Yeah, bitches... Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Today I have literally received about 30 mass texts from people who must have my number programmed in their phones. I was going to send one myself to everyone in my phone, but it occurred to me that I probably shouldn't remind certain people that I exist. You know, I send the "Happy Thanksgiving" blast and then hear back from people I haven't spoken to in years. "Hey man! What's up? How you been?" It could turn into an all day event. I could do the "Do not reply... This is just another mass text that went out to everybody in my phone." It would be a lot more honest than the ones I usually send: "Hey baby... Just thinking about you... Miss you!" The winning mass text of the day goes to Tommy who writes, "If the Indians would have killed a cat instead of a turkey, we'd all be eating pussy for dinner." I know this could fall into the category of mass texts, but here it goes anyway... HAPPY THANKSGIVING FAMILY!!!! I hope you all have a beautiful day!

Dude, the mass text thing on Thanksgiving is so weird to me. It's clearly a new phenomenom. Today I woke up to like 5 texts, and have gotten a few more...some from people that I haven't talked to (on purpose) for ages. I was like, huh...maybe they sent this to me on accident. Then I realized it was just a mass text, which in my opinion kind of defeats the purpose of giving thanks. I would rather write the handful of people I am actually thankful for and say something specific to them.

Mass Holiday Texts are totally the new Sparkle Tags.

Hey Dave and family,

The food has been put away. Everyone has fallen into carb-induced comas. I should be exhausted, but for some reason I have this strange desire to start decorating for Christmas. Or perhaps I should get to bed and sleep so I can get out with the other crazy people in the morning for "black friday"!! Haven't done that in years. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!!

Question: Regarding the Panic Channel's "She Won't Last". The end of it the lyrics blur (to my ear) into "now I'm no better" as opposed to "now I know better". Is that just me or my subconscious relating a leetle too much to this "she" in the song? I go thru my own shit as being the "she", (and I am a grrl), dude. Of course , you can only speak about your own subconscious, but I appreciate the intensity of the lyrics and the guitar solo that "sings" it.

I was sick as a dog on Thanksgiving, so it wasn't happy, especially since I was unable to spend it with my son. One good thing is I lost, instead of gained, a few pounds!
