Game On!
Time to fire it all back up again! I have been doing some SRL shows lately and I have decided to make the MySpace SRL page the main page for updates and broadcast reminders. It is now linked from the icon to the right that used to go to my now deleted personal page. I know it has taken me as long to post as it has for the Denny Ducket character on Grey's Anatomy to go away! When there is nothing to report, there is nothing to report! Anyway, we have been getting the beginning steps of the Internet TV project together and we should be up and running sooner than we expected. The loft is still not completed so we are going to find an alternate space in the meantime.
Reminder: This Saturday on Camp Freddy Radio (Indie 103.1 FM) from 6-8pm I will have author and friend Neil Strauss on the show to take calls, discuss his work and play some of his favorite jams.

Nice! I've been loving the SRL shows, I can finally listen live w/ my dsl. 3 shows in 3 days...you're gonna fuckin spoil us. (as if we aren't already! haha)
Can't wait for the Internet TV project...I love that there is always something to look forward to w/ you, Dave!

Hi sweetie, at least I caught the last half hour of SRL. On the subject of your Internet TV site, I was wondering why you deleted those awesome videos? Love ya baby bro, I don't have one, so I'm adopting you. HaHa
Posted by: Linda from San Diego at April 19, 2007 03:25 PM
Hey Sexy,
Thank you for the update - looking forward to it. I agree - we are going to get spoiled.
You always leave us wanting more that's for sure.
Good luck w/all the things on the agenda too.
Pace yourself. Say, since you only did a "Sunday Five" last week...does that mean a "Sunday Fifteen" this weekend? ha ha
Be well baby.
XOXO, ~SpaJunkie

I think it should be a Sunday 13 since, to the best of my recollection, that is Dave's favorite number. I'm really looking forward to CFR, I have an interesting question for you and Neil.
Posted by: Linda from San Diego at April 19, 2007 03:33 PM
To quote another movie (other than the "right stuff") "Just when I thought that I was out they pull me back in".
Ya just can't stay away from myspam can you?
Speaking of which, how are you going to get around the spam that annoyed the hell out of you the last time? Because that page gets a TON of spam (besides constant nonsensical comments).
I'm glad to see you getting those creative juices flowing!
Whatever those "juices" might be, even your idea of a "Pollack" painting.

Oh cool, Neil is a neat guy. I always look forward to his books. Maybe he'll let us know what's coming up next.

oh, i forgot to mention; i have two requests for future CFR shows.
Please have Eric Avery come back to the show. His new album is coming out soon, so he'll have something to talk about.
Also, get Inger Lorre on too. She is bad ass!

Wow, I'm normally way down the list of posts. Managed to master the CFR downloads, but never done the SRLs, I'll try that when it's not approaching midnight and my brain cells have given up and gone to bed before me. On the last CFR, one of the callers appeared to make comment on Dave and Billy's inappropriate use of humour concerning rehab? I didn't catch it all, but I think that was the gist. I've never been to rehab and I hope I will never have reason to, so I can't comment on that, but I do work in a job where I am occasionally exposed to traumatic scenes, events, actions, whatever. My SOH could probably be described as acidic, sarcastic, hard, graveside humour but a lot of the humour is a coping or defence mechanism - this is perhaps why I find CFR's political incorrectness funny. Sometimes laughing at a situation will get you through it, better than contemplating the seriousness of it and beating yourself up about it. If laughing is a coping mechanism, then I don't think the person should be criticised for it, perhaps be more subtle about it, but don't stop it! Ultimately we are all different. If you don't like or agree with something, don't listen, watch or whatever. There was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing (sp?)about the Kermit video - I could see why people found it funny, but for a number of personal reasons I didn't and so didn't watch it again - end of story.
Sorry Dave - this is a bit of a rant, but I tend to get irritated by people who try to take the moral high ground and look down on other's behaviour. Some people laugh, others don't, move on, there's more to life....
Hi everybody, take care.....SB

Funny you should make the Grey's comment...I recently watched the entire season 2 (in bulk-which i don't reccomend to anyone-way too heavy)& loved the episode with Donovan, and the scene where he dropped your name. Would have been cool if you were in the episode too. Which now leads me to a Sunday 10: Do you get pursued for acting gigs and would you ever consider it?

