I caught your live show last night for, like, half an hour and then you called up peeps and decided to go have dinner then party. ~lol~ Darn it, I always miss it. :) Still, happy to have a new 'loop' to listen to and it's Friday so it's a happy, happy day regardless. (Good lord, am I gushing? That is SO undignified! *winx*) Though just for the sake of stroking your ego a tad (considering your ego is all that I can reach through cyberspace *ahem*), I would like to state that Spread Radio Live is the ONLY radio show/station I listen to, and it's the FIRST one I've listened to since Alaska stopped picking up Dr. Demento in the mid-1980s. I've taken to using my 1988 Marshall JCM-800 with various off-axis mics for rhythm beds, and overdubbing the icing with a little Pod-Xt... not bad, but I'm pretty jealous of that slicing top end and definition that you get during your heavier passages (Said You'd Be)... final two cents; for my money the one track that transcends the album is "She Won't Last" ... fucking majestic and dark, with a very smart descending chorus pattern.
Is it acceptable to post a "gear" type query like this?

I remember going to see Judas Priest many years ago, in Ottawa Canada, and during one particular/extended guitar solo, co-guitarist Glenn Tipton actually drooled all over his guitar and picking hand... eyes closed.

I don't know if you're referring to the lady screaming video of last night? Also don't know if I should be the one explaining, since I am associated with the bad apples, but;
When Rock Star Supernova was at its televised peak, and people were becoming passionate about who they wanted to win, the amount of visitors to this blog went way up... eventually a game started called "give Gilby Clarke a new nickname"... this carried over into other "games" like "rename the band", when it was decided in a court of law that they had to make a change... all if this fed upon itself and a small group of bloggers started to post
funny/vulgar (it's all subjective) comments about Lukas Rossi etc... this became a back and forth battle field and the more outspoken/vulgar (again, subjective) posters took to calling themselves members of the dark side.
People who have been here since the beginning began to object to what seemed a mockery of this site, which is a point not to be argued, and the battle field agenda changed. The video in question is proof positive that Dave does keep an eye on things and is aware of what goes on here... it is up to each individual to figure out whether the "screaming banshee" is a slapdown to the "darksiders" or a comforting support to the old-school 67ers, and yo will see a lot of people claiming "victory" etc.
More than likely, it's Dave saying "enough already", and dismissing the topic, which would explain the accompanying comments thread being shut down rather quickly.

I got to SRL another day sort of by accident and loved it - it was the day you spoke to Storm Large. Not only the music was god but also it was hilarious when someone complained about a song that you played and you just -kindly- informed whose the show was. Brilliant - I became a fan.
I think that a good interview depends mostly on the interviewer than on the person being interviewed - so let's hear what the video girl has to say!
I also like the idea of interviewing random people just for the challenge of finding out what is special, weird, funny, etc about them in a live show - and maybe you should interview your habitués here for a change - regardless not being around for a long time, I might volunteer to be the first one, but that would imply international calls rate, hahahaha.

I just saw it last night with a friend and it was definitely creative, artsy, kooky as well as comedic at times. It smoothly segues from dream sequences to reality and back throughout the movie making it very watchable without being messy (which does happen with art movies like this).
