Z-Rock Interview

Here is an interview I did about the Z-Rock episode I appeared in, which aired recently on IFC. We talked a lot about the show and then went in several different directions. One of my better experiences doing interviews.

Very funny interview..."We don't like to let him out of the house" had me rollin. And amen to all that McCain/Obama talk. You know, I remember during the last election you had little to say, and even went so far as to say you dont really follow politics. So if you feel like doing that S10 still, here's a q - What in particular has drawn you to this years campaign? The downward spiral our country is in, the canidates, msnbc lol...just curious why the perceived shift in your attitude towards politics. (maybe its just the desire to publicly discuss your opinions that's changed, not the interest per se)

Regardless of the reason, Im glad your on board! Have a great rest of your day 67ers...Im off to school now for 6 hours of english classes. :/

xoxo

Awww... Dave, you really do have a soft spot for little kids! Screaming at that little girl (even though it was acting) was hard on you, that's sweet haha... this makes me go back to my question about you and kids...

If you were ever to become a father (just keeping the option open... you never know), what traits of yours would you like to see pass on to your child and what traits would you NOT like to see passed on and so forth?

And yes, McCain is nothing but a grumpy old man.... did you seem him at the debate last night... "NOT YOU TOM BROKAW!!!" I mean he was really trying to be friendly and have a sense of humor because of the comments he got from the last debate when he didn't even acknowledge or looked at Obama face-to-face but no matter what, he still came off as a grumpy old man... you could see right through him. Especially when Obama said, "You're the one singing Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran," and if you seen the look on McCain's face.... it was priceless. Didn't you love it when he referred to Obama as "that one" to. It's awful... we really don't need Palin in the White House either, she's even worse than him... I can't even go into it about her.

But best comment she made,

"Yeah, I remember hearing Joe Biden give speeches when I was like 6 years-old," and Katie Couric said something along the lines of "isn't it kind of inappropiate for you to knock Biden's age when you're running mate is 6 years older than him," and then Palin started backtracking and said that she wasn't trying to knock Biden's age/experience at all, but instead she was acknowledging it.... haha. Oh yeah, Healthcare... it's all about making jobs, the economy....... jobs..... Alaska isn't a foreign country ;-).

Anyways, take care... much love and respect,
-Kirsten

Let's put it this way...
That little girl is now damaged after taking the faux wrath of Navarro. In 12 or 13 years when she turns 18...you'll wanna date her. So it's all good. ;-)
Funny interview. Now I'm not sure (since your Mr. Politcal guy) if you've been watching the debates at all but I've been watching them on CNN. I am totally addicted to the graph CNN puts at the bottom of the screen. "The lines are going UP!!...Ooh flatlining..."
The next debate is being held 20 minutes from my house. I looked into trying to get tickets but it's only for current students or alumni. I thought about getting a fake Hofstra ID and had visions of Harvey Korman at the end of Blazing Saddles buying the movie ticket "Student?....Are you kidding?"

... poor grandpa, he's so stressed out from this campaign that he's losing it. He really won't know where he is anymore if he was to win the nomination :(.

Great interview sir...Right on with your political views it is imperative that all eligible voters go out to the polls and vote for Obama, that counts for 2 right? It would be nice.

Read an interview with Bret Michaels this morning and this was one of the questions, thought you might enjoy it. ;)

Now that Flavor Flav has stepped away from his show, what musician do you think would be good to do a "Flavor/Rock of Love" show?

That's tricky. I don't get too involved in other people's lives or drama, so I don't know who would make it interesting, maybe Dave Navarro.

To make the show successful I believe you have to be real and down to earth, yet have been on an amazing journey and have a good story of ups and downs to weave in and out of the dating part of the show. Dave seems like he could fit the bill real well..

Hope you have a great weekend, Take Care and God Bless...xoxoxox

The LA Ink episode was on last night. It was amazing. Loved it. If I had a clue I'd post a link...but check local listings for TLC...they usually show the week's episode throughout the weekend. It was really cool. Don't miss it y'all!

Watched the LA Ink spot....and though it was funny watching you converse while in obvious pain, I think Todd's video of the whole experience was much better.

One other thing, you like to take off your shoes to get comfortable, Kat tattoo's w/o shoes and you have a drummer who likes to drum barefoot!

It may be shocking to some but blacks only make up 3% of the U.S. population.... so it's more than a black power Obama movement ;). I wouldn't pay much attention to Diddy either... he can't speak for us working class.

Well I can't watch the show, but would you on your tv show consider having Belinda Bentley taking questions on a regular basis from people with bazaar pet issues? If you don't get any, just do what other shows do and make them up. Will never forget my mother reading out this long winded problem page letter from this woman who could not get over the death of her cat, despite her husband taking her out for nice meals, buying her presents, and even doing the housework because she was to depressed to do any. My mother slammed the paper down, said if she thought the death of our cat would have that effect on my Dad she'd kill the bloody cat. Don't worry she didn't. our cat wasn't a cute cuddly cat any way, more a ruthless killing machine, topcat of all the other cats in the area. I would personally like to ask Belinda Bentley why he had a big thing for viciously attacking bare legs and feet. Particularly childrens.

Also, would you consider having a slot where you consider a different sexual postion each week, the pros and cons, maybe some sort of demonstrations, this would be of great interest to someone like me who never really gets to have sex anymore, and whose main highlights of the day are watery cups of espresso choc from the drinks machine, fantasising about younger co workers penisis, and leaving stupid comments that no-one really wants to read on people's blogs.

But another thing....do any of your records have hidden messages if you play them backwards? I ask because I am expecting Eric Clapton to dedicate a song/ message to me based on our recent meeting of eyes/souls at some traffic lights. But someone at work told he wouldn't send a message directly, what I'd actually have to do is play his next album backwards and I'd probably hear his message to me then.

I'm glad you shared your passion for Obama. I know there are a lot of young people for Obama, I just hope they step up to the plate and vote. Speaking of stepping up to the plate, you're for the Red Sox too, right? HaHa