Dude, have Live365 contacted you about the changes in royalty structures?
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38972
Nerd news, but the rules now state you have to pay per-song x per-listener, as opposed to paying fees by average listening hours. Is this going to hit SRL and the Factory project too much for its own good?
Yet again, the RIAA and the music industry find a way to strangle all the creativity and interest out of the world... woo..hoo.

BTW, it wasn't me who posted that question in last week's CFR. There is more than one of us. But in times like this, there is no reason to be petty...about ANYTHING. We have to be grateful for what we have and appreciate the people in our lives while they are still with us. And I learned to play Cheap Trick's "The Flame" on a classical Yamaha. Yay me!

Dave - Whats up with this??
We post an honest post and receive a permanent ban - Who runs the panic asylum?
Check this out!
We post this:
Dave
Three friends & I, all for whom are handicapped, purchased 4 tickets to the RSSN and The Panic Channel show in Wallingoford, CT in January 2007. We contacted Daves management to see if there was a meet 'n greet for this show. We received a response telling us that they were "looking to see if we have access to any front row seats" and "if the band has a meet & greet planned that night, we can get the four of you in."
A few days later I receive another email from Azoff management requesting credit card info to secure seats. I sent the Credit Card info, as requested, but we didn't hear anything back. After repeated email attempts, we finally contacted the person (Janelle) on the phone and she confirmed that "everything looks like a go, and enjoy the show!" We arrived at the show to find out there were no passes, no tickets, absolutely nothing. Major let down and huge humiliation.
The four of us decide to see if we can speak to someone with TCP. We go to the sound guy who reads the emails and says OK I will get Bobby the tour manager. Bobby comes out - looks at the 4 of us - since we are disabled, not the best choice for backstage candidates. Bobby states, "Sorry, if there were no passes left for you, theres nothing I can do." Then he snickers and walks away.... humiliating us even more.
I sent the correspondence to Dave's attention and Dave responded on 2/7/07 saying: "I'm very sorry that this happened and I will look into it. I had no idea about this. I dont know how I can make it better except when we are back I will take care of you guys personally." We still haven't heard back from him.

Joe from CT, you REALLY need to get over it. Move on. Find a hobby. Leave Dave alone, he can't get in his time machine and travel back to fix it. JUST GET OVER IT. Lots of people here wanted backstage passes and they didn't get them either, you don't hear them bitching for 3 months about it. And you got banned because you kept posting exact the same thing over and over, just like you're doing here.

Always nice to hear from Dave, even when there isn't much to say. Just the WAY he says things is interesting enough for me. Still, I completely understand that sometimes you have to live life first, write/blog about it later... (and sometimes if you're lucky, the really good stuff is not fit for blogging! lol)
Speaking of writing, that's exciting that Neil Strauss will be on this week's CFR. I was seriously just thinking about him for some reason, and getting nostalgic about how his style melded so perfectly with Dave's in DTTAH. I hope to catch that CFR, and if not, the podcast will certainly be one for the records!
Peace/love to all,

MIND YOUR BUSINESS!! Daves management screwed over 4 people and when it was brought to his attention he was appalled and considering the 4 people they screwed over were all HANDICAPPED - Myself included, it made our trip to the show horrendous - SO understand that Dave is very difficult to get in touch with and the 6767 is the best bet to get in touch with him!
I/We do not appreciate your comments and wish you well, but it is very rude, since being handicapped is hard enough without having people we do not even know ridiculing us.
I wish you well and there are no hard feelings, just understand that if we had other alternatives, we would use them to remind Dave of his statements and concerns. WE did not SPAM any boards whatsoever.
Knowing Dave is overwhelmed and figuring this is the ONLY way to get in touch with him - We posted. If he is unaware of what his mgmt team is doing, how on hell is he going to fix it. The original letters sent to him, were FYI's and he was courteous enough to respond and offer to fix it personally - SO if you do not know the issue - do not speak
As the old saying goes:
Its best to leave ones mouth closed and be assumed ignorant, than to talk and remove all doubt!
- ANY SUGGESTIONS on how to get in touch with him would be appreciated???

