Camp Freddy Radio Tonight!
Tonight is an all new Camp Freddy Radio on Indie 103.1FM from 6-8pm. We will have the Podcast up soon after the show. Tonight we have two call-ins: Perez Hilton, the only celeb gossip writer I support, and the chick I met the other night from Life & Style. Let's see if she allows me to ask her the tough questions of the day. "But Dave... Aren't you just perpetuating the attention on this kind of journalism?" Perhaps, but at the same time, I like the fact that I have the ability to turn the tables a bit. There is an old saying in the radio business. "Don't fuck with people who have radio shows!" Actually, it's not an old saying... I have just coined the adage. I'm sure you can tell I have a lot of time on my hands lately. I usually don't micromanage all this stuff, but at the end of the day, it all means nothing and it's just fun and entertaining like a sit-com or a Schwarzenegger movie. Check out this news item from The Daily News:
Dave Navarro must not read the gossip columns, or he'd know he was supposed to be dating a young lady by the name of Susan Howard. Navarro has been hanging out with one of the show's sexy contestants, the elaborately named Storm Susan Large. They were looking very cozy at the Stuff Style Awards party in L.A. last week. "Dave was rubbing Storm's back, and they snuggled before leaving together."
A. Storm is my homey! I make it a rule to not date anyone two feet taller than me! (That cuts out like 50% of ALL women... HAHAHAHAHA!)
B. A simple fact check would have revealed that the other woman in question is not named "Susan"!
You got to love it though! It's funny shit! Don't worry, The Panic Channel starts up rehearsals on Monday for a few dates in October. I'll have bigger fish to fry than responding to every one of these things. However, for the time being... It is kind of fun. Since I am in the responding mood, I can start taking another batch of Sunday 10 Questions!
"Go On" a fan favorite B-Side from the "(ONe)" CD is available NOW as a separate single from iTunes.

Tom's House/Area
Last night I went to Tom Green's house and did his Internet TV show. What an amazing set up that guy has over there. His entire home is literally a broadcasting network, with lights, cameras, wires and computers all over the place as well as a dish on the roof. Tom may very well be my new modern hero as he has taken the whole digital underground a step further in terms of creating his own outlet that allows people the freedom to be who they are and discuss whatever they want uncensored and commercial free. We took calls and pretty much just yapped for about an hour. Our episode is currently in streaming rotation on Tom Green's website. He does a show just about every night around 8:00pm PST with a pretty amazing guest list.
Later in the evening, I went to the grand opening of my friend, Brent Bolthouse's new club, Area in Hollywood. It was awesome and we had a killer time. Lately, I have been avoiding "press lines" as the press has been so up my ass, but in this case, I wanted to walk it to support my friend and a rad new establishment. If you are ever in Hollywood, go check out Area on La Cienega right above Melrose. It is a huge space with a really sexy modern interior and an amazing sound system. Anyway, once I got past all the photographers and "Extra" style interviews there were a couple of reporters with handheld audio recorders. I asked who they were with. "In Touch." "OK." "US Weekly." "Life and Style." Life and Style? I looked at her and said, "Are you kidding me? You guys are fuckin scumbags! The lowest form of bottom feeders! You know what? I'm going to talk to these other outlets just to piss you guys off." (I know, this isn't a big deal, but it is fun to talk about.) Anyway, it turns out that the reporter is a freelancer and I talked to her for a few minutes explaining my problem with her outlet. She ended up being very cool and I got her number and plan on calling her from Camp Freddy Radio tomorrow night. Turn the tables a bit if you will. Let's see if we can get anything out of her about how this publication works... Or doesn't! The cool thing for me is that most people that interface with these rags are actors and they have appearances to keep up and relationships to protect. Me? I somehow slipped in there with my high profile marriage and the TV show. The bottom line? I don't give a fuck! Let's go to war, son!

