The Launch

(Copyright 2007 Debbie VanStory / RockinExposures.com)

OK the big Spread Entertainment launch is upon us, tomorrow at 5:00pm PST live from the Dragonfly. I know I promised a way to get tickets in advance, but we have been cranking so hard this week that I honestly do not know what the latest on that is. Here is what I do know. Due to the cameras and cables and crew and guests and machines, our live audience is going to be limited for the first couple of weeks. There are so many things to be worked out, but fuck it, the day is tomorrow so we are going to just go for it. The best suggestion I have if you are interested in attending would be to simply show up around 4:00pm, provided that you know that we can probably only accommodate 20 or so audience members. For Skype users, the url I have been given to give out is spread.entertainment. Personally, I don't know how Skype works, so hopefully those of you who do know what that means. (BTW Skype will not be up tomorrow.) HAHA. See you all tomorrow!

Looking forward to seeing the new show. Thanks!

I hope Dave or someone can answer this question. I won't be home to watch the premiere tonight and I was wondering if it will be available for download or to watch on line after the show?

Posted by: Leigh Ane at May 17, 2007 02:34 PM

Yeah baby, looking hot in here.
AND it's all on tonight!
Have a wicked time, so lookin forwards to watching it unfold..... X

ps: GOT my SRL cami!!!

Posted by: vixen at May 17, 2007 03:07 PM

Very cool... the spruced-up site, the show concept... the guests... all of it!

(BTW, I didn't realize that Skype was unavailable tonight, so you can ignore any request I may have sent. Sorry. I barely know how to use it myself - it's mostly for work purposes.)

Leigh-Ane - I read somewhere that the show is both live and on-demand, meaning you can watch reruns anytime from the ManiaTV site, just as you can all the other vids. Hope that helps!

Cheers,

Posted by: Denise at May 17, 2007 03:17 PM

Definitely helps Denise, thanks. Now I can watch when I get home tonight.

Posted by: Leigh Ane at May 17, 2007 03:27 PM

WOOHOO DAVE!! Your page looks awesome! How exciting this is for you. I know you are giddy as hell!

Can't make the launch of SE, so like Leigh Ane said...hook us up for those that can't watch (if it is possible).

Congrats Dave da man! It's about fuckin time, right? haha

Good luck tonight Dave. Pretty exciting stuff. Can't watch live...but I'll catch it later. Here's hoping you don't crash Mania TV tonight. It's been working a little buggy for me all day.

Sending love your way!

Unsure if its my media player or what. I missed the first 10 minutes of the show thinking my media player was busted because the ad for the show didnt have sound:

http://www.maniatv.com/tv/NetworkWelcomeTV.asx

So I figured I'd try watching without sound, and thankfully the show (the tom green segment) had sound. Then when you went to the vegas trip, the sound was gone again.

Unsure if anyone else had that problem.

Dave Darlin' great interview with Tom, set looks bad-ass....but at the moment I feel like I'm havin' a PCP flash back ..back.. back...ur experiencing technical difficulties ...difficulties ...you have an echo.. echo.. echo..:) you'll get the kinks worked out though don't sweat it.

I'm Fucking in!!

Posted by: Felipe at May 17, 2007 05:57 PM

That was really good! Dave you're such a natural at talking with the people...your interview segments were smooth as fuck and you had some nice segways too. It was really good considering this is the first time you've done this. You didn't even look nervous.

FYI - The only problem I had w/ audio was the segment where you were talking to all the people in that line and the beginning of KHZ when Rianna was talking into her mic. The performance came thru perfect though! Oh and Vegas audio played fine...

Man I can't wait to come down for a taping. Congrats on a fantastic first show...here's to many many more! :)
Love, Amber

Dave, this show was off the hook!

Even though there were a few technical problems, it was not bad at all.

It's just like sex, the more you do it the better you get. We all know how you've perfected sex, so I can just imagine how you'll perfect ManiaTv as well.

It's nice to see Todd. (Now we can put a face to the magical voice.)

I hope that as the show goes on there will be more audience participation.

To sum it up in one word... AWESOME!!!!

Posted by: Lady M at May 17, 2007 06:18 PM

Bravo! That was very interesting and lots of fun. I unfortunately missed the first half b/c I was in the wrong section of the site, but I'll catch it another time, cuz it's the internet, baby.

Lesson of the day: You have to click on the "Live TV" tab if you want to watch it live. LIVE is the key word. Now I know for next time.

The serial killer art was fascinating (sometimes revolting, but fascinating nonetheless). Definitely makes you wonder how their minds work.

KHZ's performance was beautiful. So was the all-too-brief brief shaving and shower scene from the Vegas footage. :)

Once again, congrats. Looking forward to the next one!

Posted by: Denise at May 17, 2007 06:25 PM

the video quality is good, the audio is too low fi, very low quality, too much crackling!

hook it up son.

Posted by: chris at May 17, 2007 07:12 PM

YEAH! it´s open again

hey dave,

damn! i missed it! i hate time difference between our countries. but i will give my best to check it out the next time.

ahh, and one thing i really would love to know. i couldn`t find it anywhere on the internet.

One of your tattoos:

"DER ZEIT IHRE KUNST DER KUNST IHRE FREIHEIT"
(couldn`t find the whole sentence. but i hope i`m right)

so, what inspired you to choose this one?

maybe you or someone else could tell me. would be nice. thx

and good luck and a lot of fun with your next shows!

all of you: have a great night

Congratulations on your first show Dave!

I'm a little perplexed at the lack of press so far...every time you have lunch, it seems, Janet Charlton lets us know about it...where the hell is she now??? PRIORITIZE PEOPLE!!! Here is finally something I want to read about...

Anyway...end rant...hope you enjoyed yourself Dave. Congrats again :)

You all need to check me out if you want to see a true musical genius!!!!

Posted by: Justin Timerlake at May 18, 2007 05:52 AM

YAY! Good luck with the show. The new graphics here are great but the best news I have had recently is to read that despite Steve's move to NYC there will be some more music from TPC in the future (hopefully we don't have to wait too long).

PS. Glad you are free from Crapitol

Hey Dave,
The first show was great! I saw a few minor technical difficulties involving sound, lighting & Bob Barker not being dead yet...but for an internet debut, it was fantastic!
And the changes here at 6767 are nice. Thanks for everything you do. we love ya!

Posted by: Kim at May 18, 2007 08:28 AM

I'm the one you should love. I'm still relevent in the music scene.

Posted by: Justin Timberlake at May 18, 2007 09:19 AM

That's true, how many peoples ever heard of TPC? What do you all suppose that stands fer? I thunk it might stand fer Terds Poop and Crap!!

Posted by: goober at May 18, 2007 10:03 AM

Sounds like a nasty S.T.D. to me

I understand why you wanted comments on myspace instead of 6767 for a while.

Assholes love anonymity. Like the two nimrods above.
