Z Rock - IFC, tonight at 8:30pm
I know it's been forever since I have checked in here... I have been pretty slammed lately with travel and SpreadTV and Camp Freddy and some shows with DJ Skribble. It's all great stuff but it's also a lot to juggle. I am actually off to do some stuff right now and will check in later but if you guys want to throw some questions at me that would be cool. Give me somewhere to start... Also, Tonight at 8:30pm on IFC is my episode of Z Rock. It's a super funny show so set yur TiVos and check it out.

Hello, Dave!
Great to hear from you!!!!!
Okay, a few questions - with your busy schedule, are you watching any TV shows? What's your favorite?
Did you catch "Gone Country?" How do you feel about Sebastian Bach "Going Country?"
Any thought on have a hypnotherapist on your show?
If you could be doing something different right this minute, what would it be?
Peace and Love!
Always,
me

Great to hear from you, I hope you have a new Mr. Navarro's Neighborhood video soon!
Dave, have you had a chance to watch your friend Brooke Burke on Dancing With The Stars? She's doing really well.

You've been busy and not had time but...
Question - sometimes do you need to take a break from 6767/mySpace, etc. because it becomes a chore rather than a pleasure to keep up?

Welcome back! Thanx for letting us ask some questions:)
What made you so interested in politics this year? I know you were for Hillary at the start but seem to moved towards Obama.
My interest is purely for the future of my children and their future. Plus, seeing Obama speak in 04 at the Democratic Convention , I knew Dems had a chance again.
You are lucky you live in CA, other places aren't so open-minded, rather ignorant:

Dave!!!! Welcome back.... you just made my day, I wasn't able to see you last night (of course, that's impossible for me), however, I will be able to get my two doses of you tonight because of Z-Rock and this post :p. I just remember seeing that clip of you screaming at that little girl because she didn't sing at the right time as Paulie so it should be some good stuff.
Anways, my question is (may be loaded...)
If you were ever to become a father (just keeping the option open... you never know), what traits of yours would you like to see pass on to your child and what traits would you NOT like to see passed on?
I don't think that question has ever been asked before so hopefully it's a new question for ya because I know being asked the same questions over and over again can get tiring.
But anyways, I'll be watching Z-Rock tonight and thanks for stopping by and letting us know you're still there... we really appreciate it and I know you're always working hard. Take care...
Much Love and Respect,
-Kirsten

Oopsies- Since Tammy already asked you the same question on myspace, I will come up with another one.
If you had to choose, which could you live without: TV, the internet, a telephone or friends?
:)

Hi DN,
Great to have news, really glad you're back.
Questions:
1) Usually when you disappear you tell us or when you're busy as hell you leave teasing updates to make us smile (we're dependent!) this time you vanished and so I wondered if it was a result of that drama and the CF gig / guy with girlfreind etc and do you get pissed off with us!
2)- What's been the highlight lately for ya and what's been making you smile? Have you had anytime for fun amid all that hard work?
Hope you get some chill-out time this Sunday.
Love,

Bummer, I don't get IFC!!! I hope you will be able to put a clip of it up on YouTube, or here. xoxo
P.S. I just thought of another question. Are you planning on watching the 24 TV Movie in November? I sure have missed Jack!!!

Welcome back Dave :) Enjoyed the hell out of the CF show last night. Here are a few pics I took to share with all you guys who aren't in the area.

The only question I ever have for you Dave is when you are filming SpreadTV so I can come down and watch the taping!

Yeah Dave, when ARE you going to have a live taping so Amber can finally get that autograph for me! :)
My question,(other than the taping one of course) is, is there a reason why Spread TV's broken up into segments? Don't get me wrong, still love it, but IMO it tends to loose the great flow that yourself and Todd had.
Brilliant answer by the way to Mary on Dr Dave. So true that if you don't deal with losses they do have a tendency to come back and bite ya on the butt. Reminded me I still have some dealing of my own to do.
Take care

Anything new on new solo music?
You had mentioned toward the begining of the year that you were going to move on a new solo project. Has your schedule been re-arranged or are you writing/putting together ideas?
As always, thanks for the creative inspiration!

...actually, my girl Alexandra would have been perfect for the video: http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/16/l_ffffce26794e496cacbed0a75d0d3341.jpg
I took her to see KHZ tonight and that was her outside after the show.
...AND she's currently #1 in IFC's "Dress Your Kid Like A Rockstar" contest! I'm FREAKING!

I just watched your spot on that Z Rock show and I was surprised that I actually thought it was funny and this is coming from someone that has pretty much pissed on everything you've done since the Relapse gigs.
How much of your dialog was improvised? You should try to get more acting work, because you seriously did a good job man.

don't suppose you still wear the same kind of clothing as you did onstage with jane's like the fishnets and the lingerie negligees with boa feathers resplendent on the sleeves when you disco on down with skribbles ...ur fave clothing for chilling @ home in and don't say versace...passion 4 fashion do you consider it a superflous external matter not to distract you from the more important work of creating or do you consider it an
important reflection and expression of your inner self and would you like to get naked and gyrate sometime soon sweetie ha of course that is probably where you've been all this time...are you worried about the american economy what would you do if there was a recession and you went bankrupt and had to crash on my lounge for the week cos the banks foreclosed on you and all your worldly possessions were gone...course you get to keep one guitar which one would you choose?would you be happy with one guitar?xxxxkisses

thankss for letting us comment,
do you think the lack of good music today is caused by mass communication? or if you have any ideas of why it is the way it is

D-
Just got back from the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin TX (where I now live) and I was blown away by talent I saw today.
...THE FOO FIGHTERS !!
what a day...if only the Panic Channel would have played. Where is Steve Isaacs these days ? You still keep in touch ? You guys were / are great. Perkins and Chaney are the shit. Thanks for keepin in touch, Dave.

