Back To Normal
1. What was your favorite "sightseeing" experience on the tour?
Well, I don't really spend a lot of time walking around cities anymore when I am on tour. That is more Steve's thing. Dallas, however, stands out for me because I hit the grassy knoll again, then went to Vinnie Paul's strip club, The Clubhouse. It was complete insanity and chaos... Then we rolled over to Vinnie's house and I took down a poker tournament! Murder, sex and gambling in one night... Good times!
2. Wanting to know how come we missed all the fantastic videos and shit on the second half of this tour?
We have tons of stuff and will be posting it soon. I guess we all kind of decided to get lost in the tour and not spend half of it hunched over a screen. Steve documented SO much... I am certain we will get to putting it all online at some point soon.
3. I heard it was an acoustic set because you had to leave Siggy behind at the border. Is that true? How did it feel to have your plans foiled by that?
Actually, we love a challenge. Siggy's visa hadn't come through so we decided, "What the hell... Let's just rock it acoustic." One of the perks of playing with such talented and versatile musicians. There is no circumstance that they can't rise above.
4. What was the longest length of time you went without sleep on the tour and why?
I went a few days without sleep but it was way worth it. We did a show in Oakland, then I had a party at a club, flew to Miami the next morning for a party that night, then flew back the next day to play in Phoenix with Gilby's after show party followed by one of Phoenix's many strip clubs. I think it was something like two or three days with cat naps on planes.
5. Didn't you school Siggy on the whole rock star thing? At the Everett show he kept coming out and trying to hook up with a bunch of girls ... Doesn't he know that he doesn't have to try so hard when he is traveling with the masters?
HAHAHA... How do you know he wasn't doing the masters' bidding?! We call it "hazing the new guy".
6. Any live recordings from the board?
Yes! We have many live recordings from most of the shows. We are planning on compiling the best of the best and getting them online soon. In fact, they have inspired us to get into the studio again very soon.
7. Do you do your own make-up and nails on tour or do you have someone traveling with you that does it?
No way! I do the make-up and then I get a nail touch up in each city from one of Siggy's "new guy" task fulfillments.
8. Don't you feel like a sleazy old man hanging out strip clubs when you are pushing forty? Or if you don't feel like a sad old man, how about a misogynist?
HAHA... How can I be a misogynist? My manager is a woman! After reading this question even SHE said that you can eat a dick!
9. Over the years have you had any hearing loss or tinnitus caused by being so close to the amps?
Actually, no. I was JUST talking about this to my Dad last night, who came to the show in LA, and the last hearing test I got revealed that my hearing is totally intact. I guess that the stage volume is never as loud as the house.
10. When coming off a tour-afer hanging with the guys for 2 months, being in different places, meeting new and different people plus the general fun and mayhem that goes on do you ever feel a little let down?
Of course! On this last tour, we only had to be accountable for about 30 minutes a day. Reality tends to get lost out there and we love it. When we get home, the phone rings, responsibilities crop up... It can be a rude awakening!

"In fact, they have inspired us to get into the studio again very soon" -I was going to ask that very question - if you guys were planning on recording a new CD soon! I have a question about the tour, though - Do you do your own make-up and nails on tour or do you have someone traveling with you that does it?

Damn I knew you were a fucking sexy bitch!!! Does she paint your toe nails too???

Just got my hot hands on Trent's new live DVD. It was just released today...Im sick as fuck, but had to go get it. You know that'll be the best medicine I could possibly get, reliving that amazing tour.
~Did you guys take any live video footage from the tour? Any plans on doing a live dvd?
Love, Amber
Posted by: Ambersonian at February 27, 2007 03:42 PM
dave, i'm thinking a live dvd would be the shit.
Posted by: Jeff at February 27, 2007 04:14 PM
Please get that live shit online soon. I can't wait to hear some live Panic Channel music from the tour!

I'm sensing a pattern here....
Play a gig, go to a strip club, play poker, play a gig, go to a strip club, play poker......
When coming off a tour-afer hanging with the guys for 2 months, being in different places, meeting new and different people plus the general fun and mayhem that goes on do you ever feel a little let down?
Like when you get home from a REALLY fun vacation there is always that little sad feeling because you miss what you just experienced.
Also...now that you are home and it's back to business as usual, what are the up coming plans for Spread Entertainment?

Welcome back Dave.
I have a question:
Would you ever consider collaborating with someone like Trent Reznor or Jonathan Davis? Or even Chad Kroeger? Everyone is collaborating these days.
Nice to know you're having a great time.
Take care of yourself.

Welcome back, Dave!

Offshoot of the collaboration question what is your thought of Zakk Wylde. I think you two would sound really tight.

D!- Thanx for answering my Q (#2) I am so excited now! I mean I practically had a breakdown after the amazing show in Baltimore but now to see a video compilation is going to be incredible! If you want to answer another Q for me here it is (completely non tour related). Since you dig the whole make up thing (i think its Fuckin Awesome btw!!!) do you like your women to be all natural or do like it better when they are 'done up'? Im sure its an obvious answer but I am just wondering if thats what you dig and maybe you like your woman without it or what? Thanx BABY! You are the best! LOVE TO EVERYONE!!!

