Updates

Update time: So the first episode of Spread Entertainment is just around the corner, Thursday, May 17th at 8pm on ManiaTV.com. To kick things off, we are going to have Pull and Raiana from KHZ in to do a special acoustic version of something off their new upcoming album. Also, we will be showing a short video of our trip to Vegas... Part 1 is already out there right now, floating around, but we will be showing the trip in it's entirety. We will also meet Bill Shafer, an avid collector of serial killer art, who will be bringing in a couple of his favorite pieces.

On Camp Freddy Radio next Saturday, Billy and I will have Rose Apodaca (Fashion Editor for the LA Times) as an in studio guest.

Dave,
I finally got to hear last Sat show. I so wish I could have called in, I would have had a lot to say to Gilby...and you all too. I agree with what you were saying about music and the biz. I have a friend, when he hears some song that sucks he says, I would rather hear the Skipper yelling at Gilligan hahahahaha. Which I always think is funny. I agree that there are few groups you can listen to for hours, but I do listen to TPC like that, so good going. And I wanted to tell Gilby how much I love the new CD it reminded me of why I used to love metal. Yesterday I put it on 10 and danced and dance, that is a fun CD.

I loved the bit about rehab and group is about to begin, I worked as a counselor for years lol.

Looking forward to the new online show, #1 fan here!

Love to you Dave

Vegas Part 1 is funny! I love you calling Riss for the girls, and your expression when the driver doesn't tell you what you want to hear.

The serial killer art collector dude should be super interesting...I can't wait till the 17th.

Love to you and the family(man I always feel so Mafioso when I say that! hahaha),

I'm sad :-( I can't watch the Videos on ManiaTV. I have big problems with this page and the onlinestreaming. Maybe my internet is not fast enough. Is there a other way to watch the videos or the show?

Posted by: Somilein at May 3, 2007 02:18 PM

Cool, really enjoy KHZ -- looking forward to what they are going to do.

Posted by: jsamans at May 3, 2007 02:31 PM

That sounds very entertaining. I can't wait to see the art pieces.

Vegas, Part I.......looks great so far. Can't wait.

Posted by: dallison at May 3, 2007 02:49 PM

kool dude!! that serial killer art, sound really interesting.cant wait 4 the shows.

Posted by: nixxey at May 3, 2007 02:55 PM

waiting patiently and trying not to murder anyone at work before then...
kHz, serial killers, t-bone films...
the only thing that could make it better would be a mime or a juggler.
never mind i said that. i think someone put something in the watercooler.

That's awesome, Dave! I am anxiously awaiting the first episode. I am going to Vegas next year for the second time and I was wondering what hotel/casino do you recommend/prefer when you are there?

Posted by: rockstargirl at May 3, 2007 03:13 PM

Hey Dave!

I love the music for the clip. I kept expecting to hear someone start singing, "Who's the cat who won't cop out when there's danger all about...SHAFT!" hehehe (no one hold me to those lyrics, please)

Funny thing, I asked our last limo driver those very same questions and...nothing! What a let down. At least you were nice enough to give your driver a story to tell.

I hope you're having a blast with all of the new ventures. Going along for the ride has become one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Take care,
Paula

HHAHAHAHAA!!!

Yaaaaeah! Dude, this should be rad. It's really chill for you to be able to create in this new manner.

Posted by: Spencer at May 3, 2007 04:24 PM

Why drive to Vegas? Where you and Todd going for a "Hope/Crosby" type road movie? "...we're off on the road to Las Vegas..."

Btw...I just realized I have Mania TV embedded on my myspace page. So now everyone will see your ass while peeing in a cup! Awesome!

Posted by: Robin at May 3, 2007 04:26 PM

I fuckin love it, man. This is the kind of stuff that made me fall in love with you and TPC in the first place. More of the same, please! I can't wait!

hi everyone and happy weekend eve!

Cool, you let Todd videotape you with no makeup on, and you didn't hide those beautiful eyes behind shades! The show sounds interesting. I love studying the psychodynamics of serial killers, but their art, too freaky for me!

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at May 3, 2007 05:06 PM

I did not mean to offend anyone in my last post but, I really can channel Anna N. She has such a powerful spirit, as did M.M. I will admit, the Blueberry hill thing was both of ours, but the rest, my dears, was all Vickie Lynn Smith.

TMZ has gotten love from Lilo AND Mark McGrath this week? Damn, they are always right though!

Internet, hobby or addiction?

Only 2 or the 7 are left.

Though his character in the movie didn't net any memorable quotes.

Can I mention the elephant in the room:
Like, what is the status with CBS and
Rockstar not being on the summer schedule?

Please chime in on the radio show saturday
with an update.

Thanks

Hi Christo-
Maybe your definition of cool isn't the same as Dave's?