Teahouse of the Spirits
Yeah it's been a minute! I have been laying low for a few days and letting a lot of stuff just die down. This Thursday, I will be appearing on Tom Green's Internet program. The show begins around 8:00pm PST on his site. We will be discussing his new Internet TV station, Spread Radio Live and the current un-Godly state of the media. Don't worry, we will slip some fun in there too! Speaking of the media, my old friends at L&S are at it again as is evident in this bit of tabloid fodder:
"Another pair who are reported to have been getting friendly are Paris Hilton and Dave Navarro, Life & Style Weekly reports."
At this point they should just illustrate the thing and make it a comic book.
OLDSCHOOL asked me to post the following and seeing as it is such a great cause, I am all over it:
The Christopher Lee Smith Memorial Fund For Addiction
PO Box 178
Scottdale, GA 30079
The funds' stated purpose is to assist people financially with initial program placement for those that can't afford it while they sorting out their chemical dependencies through various drug treatment facilities.

New CFR
Tonight is an all new Camp Freddy Radio on Indie 103.1FM from 6-8pm. We will have the Podcast up soon after the show. Tonight, we will be getting Tom Green on the phone for SURE this time! In fact, not only will we be discussing his Online TV Network, but we will be promoting my own appearance on his show, next Thursday night. Also, I found the video girl! I will try to get her on the phone too. I intend on commissioning her work for something else. Anyone with the MBV and X album covers hanging in her room is OK in my book!
I have been going out a lot lately. It could be getting old at this point. Last night I found myself in that realm that I like to call the desperate hours. You know, after 2am, driving around with a car full of people looking for the next thing. That weird "chasing the fun" when there is no fun time of night. After an evening of attending a NYLON party at The Chateau, a Hollywood bar called HYDE and another spot called Les Deaux, we found ourselves at an "after hours" thing. I guess in some ways, chasing the fun was all part of the fun. The fun was in the chasing of the destination, even though there was no destination!

Radio and Camp Freddy
So a day or so ago I had Lukas Rossi on Spread Radio Live for a few minutes. The show is somewhere up in rotation for rebroadcast and will loop until I go live again. By the way, a brief explanation to our new friends about all the radio talk. Spread Radio Live is my own Internet D.I.Y. radio station that I do from home. It is uncensored, commercial free and I play whatever the fuck I want! Camp Freddy Radio is a weekly FM radio show I do with my Camp Freddy partner, Billy Morrison, on Indie 103.1FM Saturdays from 6pm-8pm PST. There is a CFR simulcast online as well. Tomorrow night Billy and I will be broadcasting CFR again on Indie 103.1FM. I usually upload Podcasts of the show following the live broadcasts, minus the music as federal laws prohibit Podcasting music that hasn't been "cleared".
Anyone know how to get in touch with that little chick from the Camp Freddy Surrender video? I want to call her from the station tomorrow night. The video itself can be found here.
Last night, at an US Weekly event, Carmen was named one of US Weekly's 15 Fresh Faces of 2006! See? Not ALL tabs are evil! US also champions the Head To Hollywood Charity. Congratulations Carmen!

New SRL
HAHAHAHA! Well, at least this time they got it right! "Chanel son! That's how I roll!!!" This is an example of how they catch you off guard. I was just going to the gym that day. It almost looks like that famous image of Bigfoot from the 70's! (See inset) Anyway, last night I went in to the studio and did some guitar work on Storm Large's "Ladylike". The track sounds great and should be up on iTunes within a week or two. Later today I will more than likely be doing another Spread Radio Live. I have been getting complaints that I have been slacking on MySpace bulletin alerts when I go live, so today, I will be sure to hook it up. OK. Nap time. I will be updating this post when I get up. I just had to open a new thread to keep track of all of your comments.

Lukas, Toby, SRL & Media
Last night I went out to the Dragonfly to see The Spazmatics, an amazing cover band that has a residency there and perform every Sunday night. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend checking it out. While I was out, I ran into Lukas Rossi and Toby Rand. I know, I know... I said we were all done with Rockstar stuff, but I changed my mind. Actually, I guess that it isn't a Rockstar thing anymore, I simply ran into some fellow musicians. Anyway, I spoke to Lukas and he has agreed to join us on Spread Radio Live this week. I will for sure let you know ahead of time when that will be. It was kind of bizarre seeing those guys out in the real world as I have only seen them on set. Now I am certain that not hanging out with them over the course of the season was the right call. They are both so nice that it would have been impossible for me to give them any criticism had I gotten to know them. It was fun to just hang as fellow artists and true music fans.
More Fun With The Media:
Life & Style are now officially the new Kings of the Bottom feeders. They make Star and The Inquirer look like wings in the Library of Congress. L & S has stated that I am homeless and heartbroken after being kicked out of someone's home (whom I never dated or lived with). As you know, I don't like to respond to this stuff, but my real issue with them isn't the story or my denial, it's the fact that they called for a comment and chose not to run it because it made the story less dramatic and sensational. What did they think I was going to do? Confirm? When they asked for my response, I informed them that not only have I never dated the woman in question, but I have never even been to her home, let alone lived there. I am also very much housed, living in a comfortable residence situated in the heart of fabulous Hollywood, CA. In true L & S form, they chose to go with the "source", instead of the facts that came directly from the center of their story... Me. Is it worth my attention? No, not at all... But it sure is fun! HAHA! Plus, I like to give you, the reader, an inside look at how this shit goes down. (It also doesn't suck that I get to trash L & S in the process!)