Hey Dave,
I assume that you have seen this, funny stuff!
http://www.livedaily.com/reviews/Live_Review_Rock_Star_Supernova_in_Phoenix-11585.html?t=97
The most surprising star of the night was former MTV VJ Steve Isaacs, who fronts Panic Channel. The former star of the touring production of "Tommy" proved to be a viable future star in his own right. Isaacs, sporting burgundy-striped hair, left his theater days behind him and brought his soaring vocals to "Teahouse of the Spirits" and "Blue Bruises" (the latter of which he dedicated to women in the audience who put up with men who are jerks).
Panic Channel guitarist Dave Navarro, who served as a host on "Rock Star Supernova," put on a performance of a different sort. As the band played, Navarro laid on his stomach and made out with a female near the front row. (Soon afterward he pointed her out to a guitar tech.)
The set ended with Robichaux joining Panic Channel for a cover of "Highway to Hell."

75 minutes until showtime. I know you are just as anxious to see me! In my own mind that is. HaHa

Had fifth row tickets to the Everett show but my better half was sick so we gave them up to her girlfriend. The girl still can't stop drooling when someone mentioned your name. Guess you made an impression.

Evening, Dave. :-) Sounds like you fellows had every bit as much fun as I could possibly have wished for y'all. :-) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all the goodies you guys collected and documented while on tour. :-) Ooh. Awesome news about you and the boys heading back into the studio, soon. Can't wait to see what's next for TPC. :-) Absolutely loved the acoustic set in Vancouver--you guys rocked it, indeed. :-) Pure pleasure from start to finish. Thanks for that. :-) Days without sleep and partying hard... Yep, sounds about like what my friends and I did in Vancouver in honor of you lads. LOL Good times and wonderful music. :-) Peace and love to you and all the peeps. :-)

I agree Dave, it is nice, beautiful in fact, to forget about computers for awhile. Vacations on a beach are good for that~ It almost feels surreal posting here again, j/k.

Dave,
Just left the LB show (early I might add, during RS) and TPC was the highlight of the night! As a man of few words, let me say this…TPC rocked and the rest, oh well. Please find a venue here in LA where TPC is the headliner, I’d rather spend my $60.00 ticket on you and not the rest of the shit (RS) I had to witness tonight.TPC needs way more then 30 mins. of stage time. I’m thinking a whole lot of us could watch TPC for a full 1 ½ hour show.
I have never left a concert while the main band was performing, I did tonight, and I was not the only one. My God, the place was less than half-full anyway to begin with.
And Dave by the way, I think the last time I was at the Long Beach Arena was for a Dead show and we were on shrooms too!

SO GREAT TO HAVAE YOU BACK!!
You said "mischief trouble and insanity" - in the last post before you opened it up for questions - you're such a tease (and we love it) so, No, couldn't even begin to guess how much... please tell (waiting here with sparkling eyes and bated breath) ... who caused the most mischeif, trouble and consequent chaos - who did what where and to whom that caused the biggest laughter and "in" jokes between you all? Funniest moment?
Love ya!

Goodmorning Dave!
When you tour, do you usually keep suck a hectic schedule? Looking at the schedule, you only had a day off every few days - how tough is that?
Always,
me

Hi Dave,
LOVED your show last night in Long Beach!! The set was awesome and you guys sounded great. You were fabulous, as usual, and smoking hot, as usual. Steve was impressive. Thanks for a great show.
We were sitting on the floor in front of Siggy and my daughter held up a "6767" sign and thinks you saw it and smiled. She wants to think that... We wanted to share the love.
I turned some women in the audience on to your website. More fans for Dave's wild world.
On the other hand, like "Kevin and Friends" said above, RS wasn't so great. Not even close to great. In fact, pretty bad. We didn't leave early but wanted to. Their stage and lighting was decent but they didn't sound cohesive. I thought Lukas sounded off on most songs. Steve-O was a distraction. Wish Tommy's bottle of Yager had gotten to our row, that might have helped. You guys saved the show for them and they should be grateful since it appeared most in the audience were there to see you.
Enjoy being home.
XOXOXO

Just a quick hello. It was great reading your blogs from the road. It's good to see you back home and on the desktop too. You didn't do bad keeping up on the road though and the videos you all shared were great. Much Peace

misogynist:
n. One who hates women.
adj. Of or characterized by a hatred of women.
Where on god's green Earth do you get the impression that Dave "hates" women? Last I checked, the women in strip clubs were there because they wanted to be, and enjoy it when men come to see them. They wouldn't be in the business if they didn't. Why is it sleazy to do so and/or why should Dave feel like a dirty old man? He might be pushing forty, but he is certainly not dead.
Perhaps someone is jealous that these women got his attention while they themselves did not.
Sincerely,
Nicole.

My fuckin ears are still ringing like hell.
Question: Over the years have you had any hearing loss or tinnitus caused by being so close to the amps?
Posted by: Linda from San Diego at February 28, 2007 11:56 AM
"and the last hearing test I got revealed that my hearing is totally intact"
I don't think the hearing tests you took when you were 10 years old counts!
(I'M KIDDING!)
This might be a question I should ask Steve because I didn't notice at the show but does he wear ear monitors?
OH and Riss's response RULES! :-)
