1. Any plans in the near future to make it out to the East Coast?

As of now I don't have any East Coast travel plans. I had to think about it for a minute cause the East Coast is actually more than Manhattan. I know, it's a typical LA way of thinking but I was born and raised here. Of course, there is always upstate New York too! Oh and Miami. That's it, right?

2. Can you leak some surprise guests for the upcoming CF shows?

Now wouldn't that spoil the surprise? Besides, I like a surprise myself from time to time... So, I never find out who is coming until they walk out on stage, that way each song feels like Christmas morning.

3. Any chance of getting more Dark Matter podcasts posted?

Yes. They are posted each week on the right side of this page under Dark Matter.

4. Any updates on what's happening with SpreadTV?

I have basically gone on strike until they can produce Rachel Miner as a guest. Well, that... And the people over at Mania have decided to do some kind of "restructuring" and corporate stuff involving meetings and conference rooms and site revisions and a whole bunch of stuff that I don't really care to know about because the very mention of it all makes me sleepy. In short, we are on hiatus until January. Here is a peak at the new site.

5. What are your thoughts on Hillary being the Sec of State?

I think it is awesome! Obama has said many times throughout the campaign that he is a huge fan of Lincoln and planned to take a page from the Lincoln administration by appointing his opponents to work closely with him. Hilary brings her "presidential" capabilities to the position. It is good to see that Obama is keeping his word already on this one. Maybe, while he's at it, he can appoint Joe the Plumber to actually do the plumbing at the White House. "Sorry Joe, this one is backed up again! Better get the snake. I know you were outspoken against me during the campaign but here is an opportunity for you to give back and clean up my s*#t!"

yeah, I did mean Manhattan, but you know we try to catch you anywhere from Manhattan to Atlantic City so I guess you can extend the radius to...what did you call it? Oh, what Vegas would be like if Vegas sucked. :)

Dave, This is Andrew who got tickets from you to the J-Mello show. I just want to say thank you so much for doing so, but there was one little problem, I didn't go to the show due to a family issue, you know how that goes. I also want to say thank you for even mentioning me & Ryan in your latest post because you didn't even have to do that, but you did. Is there anyway I could get another chance to see you in a future show? Thanks again for everything & I hope this is possible. Much love & respect.

-Andrew

No, your "typical LA way of thinking" is absolutely correct.
If you were to blog "I'm heading to the East Coast, I'm going to to be in Raleigh North Carolina" I would think to myself "WHA?? Dave's meshugener! He has no sense of direction!"

I actually like your idea regarding an appointment for "Joe the plumber" and I think you should submit it to President Obama. But doing actual plumbing work might not fit into his book/speaking/country western recording deal. Warhol promised 15 minutes of fame? Joe's ran out 3 weeks ago. He might have to change his name to "Joe the media hog".

Hey Dave,
It's cool how you are giving out tickets for your different events to us fans. There is a sense of community and appreciation about it all. Here is an idea. You should have a contest where the winner gets to be a guest on your Dark Matter radio show. He/She can ask you some questions, through in a couple of songs to the play list; basically, just get to hang out. After the show the person could then do a video commentary on the experience and post it to your blog.

no, no, you're right; that was a stupid idea.
yes, I know, I'm a tool for even suggesting it.
yes, I agree, I need to get a life.

Come on now, everyone knows the East Coast is all about Brooklyn.

Now for a little education- thought everyone could use some reading material for the long weekend:http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/25/science/25dark.html?_r=1&8dpc

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

the LOT, it's not a stupid idea. They've done it before, someone here (Jezebel) bid in a charity auction on Ebay and got to be a guest DJ for CFR. A long time ago, probably about 3 years or more.

Hey Dave do you think there will ever be a time that you will come to Australia and play?
What did you think the last time you came down here?
They say we are a very laid back and relaxed kind of society, but being from here its hard to see that from the inside, would you agree.
well its nearly christmas so take care out on the streets everyone as it seems the time that people start to loose it abit.