Teahouse & Indie 103.1FM
There is an all new video from The Panic Channel on Yahoo Music for the track, Teahouse of the Spirits. It was shot while we were out on tour last Spring. The live footage is primarily from New York and LA with some rehearsal space stuff as well. Also, tomorrow night, from 6pm-8pm PST, I will be returning to Camp Freddy Radio with my partner Billy Morrison on Indie 103.1FM. Click the CFR link to catch the live online stream. Since I never got Tom Green on Spread Radio Live today, I will be calling him from Indie tomorrow night. In Tom's defense, I never told him what time I would call, I just called. SRL is a lot less structured than CFR. At least Tom has an indication as to when I will be going live tomorrow.

Taking It Back
Today I will be doing an all new Spread Radio Live show from my house. I will be talking to Tom Green, who I met last night at the taping for Carson Daly with The Panic Channel. Go check out his site! Tom, as it turns out, is a man after my own heart. He has turned his home into an Internet Television Station and does live broadcasts almost daily, much like the plan I have for the new loft I have purchased. Spread Entertainment Inc. will be moving into the new space in January where we will continue our plans for taking it all back. Tom gets it. We have the greatest tool of communication at our disposal here. It is up to us to decide what it is we see, hear and learn about. As I have said many times before, it feels that the more options we have in terms of outlets (satellite, magazines, radio, television), the less information and entertainment choices are made available. For instance, more people have seen the Lindsay Lohan vagina picture than know about what's going on with the War On Terror. HAHAHAHA... Yeah, that's a bold statement and it may not even be accurate, but in today's climate, it sure appears that way. More people have sent me that picture than have sent me the link to watch the Loose Change video. (The information in that film is up for debate, but I am just citing it as an example.) I know, Lindsay is just random entertainment news and you know I am certainly not hyper-political. The point is, that we now have the ability to control our own avenues of entertainment and information without a corporate slant or filter. Time to use it. Getting back to entertainment, Spread Radio Live will be starting up a new Indie Artist of the Month contest in October. If it feels like there is a shortage of great music coming out these days, it's not because the artistry doesn't exist, it's because the industry has failed to evolve with the times and is now stuck with throwing all their money at whatever they think is a sure thing. If a band doesn't work out financially for a label in a week or two, it gets swept under the rug. The result is that a lot of bands don't even get a chance to be in a position of being swept. Look at OK GO. It wasn't until they did a viral video clip on their own that they got any attention. Good for those guys! Taking it back.

"Come On In Guys!"
Well, it's finally over... Lukas won! Good for him! I am looking forward to the tour with those guys in January and February. I know that it's a little early to be talking about this for the West, but whatever... If you are reading this blog at all, you already know. Looks like this is the last time I will be mentioning this show until the tour, so I'd just like to say to those who made this their temporary home or hotel for the season, thank you for your comments, your support, your hating, for all of it. It's been fun! Feel free to check in anytime. I gotta tell you... I think they made a great choice. You know, for me, it was always between Lukas and Dilana. I would have been happy with either, even though what I think is irrelevant. Here is the thing. If the band had chosen someone I didn't like, I would have been cool with that too. I mean... It's their band. I support the guys no matter what. They are, however, my friends, so I suppose it's easier to support my friends. I guess what I'm getting at is that things are just different now. I am amazed at how angry and upset people get these days when artists make choices that they don't agree with. Put it this way, when Robert Plant did "Tall Cool One", I didn't love it, but I remained a fan of his. I certainly didn't start talking shit about him. I guess I look at artists that bring my life joy and entertainment, whether I know them or not, as friends to an extent. Plus, all the contestants on this show got an amazing opportunity. To do what they love in front of millions twice a week and for some, perform their original works of music! Plus, a handful of them will be touring with all of us in the New Year. Not a bad deal. I know, people get connected to the artists that touch them and when they don't get what the fans want for them it can hurt. I get that, so go ahead and rant if it makes you feel better. I don't mind. That is what this site is for. For you. I, on the other hand, am going to go and hang with the guys, Lukas and the rest of the contestants at our wrap party. Oh yeah... Damn, I'm gonna have to ask that Janet Charlton for some lotto numbers! She IS good! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

