Sorry if this is really off topic but you do have connections with Rockstar. As a fan of the show I heard a the 3rd season is hard press to find any feature act to take a new lead singer. This is just an idea, imagine it for a breif second, I think on the long term it will solve the delema of the show trying to find a broke up band to keep the show going. I say the show finds 10 hopeful bands that consists of 4 members (not just one lead singer) and the idea is one band in the end will win a record deal and world wide tour. I know 10 bands of four is alot of people but I think there are ways around that too, the leader of each band can represent to band on vote night so that there isn't alot of people crowding the stage. I also think the song "Rock and Roll Band" by Boston is a great opening song song for the show, because of the lyrics, try relistening it and picture it in your mind. It's really not bad of an idea. I imagine this idea is too late for this year but maybe next year. Thanks for reading.

Gilby Clarke, this is going to be great. I just got my new Gilby Clarke CD in the mail today! I love it, good roots there. I could hear the roots of metal there.

Also got a CD by Ned Evett playing fretless guitar. OMG it is awesome. I had no idea what a fretless guitar was until last saturday night I saw it on PBS and then found it on Utube it is wild wild stuff. (Also got the 1st season of Weeds. Thank you amazon.com)

I saw Gilby in Toronto last month What a real show. Storm was brilliant, now I am a fan of hers too. His drummer was so funny, he could do a stand up routine.

Hola... Great CFR Saturday! It's always so awesome to hear you guys speak so candidly about your views on the music you love, changes in the music scene and whatnot, particularly from your inside persective. It's cool to hear the greats talk about topics that we can all relate to (in addition to the stuff that we can't all relate to - money, chicks, big pimpin' and high rolling in Vegas...)

Actually, I thought of Dave & co. this weekend as I went to CT with a dear friend to play the poker machines with the little old ladies... lol.

Anyway, as you guys were talking about the groups you love (AND the groups that you belong/belonged to), I noticed two things they all share: Intensity and variety. A willingness to experiment with different musical styles and flavors. Variety/diversity is truly the spice of life - musically and otherwise. It's what makes good music/TV/entertainment/art great.

I was interrupted by a few phone calls during CFR, so I'm looking forward to the podcast to catch what I missed.
