Oh yeah, forgot...

November 25 Camp Freddie podcast doesn't appear to be available on iTunes... Can you put it up? I like to burn them to CD and listen in my car CD player.

Thanks! ;-)

BTW - itunes lists it...but the file only includes the 15 second George Bushism............imagine my disappointment.

The process of failure is already underway, as predicted by many.

Rock Star Superflop
blabbermouth.net reports: ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA - the band featuring Tommy Lee (MÖTLEY CRÜE), Jason Newsted (VOIVOD, ex-METALLICA) and Gilby Clarke (ex-GUNS N' ROSES) and vocalist Lukas Rossi - sold less than 17,000 copies of its self-titled debut to land at No. 101 on next week's chart.

I have a burning question only it isn't Sunday yet and there's no way it will even stand a remote whisper of a chance of getting answered is there? It's one of those questions that REALLY burns, you know? Like you can't get mentally past it and all points of the pentagram focus on it until it spills out into the ether. Although in this case, more of an explosion. Sunday Bloody Sunday. Thanks Bono et al. How expressive. Still not Sunday.
DAVE SO GLAD the site maintenance is done and I can at least share the fact I've been squealing all day over this.
Really annoying.
Really.

People who are invading other peoples' privacy in order to make a living need to have their own privacy invaded. Hire a PI and splash all of their embarassing shit all over the internet. That would rock. Do it, Dave. Start a trend. I'm behind you.

Hi, Dave. I am a guitar player and I´m looking for a marshall valves amp. Someone on the web sells an "lm 6100 30th anniversary" and it´s impossible to me to probe it because its so far. I know you love the Jcm 900 ones, but
can you please tell me anything about this modell?.

thank you very much, Dave!

been a REALLY long time since i've thrown myself on this wall...but i keep up with the blogs.

an early question for the next batch of sunday 10 dave :-)

I'm a rabid Project Runway fan, and in an interview, Jeffrey Sebelia, the winner (and my favorite on the show, soooo glad he one!!) said that you and he have been friends since you guys were teenagers. can you verify this? and are you guys still friends? i'm interested in knowing :-) lol

can't wait to d/l the camp freddy xmas song...that show in NYC back in 2004 was still one of the best concerts i've been to (along side Depeche Mode)

peace love and coconuts

Aww... poor Lukas. I hope he moves on soon.

I wonder how Ryan is doing?

Posted by: Dana at November 30, 2006 05:49 PM

Hi everyone!!!

Emily, Dave has mentioned that he is friends with Jeffrey Sebelia. He's designed some stuff for him I think (who knows, I could have made that last part up! it's been a long week!)I also think Jeffrey used to be in a band as well, so that might be how they know each other, through musak!!!
Happy weekend all!!! Today is my Friday!!

Hi SweetMelis, long time no see, I've missed you!

I voted for Artist of the Month, and I was surprised to see Seven Stitches a distant third. I thought her band was by far the best, I even added them as a myspace friend.

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at November 30, 2006 07:07 PM

I didn't like Seven Stitches so much. It sounds too... canned, and slick for lack of a better description.

Personally, I'm wondering why Xu Xu Fang is in last place. Maybe it was just my mood, but I really liked their chillout vibe. There's a lot going on in their music. They should have posted more songs. Reminds of Lou Reed a little. If they came to town, I'd definately check it out.

I also liked Aerodrone, but found it kind of boring after the second song. And they sound way too much like The Killers to me. I'd rather hear something a little different.

Evening, Dave. :-) Okay, I listened and voted. If all goes well, does this mean we'll finally be rid of Bush? ...Oh, it wasn't a Presidential vote? And I'm Canadian, anyway? Well, can't bust a gal for *tryin'.* ;-P Rock on and peace to the peeps--hope everyone is having a safe, fabulous night. :-)

Sure, Britney's a ho, but worse than that, she and her record company almost single-handedly ruined American music by pumping out plastic crap marketed to gullible prepubescent girls and boys. THAT is the definition of a ho. How many talented unsigned bands were deprived of a meaningful chance to be heard because of her, 98 Degrees and all that other crap? I hate to think about it because it makes me sick. The only thing that makes me feel better is seeing all the Britney CDs in the used bins. Now let me get off my soapbox...

