Then, of course, Thursday is an all new SPREAD with Moby and author Charles Bock.

March 14th at LA's Knitting Factory, Camp Freddy will be performing at the "Give Me Shelter" benefit for teens. Tickets are available for $35 at The Knitting Factory: 7021 Hollywood Blvd, LA CA - 323 463 0204

Gonna miss everything but Spread...........shit happens when you live in a another time zone and country.

Speaking of shit happening.....finally managed to see the film Cloverfield - it's been a while since I had the crap scared out of me at the cinema - one of those films where you know the monster is going to leap out but you still jump when it does, only annoyance was the jerky camera , OK to begin with but annoying after an hour. I spent the rest of the evening with the feeling that something with lots of teeth and legs was going to leap out at me from behind the kettle, TV, toilet, etc.

Looking forward to CFR, take care everyone.......SB

hi dave, can you write a little about the gimme shelter program? i googled it but can't tell if its the school program to help kids with their skills or if it has to do with homeless kids. i notice you often do benefits for teens and i just love that about you. because you are a guy teens would care about and listen to, as someone who has definitly been there.
happy sunday!

it's kinda insightful y'know that an unbelievably hot villainous female turns you on...la femme fatale is not to be avoided but embraced... i like you more everyday:)i've always thought it extremely ironic and humorous how most of the films being made portray the psychotic deranged dangerous female who is emotionally cold and aloof yet intellectually capable of organising and calculating horrendous crimes...i personally think it's written by men who don't get enough oral sex:) or who were never breastfed...or who were abandoned as teens so for god's sake get em shelter...moby should be interesting he usually has a bit to say for a passive vegan...x love ya!!

I'll definitely be checking out the interview with Metal Sanaz and of course my favorite internet show, Spread. I'm wondering if you can elaborate more on the "Give Me Shelter" event to, (not the Rolling Stones song :p)? I also love the fact that you often do benefits for children and teens. Season, we will listen to Dave because I listen to him haha. Someone said that this site is only for ages 18+, shhh... (What are you "protecting" us from anyways)? I'm a cool responsible kiddo though or I'd like to think so as everyone else does. Anyways, Dave has a positive influence on me, not a negative influence. I've realized that he has been there, done that and have lived through some tough shit but he has always managed to come out on the bright side of life. That’s what it is! You’ve lived to tell the story. I try to respect most of my elders, but I definitely respect you. Anyways, the next time I have to write a book report based on an autobiography for school, if it’s assigned, I'll do DTTAH. I'll have to apply makeup to it because some teachers don’t approve of that kind of behavior. One time I was reading Scar Tissue in class and ironically, the teacher asked to look at the book when I was at an "inappropriate" place and she was somewhat upset and disapproved of my age group reading it. I realize that those 2 books are definitely not for children, but if you’re mature enough to read it and see the message in it, there should be an exception. Not all my teachers are like that though, some keep it real even when it sucks...

Much love,
-Kirsten

I too miss Dave Navarro's neighborhood and the man on the street clips on Spread. Anyways, I just got done listening to CFR; I love that Dr. Phil loop haha. "What are you thinking?! I want you to start living as a gay woman. Are you avoiding reality?!" Classic!! I guess I can say my mom is having the same problem as that caller when it comes to being a single mom and trying to find a man. I don't want to seem selfish, because I want my mom to be happy and find someone, but at the same time I'm so used to not having a man figure in the house (besides my twin bro) that when someone does come in the picture, it's VERY strange. It doesn't help the fact that my mom's most recent ex was stealing money from her to cop drugs and was straight up insane in the membrane and ended up in a ward. Hey!!!

Oh I miss LA. I'd love to go to the show... The last time I was there I visited a friend who lived across the street from the previous house of Tom Cruise and whichever mate he was with at the time. She said they screamed at each other all the time, and ran around the yard late at night, throwing shit out the windows and so on. It was like some sort of continuous circus act. I'm not making it up, that's what their across-the-street neighbor had to say about them... :)

anyway, I put up a humorous OFFICIAL RULES section and a bit "about me" and decided to offer free CD's. What the hey. It's cheap plastic.

I remember when you had blue hair in Bogart's in "the nasty" - Cincinnati. That was like 1988. maybe 1987.

Anyway, today I decided to present EXPLICIOUS! in NONOVISION (where available). I put up a song titled "Sahana" named after my muse, the most gorgeous black female on Earth, and posted a story about where I think the music is going... "Club High". (please see the Waitman page). Then I wrote Def Jam a serious letter to see if anyone there could figure out how to generate revenue to cover the cost of the girls phoning in. It's all been out of pocket so far, it would be nice if some other guys chipped in.

Have a wonderful day!