The Tuesday Show
Tonight is our second to last Rockstar episode... Tomorrow is the finale and then that's it. This blog goes back to the way it was, I focus on music (after a week's vacation somewhere), the photo exhibit, radio, The Product and touring. Tonight on the show, we hear the remaining four do a cover and their originals again. Also, the winner of the online vote for a return performance comes back to do a song. Pretty basic stuff. There is one bit of online speculation that is kind of fun to address, if nothing else. Once again it comes from Janet Charlton: "Judging by his past badmouthing of this site, Dave Navarro isn't going to like the following piece of information ONE BIT. Despite Dave's protestations, readers of this site already KNOW who the winner of Rockstar Supernova will be. We have another tidbit of incriminating evidence to reveal: Promotional photos have ALREADY BEEN TAKEN of the winner with his new band!" Oh, Janet... I never bad mouthed your site! However, when gossip bloggers become pseudo online celebs, it's only obvious that they will wake up one morning in a glass house. I will give Janet this... She does have pictures of herself on her site and contact info. If a gossip columnist is willing to be that available, then they are in my book, a notch above all the others. In fact, I think that entertainment critics should be obligated to have their picture and a list of their top 5 favorite films, book and records made available. That way, we can decide if we even give a fuck where they are coming from. Anyway, back to the point. Janet says promotional pictures have been taken. In this digital age where we can crank out pictures in about 30 seconds and have them up and online in about 10, why would anyone even bother going through a charade such as that? In fact, what would be the point in scamming the public anyway? The Supernova guys have the final word either way. They can choose, three months ago or tomorrow and have the exact same outcome. Someone gets eliminated tomorrow and then we will have a final three, one of which Supernova chooses as their singer. At this point, I am over all the gossip, conspiracy and rumor surrounding the show. It's just fun for me to watch and comment on from time to time. Think what you want to think. You think it's fixed? Fine. You think certain contestants were misrepresented? OK. Awesome! After tonight's episode, my ON AIR job is pretty much done. No more comments or critiquing to do. Tomorrow, I just kick it on the couch, watch it unfold just like the viewers at home and check out Supernova do some songs with their new singer. As far as speculations go, I still stand behind where I was a few days ago. I think that Lukas and Dilana have the best shots at winning this thing. I think they are both unique and edgy with killer voices and could both do the job extremely well. Even though Toby and Magni are arguably better singers in some ways, there are certain elements that I think they lack in order to fill the position. Frankly, to me, they are just less compelling to watch on stage. The good news is all of them are more than likely going to be on the tour in some capacity... Either as Supernova's lead singer or performing with the House Band.

Making It Work For KHZ
So as I said on Spread Radio Live the other night, KHZ's Raiana came into town and I took her and her friend to dinner. Raiana is of course, the lead singer of KHZ, SRL's Indie Artist of the Month winner as a result of the listener vote! She also happens to be our Official Spread Radio Live girl. We got swarmed by paparazzi cameras after dinner and they made this assumption. Seldom do I like to respond to tabloid journalism, but in this case, I can use their mistakes as an opportunity to promote both Spread Radio Live and an awesome band like KHZ. Check out the KHZ site or their MySpace Page. If you can't make the tabloids work with you, you may as well make them work for you.

