Spread Radio & TV & Sanaz - UPDATED
Good morning! For those of you who tried to watch the Metal Sanaz interview last night, we apologize for the technical issues. The rebroadcast is tonight at 6:00pm PST!!!
Don't forget, today at 5:00pm PST on SPREAD TV we have Moby and author Charles Bock!
In other upcoming news, tomorrow I am going back to Las Vegas to perform with DJ Skribble at LAX in the Luxor Hotel. Also in the house tomorrow... Sweet Suzie McNeil! I think the event is a private fashion show of sorts but we will be hanging out at LAX all night so drop by if you can.
I'm live on Spread Radio Live now: 10:30a.m. PST

Hi Dave!
I hope that when I get to Vegas, you have a gig going on there.... Better yet, if I win the Powerball, how much do I hire you to perform at my great escape party?
Seriously - love Moby and my niece and he were in a movie together - not the same scenes - they had Illeana Douglas to thank for that!
Any word when John Walsh will be on? Any thought of having a hypno-therapist on there? And what of holding a fundraiser or two.....
Always,
me

And SRL is the sweetest thing to happen today! DN, I already apologised for sending a wailing email last night, but I am sorry! It was just so frustrating watching that cosy interview - and then just when it was going to get very interesting - gone! But it will fix!!
Lastly, when your top 40 on myspace goes AWOL you probably hit the randomize button! xoxoxox

"Dave, he's always on it." I was really upset when the Sanaz interview went out on me, but hey you guys are on it so I'll be able to watch it again, thanxs :). For a minute there, I thought it was my connection.
Will be tuning in for Spread but I'll have to catch it on-demand because I have practice today. Listening to Spread Radio Live right now, The Knack-"My Sharona" haha. Nice!

I was doing well the the feed after a while...it was going good...your loft looks amazing. I love that gothic chandelier but that WHITE bedding!! Damn! Too too white.
Anyway just as you were ready to dish it....
Nothing.
It was like sex without cumming.
Anyway I guess we're all experiencing the "pioneer" stages of internet TV. Someday in the near future it'll all be up to speed!

I thought it was my connection, glad to hear that it will be up later, you were just getting to the good stuff!
Have fun in Vegas. Do I even need to say that??

Typical, the one time I could've listened to SRL actually live, I didn't bloody know it was on. I totally give up on ever catching that show live.
Glad I'm not going to miss out on the Sanaz interview and I'm looking forward to the Moby stuff.
Is it safe to assume there will be no Dave CFR this Saturday? Last weeks was very funny.
Take care everyone.............................SB

Caught the Sanaz broadcast and I'm watching Spread right now! Don't fuck with my peeps haha! I'm going to start saying that shit with the actual peeps. I'm going to actually go out and buy some and then carry them around and be like don’t fuck with my peeps! Sanaz interview was interesting/great. Words of wisdom from Dave... go play your heart out! You always have something good to say. I'll spread the word about buying the whole album off of iTunes when it comes to indie bands as well. Because I know my brother and I both get upset when I see someone's iTunes library with all these artists, but they only have ONE song. Like I said earlier in another post, I still buy the CD's. Whether it's ordering them off the web or going out the local record store, but I support it!
Good interview!!
Much Love,
-Kirsten, Off to watch Spread...
PS, I watched "The King Of Kong" on the web last night... great movie! Billy... what an asshole! I hope Steve can regain his title this summer, because if you didn't know, Billy got the title again recently. "Daddy, come wipe my butt... stop playing Donkey KOOOOOOOOOOOONG!" Haha

Just enjoying reading as always, I am curious as to why that pic reminded Nedo in wonderland of their vacation was Dave between your legs on it? Well I haven't watched the show yet but will this weekend.

Wow...I just watched the interview w/ Sanaz. I can't believe all that shit about Capitol! I knew they were jacking you guys around, cause it was mentioned a few times in passing from you all, but holding the album release over your head over RS?! That's fucked up...coupled with all the shit people have said about what a "sell out" you were by choosing the tv show over touring/band time...how frustrating. Im kinda surprised you didn't say something before, it must've felt good to finally put it all out there. Thanks for all the insight; as always, your candour was fascinating. ~Amber

I just watched that metal sanaz interview I really enjoyed it, Metal Sanaz I have to say is very sweet and gorgeous, she has a lovely gentle speaking voice, you look very fit and full of beans, plus love the pink lights on the chandalier. You were both pretty sweet really!

