Whew!
What a month we have had! Our residency at the Roxy is officially closed out and to paraphrase what Mark McGrath said, "It's like when summer camp is over and you want to go home, but you know you are gonna miss the friends you have made." Thank you all for your support over what has been the best May of my life. I have been off-line for a while now, so if there are any questions to throw at me, now is the time. Also, don't forget to check out the latest Spread TV featuring Pauly Shore!

DN welcome back!!
Was checking out Ambersonian's pics on myspace this morning of the last night at the Roxy and it looked so much hot fun!
1) Do you have any birthday plans?
2) I was going to ask your opinions for real on anal sex after Spread at the Korean restaurant that caused so many giggles and controversy!
3) Where do you get your ink done? Can't find it in the archives, do you change artists with each piece or stick with the same person?
4) Your BEST moments / highlights of the last month at the Roxy? PLEASE?
Have a great Sunday sweetie.
Tons of love.

Goodevening Dave....
Wish I could have been one of the "family" to have seen you at the Roxy.... sounds like they had a great trip.
Have you rescheduled John Walsh for Spread TV? Have you considered having a hypnotherapist on there?
We have missed you!
Always,
me

Hi Dave,
With the Roxy Residency complete, what's up for you next musically beyond your work with Skribble?
Thank you,

How awesome was it playing with Steve Isaacs in New York this past week?

I have to say it was just as much fun to watch!
I can't decide which CF show I liked more than the other-the one at the Roxy or the Webster Hall show because both were so very different. The Roxy was straight up sweaty RnR. Webster Hall had a very distinct NY flava both in the guests and the set list. But opening with the acoustic set was nice. Though the bean bag chairs....? Had to go! Maybe they knew the fashion crowd would be sporting new Manolo's and would need to sit down.
And AC..it was great to see you :-)
ok Q-What would you pick as your most memorable CF MAYhem moments??

Good to have you back Dave,
Well I wasn't able to experience CF's residency at the Roxy firsthand, however I was able to catch some clips on youtube and everything and it's good to hear that you had such a good time! "The best May of your life," aww that made me smile.
Anyways, I have a few questions:
1) What are your thoughts on interracial dating/relationships?
2) With the interest you share or express in topics like astronomy (example, having Beth Biller on Spread), I am wondering what kind of student were you in school, did you make good grades and who were you; the teacher pest, teacher pet, the kid who always got in trouble, class clown, etc. and were you always a "hit" with the ladies while in school?
3) How do you take your stress/anger out on things in a reasonable manner?
(My friend thinks punching walls and himself in the head is cool. I think it'll be funny when he ends up giving himself a concussion or something but hey).
3) You mentioned how you used to really be into comics while hosting Jonesy’s show and I’m wondering who was your favorite superhero and if you could be one of Marvel’s superhero’s, who would you be?
I hope you enjoy what is left of this weekend and that you got the break you were looking for this June because I know your b-day is coming up :)
Much Love and Respect,
-Kirsten

Dave, this band wrote a song about your goatee...

it's the last song on their music player. It's kind of hilarious.

Someone sent me that link to "Dave Navarro's goatee" in an email. After listening to it I repsonded:
"His goatee has probably seen more pussy than the entire bands dicks combined"

Although I only got to attend 2 CF shows (I know...cry me a river right? haha) It was an absolutely amazing couple of shows...thanks for all the great memories! I have put up my pics from the final CF show for those of you who wanna see them:

S10:
~I noticed you and Billy M doing quite a bit of interacting onstage...comments in the ear and then much laughter and smiling ensued. Just wondering what you guys are generally commenting on...people (girls!) in the audience? Artists you're playing with? Bands that you're now "in"? :D
~When you think back on the 5 shows at the Roxy what Three moments really stick out in your mind? I know you probably love playing with almost all the people who were guests, but there must've been a few that made you take a step back and say WOW!
~Any chance of more CF residencies to come?
xoxo

