Back in LA

Well, it looks like we did all right! I just got back from the 25th AVN Awards in Vegas where my movie, Broken, won for Best High End All-Sex Release! Also, Sasha Grey, a client of The Spread Group, took home the Performer of the Year Award. The whole weekend was a lot of fun as parties and events were scattered all over the city. The Awards Show will be aired for the first time on Showtime this March where you can also catch the pre-show carpet arrivals hosted by Kirsten Price and I. We interviewed Jenna & Tito, Tera Patrick, Stormy Daniels, The Club Jenna girls, Ninn Worx girls, Vivid and Wicked girls to name a few. More people will see this show than have seen the past 24 shows combined. Prior to the awards I spent some time at the convention where Tera and I signed for a while at the TeraVision booth. Todd was on hand for our own coverage that is will appear on the upcoming Spread show on ManiaTV.

This week is another crazy one with a whole convention of a different nature. Next weekend is the NAMM convention where I will be spending some time on Saturday at the PRS booth and the Digidesign booth. I also have a couple recording sessions with Skribble and a new episode of Spread on Thursday. We are almost ready to have our studio open to the public! Once I have this week's guests lined up I will of course check in and let you know.

Do you anticpate directing more? What about acting?

Have you given any more thought to doing a telethon? I know you have some causes that are near and dear to you and doing a fundraiser would be nice.

Wow, Dave, I didn't realize that Perkins has the archives, I'm really looking forward to the possibility of a box set and Gift/Soul Kiss on DVD.

Not bad for a first time! Shame you didn't win Best Director, but now you have something to aspire to - if you'd won, could've been downhill from here.... Gonna miss the stuff on Showtime which is a bummer.

Congratulations Dave…I’m so happy for you. Were you cool and collected as always when they announced you as a winner? It’s really nice to know that the AVN awards will be televised on Showtime and to think we have to wait until March to find out just how cool and collected you looked. Oh wait… I bet Todd has that clip, ooooh can’t wait:) By the way...saw the pics on the AVN web page and your hair looked great!

Wow...you are one busy bee this year…Have you had time for yourself and a loved one??? (wink) Make time sir you only live once.

Not sure if you know this but…Last Thursday’s show had a lot of communication problems…It cut off several times, then during the show it shot over to that...something in a minute show (sorry can’t think of the name), then it aired an earlier show for about 2 min then it started over from where it ended before a commercial…Just so that you know and please no disrespect to ManiaTV…but come’ on.

Danni, I'm really torn. I didn't think the Chargers would make it to play New England. I've been rooting for NE all along. Chargers are a good team, but I don't really like Rivers, and I love Brady!

Dave I just watched your Guitar Instructional video from back in the day which I haven't watched in years and I noticed something that I have never noticed before. There is a Mesa half stack behind the guy that is attempting to interview you. So my question is, was it a backup, was it even yours, or just for certain songs? Thanks for your time!
