Today, at some point, PITCHFORK will be hosting a few clips from the Echoplex show in LA. I don't know when exactly, sometime around noon PST I was told. Thanks to Todd Newman for shooting and editing these clips within a day or two!

Dark Matter Tonight
Tonight is a new episode of Dark Matter on Indie Online. 10pm-12am PST Feel free to call us at the studio to chime in on anything we may be discussing at 1-877-900-1031. You can listen here. As promised on Twitter earlier today when I was doing a random Q&A, tonight's show will be NINJA heavy to celebrate the upcoming tour. I will of course, be keeping track of you on Twitter.
Also tonight between 10:30-11:00 Erin Cummings and Julia Voth will be in the studio to promote their film, Bitch Slap.

Last Night
Thanx to everyone who came down last night to support us at Echoplex. After playing a couple little shows in Mexican restaurants Downtown, it was nice to play and actual music venue. El Cid and La Cita definitely had vibe and character, but Echoplex felt like the next right gradual move. Not too big, not too small. From what I hear, the sound was much better as they have a proper in house sound system and monitors. I certainly hope that it was an easier evening for everyone attending... We played a short, tight set with Up The Beach, Whores, 1%, Ain't No Right, Mountain Song, Been Caught Stealing, Ted... Just Admit It, Stop!, Had A Dad and Ocean Size. Here is a review from Rolling Stone today that Sue has posted for us. I felt that of the three shows we have done so far with this original line up, last night was the smoothest in terms of taking care of the audience, the stage sound, the front of house sound and our gear working properly. Thanx to Dan who ran around town yesterday repairing my head. We cut it close but that particular 900 has something all the others don't and we haven't figured out what exactly that is... All we know is that we like it best.
Trent officially announced yesterday that he has graciously invited Jane's Addiction to do some dates with Nine Inch Nails this year. We couldn't think of a better way to kick off our touring life than with NIN. One of our 2009 dates has already been announced at the Sasquatch Music Festival. JA/NIN/TV On The Radio...

On The Day_Breaking News
Thanx to everyone for the comments and suggestions regarding the registration concept. Your thoughts and ideas will be taken to the next board meeting. Tonight Jane's is playing at Echoplex and hopefully the whole thing will be much smoother on everyone attending You know those little tiny holes on the sippy lids that you get at Starbucks? Is it just me or do they always without fail cause your coffee to spill out right onto your wrist or in the cup holder of your car? "You're fuckin unbelievable man! You and me we're done... professionally!" I'd like to get some coffee with Bale and see what happens. OK I am off to sound check but not before I burn myself.

How It Works
(Eric, Dave, Stephen and Perry... via NIN.com) Robert and I upgraded the site for now adding links to MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, Jane's and the Podcast. All of our digital worlds collide here. Should make finding out different versions of the same information much easier! Tomorrow is our show at Echoplex. I understand that everyone didn't get confirmed and there are a few questions as to how it all works for those who did. I am looking into that as I type. As for transfers of names etc... My understanding is that the name used to register is the name on the list and I.D. will be required to collect the tickets which will be $10 at the door. This is to avoid issues like the guy on EBay trying to sell his confirmation. If any new information comes my way I will let you know. I am seeing the guys today at rehearsal and we will discuss.

Confirmations
(Eric, Dave and Perry... via NIN.com) Good morning. I am currently awaiting an answer regarding the confirmation emails from The Jane's Addiction Site. My understanding is that they should have gone out last night. As soon as I know, you will know. I may even get a call as I type this. What else? We have been busy rehearsing our set for the show on Monday and not a lot else to discuss at this time. Regarding the last Dark Matter, I am waiting for the file from Chase so I can load part of the show into the play list on the right. Still delving into this world of Twitter. I will try to answer the replies in my 140 characters there and elaborate here if I can. Regarding the confirmation emails... Just got a text that says they went out. Please lemme know if anyone here has received one. (Looks like they have!)

Jane's Addiction: Echoplex Feb 16th
This just in: Jane's Addiction will be playing a show in Los Angeles at The Echoplex on Monday Feb 16th around 11:00pm. Go to The Jane's Addiction Site and register... The first 500 people to do so will be placed on a list and guaranteed entry. Also, this show is 18 and over so bring the kids! As always, the first person to post here in the comments will be placed on my list plus a guest. Please be certain that you can attend before requesting the list position. Other than that, there isn't anything to officially report at this time.
After talking to Suzanne on Dark matter, I decided to give the Twitter world a whirl. (As if I need another social networking site to spend all day on!)

It has been a minute since I have checked in. A couple of things. Dark Matter on Indie Online has a new time slot... Wednesdays from 10pm-12am.
