Great cause! That should be a really fun night!

But you and Billy have to remember, bowling shoes are not as cool looking as Nike dunks!

Dave,

It's really great how you and the Rock Star Community are working so hard for this Cause - Autism. Hope everyone in the area comes out to make this a very beneficial benefit.

Wish I was close, even though I am not a bowler, I would give it a shot for this cause.

Is there any way we can donate to the benefit online?
LOL,
Marion

Fun, fun, fun!! I saw this advertised a few days ago...said it was "Hosted by DN" which of course caught my attention...AND Debbie fuckin Gibson is gonna be there...I LOVED her as a child. What a crazy night that would be!

I'm gonna see if I can swing it...I know its for charity but $150 is a little steep for me. As Tim Gunn would say...I've gotta "make it work!"

xoxo

hey dave, it's so bitchin' that you guys are doing a benny for autism. i'm sure you will make a lot of money for a great cause.
so, i have a question for ya': how do you feel/what is your opinion on the studies linking autism to childhood vacc's?
i've read studies on both opinions. what they think it is is predispositon to negative impacts of heavy metals, eg the mecury mixed w/ the vacc. what do you think of that? one of my physiology professers thinks it's BS, then i talk to a nurse mid-wife i know who thinks it's not... i'm torn on my own personal stance.
hope you hade/are having fun in SF, i miss SF, i'm from east SJ which is a big mess in my opinion, but am starting to miss my family enough that once i'm established as a nurse i might move back down in five years or so, dunno yet, i'd probably head for santa cruz or campbell, but SF rocks!
the best, amy

aymes, I reckon there is definitely a link with jabs and autism, and speaking as someone who had very bad reaction to smallpox jab as child and nearly died from it, there was a big cover up in australia in the sixties, a large number of kids died as a result of smallpox jabs and others brain damaged. But I notice a strong link with digestive/stomach pains, problems and autism. A lot of the kids I saw had stomach problems, intolerance to certain foods and so on, which indicates chemicals from food affecting brain chemistry.

autism is a weird one, all these people get diagnosed with it but they aren't, they are just on the "spectrum." I.E nobody knows what quite is wrong with them.

One particularly precious memory I have of working with autistic children is of a little Girl, dressed in silver and supposed to be dancing as a star in the christmas performance, shouting "you stupid fuck fucking fuckshit fuckers!" at the audience then her hysterical mother blaming US for teaching her bad language.

Wow! another long post! Guess who is avoiding work! Well I have another question for Dave if he is still taking them...a while ago he said he loved his fans as much if not more than they loved him..but then went onto to talk about that "extra special time" when someone posted who he was NOT so sure that he loved....was he referring to one person in particular? Being a celebrity does he ever get people latching on who he just CAN'T get rid of tactfully? Has he ever contemplated hiring a hit person in these situations? I'm sure with his money he could get someone knocked off quietly and professionally, without legal recourse.

On the subject of Autism don't you think Michael Jackson was/is a bit autistic? He really had a lot of the signs. A great imitator. a lot of autistic children are great imitators. Very sensitive and responsive to sound and music. but also, quite detatched from others maybe? I don't know, just a theory.

I wanna play Rockband with Rockstars. Camp Freddy to the resuce! What a great thing you all are doing for Autism!

One of our dear friends son was diagnosed this year with PDD-NOS; Pervasive Developmental Disorder. The disorder is supposed to be a bit milder then Autism but still has the similar symptoms. She tells us stories of how her son will have an outburst at the grocery store and people actually stop and stare and say things like; that lady needs to control her kid or she need to slap the shit out of him. Some of the meds they physicians prescribed her son were making him want to kill or hurt people…One day she watched him calmly grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter and told her to stay there because he was going to put the knife in her chest, and or he would just slap her in the face, pull her hair and try to scratch her eyes out. So my heart goes out to the families that are new to this disorder and are still trying to find out what works for them. God Bless them all.