Last Sunday and Updates
(This is the custom Dean Guitar I did that is now on tour with The Family Values Tour as part of the Tribute To Dimebag Darrell.) Oh yes... Second to last taping. Then, on Wednesday, we will have a complete Supernova and my life will go back to normal for a while. I don't have much to say regarding Supernova or the show anymore. The whole thing is kind of autopilot and the cards will fall where they will. I think the taping tomorrow will be similar to last week with performances and feedback, but at the end of the day, it's all about the viewer vote and the collective SN decision. The Panic Channel is super excited about going out with the new band in January and February, but we are currently putting together a smaller tour that should take off around October 20th. More details on that as they come in. Two TPC updates for the week. We are now on the DirecTV Free Channel show, CD USA this week. The thing runs all the time. Also, on Thursday night, we will be performing on Last Call With Carson Daly. Speaking of late night chat shows, you can catch a cool streaming version of Left To Lose on Jimmy Kimmel's Pontiac Garage. It's the second song we did on the show that never aired.

A Whole Day Off?
(Thanx to Wendybird for the picture.) A whole day off! Wow! What to do? Gym, nap, movies? All of the above? First of all, let me start by saying that the charity show that The Panic Channel played at The Dragonfly was a lot of fun. I spoke to Anthony, the club's owner, and he told me that the event raised a lot of money for The Head To Hollywood organization. Thanx to The Suicide Girls, Sarah Silverman, Anthony, Ken Baker at US Weekly (the lesser of all the tabloid evils) and everyone who attended. Ken and Carmen are the cofounders of Head To Hollywood. It is good to see that not everyone in the tabloid world is out for blood and does something to give back. Good on ya, Ken! I have sworn off talking to tabloids ever again, but in light of Ken and Carmen's efforts, I will only talk to US in the future. Well, them and Perez. Perez is at least funny as hell and a little tongue in cheek. Plus, all the tabs go to him first anyway for their stories. He is usually actually at the things he is talking about and has the balls to run his own pictures and not hide behind a keyboard. I can respect that. Anyway, back to the show. We only played five songs acoustically but it was fun for us as we have never done an acoustic set before. My favorite was the acoustic Teahouse. Anyone tape it? Yesterday, we did a couple of songs on CD USA, a satellite music program on DirecTV. I'll have more info as to when that airs and I will post it soon. Interviews and performance... We did Teahouse and Left To Lose.
Tonight, between 7:00pm and 7:30pm PST, there is a good chance I will be talking to Storm Large on Spread Radio Live. Once I get confirmation, I will let you know for sure. Later today, KHZ's Raiana comes into town. I am going to try and grab some dinner or something with her so maybe I can get her on the show too.
So, it is Lukas, Toby, Dilana and Magni left on the show. Only two more tapings! Who will it be? Wow. Now that The Panic Channel is going out with Supernova, I all of a sudden have an invested interest. HAHAHA. NOW they tell me! Well, I don't have a say either way, so I guess it won't hurt for me to give my thoughts, but I'll wait on that. At this point I'd rather watch the show on Sunday (Tuesday) and see what the final four bring us before I make my final assessment. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Toby has a great voice that is solid, but he doesn't have the edge factor I would like to see. Lukas has a lot of edge, but vocally, I am not sure I would love hearing him for a whole two hour show. Magni is also way solid as a singer, but I worry about his command of the stage in terms of staying compelling for a whole set. Dilana has the voice and the edge down, but I worry that she lets the random temporary stuff effect her too much. Sure, she went through a tough time, but all entertainers do. She seems a little on 'tilt' these days. If she is going to let what people say effect her so deeply, I will definitely recommend that she doesn't start her own blog like this one! HAHAHAHA.

Elimination Time
Tonight is going to be a heavy one. All five remaining singers have a strong fan base so there is going to be crazy digital outcry all across the Internet no matter who goes home. Last night was a lot of fun playing with Storm, and I meant what I said about her original. It was incredible! I like how I have received comments about keeping my opinions to myself, and not making grand statements about performances. Um... Hello? That is pretty much my job description on the live studio audience show! As for my projections here, they are simply elaborations on my thoughts in the studio, with a few exceptions. Either way, if you don't like it, there are plenty of other boards and blogs to hang in. Tonight? I really don't know. I do know that we hear a new Supernova song and that should tell a lot because they will be playing with a new performer. We will have heard 4 out of 5 contestants with the band and our ability to visualize the potential outcome will be a lot easier. At the end of the show last night, the bottom three were, Dilana, Storm and Magni. Damn! It may have changed since then, but of those three... Who to send home? For me, I'd have to say Magni. I definitely like him a lot, but now we are down to such a tough choice and in my opinion, I prefer the edge that Dilana and Storm have over Magni's somewhat perfected style. He is almost too on point at all times, which is amazing, but I like to see people get a little dirty and raw from time to time. Hey, that's just me. As I said, the final bottom three may have changed since last night. I tried to not get attached to these contestants this season, but after seeing the same faces for ten weeks, I can't help not wanting to see any of them go. I do not envy the decision Supernova has to make. The good news, is that they announced last night that the House Band is opening for Supernova and that they will be bringing along some of the runners up. Maybe it'll all work out for everybody in one way or another.

