10 Con't
6. What are you doing for NAMM?
Actually, I will be on tour when it happens this year so I will not be attending.
7. SO many rumors about TPC disbanding after the tour. What IS the status of The Panic Channel Dave?
Well, if that were the case we just wouldn't go. What would be the point? I have not heard any of those rumors but they certainly haven't come from me.
8. You obviously know folks in the adult porn industry... Have you ever been approached about the possibility of doing a porn flick.
No, I have never been approached to make a film. To be honest, I don't really watch a lot of porn, I just happen to have a lot of friends in the industry.
9. If you make another record with TPC, would you consider having Ken Andrews from Failure produce and mix the album?
Definitely! In fact, he was one of the guys I met with before doing Trust No One. I don't remember why we didn't make that record, but he is still one of my all time favorite artists and producers.
10. Since a lot of people (myself included) constantly request that you come play for their town, I was wondering how much direct input you personally have on where TPC plays?
Well, this tour is Supernova's tour and we are supporting so none. As far as all the questions, "Do you have any plans to come to...?" Trust me, if we have any plans to go anywhere we will post it.

Hey Dave,
When you go on tour in between playing, sleeping and partying do you get to see much of the state you are in?

Is it difficult to form relationships (romances and friendships) being a celebrity? How do you know if someone is with you just to hang out with 'Dave Navarro rockstar', and not Dave Navarro human being?
It is possible to make new friends with people who are not famous?

What is your favorite Acoustic Guitar? You know the one that feels like an old comfortable pair of shoes (less the stank).

Hey Dave, how long has it been since you came to the UK? I've been a fan of yours for a while now and can't afford to go out to the US to see you, do you think you will be coming over here anytime soon?
Mark
Posted by: Mark at January 9, 2007 04:41 AM
Haha! Yes Mark....
Dave, any slim chance at all that TPC might be allowed by Crapital to play some headlining dates in the UK?
Posted by: tracey aka nb at January 9, 2007 05:23 AM
I know you can pretty much play any kind of rock guitar that you want, but are there ever any songs that you try to learn that you really have to sweat over to learn? If so, what are a couple of them?

Gee I didn't get to comment on yesterdays thread about the makeup etc. haha. I was trying to convince my girlfriend sunday to give me a little Dave N. look because "I am an artist" and thought it might look cool. She did the eyebrow thing but insisted that if I were a Rocker it might go but not as an artist...I kept telling her Dave looks great in it....It didn't happen for me though....lol

I KEEP ASKING ABOUT IF / WHEN TPC ARE GONNA HIT THE UK TOO!!! So, HERE ARE MY question 6,7,8,9 and 10
6) ARE TPC PLANNING ANY UK TOUR DATES?
7) WHEN DO YOU THINK TPC WILL MAKE IT OVER THE POND?
8) ANY CHANCE OF YOU AND THE GUYS KICKING ASS OVER HERE???????
9)HEY DAVE - IS THERE, COULD THERE, POSSIBLY, MAYBE JUST ON THE VAGUE CHANCE YOU MIGHT BE PISSED OFF ENOUGH TO ANSWER THIS ANY CHANCE AT ALL OF TPC COMING OVER HERE TO SLAM IT (or slum depending on your concept of anglo-english relations / food/ buses - we do great buses) IN THE UK FOR A KICK ASS ROCKING FUCKING TPC TOUR?
10)Do you like fluffy bed socks?

Oh and another thing...I finally found the Rolling Stone mag that reviewed PC's CD and that guy must have been on an overdose of herion himself when he wrote it....My goodness this CD is my No.1 favorite for the YEAR 2006. It baffles me how someone could not see the great musicianship in PC's music???

In '97 you played a show at the Aragon here in Chicago. Smashing Pumpkins opened - Billy Corgan was wearing a neon red wig & long black dress. They were not on the bill - it was a surprise opener... and I could swear they were introduced under a fake name. What was it? I would direct this question to BC, but I can't find any evidence of him being as good with the Q & A as you are.
Incidentally... my husband had a major athsma attack that night and we had to leave when you were just a few songs in. I was so bummed out about it! Any recordings of that show so I can hear what I missed?

I'm going to see the Chili Peppers on Saturday but currently the album that i can't get out of my CD player is One Hot Minute. It's kind of a bummer that even if they do play some of those songs, they are going to have the wrong guitarist for them.
If John ever got injured and the band came to you, would you tour with the Peppers again?

