OZZY with Camp Freddy

(Photo: Wendybird) Last night's Camp Freddy show goes down in the band's history as one of the all time greatest experiences in our 6 year career. We have had the honor of playing with some of rock's most amazing and talented musicians. A list that is so vast that it is too long to type here. Go to Camp Freddy's MySpace page for a fairly full listing. Last night, however, was probably the most incredible for me personally as Ozzy joined us at The House of Blues for three songs... Crazy Train, Iron Man and Paranoid. Of all the artists we have had the pleasure of working with, none have had a more intense and profound effect on me than Black Sabbath. They are the pioneers of Heavy Metal. Their music has not only influenced me, but it has influenced just about every other heavy band that has in turn, influenced me. Having the opportunity to perform live with Ozzy is literally a dream come true. The House of Blues was cranked up to a level I have never seen in there before. The energy in the room was so electrifying that it could have powered up New York City for a year. Thanks to Ozzy for joining us on stage for a night that everybody in the club will remember forever!

What a review DN - can feel that energy from you in your words, the buzz flew right onto the webpage! So cool that you've achieved so much and are still being blown away, aw Dave, love ya! And Ozzy is brilliant.
Must have been fantastic to be in the audience too.
Great pic Wendybird.

I asked this on Billy's Blog...
I wondered why it took so long for Ozzy to climb on stage with CF. Your good friends with Ozzy and Sharon and Billy is like Ozzy's adopted son. When you started playing "crazy train" did you suddenly feel like that 16 year old kid sitting in his bedroom? Because that's a dream come true.

But just this year alone some amazing people creeped up on stage with CF.

Dude that is very cool!

Also like many others, I presumed it was only a matter of time until Ozzy bounced up to jam. Very nice, just like that Wendy shot. She's really rad at live music photography, no doubt.

Also in the realm of rad legends who are generally considered founders of metal, along with C.F. jam cats... Motorhead (I have no clue how to umlaut on a keyboard) are coming out with new schtuff and touring soon... Any chance of seeing Lemmy on Spread? That would be rad as fuck!

How cool is that DN…Vixen is so right about the energy felt while reading the blog…Ozzy is just amazing, Margaret and I have been attending his concerts since the age of 13 in Texas of course. I can just imagine the roar and the singing along of the audience. I hope we get to see some footage on You Tube.

Let me share this with you before I close out…When we took Julian to his first Ozzfest he was 7yrs. Ozzy was playing second stage. It was so funny to watch him with his Mohawk moving his head back and fourth just rockin it and singing along. After Ozzy performance we began walking to the main stage to see System of a Down. Julian turns to me and says…”You know mom…Ozzy sure sounds better on CD then he does in person.” It was the funniest thing. I’m so bummed were going to miss Ozzfest this year…Margaret says back to school clothes is more important…Damn It! Hope your having a great weekend. Have a fun and safe week pa…God Bless

Are you sure it was the real Ozzy? Just kidding, but there was an Ozzy impersonator on America's Got Talent this week, and Sharon asked him to pull his pants down to prove to her he wasn't her husband. Sounds like you guys had a great time, sorry I missed it. xoxo

How cool is that huh? I could tell your Xcitement when you were talking on the phone to Billy.

Billy and Matt seemed to be on a high also. Ozzy playing with you guys would be like KISS or TPC playing at a private event for me!!

Imagine how LUCKY you are to play with your idols and impress them with your guitar skills:)

I commend Camp Freddy for keeping the rock going!

Keep the buzz going-Besos, Db

Believe you me, we could use some of that electricity right about now. 'Round theese parts it's dead as a doornail, like, you can hear the tumbleweeds, very depressing.

It's all very inspiring to hear you and the rest of the guys so positive and pumped. Congrats on a great show and hope there is more to come! In NYC!!

Will you ever be back on CFR? Missing the sex advice.

Slice xx
