Sunday
Good morning. Sorry I have been away for so long I have been out of town for the past week finishing up some commitments, Incidentally, when there isn't much to blog about, you can usually find me on Twitter posting mindless updates throughout the day. Yes, another social networking site, I know... But it's quick, easy to use and I am able to update from wherever via my cell phone. Even though it's not an IRC, I kind of use it as such, which makes Q&A much more immediate and easy. I have already interacted with some of you over there and have met many more like-minded insane Internet people. A lot of fun for sure, even if half of the updates say, "Hey! I'm not doing anything right now." Speaking of Internet stuff, this month should prove to be quite interesting as Robert and I are currently working on re-vamping 6767. Of course, when I say Robert and I... I mean Robert. He is making 6767 the hub where everything in our world comes together.
Also, janesaddiction.com is starting to take shape. Keep your eyes on that site for official updates, tour announcements, blog entries from the band, visual media and audio. Jane's really hasn't had much of a web presence over the past several years and we are trying to upgrade as quickly as we can before the NIN/JA tour.
_I just got home from Aspen, Colorado where The Aspen Youth Experience event was being held to aid at-risk youths. It's a great charity and I was honored to participate with DJ Skribble and J Mello.
_While in NYC, I shot another episode of Z Rock for IFC. That should air sometime in June.
_This Wednesday is a new episode of Dark Matter on Indie Online. 10pm-12am PST Feel free to call us at the studio to chime in on anything we may be discussing at 1-877-900-1031. You can listen live online here, or wait for the Podcast which is loaded on 6767 a day or two after the show.

Dave,
Glad to see a new post, we were starting to get concerned ;). So now that Joaquin Phoenix has retired from acting and is moving into a music career can we expect a collaboration? - hahahaha....
Have a great Sunday!

Hey Dave,
Is there a podcast for Dark Matter for the 25th Feb? The previous week you said you'd be away and you'd have to pre-record the show...but I wasn't sure if you went ahead with that or not.
Thanks,
Daniel

Not to comment on someone else but I just think that Joaquim is working on a new role. On Letterman, he reminded me of Joe Cocker, the way he was acting and talking.
Dave, so what was all the 'secretiveness' abt.(in regard to the NY trip)? I can't wait for new ZRock. Emmy in Sept?
In regard to 67 changes, will you finally have a 'photo' section or maybe just keep it to MySpace. Will the 'chat' section be re-enabled or taken down? Suggestion? At the top of the page its more of a gray-blue color. Do you think you could have the whole page, or most of it, that color. It's easier on the eyes, esp. if your blog is big. Oh....I can just hear you jokes/quips abt. THAT one! ha
I'm sorry but I couldn't stay up for Wed.'s show. Was it indeed a pre-recorded one or a repeat. There's no link or podcast for it, that's why I'm asking.
Happy to hear you survived coming to the East. SEE! We're not SO evil. Well....maybe sometimes....;}
Have fun this week. CAM

Goodmorning Dave!
I have a question, if this is going to be the hub, does that mean you will be doing most of your stuff from here, again? Miss the more personal interaction we had with you here....
Do you ever worry that you are spreading yourself too thin?
And if you do decide to answer - do you still play poker?
Always,
me

To Jane's Addiction-
I love janes addiction. I also hate janes addiction. I was elated at the news and photos of the originals playing together again and recording together. and with trent reznor...but then it is always ruined by their soap opera drama bullshit. It kills all the rad, breathtaking music they write, play, and record. Seriously....get over yourselves! You play music for a living. With all the bullshit and real problems in the world to contend with..that you guys cannot get past yourselves to write 9 or 10 tunes, record em, and put on some shows, and not fight like quibling two year olds is dissapointing, disgusting, and seems to go against everything you and your music stand for. WTF? its rock star bullshit. Nobody cares about the bullshit. Just play for fuck's sake!!!!!
from a loving frustrated long time fan forever!

Very glad you decided to join the craziness over @ Twitter. Steve Isaacs is who turned me on to it, and I've been hooked for over a year now. The honeymoon phase will pass soon, but it's still a fun app...
Hope everyone has a beautiful week! The sunshine has left LA again :( BUT, at least it's not dumping snow like in NY! You guys stay safe!!