So what's up with this? Why is this happening? Excellent answer Joe to people who are aholes and have no idea what's going on. Maybe if they really knew anything about Dave, they'd know he would definetly want to know how horrible his management staff was to handicapped people. Being handicapped is a horror in itself, never mind living in poverty and taking the little money that
Posted by: sandy at April 20, 2007 11:22 AM
As I was saying before my computer died, Having to spend what little money you do have on a ticket, then being disrespected because you aren't of the "NORM" totally sucks. Listening and watching Dave, I'm in shock that he wouldn't want to hear what was going on. I'd be shocked if anyone out there, no matter who it was wouldn't want to hear that they had jerks for employees. I'm sure Dave pays good money for them, why shouldn't they do the job in the proper manner and make Dave look good? That is certainly what I would except from my employees. I see and deal with a major handicap daily, I've seen the bad looks, I've seen the problems in school, stores, hospitals etc. It's not fun to live with. A little bit of sympathy here guys. Stop bitching when you don't even know why or what is going on. As you say, find something better for yourself to do instead of picking on handicapped people. You're really pretty sad! Stop being a hater and try to help, why not go out of your way and be a little nice instead of making such sad comments. I'm ashamed for you! Lighten up. Maybe volunteer or join an awareness program. You might learn why not to hurt or pick on the handicapped. They're just like you. Now stop picking where you shouldn't and go and have yourself a good day!

Sandy, Joe from CT......chill out. I am a member of the Panic Asylum and the reason the ban was put there was because the same post was put in multiple threads saying the exact same thing, that is called SPAM. If you read the rules on the board, no spamming....The ban had nothing to do with someone being handicapped etc.....for you guys to say that anyone is picking on handicapped people is ridiculous. Everyone is treated the same over there, it is a wonderful group of people who truly care about one another. Maybe you need to take a step back from what is really bothering you and stop attacking others. This message is not to be taken as an attack just as an observation. Love to all.....Bratty
Posted by: Bratty at April 20, 2007 12:00 PM
No, from what I understand he was banned from the Asylum for spamming the board with his same "boo hoo" shit. For the SECOND time.
"Maybe if they really knew anything about Dave, they'd know he would definetly want to know how horrible his management staff was to handicapped people."
Maybe IF YOU knew a little something about Dave you would know:
If you keep up your complaining and you'll get NOTHING from him, handicapped or able-bodied. He doesn't discriminate if you piss him off. Your just being a complaining pest.
His Manager is Larissa who is a doll. You didn't get "free tickets"?? Well boo hoo, there are a load of people who have been following Dave for YEARS and not just from TV who are not exactly loaded in the money dept either. Do you see them begging for free passes?
You keep whining about his appearance in AC. It was a CLUB HOSTING not a fucking concert.
This isn't about your handicap, your the one using it like a trump card. This is about someone being a real pain in the ass complaining for almost 4 months now...
give it a rest.

AMEN Choir.
It IS our business if you're posting here, TPC.com, the asylum, everywhere we belong. Yes, it's Dave's site but we are the ones who frequent it, read it, post, and have to read your same complaints over and over. That is spam. Don't make me go back and list EVERY time you posted here the same sad song.
If you knew ANYTHING about Dave you'd know he reads this blog, ALL the posts, and that includes your constant complaints. And let me ask you something: if you received a "personal response" from Dave, why don't you use that email address to contact him?
Don't even try to run that BS around here, it won't work. And constantly calling yourself handicapped as a means to make it seem like people are discriminating against you is simply disgusting.

I had no intention of SPAMMING anything - A member of this post sent me an email and stated to post it on Panic Asylum - SO I seen 2 different topics, not sure which one would get to Dave So I posted to both - NOTHING SPAMMING about anytype of business - Just about what transpired and what Dave responded back!
Literally within moments of posting - I get banned - Lets do the math - Daves Personal Assistant and Management staff humiliates us and then going to a site that was recommended by another Dave fan - I got the boot! Thats 2 for 2
Not playing the handicap card, but it makes you think... Just trying to give Dave soe insight on what happens whwn the mouse is away!
I am sure if Dave gets wind of this, he will get involved.
Dave is a respected man and since he did respond once before I have full confidence - He will be in contact again
Peace to ALL
and lets see if Panic Asylum lets me back on!
P.S.
Sandy
Being in the same boat as I - Thanks for the support - Only one who walks in my shoes, understands the dealings us handicap get everyday.
I did not ask for this disability, I got this from a careless driver while I being stopped at a traffic light - 15 years ago who hit me dead on - thru me into on coming traffic to get hit dead on again! I was listed as going to die - Had my wife of 3 months called to the scene to say her final goodbyes and I am here to still talk about it -
But now I have to deal with the :normal" people judging - especially things that they do not understand - If you werent at the CT show and didn't see the emails I got from Daves mgmt and Dave - Don't speak
- I wish this handicap to never happen to my worse enemy - so be compassionate!
FYI The person that hit me took off!