Mr. Navarro,
Rockstar was super duper. I have a few suggestions for next season.
one of the worst episodes was when poor Gilby helped the contestants write songs and they showed up with half baked, uncompleted songs. Gilby is too sweet. You need to find someone much, much meaner. Someone who will show them the door and the line of people waiting - maybe someone like Alice Cooper. Maybe have a trap door and shoot the contestant into the street and replace them with another contestant if they are not ready. I think this would make great tv.
Also, require all contestants to walk through a local Long's drug store and listen to the music playing in the background. I believe Behind Blue Eyes is regularly played in most stores and even elevators...I think after Gary Newman. Oh and I think ozzy said that there were no unsingable songs. So if you are asked to sing disco duck - get quacking. That was a big hit.

Dave,

I'm late...
Been listening sporadically to SRL...I love it.
The new Suave Porn disc kinda sucks.Lukas is mixed too low.I can't be bothered to see who produced this album but he ain't no Glynn Johns.

I listened to it 3 or 4 times and then said fuck me what is wrong? Went back and listened to Cleavage, assuming I was buying into the the TV hype and was wrong about Rossi. Not the case.Cleavage is a much better "recorded" band than Supernova.Much,much...much better.I sincerely hope Lukas and Tommy can straighten this shit out.

What I like about the TV show is that Fortune deserved to win and he did.So did Rossi. You can blame the labels all you want and I really do.But the best men did win(easily the best men as proved by Fortune's unexpectedly great UK reviwes). If you want the artist to succeed then you need to bring them to Spraed Radio Live !!!

It's rather quiet tonight Dave, what are you up to? I know, Christmas shopping, more stocking stuffers! WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR STOCKING?

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at December 1, 2006 10:27 PM

Well that was supposed to be like "What's in you wallet?", but I screwed it up. I imagine you must carry them in your wallet in case of emergency? You know, like motion sickness!

Posted by: Linda from San Diego at December 1, 2006 10:37 PM

Linda,

Night after night, weekend after weekend, you post on here. Endless drivel, endless dreck.

There is a whole big world going on right now, just outside your door. Do yourself a favor... Do us a favor... Turn off your computer for 48 and at least try to engage some bit of the world that doesn't involve DN, LR or some other rockerstar.

Posted by: Free Advice at December 2, 2006 12:22 AM

Posted by: jezebel at December 2, 2006 12:37 AM

Have to agree with jezzi... If you are so concerned about someone wasting their time of the internet, maybe you should look into your own lifestyle first. Those with glass houses, babe, should NOT throw stones.

Posted by: isis at December 2, 2006 01:31 AM

Last night I dreamt that I met THE TODD!! Hahaha insane in my dream he looked like the guy from LOST, Hurley's imaginary bald friend from the mental hospital. Wowzers

Posted by: Max Danieli at December 2, 2006 03:38 AM

That phrase about glass houses always makes me laugh. You know how bad it would suck to live in a glass house? I mean, you'd get a good year-round tan, but other than that, it would suck. And at some point you'd want to take a dump without everyone being able to see you.

"Sure, Britney's a ho."

Really? Like when she waited to have sex before marriage all those years, but finally gave into Justin bring'n sexy back? Please. She is no ho, whore, or even a floozy. How fucking ignorant. I have always put Britney's work and music down online ever since '99, but I could never call her a ho. It sort of reminds me of when my first (yes, FIRST b/f sex partner everything) bf who happened to be an abusive violent dick called me a whore. Yeah, nice. Wild? Crazy? Fun? True that, but whore, or excuse me, Ho? Not a chance. Britney was an innocent young child thrown into something we will never ever get.....so don't even try.
