CFR~TPC Tour
Billy and I will be back in the studio on Saturday night for another installment of Camp Freddy Radio on Indie 103.1FM from 6pm-8pm PST. With any luck, we should have a special guest, Alektra Blue, in tonight to discuss her nomination at the upcoming AVN awards in Las Vegas. I am a presenter this year at the show and I am also throwing a big pre-awards party at Scores the night before. Work, work, work... Sadly, tonight will be my last Camp Freddy Radio for a while as The Panic Channel is going on tour for a couple of months, but as usual, we plan to do some TPC Podcasts from the bus. Speaking of TPC, thank you for all of your thoughts on the set list with Supernova. As it stands, we are toying around with the following:
Left To Lose
Teahouse
Go On
Said You'd Be
Blue Bruises
She Won't Last
Outsider/Why Cry/Bloody Mary
Night One
Awake
Of course we will be doing some other stuff at our club shows, but it's looking like there are only 3 of those scattered around. We will definitely be breaking out Listen and a cover or two for those shows. Our new bass player, Siggy, has stepped in and is rocking our songs with an energy and enthusiasm that is really making it all feel new again. As I have said before, I will miss Chris, but if anyone is gonna fill in for him, it MUST be Siggy! Plus, I get to rock with Chris at every Camp Freddy show so I am pretty much in "rad bass player heaven".

Set list sounds ace.
CRF will really miss you - podcasts will be wicked from the tour though. Do you think you will add dates as you go along?
Posted by: vixen at January 6, 2007 12:10 PM
really sorry - CFR CFR CFR - CRF??? (ouch).
Posted by: vixen at January 6, 2007 12:12 PM
how about an "open rehersal show " before the tour for us fans here in L.A.... just a thought
Posted by: marc at January 6, 2007 12:26 PM
Our new bass player?
is Chris being replaced permenantly?or just for this tour?
i'm confused.

"...if anyone is gonna fill in for him..."
Chris is just sitting this tour out due to family obligations, as Dave said in past postings, Steve L. So no worries!
Sounds like a great set list...hitting it hard right off the bat and then ending w/ a bang! Only song missing in my opinion is Loophole...that's a great song, and your guitar work on it is great DN...
Have a fantastic weekend everyone, and have a great show tonight Dave. Love, Amber :)

sounds like a great setlist, Dave.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Just can't leave Birdvaczine's comment from the last posting go without a comment. What you woke up to on the Today Show was INXS simply doing a soundcheck without JD Fortune. He came on later and gave an excellent perfomance and interview very early in the morning, even after giving 110% as usual in concert the night before. Lots of photos around after this appearance as JD looked particularly smoking hot that morning.

PlEASE, play Bloody Mary at the Orlando show. That's the song I play for everyone I've introduced you guys to. I've got a whole group going and we're taking over a couple of tables on the wings. Can't fuckin wait.

Happy New Year Dave!

will you let us know when you will do the TPC podcast? I will miss saturday nights listening to you before heading out for the night

Glad you have included as much as you can. It looks great. The only dissappointment is Bloody Mary in acoustic...that means no smoking guitar solo from you on it right?
Take care.
Luv,
D

Hey, Dave. :-) Cool, man. :-) Hope you have tons of fun, as always, with the CFR tonight. Yeah, looks like you have some more awesome Vegas gigs/appearances lined up. Hope the rehearsals for the tour are rockin'. :-) I also hope everything goes well for Chris, but I'm glad Siggy's kickin' it with the TPC boys. :-) Peace and love, bro, and sending out good thoughts to all the peeps. :-)

The line up looks great, be sure to do the pod-cast there Dave as i will miss you terribly from
Camp Freddie Radio. I am unfortuate not to live in one of the areas listed on the tour. Montreal is maybe 10hr drive from here (but I don't drive),,,lol nor would I be able to afford to fly. Too bad that the Maritime provinces are left out as usual but I get it given that we are a small - out of the way.
Though you might want to consider that if you can swing a show in Halifax than you'll reach fans from NFLD, PEI and NB in addition to NS. Easier for us to travel within the Maritimes and other bands have been successful in drawing in the crowds. Though not being a major "Canadian" city - we are also used to being excluded from tour venues.
My last major dentist appointment this morning (3hrs of torture) - whoohoo no more sedations and no more rich grubby saddist getting off on causing me pain - Dentists suck! Now all I need is to get the braces to straighten them out and than I can complete my transition into a hot babe...lol.

2 amused: I am happy 2 hear that some1 bought the PS spin 2 clean up that train wreck that morning. Believe me, when he came up on stage, it just got worse.

Oops, multitasking is bad, make that PR. And I am not saying it is bad or whatever, I was just stating what I saw.
Posted by: bv at January 6, 2007 03:00 PM
Oh poor baby...
You may have to sit with Alektra Blue and then present at the upcoming AVN awards in Las Vegas. Plus the night before you have to belabor yourself with a big pre-awards party at Scores! Maybe if you're good they'll spank you!!!

Dave, after I read u today I got a weird feeling in my stomach...I know you are going to have the time of your life on this tour but damn dude, you are going to be beyond missed @ 6 bells~ On a happier note, you haven't left yet! peace.

I'm so glad to hear you will be doing podcasts from the bus. Alektra Blue did a movie with a young man I know, Dick Delaware. I'm not sure if he will be at the awards, but if he is, maybe he will say hi for me.
In case there is a Sunday 10:
How did you come up with the creative and bizarre concept for the video promoting your new TV show? When will it premiere?

Dave, question 4 you: if Helio spons. Community Service on Indie why the fuck don't they spon. Camp Freddy Radio 2? Your show would benefit Helio so much, can not they see that? Wolf Like Us, wink.

Only 1 more week till the season premiere of 24!
Posted by: Ambersonian at January 6, 2007 07:46 PM
FUCK YEAH, 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Linda from San Diego at January 6, 2007 08:00 PM
Nice set!
Posted by: Jamie at January 6, 2007 08:54 PM
Of course "Go On" should be on the set list. It should have been on the album as well and I just have yet to understand why it wasn't. It really would've strengthened the record and should have been released as a single.

CFR was hysterical tonight, especially the dude that was asking you to describe Alektra. Totally classic radio moment!

Wat's with the chewing gum during the radio show??!!?
Posted by: poopoo at January 7, 2007 03:59 AM
Good to hear you on CFR last night.
I'm trying to think of a good tour related Sunday 10 ? but I think my questions are already answered...the tour will be tremendous, off the chain, and so much fun for you (at least it seems that way) so travel safe and enjoy every second. See you in NYC. I'm sure we'll be the first to know when you add that special exclusive club date.

Thanks Dave!

Dave,
I took the biggest crap today. I swear it was almost a foot and a half long. I guess you could say it had been sort of packed in there (hee hee).
What's the biggest poo you've ever taken?

Sorry the wording is shit but I think you'll know what I mean.
