Let's Get Provocative Here...

1. What's top of your to-do list?

Well, since I just moved I have so much on that list. Electricians, movers, measuring tape... It's all going smooth though and very exciting. I now live in a big loft style, industrial warehouse space and it is a super creative environment. So, as soon as I am set up, I am thinking that it's time to start writing and recording again.

2. If you could have someone look into a crystal ball and predict your future would you be interested?

No, not at all. I would be amazed that someone could do that, but as far as seeing my future, I would not want a reading. Life is full of ups and downs and surprises that happen for us to learn and grow and if I knew what was coming I might change my path and rob myself of some pretty valuable lessons or exciting times.

3. Now, as far as the old photo booth creations scenario, why not integrate this into SE?

That is a great idea, but now that we are at the Dragonfly and have to set up each week, it's not realistic yet. We are moving into a proper studio within the next few months and when we do I will revisit that idea. I know that TRL has one in place, but the good news is, by their own admission, they stole the idea from me so I have no problem stealing it back. I stole it from Andy Warhol anyway... So it's all about him in the end.

Congrats on your move, that's rad shit. Hope you enjoy the new place dude...

Now, as far as the ol' photo booth creations scenario, why not integrate this into SE?

Perhaps when it's own dedicated home environment is founding, could that not be integretated as an element of the set or at least get a piece by Todd on it?

Nice!

That's kinda freaky, how did Spencer get his question answered before he'd asked it?? Are you psychic Dave?

As I'm behind on things 6767 I can't think of a decent question to ask, so I won't. I hope the move in goes well, it's good when you have a blank canvass and can run riot and do what you want - and have the money to do it! Enjoy!

I have to say a big THANK YOU to Linda, Allan, Danni and Loulabell who all wished me a Happy Birthday for yesterday! I honestly wasn't fishing for comments when I posted yesterday, but it was really touching to read them today! The picnic and champagne were consumed in unhealthy quantities whilst the orchestra were doing a final rehearsal in the sunshine. 2 hours later the proms started and it immediately started to rain - a lot - but we all had waterproofs and umbrellas and it cleared after 30 mins. Nothing beats live music!! Fantastic!! Next year we'll have to remember the dining table, candelabra, champagne cooler and silver cutlery - we were a bit low rent with our plastic cups, plates, potato salad and smoked salmon on a blanket, maybe I better practise at the Peppers concert...ahhhh...perhaps not. Anyway, many thanks again for the kind wishes!!

Talking of live music, that Macy Gray and CF clip looked great - I would have been leaping around like an idiot at that gig. I was tempted to dance around at the end of the proms when they played the Can Can as an encore but unfortunately my friends were too sober, too high class and too close to throwing up the excessive food they'd just eaten to keep me company so I just clapped - what a chicken! - I should have just Can-Canned in the mud.

And on that note, have a great day...........SB

hmmm....provocative?

1. CC mentioned something in a post the other day an advertisment she saw with you for Teravision? What gives?

2. Loft? Congrats, are you and Riss closer neighbors now? and....did it come with "Factory Girls?"

3. Is there a sexual position you haven't tried? I'm thinking of the wooden doll pics...hahahahahah....I think they should name one after you...

love to all and especially to some

Phenomenal,

Glad you dig the idea. I thought of mentioning the whole TRL trip and what not, yet you've seen it! I'll be looking forward to the progression of this and future works. Thanks for putting them out there through the years.

Thank you DN for answering my To Do List - so fucking sweet of you, CONGRATULATIONS / Mazal Tov on the new home. Delighted that your creative energy is buzzing in that new space, looking forward to hearing the vibe in good time. Good luck with getting everything as you want it and settling in. Hope you are VERY happy and successful there honey!
(Also - this week is one year on 6767 for me so how happy did you just make me on that anniversary?) Thank you. Kisses and love.

Season-It's Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.

Congrats on the move and a new fresh start, but I'll tell you after a while you'll want to kill the contractor or rip them a new asshole. I did a complete demo/reno of my bathroom last month. I still have a medicine cabinet and 2 light fixtures sitting in my living room so someone's getting ripped a new one this week. ;-)

Well, since you are being thanked for answering questions, I will be a smart ass and say thanks for not answering mine! HAHA

You're welcome Sarah, sounds like you had an interesting day.

