NYC

Well, I'm going East Coast tonight for a gig in Hartford with Skribble at LIFE on Saturday night. Come by if you are in the area... Thankfully I have Sunday off and then Monday is a huge day. First thing in the a.m. I will be joining the Stern show for a bit and then I am off to a mess of meetings all over the city. I don't know why, but meeting after meeting is much more doable in NYC than it is in LA. Maybe cause I am not driving? Who knows. Maybe it's just the NYC energy. Whatever it is... I love it. Items to discuss on Stern? The whole Stormy issue should be fun as well as the Greg (We couldn't get Jon Stewart) Fitzsimmons issue. I didn't mean to offend the guy, I was just waiting for him to say something funny! Honestly, we were at a porn event... I'm surrounded by sex and the guy wanted me to pay attention to HIM? I guess comedians really are the most insecure and darkest people in entertainment. All I know is that if I were on the stage at AVN, I wouldn't be worried so much about the bearded guy down in front, but to each his own I suppose. In any case, they talk a lot of shit on that show but when you get there it's usually pretty manageable and fun. I hear that even Artie (we couldn't get Howard) Lange chimed in with some comments, which is odd because the only time I even saw him was when he came into the green room in search of a deli tray. Speaking of awards shows... Last night was the X-Biz Awards show where my film, Broken, was nominated for feature of the year. We lost. I should have known when I was asked to present the award for "feature of the year". Not a good sign when you are giving away the award you are nominated for. The whole night was fun either way, however, I was probably the only guy in the room who was thinking, "Damn... I am missing LOST."

Next week on Spread we have another fashion show from the girls of Frederick's of Hollywood just in time for Valentine's Day as well as musical guest, Yellowcard. Just to make things easier, I am going to post the direct links to the latest shows from now on as I do with the Camp Freddy Radio links. Sadly, as a result of my travels, I will not be appearing on Camp Freddy this Saturday so Billy will be taking over. Next week, I am covering for him so it all evens out in the wash.

Wow Dave, you are so busy and it seems like it all comes at once. Hope you find time to breath between your obligations.
NY seems like it will be a hoot though, I envy you! I definitely have to go there in the near future.

Too bad that you lost, but at least I certainly who should have won. Mfah! I love your comment about LOST! If I'd been there, I would probably been thinking in the same way.. maybe not LOST but I totally get it.

Valentine's Day show's going to rad, loved the last episode when the Fredrick's girl were there. Counting on an even better show and I'm pretty sure I will get it when it comes to Spread!

Hmm.. wonder if there will be a Swedish first post in this entry..

Dude, this blog had me CRYING! This one is classic! "Greg (We couldn't get Jon Stewart) Fitzsimmons" BEST LINE EVER!!!
NYC energy?? You know it baby! Well going from meetings to meetings to meetings is doable because WE WALK PLACES! Or things are within a short walk. And in NYC a "celeb" can get around easily without being bothered.

I wish I could make it to Hartford tomorrow but I can't :-( So you and Skribble have a GREAT show!

Wicked funny post DN. Love it when you're on a roll. Have a great time buzzing through NYC, enjoy the gig and hope Monday goes well. So sorry you lost the award. As for wanting to be at home watching Lost - totally get that LOL! So crap when that happens though! Managed 32 seconds of Todd's big brown eyed edit. Blech! Still laughing from yesterday's Spread. Thanks for putting a smile on my face all day.
