Dark Matter & Other Stuff
Just got back from a little trip... We were in Vegas on Thursday where I played a show at The Joint with Ludacris and Tommy Lee. We did some heavier versions of Ludacris' music featuring Move Bitch, Stand Up, Money Maker and Get Back. Then, we flew out to San Diego where J Mello and I performed at a local club called Stingaree.
1. If there’s any podcast/download available for Dark Matter… could you post it?
Yes, of course... Loop is currently working on making the radio shows available for Podcast and download. Dark Matter will be available on the right side of the page very soon but you can access last week's here for the time being.
2. Did you spend election night out and about Hollywood, or at home glued to MSNBC with some friends?
Actually I was glued to MSNBC all night by myself watching the election unfold.
3. Dave, what do you feel was the most inspirational moment of President Elect Obama's Campaign?
If I was to pin point a defining moment it would have to be Obama's nomination acceptance speech at the DNC. Overall... I was impressed with the consistency of his campaign and the class he showed throughout all the mud slinging from the McCain campaign.

Also, Dave, I watched MSNBC Tuesday night alone...so awesome..if they don't win an Emmy for their coverage..that'll be a crime.

Thanks for answering my question Dave. I feel the same way about his nomination acceptance speech at the DNC. The fact that he gave it on the anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech, gave me goosebumps!

Hey Bird Vaczine, it's kinda crazy again, I found the post but you have to click about. If I can remember, you go to the top of this page and click on 'Dark Matter', then see what options come up, if 'Open' comes up, click forward on that and that should be the one you are after...something along the lines of "What the hell?" Anyway, the post title you're after is not visible on this page..hence the clicking about!! Clear as mud?! Hopefully you'll find it!
Thanks Dave for the Dark Matter link...........SB

Bird Vaczine,
The post said Open, and underneath it said "What the hell?" A few people, including me, made comments about Proposition 8. Mostly people asked Dave questions.

Election night I too was glued to TV but to CNN while on the phone with my friend in Miami. We are usually very politically aware (we both used to work at a non-profit agency that was very involved in advocating and lobbying) but this election we were so enlightened. It was such a magical moment when your precincts closed on the West coast and Obama was declared President elect. :-)
and thank you Loop! Your the bestest!!

Ha! We have an Erotica fair here in London. is that the porn thing you always go to? I may go. Obviously i am not expecting to see you there waving vibrators about etc there as it is in uk.
I don't know why, but i love the title of the song, "move bitch." I now have a strong compulsion to start saying that to people in everyday life at work and so on, who get in my way as much as poss..."move bitch!" (In a sinister tone). I like it!

Ludacirs? Tommy Lee? Dave Navarro? That's RIDICULIOS. I would have killed to see that show.
Thanks so much for the pod cast efforts. A dweeb like me is never coherent at 3am to fire up the internet radio however, I did make an effort last week...set my phone and everything...but no dice. Fast asleep.
It would be even better to get a pod cast of the Move Bitch mash up- I need me some of that in my ipod as I charge around all day wishing people would get out the way! And a "heavier version" I can't imagine.

Dave, I thought of you when I read this.
LAS VEGAS (AP)?A 22-year-old Danish poker professional won the World Series of Poker early Tuesday, turning a wheel straight on the last hand to become the youngest champion in the history of the no-limit Texas Hold ?em main event.
Peter Eastgate hit an ace-to-five straight on the turn and instantly called an all-in bet from Ivan Demidov on the river to win the title and $9,152,416. Demidov held two pair, twos and fours.
If anyone is interested, here is the link to the full story:

Dear Dr. Dave,
I've got a big problem. You see, my best friend of 20 years took me to Las Vegas (from Ottawa, ON, Canada) this past week for my birthday. The only thing she wanted to do/see while there was you! Because we were unable to find any gigs posted we didn't think this was possible. We spent the early part of Thursday night at The Bank and Moon (we even made an appearance at Playboy) before we headed to The Hard Rock. What a difference! We finally felt at home!!!
We headed to The Joint and were told that they were only open for another half hour and as we were walking in someone told us that we had just missed Tommy - bummer, but he didn't mention you were there (as if!). The Joint was empty at this point so we headed over to Wasted Space where we spent the rest of the night (and met some really cool people) but there was still not DN - although Pam (this is the BFF) did discover a rather sexy pic of you outside the ladies room. The news of the close encounter was not well received this morning and I feel that I have to make this right for her - seeing how I got the birthday trip to Vegas.
We really don't want to miss another opportunity to see you so I would be ever so appreciative if you could let me know where info of upcoming appearances can be found. Pam saw you in Montreal for the TPC concert and loved it but it's not the same as a small gig.
Cheers!