I didn't read the post so I didn't know what time CFR will be and I've never caught a live CFR, OTHERWISE I wouldn't have asked. You guys should know me better than that. . . Bitches. Oh, and I still didn't read the post! Miss you all. . . Mostly.

ONE NOTE TO YOU - Larissa F - Was the first one to contact me and forwarded it to Janelle - If you are in Daves camp - you know who both of these people are - Dave seen the emails and I even spoke to both on the phone
- I didn't want free tickets - I gave them my credit card info! What is crap - is the emails from Larissa and Janelle saying that they are locating 4 front row seats and 4 passes and then when we get there - NOTHING - Then speak to the Tour Manager - Bobby - Who basically "looked down" at us. This is where I think Dave needs to review his staff and how they shit on people when he's not looking! This whole issue is just an FYI for Dave
Dave read the actual emails ai received and thats why he responded -
I pay for everything, never want anything for free - Just wanted the same opportunity everyone else has in this life - To be equal!
Understand that ticket I purchase was over a months paycheck! Supporting a family of 4 on minimal checks - Try taking your salary for say - 6 months - spend in on a false hope and see how you feel!
Dave will respond - Its a matteer of when he sees what transpired!

The response I got from Dave - That email is shut down - If you knwo where he responds from - you would knwo that as well!
So, since that is shut down - We now ask for him to reply from here - since this is his blog and as noted - he is busy - we understand - but since there is no way to contact him, we posted here!

Joe, tell the truth--it was there online for all to see.
You made at LEAST two separate NEW threads AND posted in at least one existing thread with the same exact message. THAT IS SPAMMING.
Get it? Got it? Good. The truth is out there.
That is why you are banned. Now let's ALL stop cluttering up the blog and going around in circles. Get over it.
Buh bye.

And Joe still kept his book when you guys got dumb with him. when will you guys learn to let Dave deal with Dave stuff? Kudos to you Joe from CT for not getting on their level. And is it really that fucking hard to skip a post you don't want to read? You're so caught up in Dave's life you forget about yours.

Hey Dave,
I'm visiting Vegas for the first time and I know you're a regular there. In your opinion, what casinos are the "must see's"? What are your favorite clubs? Is there one particular place where you've won some decent cash? Finally, what tattoo shop should I visit?
Thanks!

Joe from Ct......again, you need to chill out and stop getting so angry. I am a huge Dave fan, TPC fan...etc...I would love to see them and meet them, but I don't have the money for tickets and such, so I just join the asylum and enjoy some wonderful friends that I have made through Dave. I was commenting to YOU about why you would have been banned, nothing else. I never said you intentionally did spam, just what transpired. I really doubt anyone intentionally tried to hurt you or your friends, and the more you post about what Dave should know about his personal assistant could get you nothing. Just saying....I am sure Dave knows what goes on.... If you can't take it as that, I am sorry. You know there are all different kinds of problems in everyones life, so be careful who YOU judge and make snide comments to.
HI Jenn.....miss you.....Bratty

Joe - Dave reads his blog comments. He has seen your multiple posts. If he hasn't responded in a way you deem appropriate, I suggest you just move on.
I understand your frutstration, but you posted a response from Dave saying he would take care of you personally next time he came to your town. Take the man at his word and next time he's touring, contact him then!!
If your true intention was to bring this matter to his attention then you've done so twenty times over my friend.
Happy Friday, Dave and Family.
Love,
Amber

Amber
I lost contact with Dave - That is where this transpired and since Dave did contact me - I thought fro sure it was a done deal - but sionce the email he contacted me at - got shut down!
I apologize to all who may be offended - I am just trying to get the message to Dave and with Panic Asylum - I was told to post on that from a 6767 poster - Didn't mean to SPAM - Just was following a helpful hint
Dave
If you read this - I would be honored to a personal repsonse - I sent you my contact info via the myspace post
Rock on and this post overall is GREAT!