HE STILL IS:)

Posted by: Danni from ND at May 3, 2007 11:21 PM

Hi DN,
Good Mornin, look, I was gonna say something when I posted last night but it wasn't a 6767 issue so I wrote a blog about it and refrained but it IS something that is related to the net and how lucky we all are that you communicate with us the way you do.
Basically one of my would love to meet hero's for years has been the British Mentalist Derren Brown. (http://www.derrenbrown.co.uk) He is awesome. So, imagine my delight when I discovered his myspace page 2 weeks ago (am crap with search fac') I dropped him an email and unbelievably recieved one back. It was a very witty Derren-esque mail and after a few, he also sent pics of shoots, I did believe it was him....
Last night I went to meet Derren - ie the REAL Derren - as he is on tour here and to when I went to thank him for his adorable emails the poor lovely man had no clue W.T.F I was talking about.
So, the nutshell version is HE the real man is every bit as sweet and funny and gentle as one could ever wish for - but his myspace page is nothing at all to do with him. And he can not do anything about it... There is another site / blog somewhere set up too he told me about which also has nothing to do with him.
For every amazing time DN has answered our questions, and for every post in which we are treated with genuine kindess and inclusion into this world thank you.
Too many fakes.
Much love,
V.

What the fuck happend to if you have nothing nice to say than dont say anything at all? Come on assholes. Dave must be cool enough to grab your attention for you to hate on him....You're the lame one.
FYI thanx for the info!

yeah dragonfly and midnight express on the side of the truck i think the only thing we are channelling is hollywood here...you crack me up laughing...i think it's cool this new creative outlet for you dave...go 4 it!they call it performance art using film media if it's highbrow enough for national art galleries i spose peeing in a cup is pretty highbrow;)i'm laughing with you not at you...you are gorgeous...it might have been a long drive to vegas in between gas stations...supporting serial killers i'm a lil dubious bout that though shouldn't they be given a lethal injection and be put quietly to sleep like a dog that bites somebody consecutively rather than congratulated on their creative output and lauded and applauded it's all sooooo stephen king...rorschach ...clinical psychologists use those lil ink blobs to determine how pathologically disturbed you are...like is it a butterfly or is it a blood a stain kinda thing...i'm laughing again...all the goths go ...it's a freakin blood stain biatch...perceptions of the criminally insane are very very interesting course i wouldn't own one of their works myself or create that energy in my home...hey i thought you'd read the secret or seen the movie wasn't that about creating love light and positivity into your arena by focusing on those aspects that engender that...rose now she sounds a lot more fun and fashionable...and acoustic set with KHZ mellow and lovely...and you have great cheekbones dave with or without makeup if you were shipwrecked on gilligan's island with me would play...ummm...poker i spose...Xoh yes

Posted by: karen at May 4, 2007 01:08 AM

eternally cool...how could anybody ever cast such aspersions on your inherent coolness...the audacity of random people;)blue tint and overlay is lovely too

Mucho gracias for streaming the clip from Vegas. Mania TV hates me and my ibook :(. Also the Camp Freddy podcast are the best for us folks on the other side of the country who would be out or in bed by the time your show airs. Keep up the good work!

You got urine on your hand when you poured it out the window, didn't you? A lesson learned, my friend... wait 'til the vehicle is stopped.

Hello love,
I will enjoy seeing Pull on TV Mainia, he is super talented and a very sweet guy!

The vid and the art collector reminds me of a conversation I had with my daughter recently. She alerted me not to read a blog on my 17 year olds myspace page because I would be offended and when she asked her why she wrote it her reply was "I just wanted to freak people out", my daughter went on to say " remember mom she is 17"! My point being the wide range of demographics that artist have to appeal to and that darn shock factor that seems so marketable these days. just something to think about?
PEACE, LOVE & HAPPINESS!

Li, maybe it was just Gatorade? I hope everyone has a great weekend!

God Bless Perry 4 his recent message.

that's cool how dave and i "date" the same way.

who knew? ;)

u should post a pic of the "page" girl.

Posted by: rxs at May 4, 2007 02:30 PM

I doubt it was Gatorade, Dave doesn't appear to fake very much. What you see is what you get. Perhaps it was Gatorade originally!

Has Anna Nicole got nothing better to do in the afterlife than channel onto 6767? Fun as reading and posting on 6767 in this life is, I'm sincerely hoping that the afterlife offers more satisfying options!! I'd cut to the chase and haunt the limo.

For those with Mania TV problems, if you have Internet Explorer and Media Player, try the free upgrades from Microsoft. Mania TV wouldn't play at all for me, until fusciah and other 67ers helped me with computer suggestions. The upgrades caused a few hiccups, such as dumping the modem and completely screwing my husband's laptop, but after re-installing, etc. things are playing better. I've probably scared everyone off with the downside, but things definitely improved after the upgrades...honest!

Re the first episode of SE, I have no hope of seeing it live as 8pm in LA is 4am for me - I have a life and a job so staying up is not an option - will it be on rotation or repeated for those not in California?

"Here's a shot of me getting in to a limo"
"I want sex with that girl on the billboard"
"Did anyone ever do it in your back seat? "
"Watch me pee in your car"

This video proves you have mindset of an annoying eleven year old. Conversly, here's an actual eleven year old who can play guitar