.... Dave, that little girl is very damaged now... her life will never be the same, "I don't want a little girl!!!" And of course I am talking about Z-Rock haha. Best part was "Celebrities Gone Mad" and you were "ripping" on her and then your love for plants... love it. You could really have your own show, wait you already do, but you know what I'm saying. You absolutely smashed that acting gig and I think you could easily take more comedic roles :p.
Now that it has been said, I agree with Loulabell, I messaged Todd about the same thing (Spread being cut up into segments) and I know he mentioned to me it was Mania's idea, but I don't like it either... it just takes something away from the show I think. Ironically, that segment on Dr. Dave, Mary's problem, I'm having the EXACT same problem which kind of freaked me out... the timing and everything... couldn't have been more off. Matter of fact, I had just came home from the hospital when I watched that clip.
But anyways, loved Z-Rock tonight, you killed it!

Someone just mentioned Foo Fighters above.... lol you know Taylor Hawkins just loves you right? He is a huge fan of Jane's and is always mentioning JA and of course.... you and your nipple rings (no joke) haha. The Foo's had this feature on MTV (I can't remember the exact feature) but Taylor mentioned you and did this AWFUL impersonation of you lifting up your short grabbing your rings and going into some crazy laugh but it was all out of love :p.
It was nothing bad at all though, he

Great show last night at Paramount Dave - you're too kind to your fans.
Guitar guy here, so bear with me. What's up with the green Fender Medium picks? Are you out of the black and white Spread picks? Also, I believe you were playing a new white PRS. I could tell because it had different birds. Have you done a redesign? I imagine you don't just use the signature models and actually get customs built.
Finally, that Skribble thing was (fill in most current hip word or phrase for "the coolest"). The War Pigs mix made the night for me.
Take it easy,
Rob
PS - somebody named "Aggie" above suggested the Mighty Boosh. I second that - it's brillant!

do you have an idea for a new crisp flavour? In America you would call it potato chip. Walkers crisps have a competition, you can't actually enter because you are American, but please; you are such a talented genius I am sure it will take you less than a second to come up with just one brilliant, unique and inspiring flavour. That could win me fifty thousand pounds. Thats about one hundred thousand dollars. Not much to some maybe, but to a lowly broadband sales person who listens to people whine abut intermittent internet connection all day, fifty thousand pounds
woudl enable me to finally say what I am really thinking to just one of these people. e.g..." are you aware there are people in other parts of the world who don't have clean water to drink.... and yet I have to listen to you drone on for an hour about some little light on your computer flashing on and off????????? I am not a technical support person and I putting the phone down on you now....you boring pompous fool."

If I put a healthy ficus in front of you or a healthy set of breasts in front of you, which would you spray first?

Hi Dave!
Been so long since we really heard of you.
Here in Belgium I don't have any important questions about Spread and so on, but more on things that could "happen in Europe", like Panic Channel and (I know you're bored and you'll say you don't know anything more than us on this subject, but I know it's nbot true :p) Jane's Addiction !
We want you in Belgium or Luxembourg and all over Europe, becuz' since 2003, nothing, no band, could make me feel like I wanna feel when I go to a gig...
Hope you'll see this message and hear what's actually the voice of thousands and thousands of fans...
Peace!

YAY! DN…so glad to have you back…There are so many great questions thrown on the table for you…I would have to say that I’m totally interested in hearing your response to fatherhood and I would like to add to that question…
If and when you decide to have children, would you consider staying home more and less travel or would you take your family along for the ride?
Saw Z-Rock last night and Mr. Navarro you are remarkable…no really…you should consider having your own sitcom TV show. I think it’ll be a success. Love the stomping of the foot foot when you were screaming at the little girl…so, so funny.
Your not really into plants are you? Not that there’s anything wrong with plants but…didn’t see any plants in the pics of the loft…btw...your loft is really nice... I really like the light fixture above your table reminds me of a cluster of orbs looking over you… nice. I so wish I could keep my house as clean as your loft…Margaret and I are always on the kid’s asses about keeping their rooms clean and that’s a work itself…
I too miss the entire hour of SpreadTV …any chance it’ll go back to the full hour? I know someone already asked but just thought I would join in as well. I know…what about you break it up in pieces AFTER the full hour segment.
Ugh…I know I said I wouldn’t ask again but before I close I’m going to ask anyway and I know you’ve been extremely busy but I’m just checking…Have you even begun working on your solo album?
I hope you have a great week and as always…God Bless pa………..Love Yoli
