Miami & This Week
Miami was a blast! Skribble and I played at the Bacardi B-Live Event with DJ Slynkee, ?uestlove and J Mello. The show has been streaming over and over here on MySpace, but you gotta kind of keep checking cause they haven't put up times. It's the whole festival on repeat. Usually, DJ culture is to be experienced and not watched on a little screen, but they did a really great job with the coverage of this show and you can get a sense of what the evening was like.
This week is kind of insane! Rehearsal, NME Awards, which will be streaming live on MySpace, and then off to NYC. Then when I get back, a week later we go into a month of Camp Freddy shows at The Roxy!

Hola Papi!
They rebroadcast the show right after the original performance. I do have to say other than you and Skribble, my favorite was Groove Armanda, that was pretty cool! Being a techo fan, I liked it. My bro in law spins at his own events:)
Looks like you had PLENTI of fun!
Just want to say congrats on your Jane's Addiction award and reunion! You must be very excited! I was not around for your JA days. I am so happy for all the fans here as well that loved the band!

Dave, please get Jane's to play one of the upcoming Camp Freddy Roxy shows. I tried to score tickets to the NME event, but it couldn't be done. However, I do have tickets to every CF show. Hook a fan since forever up. Really, whatever happens, thanks so much for doing it tonight - you guys looked and sounded fucking amazing up there.

Man you guys killed it! I had goosebumps and a smile the whole time... such a trip seeing the four of you on stage together. Amazing. I am pissed that I (and all the other jane's fans) had to watch that garbage before you guys.. just to get cut off after 2 songs though... and that they had your guitar mixed way too low.. but it's all good. Thanks again to you and the other three for doing that! Hope you guys had a blast.
P.S. has Eric been workin out with Reznor or what?! what a beast..

Fucking amazing. Great performance...damn the anticipation was killing me...they really made us wait for it. Seeing you all play together really is experiencing musical greatness...I don't even know how many times I got chills! Your solo on Mt Song was off the chain! You all looked and sounded awesome. Im hoping there will be more to come from several, if not all of you...but whatever the case may be, I'm very grateful for what we got to share with you all tonight!
Love, Amber :)

I checked in on a hunch in case you were on later than 5am my time, I missed you guys by 10 minutes, bastard, bastard, bastard and a stream of other frustrated swear words. Does anyone know if it will be repeated anywhere?
Very frustrated in Scotland......................SB

If this is the way janes goes out, from a shitty NME awards show...that cuts off Janes Addiciton, I guess thats the way it goes. Eric should have held out for somthing more special.
It was great to get two songs streamed live, but honeslty...Janes fans got the shaft.
RIP Janes Addiction

not to dwell on the fact dave, but the band that played before janes got more time?
Please, let janes play one last show...ONE last show, in front of the fans. NME payed you guys no respect.

yo, there's always gonna be a bunch of fucking ass kissers no matter where ya look son, FUCK THAT SHIT. jane's was something special, not some circus muthafuckin seal tootin' it's horns.
you know you're reading so listen up,
someone get perry some old tapes of some janes shows. this is COMMON SENSE. any fucking band would do it. pay some motherfucking attention. his voice has obviously changed, completely understandable... that's where he's gotta adjust..
you gotta get him to drop this "new" perry bullshit. it's a bunch of phony ass bullshit. it ain't winnin' over any real fans. if you want the TRUTH, you gotta be real, fuck that phony ass shit. be REAL. he's gotta let loose. he's still very much reserved. alcohol ain't gonna tame the fear he's got inside. courtney love said it best way back when... as a performer the past 10 years perry has let us down. it's up to you to get him to be real and drop the feal. fuck the auto-tuner and the self conscientiousness. he's PERRY MOTHER FUCKING FARRELL. jesus christ, does he not realize who he is. it was great to see eric obviously but the sound of the band was not great. the solos were great, the drums great, the bass yea whatever great..... you're lacking vocals, son.
perry....he's fuckin' shit up son. you and perk f'n shredding and you got this fucking perry shadow of his former self just trying to get along. youze guys heads are in the f'n clouds... money fame, etc a bunch of fucking bullshit. that shits a mirage, son. fuck that shit. you gots to gets to what's real, the music, son. which means perry has gots ta gets hisself in muthafuckin tune!!!! i nearly shit a brick when i heard the vocals on stop. jesus muthafuckin holy ghost and shit.

Tape measure=living in 1997
Me= realizes Perry is 49 years old.
So go watch your Three Days DVD 800 times so you can feel 10 years younger and I'll continue living in the present and appreciate what I saw last night.
