Home!!!
I know, it has been forever since I have checked in. Well, better late than never I suppose. We are finally home with one more show here in LA. The tour was so much fun I can't even describe it. Just imagine four guys rolling around the country with basically no responsibilities with the exception of 30 minutes a night. Lots of room for trouble, mischief and insanity I can assure you... Usually in a harmless way, but sometimes the behavior can be questionable. HAHA. I have been gone since the AVNs so it is really kind of shocking to be back at my place. After six weeks of being away, the smallest things stand out, such as... How hot the water at home gets. We are so used to luke warm showers at the venues that I almost scorched 7 layers of flesh off of my body when I stepped into the shower at home. I have also come to realize just how much I love and missed my desktop computer. It makes my laptop experiences seem like I was using two cans and string to connect to the world from out there on the road. So much has gone down that it might be easier for me to open up the Q & A about the tour instead of trying to recall everything.

I don't have any questions...Just wanted to drop in and say "Hello!"...It's been ages it seems...Hope you and all the 67'ers are doing great! Sounds like you had a fun tour!

Any plants bite the dust while you were gone?? ;-)

I can totally relate to dave's laptop/desktop experiences. I used a laptop for 4 years for colelge, and hated it and the first thing I did after it crapped out was buy a desktop. sooo much better.
so now the question...what kind of laptop do you use on the road dave? I hope it really wasn't two cans and a string lol...;-)

Hey Dave! Sorry I missed you out on tour but sounds like you had a blast!
So what is next for you, The Panic Channel?
Anything out on the road you found disappointing w/the shows?
Posted by: zoodishbu at February 26, 2007 01:57 PM
Glad to hear you had a great time.
I can't even imagine how busy you have been lately. I bet it has been fun though.
I am busy with school, tutoring psychology, and getting my club Student's with Unique Abilities (club ran by special needs student's) up and running. But that is nothing compared to you and going on tour.
have a great day :)

Hey Dave......loved the Vancouver show, you guys rocked the place, even playing acoustically. Had a chance to meet Steve and Stephen after your set and they were a couple of the nicest guys I ever met. You keep some good company man.
What is next for you anyways? Another solo record maybe....hopefully??
Later.

So enjoyed your show in Phx - thank you! Just wish it was LONGER!
A couple of questions
1. What was your favorite "sightseeing" experience on the tour?
2. What was the strangest experience you had with the locals on the tour?
Enjoy being home - I'm sure you are already!

Dearest Dave,
Last night I watched the video Podcast of Great albums by you and Steve I. I am pleased to say that Trent is my favorite artist too. I now realize and therefore now understand why I admire you so much. NOT only do you feel deeply but the cognitive processes that get you to those feelings are intricate and anamolus when juxtaposed with other extraordinary musicians. (not that I actually know you or actually know other famous musicians, this conclusion is of course based on my perception of you)
Thank you for evoking integrity and honor through the inticing and incendiary musicality you emit.
P.S> my friend Ambersonian met you this past Thursday and you really made her feel special. THANK YOU She highly reveres your muscial abilities too!

Hey, Dave! It's great to finally hear from you. I think it's safe to say that we've missed you around here.
Someone already got to my question, which was ... "what's next for the band?" Not that you don't deserve a break because you definitely do. Just curious.
I still think back on my show here in CT with a smile. I hope to see you again at some point ... hopefully sooner than later.

Hi Dave,
I am so glad you are back home, as I have missed having you post!
I was lucky enough to score front row seats for the Oakland show and I loved and enjoyed watching TPC up close. Thanks for putting on a great show.
My question is how do you detoxify when you get home, as I would think it would be hard to eat healthy or maintain any sort of exercise routine on the road.
Thanks,
Michelle

So glad you are home safe and sound. Loved the show in Oakland, but like someone else said I wish it was MUCH longer.
What was your best experience on this tour? Your worst?
Take Care of yourself and enjoy being home!

You talk about the little things that you missed, but what did you miss the most while on the road?
Posted by: Saria at February 26, 2007 02:19 PM
Hi Dave. :-) Glad you boys had an awesome tour and tons of fun. How could you not, considering the company? LOL TPC impressed so many folks when you guys were out on the road. I heard tons of positive fan reviews all the way through. :-)
Ouch, dude. You're supposed to save the boiling water for the yummy hard-shell crabs, not your poor bod. Hope you're okay.
Brother, you're preaching to the choir. I went through a hard drive crash, awhile back, and it's so good to have my regular computer back, again. LOL It's probably not a good thing how much we come to rely on our tech toys. But, man, it's wonderful having them. LOL
Thanks, again, to you and the boys for the acoustic set in Vancouver. You guys were awesome, even down a man and feeling under the weather. I definitely want to see you guys, again, someday, for a full set. :-) Peace to you and all the peeps. :-)