Hey cool idea about integrating the photo booth concept to SE -- maybe take it even a step further and make it somehow interactive via the web, with like a template where people can upload their own photo booth pics and have them all be in the same filmstrip style format. You might get some interesting stuff. YouTube meets Andy Warhol.

Congrats on the loft man, I hope those electricians are hooking up fat power lines for loud amps. I am jonsing bad for Navarro music output.

interesting how popular renovated industrial loft space has become in the last 20 years...so andy warhol right now dave... think it's the high vault ceiling area that gives one the impression there's room for creativity plus the added fact that some kind of manufacturing might have previously taken place there before... been in one that was renovated into an art gallery... creativity is a headspace not a physical space but i spose after a divorce a change is good for you fresh and exciting you sound like you're at low tide on the music shoreline which is part of the natural rhythm of creating and just exploring other mediums like internet shows ...photo booths and interior decorations which are all artistic endeavours but not necessarily your forte just a distraction to channel your creative flow before you get back into what you love best...no not porn films:)although you probably do like them best...guitar of course...yeah i predict that you will be the next porn star people will say ron jeremy ...nooooo way have you seen dave navarro:)swallowing crytal balls...but seriously being artistic or musically inclined means your right brained and probably indicates strong psychic capabilities and instincts about what's going on in the future anyway ...the crystal ball is just a tool used by the medium like a paintbrush or a PRS...

Yeah Dave to the recording of the new music!

I was wondering - will you have John Walsh on your show?

If you could change one thing about yourself, physically, what would it be?

Love to you!
Always,
me

Q-Do you still feel there is a creative vibe left on the internet (outside of Spread Entertainment of course)? Are you still getting out of it what you did say 8 years ago?

Posted by: Robin [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 14, 2007 06:14 AM

Morning Dave and Family :)

Here is a question I was asked at a scholarship interview recently...

You work for the circus. Are you a Ticket Taker, Lion Tamer, Clown or something else? Why? (I’m sure there is a psych evaluation hidden in that question. Haha)

Posted by: Ambersonian [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 14, 2007 10:45 AM

Amber-true story. Year ago when my friends son was very young they were at the circus. He watched the circus and all the goings on...and declared "When I grow up I was to be the "animal fooder" at the circus". They asked what that was and he said "You know you feed them and pick up their pooped".

Too cute!

Well only way to go is up with an ambition like that!

Posted by: Robin [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 14, 2007 11:12 AM

Amber...i was asked the same question at my entrance interview for Nursing school. It's to determine what "type" of person you will be in your field....passive, controlling, full-of-excitement...etc.

i said i wanted to be a trapeze artist.

Posted by: Nicole [TypeKey Profile Page] at August 14, 2007 01:04 PM

Scary psyche questions, I'd probably fall at the first hurdle and get booted out of the interview. A clown scared the crap out of me when I was about 4, so "stay as far away from the clowns as possible" probably wouldn't be an acceptable answer. I'd be in with the child feeding the animals and clearing up their 'pooped'......actually I think I do it already with the number of old, unwanted pets people keep giving me. Anybody out there got any ugly, knackered pets - just send them to me...

A fairly crap day at work so I am talking rubbish.... Karen's posts are always interesting though, although I'm not sure I get the connection between Dave and swallowing crystal balls...I'm obviously too tired...I could do with some crystal balls, I could hurl them at the gits I works with.

That's it, I'm stopping....good night everyone......SB

When you said, "Big loft style industrial warehouse space" I couldn't help but think of "Flashdance"... :)

I imagine a place like that naturally has it's own personality so decorating should be easy... and not to mention great acoustics! :)

Good luck in your new home!

Spreading the love,
Deena

in 1964 andy warhol found an empty loft in a warehouse building on east forty seventh street in NY and had the brick walls painted silver and the concrete walls covered with tin foil even the floors were painted silver...he even wore a silver wig to match...lovely idea...every cloud has a silver lining dave;) i would never join the circus i'm an animal liberationist:)i think you should get some tin foil and start lining your walls and play concrete blonde or something while you do it darling...xo
