Dave & Todd go to the Playboy Mansion

Ha, just watched 'the' Chrissy Hynde clip!!! And I thought she was such a shy and retiring kinda gal! I think she called your bluff and out Navarroed Dave Navarro! I'm dead curious as to what happened after - did "sweaty and shriveled" have the desired effect?!

Tried to watch the latest Spread TV on Mania yesterday but I just kept getting ads - I assume it's up and running now. Amusing clip above, but the scripted stuff is sometimes not the funniest. When is Todd going to get his own back?

Take care everyone..........................SB

Btw Dave...on the lack of facial hair...It really makes you look younger according to myself and my hubby. Great video my friend, poor Todd (so staged but still funny!)

Hope you guys had an awesome time in Hugh's fortress of "solitude" ><

Wow.. I was just watching a few clips at Youtube and somehow got to this old thing:

Ah... the good old combination of Dave, a guitar and a kickass Wah-wah sure do the trick in solos :)

So I've just returned from LA. Camp Freddy was fuckin AWESOME!!! I landed at LAX, ate at Rosco's then headed over to the Viper Room. I got right up front between Dave and Donovan. What a night and what pictures.... I have even more respect for Chrissy now.

Dave - some of the looks on your face were priceless!!! I never knew your eyes could get that big.

Thanks for another great show!!!

You guys are too funny, but I think it's time for Todd to outwit you!!! I would love to see another tour of Mr. Navarro's Neighborhood.

You're too funny!!!

Dave! There seems to be so much animosity between you and Todd! Maybe some counseling? Maybe Dr. Joyce Brothers?

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I just can't understood why Hugh Hefner never got a given Nobel prize for his contributions to twentieth, indeed twenty first century cultural development. But-thats why I love coming to this blog, it's always garanteed to give that little bit of "cultural depth" to my day.

P.S for a laugh you should check out Mel's video blog, flight of the Choncords. These folk musicians try to make it in New York and have just one stalker fan who they really hate. But she made her own video blog! funny stuff.

I love your new look, Dave. It's fantastic. Thanks for the Camp Freddy clips. Have a great week.

Hey Dave and all,

Awesome clips of the CF show, Chrissy really out did ya on that one! Be interested to see what happened after that clip ended!! Lucky Chrissy I say!
Decided I'm gona have to take a trip to LaLa land next year, sick of living vicariously through everyone else. Have to see it for myself!

BTW, love KHZ's "All for Nothing". Can't get it here even on iTunes and it's always a hassle getting it through the States store. Haven't been able to hear "Dave Navarro the Sequel"! Any idea if their thinking of international release? Can't keep the CF podcast on my ipod for ever! Don't do the Limewire thing, don't like the whole file sharing (and, I don't really know how! Heehee) Prefer CD's myself.
Thanks for the Pics and vids Amber.

You should try and get Flight of the Conchords on Spread. Awesome guys, and from here.. New Zealand. Love this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGOohBytKTU

Take care
Lou xxx

This is funny!

I just wondered, what happened to the other post with you and Ms. Hynde? Would have loved to have read the comments posted there....

So Dave, who is on the upcoming schedule for Mania TV?

Always,
me

TOTALLY OFF THE SUBJECT:

on The Panic Channel website Dave used to have a picture posted of Carmen & himself laying on a bed, her on top of him, heads at the end of the bed, and it was shot from the end of the bed toward them. They were naked (but you couldn't see anything). It was a beautiful picture. My friend wants to have some pictures of her and her husband done and I've told her about this picture, but it's no longer on the TPC website. Does anyone have that picture they could email to me or could tell me a site to find it on? My email is tracisander@hotmail.com

Thanks!!

Haha! that would be good to get flight of the Conchords on spread..what would be even FUNNIER is to get them, with you to do a version of Closer and have Mel think it was about her!!! I feel a clip such as this would be quite amusing. The actress who plays Mel is very good.
"I'm talking Elvish."

Dave,
My girlfriend and I went to the benefit show on july 17 which was actually my birthday. My girlfriend is a huge fan of yours and you were such a dissappointment. When you walked by us she was excited to actually see you and gently put her hand on your shoulder to say hi. You looked at her and pulled your shoulder away like she was some piece of shit. We drove all the way from Sacramento to see your band. Not like we wanted to hang out with you but you could have been more respectful. You breathe the same air we do and let's face it. You play guitar dude....it's not like you're finding the cure for cancer. Thanks for making my girlfriend feel like shit.

Shame about the post above, I would have felt like shit if that had happened to me - and there's a good chance it would!!

The only thing I'd say in defence is that Dave probably gets loads of people saying hi, touching him or generally getting in his face. He didn't know about the birthday, the long journey, the excitement, etc.... It's not an excuse to be shitty to someone but if you're expected to be 'on' for everyone, all the time, I can see how it can get tiring and sometimes make you behave less respectful than you should.

drs, did you enjoy the show? Because wasn't that the reason of driving from Sacramento to attend a benefit concert by Camp Freddy in LA and not receiving acknowledgement from Dave Navarro.
Camp Freddy ALWAYS give a kick ass fun show never disappoints.

besides touching someone, whether you play guitar in front of thousands or just a common person on the subway is an invasion of personal space and anyone would automatically "buck" the advance.

There's always ONE whatever the situation!

Hey DRS - did your girl go to the show to celebrate your birthday with you and see Camp Freddy and Dave play or to try and grope his shoulder? It was a benefit gig to help their friend Scott and by all accounts looked utterly kick ass amazing. Shame you let what could have been a great birthday melt into a puddle by blaming someone who was probably a zillion miles away in his own world. And even if he wasn't - he's entitled to do as he pleases.

Aside from that - DN, have you seen The Dark Knight? How about you and Todd doing a lil Spread version of your own? Damn it that bat suit could be fun lol...

R.I.P. Heath Ledger.

Have a great weekend everyone, it's almost FRIDAY!

XOXOXOX.

Well Dave... I am 21 yers old, had just become a fan and you deleted my myspace for some reason.

Thats heartbreaking about that girl being made to feel like shit. Actually. You know how it is for us "ordinary" people, for her to get a bit carried away in excitement is understandable. But she will be regretting doing that now, and probably still feels like shit that the person who she so much looked forward to seeing did that.

But are you that interested in ordinary people? I really don't think so. You have so many interesting ordinary people in Los Angeles who you could be showing an interest in for your show, but you don't much bother with THEM. Are you interested in other people's lives and struggles? Nope. I don't think so.

I think this is why Faith Hill called out that audience person a few months ago: because people feel they have a right to touch perfomers.

DRS & girlfriend --you don't have any right to touch me or a guitar player or a cancer reseacher. And while focusing on yourself (your bday, you drove miles, your girlfriend's feelings, etc) that benefit was to focus on providing love & support to a friend.

Next time you go to a concert, try tapping the performer gently on the shoulder, you might get carried out by security.

Ok, for those who responded to my girlfriend touching Dave on the shoulder. That's what it was a light touch. She didn't hit him or assault him in any way. If anything she was praising him and just saying hello. She wasn't invading his space. We went to support the band and their friend. My sister is recovering from cancer so I believe in the cause. It was a situation where I feel Dave thinks he is above us ordinary people. It just left a sour taste in our mouths that's all.

Drs, so sorry for your sisters cancer bout. I can attest since I have had several bad times with cancer within my family and still do.

God Bless.