Referring to Spread; Shaq and Kobe…I would have loved to hear your sports commentary because that's my field :p. I really haven’t chosen a path when it comes to sports or music because I do it both, so I guess I’m right in the middle. However, it always seems like Athletes want to be rock stars or something bigger. Shaq's hip-hop album says it all... stick to sports. He's out of his prime now anyways, the Suns lost that trade. Miami got a younger "ballin" player and the Suns got Shaq's "leftovers." Just like when Jordan went to the Wizards. Jordan is/was the greatest player to play the game, but after the Bulls and retiring 2 times, he was done. It was kind of heartbreaking seeing him try to lead a team full of inexperienced players and he couldn't play like he used to and he was struggling. It happens though, but not in music. You can't forget how to play the guitar right?
Beautiful Children sounds very interesting.... I might have to order it. I usually only read autobiographies or books I'm assigned in school, but maybe I'll read Beautiful Children for myself.

Great interview with Sanez Dave…If you didn’t know she loved Heavy Metal…she would come across as timid and meek. (cute) :)
You know…all that bullshit with Capitol Records…All I can say is “NO WONDER!”. Thank you for sharing the facts with us…I bet the assholes that criticized you for being a “sell out” during that time must feel like a big ass now, and you know what? It serves those fuckers right! Fuck’em.
Your bedroom is serene but dark at the same time…Very cool. Love the lighting around the bed…and the chandelier…loved the red bulbs. And that wall…WOW is that wallpaper or did someone actually paint it…wallpaper right? When the camera did its panoramic around the place, it looks as if it was a wide-open space. Is there a drape or curtain that you’d pull closed to separate your bedroom…yes, right?
Thanks for SRL yesterday! Have a safe return from Vegas and Thank you for sharing your bedroom with us...lol. God Bless you sir.
Peace & Love

Like many, I've just watched the Sanaz interview - interesting and enjoyable. You got royally screwed by Capitol, management, etc. I don't know how you've not gone on about the details before, I'd be ffing furious, upset, frustrated..... I've been screwed by my employers, not to such an extent as yourself, but I'm messed up by it and carry a burning resentment around with me. I know I should get over it, but I can't at present, probably because I can't move on so easily. Perhaps your other outlets have helped you..........
Good to hear you're doing another film, hopefully this one will be as, if not more, successful....all the AVNs next time?! I'm very curious to watch Broken, but porn makes me extremely uncomfortable...just don't enjoy it. Also I like something to be left to the imagination...
Great bed, I wish I had a room big enough to have a huge bed in it...mmm wishful thinking....I also wish some of your super-neatness would rub off my husband.....Jeez it would make my life less like a maids..and the house would be tidy....mmmm some more wishful thinking.
One last thing about the interview...thought it was dead funny that you couldn't be away from your phone for longer than 5 minutes, when they start surgically attaching phones I reckon you'll be first in the queue!
Have a great weekend everyone..................SB

Tried to watch the Metal Sanaz thing, obviously couldnt do it, now it will have to be squeezed in between SE/NT/CFR. Plus, Im going to see a local band on Saturday night. Makes for a very packed weekend. Im sure it will all be worth it. oh yeah, I also rented Invisible, Gone Baby Gone & The Brave One. I think I need a rainy week! Keep doin' whatcha doin! Niki

Check out my "O invasion" piece on my site. I'm probably the world's worst guitarist but the art just sounds like an invasion to me.
Yours Truly.

argh!! help!
i just tried to watch the Sanaz interview again, this time on demand and it was even worse the second time when it STOPPED at exactly the same place 30 mins in when Dave was just about to continue after the immortal words: "Capitol Records RockStar and Janes".
This can't be happening!!! but it is!! i got a synclive account, have no issues with watching Spread TV whatsoever and am so miserable! (and fairly hysterical.)
um, if anyone wants to tell me what i'm doing wrong i'd be very grateful. thank you.

Dave so sorry to hear you were treated that way by Capitol - what complete assholes to hold TPC to ransom with Rockstar, especially shit after what happened with Management re Janes. And then how horrible that so many fans instead of celebrating your diversity as an artist are incapable of being supportive and just fucking bitched at you!
Thanks for telling it straight and for explaining. Even more glad that you're doing your own thing and don't 'need' those b*stards.
Have a good weekend.
Lots of love.