3 comments on here in one day... I'm killin' it.
Well, I just got done watching Spread (I tried to watch it a few days earlier but for some reason it kept on freezing 5min. into it but it's working now) and I have to say, before seeing the "other side" of Pauly that he showed on Spread, I really couldn't take the guy serious and that's just being honest. For some reason I always had this assumption of him being that goofy guy and it's not that I didn't like the guy or anything because I have no reason to because I haven't followed his career and so forth but he was one of those people I would see and be like "meh, who cares, you can't take that guy seriously." Which is ironic because that’s one of my own faults and I joke around a lot and I’m often sarcastic and sometimes people can’t take me seriously and hate it when I’m trying to be serious with someone but they already have this perception of you. Well, you can’t win with everyone…
Anyways, I liked everything he had to say. I didn't agree with him on the whole if Obama really was black, he wouldn't have made it this far in this race for the White House comment (different topic), but everything else, I can see where the man is coming from and I dig his honesty and approach. We have just as much as a point of view as you do… love it, tore that Time magazine lady off!
I really hope he can get into one of those polygamist camps (of many things) and can get the load down on the subject and that he accomplishes whatever he's aiming for with his show. I respect and admire the fact that he does everything independently and he does what he does for the love of it which is one of the reasons why I follow/respect you so much, so I’ll check it out.
Speaking of polygamist/polygamist camps, I watched one of those MSNBC investigates documentary specials on the "Children of God: Cult Killer" recently and it had the same problems. They had kids, both boys and girls, being brainwashed into believing that it's alright and normal to engaging in sexual activities as young as the EARLY age of FOUR and it's normal to be “sleeping” with mom or dad or even sometimes both mom and dad. The stuff that went on at those camps... unbelievable, but the fact that these people claim what they’re doing, sick stuff like having kids engage in sexual activities with other kids “in the name of God” upsets me greatly. I’m 99.99% sure that wasn't his preaching’s, but then you have people who somehow twist stuff around and brainwashed people into actually believing it. “Oh, in the bible, it justifies these actions”...oh really. I’ve been raised from a Christian background and I’ve never read or heard that part in the bible, but again the bible and people have revised and changed it so many times that it’s crazy and someone trying to justify actions like that is outrageous.
In summary, good show! Isn’t it awful that I always have to write such long comments and can’t do short responses like “that was a good one Dave?!” haha :p I need to study for exams… only 4 more days… hell yeah.

It was so great to see you, I had to do it twice! ;) Yes, it was an AMAZING May. If that was any indication of what the rest of the year is going to be like, man oh man. Insane.
And that song? Phhhfff! Very silly, very jealous little boys...

I am sooo happy I was able to fly from Denver to L.A. to join CF @ the Roxy for the final show. Great show dave! I loved all the special guest appearances, especially Naveen Andrews -- how random! I'm watching the finale of LOST right now on DVR.
anyhoo... Here are a few of my best shots from the night. http://picasaweb.google.com/lcmay88/CampFreddy52908
Thanks again for a memorable evening.

Oh, forget to mention... while I was in L.A., I stopped by Subliminal Projects Gallery (the gallery created by Shepard Fairey). I discovered Shepard's work via your interview w/ him on Spread TV. I was talking w/ the dude working at the gallery and mentioned I was turned onto Shepard because of your interview. He was pretty stoked that the interview is generating a new audiance, because apparently Shepard is very selective about the interviews he gives. I picked up a limited edition print of Shepards too. Another kudos to you for your choice of guests!

Hi Dave,
It was an amazing month... Here are pictures from most shows minus show #3. I still have a ton I haven't been able to process yet. I wish I was a little more bold...the set would have been amazing! http://www.flickr.com/photos/wendybird/sets/72157604997109533/

I too am curious as to your birthday plans? Anything you would like to share, or will it be spontaneous?
On another note, I've been keeping an eye out on iTunes for the last CFR and J-Jukebox with you but they are not up yet. Are you able to wave a wand and make them appear?
Good to see you back....take care everyone.......SB

Welcome back sir…Glad to hear you had exciting May…It was exciting for us to see the footage and pictures that everyone shared…. THANKS EVERYONE!
A little frustrated today with the MANIA site…couldn’t see the show today from work…Margaret was able to catch it this morning at home, that fuker…(It’s just not fair…lol) the screen kept reading buffering then it would read something like; the film can not be found or some crap like that. L
Yes please enlighten us with your birthday plan and I know you’ve been extremely busy but…. how’s that solo album coming along? Were waiting Navarro!!!!
Oh one more thing. Have you seen the movie Catacombs with Shannyn Sossamon and Pink? It’s a totally twisted and fucked up movie…
Have a great evening God Bless……………xoxox

Dave,
I guess it's the inevitable series of JA-related questions. I won't ask them all, but we've not even had word from you about the gathering in April. Nothing prompts speculation like silence....
Also, Eric's recent words have certainly caused much excitement. I think we all understand that you're probably not in a position to say much (if there is anything to be said at all), but do you have any thoughts to share? You teased a few weeks ago with the prospect of news to share, but all's been quiet. Even a "be patient" would go a long way.
Be well.
