Spread Radio Live - 24/7 NIN/JA

To celebrate the upcoming tour, we have decide to convert Spread Radio Live into a 24/7 NIN/JA only station. That means that past episodes of Dark Matter NIN/JA Wednesdays and entire Jane's Addiction albums will be streaming at all times until the end of the tour. As the weeks progress, we will upload new Dark Matter shows and some obscure Jane's tracks off the soon to be released box set. We have a stand alone player that can be launched so you can enjoy the playlist while you work or browse or do whatever you do.

Today is our last day off before we leave for Austin Texas. I plan to do a whole lot of nothing. If you signed up for tickets to this show, you should receive an email regarding your status today. We only had a limited number of tickets set aside for the fans and if you didn't sign up in time... Know that we will be back!

Sounds great, Dave!

So, any chance of a meet and greet when you get the to the PGP in Burgettstown? I would rather come and see you than to work the venue.... would love to know!

Safe trip!

Always,
me

Dave,
Just bought tix to the 5/16 show. Very much looking forward to it. I gotta say that the price ($99 + tax =$225 for 2) is ridiculous. The fans thought the price would be cheaper not going through ticketmaster. I guess not. With times the way they are it would have been a nice gesture on the part of Jane's/NIN to make it affordable....

Jack, if it was too steep then why did you pay it? Break it down, would you pay 35 bucks to see a reunited Jane's? Yep. Would you pay $35 to see NIN? Probably. Would you pay the same to see Tom Morello, with any band, in any combination? I would.
And while everyone wishes stuff was cheaper, including shows, me included, I gladly paid it. It's a simple matter of economics. For the money, you damn sure probably won't see a better show this year. Not even close. It's a hella lot better than paying $150 for other "big name arena" bands with a shitty opener.
Just my two cents worth, not a kiss ass post, just an objective observation.

Old school,
I hear you. I just thought it would be lower. I know the lineup is amazing. More a commentary on the state of concerts in general. They've gotten way overpriced and you cannot argue that point.

i did like that 'the patient bossa' collaboration with deborah harry of perry's... the clip reminded me of the duet in the sound booths done by kylie minogue and robbie williams...well am sure robbie and kylie
's tix go down for about $120 oh and that's pop music that is fairly lightweight and unobtrusive and hasn't got much rock cred haha...think ga ga and the pussycat dolls were $120 each too so y'know bout average price range there dave don't feel like you are overwhelming anybody here...xxxoooxxxoooi'm worth millions they can kiss my ass ha!

Jack, I haven't even BEEN to a big name act in, well, a long time-since last summer, NIN to be exact. And though I love Trent and all that he stands for, equality and respect for the fans (NO one gives more out there than him) and the music and history of NIN, I also was excited to see Deerhunter open for them in a big venue.
I usually support local music nowadays, mainly because I'm lucky enough to live in a vibrant market where I can pay 10 bucks and see a kickass show just about any night of the week, thank God.
It's that very spirit that Jane's was originally formed in and one I'm anxious to feel a part of again, regardless of the price, with the Godfathers of Alternative music.

Ok, THAT was a kiss ass post, gladly. :)

Can't wait!!!

Did I read that part about the Texas show right? There are no tickets for it?? I've been waiting but it always said that tickets would go on sale tba. Texas is as close as you guys are going to be to me, so I was going to make the drive.

Damn!

What could be better than Trent and Dave at the same place?

Posts: 674 Indie103.1 vs KROQ at Coachella

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sooo Indie 103.1, the only station in L.A. with real integrity, the only station that actually plays the bands from Coachella, and is barred from being within 200 feet of Coachella. What kind of Bull Shit is this KROQ? Goldenvoice needs to step it up and partner with a legitimate station.

Yea man, fucking KROQ is shite, I never listen to it unless I have to. Indie 1031 owns the hell out of them. Overall show quality, they got all the genres covered, and covered damn well. Smash mix with Paul V, Crystal Method Community service, Passport Approved, TK, and of course, good ol' Steve Jones (The Sex Pistols) with the Jukebox.

Indie would make a great switch over station sponsor for next year GV! :P

As said earlier, Indie is putting out the latest new local/indie stuff way before k-roq (if they even play it at all).

And they're the damn station sponsor, and the only bands kroq has ever played from this year's Coachella lineup are:

Interpol
Arctic Monkeys
Sonic Youth (They don't play them like they use to..)
Circa Survive
Silversun Pikcups (about a year after Indie was already playing stuff from their EP Pikul)
RHCP
Arcade Fire (rarely)
Kings of Leon
RATM
Kaiser Chiefs
Damien Rice....

Maybe PB&J & The Kooks, not sure these days... too much kroq makes meh ears bleed =(

They use to be pretty chill back in the day, but they have gotten so mainstreamed out and repetitive.....

Loveline is funny when your cruising in the car high though lol >_<

P.S., Props to 89.9 KCRW!

I am broken hearted.

The NINJA tour date in my area was already going to be a logistical nightmare for me, and I wasn't sure if I could find anyone to go with me. Then to find out I would have to commit at least $130 for two non-refundable, will-call tickets, made it impossible. (Boo-hoo)

Dave, I hope you can come up to NorCal again soon, with or w/o JA. I'll keep my fingers crossed you might give some tickets away.

Question to other 67ers: Did anyone get (or not get) e-mail alerts from the Jane's Addiction web site? Because I never did after my first confirmation email, and I registered early and more than once.

Well just been checking out all of these sites instead of job applications, glad to see you finally got a good music review for something! Out of random boredom was checking out that Eric Avereys myspace, that man needs to cheer up a bit in my opnion, what is all this disillusion and despair etc? He wants to try being registered homeless, living on a council block and on top of that being woken by an ice cream van wailing mournfully the tune of "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine" EVERY FUCKING MORNING (and evening),

Well sorry got cut off there by this man insisting he was booked on the same computer, had to go down to the library desk and complain, never mind, was just going to say how exciting you playing in Scotland, I won't be attending that festival sadly, but believe me, it will mean enough to me to know that when you are playing your guitar, our feet are on the same soil, well, yours won't be because yours will be on a stage, but near enough, and our eyes will be looking at the same stars ,if its not overcast and pissing down with rain that is which knowing Scotland, it probably will be. Although actually I think its the same stars all over the world isn't it, just a slightly different viewpoint. I don't know I am not an astrology expert. But the main thing is i know you will FEEL the magnetic cosmic energy that lies between us. Thats actually a joke by the way, no need to alert the FBI THIS time. Have you ever been in Mcdonalds and when you got up to leave had a man suddenly shoot up behind you and sart speaking rapidly into his mobile phone while shooting you "subtle" glances! I have!
