Debbie Harry To Reschedule :(
Sad news. Debbie Harry is down with a cold and is unable to come in to the studio tomorrow. She has promised to reschedule. I always thought that a reschedule was really a pass but Elvira actually rescheduled and made up her appearance. So, it looks good... I'll keep you informed.
1) Did you find that making / being involved in an adult ent flick altered how you saw or felt about sex itself?
Well, before I made the film, I really enjoyed sex. Now that it's behind me, I still enjoy sex.
2) What do you think about Dr. Drew's new reality show CELEBRITY REHAB that's set to air on VH1 this January? Dr. D says he's trying to show people that the disease of addiction is serious and ugly, etc. Your thoughts?
Well, I don't think that there is anyone who isn't aware that the disease of addiction is serious and ugly. I was asked to participate in the show but I passed because I believe that people may tend to agree to be on TV while under the influence. After they clean up... They could be like, "I agreed to do what?" It's a double edged sword because as much as I find the whole concept in bad taste, I can't wait to watch every one! I guess I don't mind watching the poor decisions of others, provided I didn't help them make those poor decisions.
3) Just saw Broken. Any chance you might reprise your directorial role?
Absolutely. At first, I thought this would be a one time thing, but the truth is that it was a fun experience and I had nothing but support from TeraVison and their entire team. Kind of like the opposite of what the music industry is today!

OH POO!! I hope she is feeling better soon! I rescheduled my schedule to make sure I was home to catch it!
"Well, I don't think that there is anyone who isn't aware that the disease of addiction is serious and ugly."
Apparently not. With the recent news of Scott getting busted on a DUI there have been some pretty incredible shit being said about him. Many people still don't believe it's a disease. I guess some people need to walk a mile in a person's shoes....

I have a question for you:
What kind of music are you listening to these days? Anything you find particularily inspiring?
I've not totally given up on pop. It's the same as it always was, some really good stuff, but mostly bad. I'm curious as to why you think the music industry was so much different 15 years ago? What's changed that's made it so deviant? I would think that now musicians have more freedom than they ever had before.

Debbie has a cold huh? I remember you had the sniffles last week, is this a mere coincidence? HaHa

**sniffle** No Debbie Harry :( I hope she reschedules soon.
I agree that the whole Celebrity Rehab concept is in bad taste. I remember watching Jani Lane on Celebrity Fit Club and just feeling horrible that he was "bottoming out" before our eyes. I do honestly hope though, that the stars on the show got some help. I was also really, really sad to hear about Scott getting busted again. My youngest in named after him (Weiland as a first name) and I have always felt an odd sort of "connection" to him.
I'm out for a few days...moving to a new apartment. Take Care everyone...
Love Ya Dave...
Me XOXO

Sorry Debbie isn't feeling well.
Really sorry to hear about Scott too.
Hahahaha - thank you very much for that answer to 1. (I asked cos I wondered if it had depersonalised anything.) You so deserve best director.
Have a good week.
Much love

the last thing this world needs is another celeb reality show. hopefully, this one can help other people suffering from addiction. it's hard to imagine it would if folks are in denial about themselves when they watch it. i'm imagining it will be a glossier version of Intervention.
it would be awesome to catch a taping of the show while in LA over the holidays. How does one become part of the live studio audience?

Goodmorning Dave!
That is sad about Debbie - I hope she does reschedule!
Last night, your name came up in a conversation I was having with another mother at our kids rehearsal - we were talking about concerts and I was saying how I was lucky enough to see TPC at Mr. Small's. She said she really liked watching you on TV on both season's of Rockstar. She asked if the show would come back..... and it made me wonder, if you were asked (and you may have been) to do another mainstream TV show, would you? What kind would you like to do?
Always,
me

Wow...I'm SOO glad you turned down the whole CELEB REHAB deal. That's crazy that you were asked to do it because I've often wondered while watching shows like ROCK OF LOVE and FLAVA OF LOVE if the reality thing would be something you would ever participate in and I decided that especially in the context of finding love, you are too much of a class act to put yourself out there like that. Anyway, why would you ever need to? As far as the REHAB ...I agree with you that it is in poor taste but then I will be right there with you watching the proverbial "train wreck". I think that these people may not care about finding love or getting straight so much as getting more exposure.
Much love from Tejas....MOIA!

Hey, Dave
are you really bipolar as you said to Daniel Johnston on the show?
If you are I´m glad to know that because I myself am bipolar... you happen to be one of my favorite artists and knowing that such a cool person like you has experienced the same kind of torment I have is inspiring.
Do you think you could share your experience about this condition with us some in future shows or posts on this site? it would be enlightening for sure and I bet it would help a lot of people!
thank you very much!
positive vibes of love and awesomeness,
L.

Celeb Rehab? Incredible bad taste as far as I am concerned, less to do with education and aid to those people addicted and more to do with drawing in viewers, revenue and acting as a modern day freak show. "Oooh look at how bad these people look, behave and feel, glad I'm not that stupid, they only have themselves to blame, blah, blah, blah" Before I started typing this I didn't realise how repugnant I find the idea! My problem is I don't believe the programme is intended to help only to increase viewing firgures. No idea if it's on in the UK and if it is, I probably won't watch it anyway, too busy watching SEs! Now I will get off my moral high horse standing on a soap box.
Nearly the weekend.............................SB
PS KansasNicole hope the move went well, hard work but it's kinda exciting being in a new place.

Sarah...moving is going..well...interesting. I'm about two-=thirds done, but I think I am going to stay in my old apt. tonight and finish up in the am. It's FREEZING here and my back is killing me.
BTW..I agree with you about the "modern day freak show" concept.
Have a good weekend all...
Me.

Just got in from the Manson gig. His voice was incredible, awesome sound, great set M.M totally rocked. Also, that man is sexy and I have no idea how or why cos til tonight I truly couldn't see it lol.. Was 10 from the front and dancing!
BUT - even at a venue where drinks were sold in paper cups some utter asshole threw a bottle and it HIT the bass player!
This resulted in a 10 minute break whilst first aid attended to the poor guy.
Wicked bassist too. The band did come back on and kicked ass but honestly how shit is that.
Hope you haven't ever been hit whilst on stage?

Damn, I have high speed internet, and the video kept freezing. My favorite part was when your voice sounded like Regan in The Exorcist!
Love Gina Gershon, Bound is one of my all time favorite movies. I found her extremely sexy, and I'm not gay!

hey dave. it was so much fun being home last night watching spead, and sending im's. thanks for telling shiloh what i said. this is just a silly suggestion: but how about taking phone calls? like CFR. although a constant IM stream of sex and love advice would be awesome. i need you guys BEFORE the weekend! anyway- love the show, you look great, and its nice not seeing you smoke so much. and i only say that because i've just recently quit and quietly becoming "reformed" how boring, but it does feel healthier.