Jenn - I think I've missed some posts, but about CFR, I now am able to download it off iTunes thanks to advice from other 67ers. If you miss the live feeds, the download is the next best thing!
Another load of posts I've missed are the 'Joe from CT' ones. If the scenario is as described, I'd be pretty mad as well, disabled or not, however, I think the circular arguing is not going to help anyone in the long run. It's just going to annoy and hurt feelings, can't we all just have a big hug? Well perhaps not - I've been eating garlic. I've seen 'Joe from CT' post so many times now I think Joe is more famous than Dave - can I have your autograph?
Have fun everyone............SB

Holy Shit! This is amazing. I totally agree with JustMe about Joe from Ct. Why in the world are Bratty and crew getting so bent out of shape? This guy is just trying to get an answer. If it's true, like you say, that Dave does read these blogs then maybe it would be a good idea for him to know what's up with all his fans. Not just a certain few. I also am a member of Panic Asylum and have read most of these blogs and I guess I'm not reading enough, because I certainly haven't seen as many posts as you state. I guess I have my own life and can't remember from 4 months ago. It might be a good idea for you to get a life of your own and stop trying to tell someone your interpritation of what they are saying. I certainly and it looks like others think he is doing nothing wrong, but trying to get an answer the only way he knows how. What is so wrong with that? Is that a bad thing? Since I've never fallen into this chat, blog or post stuff, I'm surprised I'm venting so bad here. Just to let you know a little something. My 14 year old nephew has autism with ADHD to just name a few of his disabilities. If I had told him that I was taking him to a show to meet someone and it didn't happen he would have had a meltdown and it really wouldn't be pretty. How do you people know what's going on here? but you have the attitude to tell this poor guy off. Wake up and realize not everyone will believe in your opinions. We can all have our own and shouldn't be crusified because of it. Get over it and realize you aren't the only people who post here. If you don't like what people say it might be a real nice thing on your part to move on (as you say) and ignore it. Let him do what he feels he needs to do. Is that such a crime in your eyes. I wish we where back in the 70's where everyone had a good time and loved one another and none of this real stupid shit happened. LOVE AND PEACE.

Conn Joe has posted non-stop on every DN site for months.
Joe is inconsiderate and annoying and no health problems excuse that. he is old enough (over 40)to learn to be considerate of others. the world doesn't revolve around him, Sandy and his birthday.
Also, he receives personal emails from someone and he reposts them everywhere. why not send separate/private emails to DN before? why do you want special treatment when you are miles away from where TPC is now and they are not performing special for you right this moment.
Joe-find volunteer work to do, others are worst off. if you had not been banned from asylum how many times would you have reposted private emails from DN? 50 times like you are doing today? be considerate even on the internet.

Considerate - I am the most polite person you would ever meet! I am just defending what people are accusing me off! I wholeheartedly am attempting to see that Dave knows what transpired and that this wrongdoing does not happen to anyone else - Period and quote
And one last point, I posted twice since when I first posted - I didn't realize there was a better topic to post under
Since Dave is the ONLY ONE who can judge the content of this post - He is the judge and jury - and will have final say!
AMAZING THOUGH - How many people have an opinion on something they know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about!
As the saying goes, put yourself in the eye of the third party and you will understand the feelings of them! If you haven't walked in my shoes, please do not place yourself in them!
PEACE TO ALL!

There is a billboard on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood that reads, "The Algorithm Killed Jeeves." I say he is alive and well on their new television commercials, and you will find him here, " Ask.com." That dude was fucking Jeeves the whole time, damnit! heehee.

DAVE-IN CASE YOU DO A TEN OR FIVE OR WHATEVER....do you find that you are more inspired to create or even play your instrument when you are in a state of bliss or happiness or more so when you are sad, angry, depressed, etc.? Just curious. I know many people (myself included) that seem to be more creative in their art when they are suffering. I've been asked why I don't paint "happy" things. I see that as a good thing in a way because I'm thankful that I have that outlet. And some times beautiful things can rise from the ashes :)
Much love,
babygirl