Various Updates
Tomorrow night at The Dragonfly in Hollywood, The Panic Channel is doing a 5 song acoustic set in support of Head To Hollywood, a non-profit program that provides comfort and escape to survivors of cancerous and non-cancerous brain tumors. The event will also feature The Suicide Girls and Sarah Silverman. If you are in the LA area, come check it out. Tickets are still available and it is for a great cause that is close to my heart on many levels. In fact, Carmen is a co-founder of the program along with Ken Baker.
In other news, my cover band, Camp Freddy, has just released a version of Cheap Trick's Surrender on iTunes. The track features Billy Morrison, Scott Weiland, Matt Sorum, Chris Chaney and yours truly. My understanding is that this is a limited release that will be available for two weeks. Why? I have no idea. The track is part of a soundtrack for the film, Employee of the Month.

Support Our Troops!!!
We got this e-mail over at Spread Radio Live:
"Dave,
Dude thanks for doing what you do. Our office is under a bunch of Army
soldiers who were injured in current operations. A shout out from you would
make some of their days. If you are ever in Germany please take some time
to stop by and say hi to some of the finest Americans (and rockers) you will
ever meet. Cher stopped by a few weeks ago and it really lifted their
spirits and some of their spirits really need lifted. Anything you do would
be deeply appreciated. Peace.
My sincere thanks for the quick reply. A few of us just found out about the
web radio station and it is cool as hell. We are spreading the word. We are
in Kaiserslautern Germany-Kleber Army Kaserne, that is the belt between
Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center (the place on the news where the
severely wounded end up) and Ramstein Air Force base. We are nine hours
ahead of you guys. So 7 pm is 4 am for us. Also government computers are
famous for blocking streaming feeds so generally we download what we can off

The Tuesday Show
Tuesday is going to be a hell of a show. Everyone brought something special to their performances. You all know I have my favorites, but to be honest, at this point I don't have a clue as to who is going to win this thing. Luckily, we will see yet another contestant up there with Supernova on Wednesday. We know what Dilana, Lukas and Toby feel like up there with those guys, but I'd like to see Storm and Magni up there too. It only seems like the fair way to gauge at this level. Everybody has proven that they can do cover songs really well. Song writing? Well, that is another issue entirely. There are five originals on the Tuesday show in addition to five covers. Basically, they do a two song set each. Although it is not my job to critique their song writing skills, I would have to say that there are some that are good, and some that are just kind of... "Eh." I'll tell you this. No matter how good or bad a song is, The House Band makes them sound amazing, sonically. I mean, those guys are so damn good that they can take anything and make it sound rad. You guys be the judges of the originals. I was unimpressed with one in particular, impressed with others and actually blown away by one. All I can say without giving too much away is that as much as I liked Ryan, Supernova may have known what they were doing all along on the last elimination show. So, you have a 50/50 shot and figuring out what I'm getting at. It's all good, though, Ryan has a huge following and like Zayra, hasn't wasted any time getting going on his solo career. No doubt that The Dark Horse will ride again.
If you haven't watched the online reality show I suggest you do. There is a lot of heat regarding Dilana's "screw you to the fans" comment. I can't figure out what she could have possibly meant. Part of me wants to think that she was referring to the haters online and that it ACCIDENTALLY CAME OUT WRONG (I had to cap that, because it is evident by some comments that I didn't type it loud enough!), but then again, that girl really need to learn to think before she opens her mouth. She does go on to say that she needs her fans later in the episode, so it is more than a little confusing in terms of where the hell she is coming from. Onstage I think she is amazing, but off stage, she has the potential to really piss off a lot of people. It seemed that she was redeeming herself from a couple of weeks ago, but I really think that she may have signed her own Supernova Death Certificate with this one. I am curious to see what happens because I have always wondered how much of an impact the online episodes have on the voting. Control-Alt-Delete.
Also, there is a new Supernova track in the reality show online. It is definitely my favorite of all the material we have heard from them. I am hoping they do that one on Wednesday. The guitar riff is pretty sick.
I will be doing another Spread Radio Live today at some point. Look for the usual indicators that I am live, such as the spreadradiolive name and "ON AIR" icon in your AIM buddy list, a post here on 6767 or a MySpace bulletin.