Hey sexxxy,
Glad you made it back in one piece. It was great to hear/see you again.
Here's my QUESTION:
With all of the great press the TPC has received being on the RSSN tour, is Crapitol planning to promote/support the band more? Maybe a solo tour again? I think the band should "strike while the iron's hot" and get back out there.
Also, what's the staus of the TV show with Neil and Mania TV?
Ciao Bello,

So I was wondering about that cigarette in your mouth during the Loveland show... do you really smoke or is that a prop?

Question...
Do you think Ticketmaster would go for this? I think they should give away a dozen pairs of tickets (to most concerts and ball games) to families of enlisted men and women who are deployed overseas.
Question 2:
Have you ever been on tour with someone who whined so much you just wanted to kick his ass out the window? Did you? (no need to name names)
Posted by: Missymoon at February 26, 2007 02:34 PM
Welcome home, Dave! Im so glad your tour was a great experience for you. It was definitely a fantastic experience for me being front row and center in Oakland.
Like I said in the Asylum, I dont know how the rest of the house was reacting, but it was a family fuckin party up front! The absolute highlight was meeting you at Aura. Your warm greeting and attitude far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for such a great memory.
My question is:
~How exactly does that whole afterparty thing work? What are your obligations when you do them? Do you have to stay for a certain amount of time, talk with people etc etc.
Love, Amber :)
PS. To all the 67 fam and Agents who has been so supportive during these past few weeks - regarding the murder of my little cousin, I wanted to share some great news with you. Earlier today they arrested the little fucks who shot and killed him. Perhaps now my family can begin to struggle to find some closure and peace in all this saddness.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind thoughts, prayers and support. It still amazes me that Dave brought such an incredibly special group of people into my life. I love you all! xoxo

Hey Dave. Just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration for learning to play guitar. My question about touring is sort of indirectly related. I was just curious what your thoughts on people taking recording gear into your shows and taping them are. Keep in mind this is simply for memories sake. Although there are assholes out there looking to make a quick buck, most people simply want to relive the memories of the experience. Do you think taping for memories sake is a good thing or is it something you are against altogether.

Hi Dave,
Welcome home. Sounds like you had a terrific time.
1.) How do you feel about some of the negative comments made about the gigs? (not yours of course but RSSN) I understand that the press love to eat up reality shows and the concept but do you feel that some of the articles were fair or do you feel they trashed for the sake of trashing?
2.) Will there be another Rockstar show this summer?
3.) If there is, would you ever consider doing another tour like this with next years band? Depending on the band of course.
4.) Out of all the places you played, what city stood out the most and why?
5.) I read on Dilana's blog that she had joined you on a song or two, how was that? Would you see yourself colaborating with her?
6.) Through all of this what lesson did you value the most? Was there anything that stood out from this experience?
Thanks
T

My daughter and I saw the show in Oakland and The Panic Channel was for sure the best set although she might disagree - she was not expecting to see Toby and the look on her face was priceless when he came on stage. We drove 6 1/2 hours to see you and it was worth every minute. I was the crazy woman with the sign 6767. Wanted to let you know that your fans were represented but I am sure you know that. Awesome show - looking forward to more Panic Channel. Glad you are home safe and sound.

I hope that you had a great time, it sounds like you did. Since I didn't get to see you and the boys on tour I am glad you are back home and we can hear from you more often. I hope the next time you tour more smaller venues in smaller towns will be on the schedule. Welcome home!
Love to all.....

Dave
Glad you are back - Hope that you look into the incident (and emails) I sent you in regards to the Wallingford, CT show and hope that Barbara gets the item Sandy made and sent to you, to you.
When you contacted me, however... You never stated how to get in touch with you.
Knowing you are a sincere man of his word, the 4 of us look forward to the opportunity to meet you!

No fair...I'm so jealous of everyone saying "I saw you here...I was at the concert here, etc... I live in Idaho and have two small kids, so it's about impossible for me to see one of your concerts. Talk about small venues, Pocatello, ID?

Hi,
what was it with that Vancouver Show? I heard it was an accoustic set because you had to leave Siggy behind at the border. Is that true? How did it feel to have your plans foiled by that?
Love,

Alright, I wanna hear your most creative way to keep your clothes fresh from gig to gig. I'm starting to get surprised over my friends insane ideas on what they've been doing for the last few weeks on their tour. Damn, it ain't pretty.