Dave, since you are so good with sarcastic comebacks, what comment would you post to Janet if she had a blog?
Posted by: Linda from San Diego at January 9, 2007 08:52 AM
I'm curious about how album contracts work. Are they the same as a book contract? i.e. Does the artist get a percentage-royalty of each album sold? And if you don't mind saying, what range would the percentage royalty be? I realize it must depend on how well-known the artist is, so as an example, what kind of royalty might a freshly-signed artist get, if in fact they even get one? Is touring the only way an artist makes money?
A few questions in there for you, but all related I think.
Posted by: gemma at January 9, 2007 08:52 AM
do you still plan to sell Dave Navarro "Loads" over the internet?
Posted by: kevin at January 9, 2007 09:16 AM
1. Will we hear "Dazed and Confused" or "Highway to Hell" during the tour?
2. SO many rumors about TPC dispanding after the tour. What IS the status of The Panic Channel Dave?
3. Have you guys written any new TPC material, or are you waiting until after the tour?
4. How's Billy's father-in-law doing? Sucked that he had to leave during your last Camp Freddy show before the tour, but of course family comes first.
Best of luck on the tour Dave...knock 'em dead! See ya in Vancouver!

hey miss curious from yesterday, janet charleton has the ugliest yellow, golden rod hair i've ever seen. i mean blonde can be pretty to an extent but not to much gold like hers. well i'm a brunette, so i don't care much for blonde hair, no offense for blondes. but you can tell she colors her hair that brassy color, her natural color is probably dark blonde or brown. ANYWAYS, HAVE A GREAT DAY MR. DAVE.
Posted by: hairy balls at January 9, 2007 01:25 PM
Hey Hairy Balls...(hee hee)
Yes so she has no room to be saying shit about Dave, his grooming habits or whether he wears makeup.
She matches her hair color to a crayola crayon. And not even TRYING to be funky like most of us do.

people who are already stars in their own right don't make porn films - only wannabe stars on their way up (and who get sidetracked) make the porn. sad but true.

Hey Dave. :-) That wacky Janet... Still at it, hey? LOL *Wastes 4.3 seconds of life thinking about what a 'Dave Navarro fragrance' would be called... acidentally thinks about the laundry on the tour bus question... and, voila, 'Tour Bus' by DN! Guaranteed to keep away smarmy paparazzi and gossipy celeb bloggers. One dash of 'TB' and even the the clingiest parasites and vultures will stay far downwind.* ^^ LOL Not that you'd ever be anything short of perfectly groomed, Dave. ;-) LOL
Hope the tour rehearsals are rockin' away. :-) And I guess your Vegas gigs are coming up, fast. May you have safe travels, an awesome time and if you happen to get a few hands of poker in, hope everything comes up 'aces' for you. :-) Peace and love to you and all the peeps. :-) Happy Anniversary to the community/Asylum folks, too. :-)

"Well, if that were the case we just wouldn't go. What would be the point?"
Dave we all love you but come on. I was foolish enough to believe you dispelling rumours of your break up with carmen electra on Carson Daily. What would be the point? Money. You will sell a crap load more records while on tour with supernova as well as get your face around. It would be the best career move even if you guys weren't "friends".
I could be romanticing you a little bit but ten years ago you would of fucked off this pop star act. You know that was why we are all fans, not because you kiss ass and do reality tv but because you were honest, edgy, sexual, sensative, funny, and rebellious. You didn't give a fuck.

oops, one more....any idea what Manson is thinking leaving his wife for a little girl???? I'm a big fan, but I gotta say, bad move. Then again, it's also none of my business. you should give him some advise on how to keep the situation as private and respectable as you and Carmen have.
Posted by: SweetMelis at January 10, 2007 12:08 AM
Hi Dave thanks - at least know for certain now that you have no plans to come to the UK at the moment. Even though Sunday 10 is over (and it's been a long Sunday this week - til Wednesday) why TPC never decided to do a tour with your old friends RHCP? You don't mind being support (otherwise you wouldn't be supporting supernova right) with attachment to the Chili's you'd have so much more exposure and worldwide tour venues and many of the fans who are clamouring to see you would be able to. I just wondered how it was worked out - the who tours with who thing if it wasn't based on friendships "hey we're going on tour wanna come?" which is pretty much how it came across with you and Tommy Lee and this upcoming one. Thanks. Have a great week.x