Sunday
What's up everybody? Only two weeks of Rockstar: Supernova left, then it's back to business as usual. More The Panic Channel shows, Spread Radio Live shows, maybe a week off up north. Total recovery time. I am looking forward to the break but I will miss seeing everybody I work with twice a week for sure. Let me get one thing straight here. I do not HATE anybody. A lot of talk about "Dave hates Magni". That is absurd. I honestly do not know the man. I think he is an awesome singer and performer, as I do all of the remaining contestants. In fact, to quote my last post, I wrote, "Either way it rolls, I can almost see a version of Supernova with any of them. At this point the talent pool is so deep, that they (Supernova) kind of can't lose." I have rarely said anything negative to him about his performances. I just happen to have my personal favorites, just like everybody else. Today I have another performance taping down at CBS to attend. I think there will be some surprises with song choices. We are at that stage where we can have two songs from each performer. Big show ahead! The Vegas trip was just insane. Great party at Pure followed by a lot of late rolling around from here to there. I didn't sleep at all while I was there so I grabbed myself about 12 hours last night. Even thought I do not drink or do drugs, I feel totally hung over somehow. Vegas will do that to you! Actually, the best part of my trip, the most enlightening part, was the flight home. I was seated next to an elderly woman who asked me about my tattoos. She then said, "I have one, but not by choice." She proceeded to show me a number tattooed on her left forearm. It turned out she is a Holocaust survivor. She had been in Auschwitz when she was a little girl. We spent the flight talking about her experiences and it was profoundly life changing for me. I am well studied in the history of the Holocaust and W.W.II, as I have read quite a bit of literature and watched a lot of documentaries on the subjects, however, all of the information out there never even scratches the surface. An amazing lesson in humility, gratitude, patience, perspective, love and tolerance. I had never met a survivor before that.

Vegas
Thank you to everyone who helped make The Panic Channel The MSN Artist of the Month ! I don't really know what winning means exactly, but I know that it is way better than losing! HAHAHA... Thank you for all of your support. There is no way we could even exist without you. The heat on this little blog should die down for the day, as I am not even going to mention that show I work on. Instead, I am going to Las Vegas with SRL's Todd and Larissa for the Pure Party at Ceasars tonight. It's gonna be an insane trip as Tommy is doing a DJ gig at another spot and Circus Diablo is playing at The House of Blues. All the boys set loose in Vegas? It's going to be like a modern version of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom! (Well, without the whole taking down an elk part.) I will be back tomorrow with an all new Spread Radio Live and my thoughts about the upcoming final Rockstar episodes. Damn! I thought I wasn't going to mention it! Ahhh... Fuck it! Only four more studio audience episodes remain and five contestants left. That means that there will only be one or two more critiquing episodes. As I told Magni last week, there really isn't much more we can say to these guys in terms of critique. They are all good and it kind of just comes down to the majority public vote and Supernova's decision. There really isn't much room for improvement across the board. Don't be surprised if the next episode sounds like this: "Awesome!" "Great Job!" "That was your best yet!" "Killer, dude!" "That was amazing!" It's all just coming down to who the best fit is, and for me, I don't really know because I have only heard three Supernova songs. I have my favorite two, but between them, I can't decide yet. It kind of depends upon the material I guess. Damn! I'm late for a plane. In closing, I'll say that I think Magni, Storm and Toby are great, but I don't know if they have the "edge" factor that Dilana and Lukas have. Either way it rolls, I can almost see a version of Supernova with any of them. At this point the talent pool is so deep, that they (Supernova) kind of can't lose.
