Spread: Sasha Grey & Horrorpops
(Image: The Horrorpops) The other night I was in the studio working on some tracks for the Navarro/DJ Skribble live show. It felt like I needed some different human elements in the stuff Skribble puts out of his system, so I hired my friends Rick and Brahm from Echoes de Luxe. They have a few demos up online and are currently looking for a drummer to join their lineup so they can complete the ep's they are working on. If you are a drummer or know of one, hit them up at their MySpace page.
Thursday on Spread we have Sasha Grey and music from The Horrorpops.

Is there an age limit on the drummer? I know a couple who are fantastic - but just in high school....
So Dave - more travel plans coming soon? Can we expect to see you on the East Coast any time in the near future?
Always,
me

How ironic! The EC gig with Scribble in Feb...the club is located on "Asylum St."
Cute!

ok, I'll ask a more serious question.
I know you are a fan of T.S. Eliot's poem, The Love song of Alfred Prufrock...(sp?) Have you ever considered putting part of that poem, the one that inspired "Spread", to music, kind of like a spoken word, Skribble, guitar mash-up of sorts. I'd love to hear your interpretation of it...
love,

Something you might find interesting.
Or not.
There's a group of people that call themselves "urban explorers" that sneek inside 3 huge abandoned former psychiatric hospitals here on the Island and take pictures of what's left of the ruins.
I found it creepy, haunting, sad and facinating all at the same time.
