Current TPC Status

I have been asked a lot about the music lately, so here is the latest. Steve Isaacs has decided to move to New York and begin a new chapter of his life. We wish him the best of luck and will miss his presence in LA, but we will never have to miss his friendship. Go kick ass NYC style Spooky! So what does that mean for TPC? Well, I'm not really sure because we didn't "break up", however, the distance certainly doesn't make it very easy for us to do anything right now. I guess we will just call it a hiatus. As a result of Steve's departure, Siggy and I have discussed doing something else with Perk and I am also interested in doing another record on my own, but in a totally different direction than TNO. I'm just thinking about it now, as I don't have a clear cut idea of what it should be. Either way, the beginning stages of these potential ideas are a few weeks away because I have been focussed on getting this Internet show together... Something I have been wanting to do for a long time. I will always be playing in one way or another. I do love taking on new projects and trying out different ideas, but without music, I would be uninspired to attempt any of them. For those of you who have asked about Rockstar, I honestly have no information on that. It may come back, it may not. That isn't my call, so I can't answer to that question.

Tomorrow night is an all new CFR!

(We are currently revamping some things here, so if you wish to comment, you can do so at MySpace.)

Dave,
I loved seeing The Panic Channel live and was at (I believe) your first show in San Diego. However, I felt the album just never took off, for whatever reason. You are one of my, if not the, biggest musical influence (along with PJ Harvey, NIN, Johnny Marr). I look forward to something edgy and obscure from you. Make it ugly Dave, make it ugly....

Kind of like the "death" tarot card. Death of things being exactly as they were, and a rebirth brings new changes, and new beginnings. One band can expand like a tree and make so much awesome music. The trunk is still there but the branches keep on growing. I love that about you guys. You're not strapped down into one thing, but you all just keep making good music no matter what. Awesome.

Nature's first green is gold.
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower,
but only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day,
Nothing gold can stay.

Spreading the love,
Deena

Dave,

2 suggestions:

How about recruiting Lukas to replace Isaacs

or

Rockstar 3 should find a singer for you and Perk.

Bonus suggestion:

Call Perry up and give it another go.

I know you will do well in whatever you do. I am looking forward to the new music you make on your own, with TPC, or with Perk and Siggy.