Any chance your going to spill the beans and tell us about the pilot program your working on? See pa… we don’t subscribe to the WSJ and I couldn’t read the entire article, which really sucks you know… Hope your having great week so far…

God Bless you pa…xoxox…Yoli

So I might be a bit late on this but no more Camp Freddy Radio...... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! What is up with that?!! So there's no more Bill-Mo and D-Nav, no more crazy funny rants, no more Starbucks rants, no more Pink Berry rants, no crazy callers, all the greatness that made CFR..... no more? You guys had such a powerful "return" (3 weeks ago) that I couldn't wait for a fresh start but now you guys are gone... are you guys just leaving Indie and moving on to uncensored radio or what... have to know about that when you can let us know the 411.

Besides that, I applaud and think it's a great thing that you are hosting this event to raise awareness/money towards autism, both you and Camp Freddy, I have a cousin who is autistic so I'm familiar with it. I don't live in L.A. but I'm sure it'll be one hell of a night... anyways hope all is well. Take care!

Much Love and Respect,
-Kirsten

Great cause!

My 3 year-old nephew was diagnosed with Autism a year ago. My brother/sister-in-law have done early intervention, GFCF diet, endless testing, etc... but there has been little progress so far. He just started preschool in an Autistic class, hopefully that will bring some positive change.

When he was first diagnosed, I literally combed the internet for anything to do with Autism. I wasn't looking for the cause, exactly, just trying to arm myself with as much information as possible.

I know people want something, that one thing to point a finger at, but it's a spectrum disorder - the symptoms are widespread, and I feel that the causes are also. Similar to an allergic reaction... two people may break out in hives, but the causes may be completely different.

Do I think that vaccines can cause Autism? Possibly, amongst other things. Children receive 3x more vaccines today than they did in the 1980s - and during that time, Autism rates have risen dramatically. I believe they are a little higher here, in Massachusetts, than the rest of the country.

Here's one website that I found particularly interesting:

http://www.autismrecovery.com

It's one mother's experiences with her severely Autistic child, whom she feel is on the road to recovery. While I don't believe her conclusions and approach will work for every child, I do believe they worked for her son.

With time, I think that my nephew's condition will improve, it's just a matter of finding the right combination to unlock his particular situation. In the meantime, it's been frustrating and heartbreaking.

Thanks for supporting such a great cause!

Know you are busy hope SF was not a bad thing.
You have always had a wicked sense of humor (SF valley was too small & we are way too old)
Have a question... A guitar player just came out of nowhere and has no history back before 2002...
He is playing with the old guard and his bio is BS. Personaly I did not care until I made my 12 year old play the rules he set and he changed them. Long story and if you are board I will explain but I dont think this is the format.
I think I know what he is hiding besides his age, but would like conformation. No he never did anything I would have to take care of.
She was honest about her age and only asked questions.
Played in your world & left to stay alive so I know what I let her get into.
Delete or answer your choice but I think this all plays to your sense of humor, don't want to ruin him just make him think

Great cause. Wish I was nearer, it drives me insane sometimes living over the pond.
On a complete other note entirely, do you remember Dilana? She was doing a tour over here in the U.K but management melt down - the record company left her stranded last week - anyway she's back over the Atlantic and has resumed touring in Canada, (was meant to see her here this Friday sadly). Just read her myspace blog and she's opened it up to her fans to support her with places to stay and home cooked meals. Thought it was a great attitude to take, show going on regardless and also, why not. So, if anyone is a fan of hers or can help out go check her myspace page! Sounds a blast, but then I wouldn't mind a bunch of roadies and rockers staying over at all - kind of reminds me of Uni! Have a great weekend all.

If you are still taking questions, i have one that just pops to mind for some reason whenever I look at that picture. Which of you has the biggest penis? I know, its childish, but from the heart.

That is a TOTAL BUMMER about CFR, it was one of the funniest shows I've heard in years. Indie have lost their head up their ass. But if Dave is staying......there is still hope.

Good luck with the autism bowling...that sounds politically incorrect but it wasn't intended. Personally I'm lucky enough not to have friends or relations suffering from autism....plenty of other problems instead. I spent time with someone who suffered from Asperger's (sp?) Syndrome on a holiday once, my husband and I ended up keeping an eye on her because she couldn't cope completely on her own. The rest of the tour group just avoided her and didn't volunteer to help her much....which I thought was a bit shitty. It didn't take much effort...

Anyhow, take care everyone......................SB
