SUPERCHRIST
As for the Top Ten List, I am working on it!
1. Appear as a plaintiff on The People's Court
Here is the Smashing Pumpkins' clip for Superchrist. It features Spread Group client and star of Broken, Sasha Grey. When I first watched this, I thought it was the craziest thing... I was like, "Huh? Have these guys totally lost their minds?" After a day or so, all the imagery from this kept creeping back into my psyche and I was compelled to go back and watch it again. Then I found myself watching it again and again. I have come to realize that this is probably one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! Especially in this day... It's LONG, dark, sexy, bizarre, unique and atypical, the antithesis of watered down and polished crap. It's kind of like a look into Corgan's mind without really even seeing much of him. The video is totally inspiring... I fuckin' love it:

That 3/1 hair metal SFR show was awesome, loved the VH fight. I personally could see both sides of the argument, but I tend to agree with Billy, VH isn't hair metal. Yet I totally agree with you Dave, VH is the REASON hair metal exsists. But does that make VH hair metal or the INSPIRATION for it? Think about it.
And as for hair metal, where is the love for Warrant, Cinderella and Slaughter?
Anyway, is there ANYWHERE to download the full show w/ songs? That would really float my boat. Users, anyone who can email it to me?

"Appear as a plaintiff on the People's court." Why? Let me guess, Judge Milian? I hope you win that case haha :p. Anyways, I know you claim to be a movie buff, so I've got a film for you. Don't know if you've seen it or not but "American Pastime" (2007) is a good film. Its setting takes place in a Japanese American interment after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Japanese are forced to leave their homes to go to these camps and it follows the lives of this Japanese/American families. So, if you're interested in it, maybe you can netflix it.
Would of said something about it in the last blog but I think it has already been closed (or I couldn't reply) but I agree with Karen. It'd be cool to see you collaborate with Lenny. I thought it was funny that she mentioned that because I've been listening to Lenny this past week and I thought the same thing. That'd be cool as hell!!
Hope you have a good weekend. :)
Much Love,
-Kirsten

Yeah Dave! She is a hot judge, isn't she?
Are you watching any Reality TV? Wondered which and what you thought of the "contestants"....
I propose a true Survivor series - drop 16 people each on their own island - no other people - leave them there and check back in 39 days. Whoever is still alive gets a million dollars....
What shows are you looking to seeing now that the writer's strike is over?
Always,
me

Fuck, had to watch that twice back to back, wicked, thanks Dave!! Pumpkins as fantastic as ever, damn - I used to love Billy C. Familiar sounds in that - Siamese Dream in the early part and Mellon Collie, nice violins, just makes me want an outfit like Sasha's especially the wings! She looks amazing. (She was subjected to crap on her myspace blog this week - haters.)
And yep, does watch like a trip into someone's musical headspace. (Cirrus Minor.)
Hahaa 2 - 10 should be fun.
Good luck with the poker, (hmmm does this mean people will be losing their clothes in the coming months.. Practise nights at yours!)
How is the new music project coming along?
Hope all is well, have a great weekend sweetie!

Why a plaintiff? interesting clip!!
Wow I do love these dinky white laptops.
On the subject of films we saw one about someone in a prisoner of war camp in Japan and his escape, very inspiring, disturbing strangely beautiful bombing opening sequence. Can't remember what it is called but it came out just recently.

The imagery is a little "ooohkaaay" but the song is awesome and I like how they used what seems to be one or two cameras with little editing between shots.
You could soooo be a plaintiff on "People's Court".
“Our plaintiff in this case, Dave Navarro is seeking damages against Tom from myspace for not disabling the use of sparkle tags...”
Yes it seems extreme but 1: you could fufill that dream of making it on The People's Court and 2: finally rid the world of sparkle tags.
It's a win win!

lol cool. The plaintiff thing sounds cool. I want to know if you've heard of a band called Hundredfold? they're Canadian (same as mee!) and they rock.

Hello,Dave--catching up.
Re: Rose. You should think about having a
picture done with this precious soul! I'll
bet that it would be a beautiful moment for
you both..and well, karma, yes? It doesn't need
to be a big public thing--just a point in time
that means something very special to her family
and you. We're all connected, dear heart.
Have fun with the poker game--last time I tried,
my earrings went in as collateral!

Hey Dave, you have, several times in the past, talked about Corgan and how brilliant you think he is. Have you ever worked with Corgan in the studio? Or would you like to?

Hola-
I am liking the theme CFR shows. It really brings back some memories and I am sure for others with this music. I liked Blue by Eifel 65 as my favorite of the ones you played.
As for C and C- that stands for Robert Clivilles and David Cole, the founders. Too bad I couldn't call in. oh well......
Gotta say< I miss the SRL trivia days. Hope you get Minka on the show!!
Happy Sunday:) Besos, Db

I suspect the imagery has bounced right off my psyche.....but it is refreshing to watch something unpolished. I know nothing about the Smashing Pumpkins, don't think I've ever consciously listened to one of their tracks, but this was good...video and song went well together.
Shame you can't take a case into the people's court against Capitol!.....get them to apologise for being such a bunch of assholes about The Panic Channel, etc...
Take care everyone............................SB
