Elimination Time
Tonight is going to be a heavy one. All five remaining singers have a strong fan base so there is going to be crazy digital outcry all across the Internet no matter who goes home. Last night was a lot of fun playing with Storm, and I meant what I said about her original. It was incredible! I like how I have received comments about keeping my opinions to myself, and not making grand statements about performances. Um... Hello? That is pretty much my job description on the live studio audience show! As for my projections here, they are simply elaborations on my thoughts in the studio, with a few exceptions. Either way, if you don't like it, there are plenty of other boards and blogs to hang in. Tonight? I really don't know. I do know that we hear a new Supernova song and that should tell a lot because they will be playing with a new performer. We will have heard 4 out of 5 contestants with the band and our ability to visualize the potential outcome will be a lot easier. At the end of the show last night, the bottom three were, Dilana, Storm and Magni. Damn! It may have changed since then, but of those three... Who to send home? For me, I'd have to say Magni. I definitely like him a lot, but now we are down to such a tough choice and in my opinion, I prefer the edge that Dilana and Storm have over Magni's somewhat perfected style. He is almost too on point at all times, which is amazing, but I like to see people get a little dirty and raw from time to time. Hey, that's just me. As I said, the final bottom three may have changed since last night. I tried to not get attached to these contestants this season, but after seeing the same faces for ten weeks, I can't help not wanting to see any of them go. I do not envy the decision Supernova has to make. The good news, is that they announced last night that the House Band is opening for Supernova and that they will be bringing along some of the runners up. Maybe it'll all work out for everybody in one way or another.

Nice job last night Dave. You and Storm looked great together.
Posted by: Rainier at September 6, 2006 08:37 AM
That last one wasn't a particularly pithy note but heck, I've always wanted to be first.
Posted by: Rainier at September 6, 2006 08:38 AM
Yer last statement was exactly what I said! That I'd hate to be in Supernova's place. Now is when the really tough decisions have to be made. Good luck to them!
I personally would hate to see Storm leave cause she is not only a great singer but an excellent performer :) And shes got a personality to boot!
Peace :)

It was great hearing/seeing you play last night on RSSN.

Keep dishing out the opinions! You're a professional, you know the business-- both contestants and viewers should value your opinion, even if they don't always agree.

Dave! It was about time we saw you play that stage again! I loved it, loved it, loved it, that you played with Storm! You guys have good energy together. I want to see a complete Dave Navarro & Storm Large show! But not on tv...it would be too hot for the censors!

Last night was great..some of the originals were amazing I especially Liked "headspin" song kicked ass!...I thought storm did well also..Dilana is losing her edge..her performances are a bit repetative..nothing new....As for Toby he is very talented..but I and I know many other feel he is just how shall I say this" forgetable"..I can barely remember what song he sung the week before...all season I can maybe name 2 songs if even that...To me Toby is more of a soloist..and I do get what tommy said about magni being the "same" in every performance...thats very true. Anyways bummed that the season almost over its along time comming till next season Uhhgg!

Dave,
I would say the mass majority want to hear your opinion. That is why they/we come to this site. Really enjoyed the performance w/Storm. I agree with the original & I have never been an fan of Storms. She rocked last night. Take care & cant wait for the show to night.
Posted by: Merc957 at September 6, 2006 08:45 AM
Hey Dave,
Everyone has a favorite and an opinion. Your a opinion just carries more weight. My opinion, send Dilana home tonite. Next week, Toby wins.
Not sure about next week. Is there going to be a Tuesday and Wednesday show? or does SN pick the winner on Tueday.?
Posted by: Marlene at September 6, 2006 08:45 AM
Great performance with you and Storm!
Dilana has lost steam, Lukas is losing steam too, many are getting bored with the fake angst and emo and he wasn't great tonight.
Meanwhile Toby is kickin' ass. He was on fire last night and Storm made a comeback. The underdogs have taken over the show. I wouldn't mind a Toby/Storm final 2, with Toby winning.
Damn, that season is full of surprises after all. Dilana and Lukas seemed to have it in the bag for weeks and now Toby is the front runner and Storm is back. MB should be proud!

Good morning Dave,
I thought your comments last night were right on. It's hard to decide because they all bring something and different to the table. I personally think Toby has jumped to the front. He's got the fun side of TLee, he's got a serious side a la Jason, and well, the non-rocker-rhyming name as Gilby!!!
I think Lukas may be a bit too punky& edgy for Supernova but a great opening act!!
Either way, it's been a great summer of Rock! And you were absolutely terrific on stage. Can't wait to see more of TPC!!!
Posted by: Julz at September 6, 2006 08:46 AM
I totally agree with Hillary, like you said, that is your job to give your opinion.
I am surprised to hear myself say that I think Storm should go to the final. I didn't like her much all season until last night and she "killed it" (to coin one of your phrases). Magni is a great singer but I don't think he is right for SN. Dilana?.....I don't know anymore. She seems to bring baggage or issues with her. Her comments outside of the performances are hurting her. She is still harping on the "last few weeks". If I were her I wouldn't be bringing it up everytime she speaks on stage...I would hope that everyone would just move on from it.
Can't wait til tonight!
Love to all.........

I think I'd rather just see a "Dave at Large" show. I was jealous of Storm last night! I don't want to share!!!
My plea: JUST DAVE - NO SHIRT - NO CENSORS
(Pants optional!) *wink *wink
My apologies to all the men on this page, I just couldn't resist an X rated Dave only show fantasy!

Dave,
Last night was too awesome for words, watching you perform on stage just gives me goosebumps!
Posted by: etosha at September 6, 2006 08:49 AM
I started out loving Dilana and thinking she would be perfect with Lucas being my second choice. Now, It's Tobey or Storm all the way. The one thing I like the most about Storm is her attitude. When everyone else is performing and the cameras pan over to the performers waiting as a group to the side, she is ALWAYS singing and dancing along. She enjoys herself the entire time! They are all great though -

Posted by: Traci A at September 6, 2006 08:49 AM
Dave, one of the reasons I watch the show is to hear what you have to say. Your opinion counts for alot! Some times it can sway me to feel one way or another for a contestant because I am a musician and I value your professional opinion. I agree with you when you say if people aren't happy with who you are go hang out on a different site. Keep it coming babe! You Are The Bomb. And P.S. Awesome show with you on guitar. Love from a Peach<:
Posted by: mary at September 6, 2006 08:51 AM
wow dave you really sent Dilana to the curb- did you forget about lithium, zombie, cats in the cradle, ring of fire and that cyndi lauper song ad mother mother, wow how quick you guys all forget about her, one thing happened and you all dogged her, who but her has had any memorable performances, wow you turned on a dime and really back stabbed her, what do you do anyway??? are you suppose to be someone?? trust me your all old and the way you look is getting embarrasing.
Posted by: joanne at September 6, 2006 08:51 AM
Hey there Dave...
What an awesome surprise when you hopped on stage to "rock" it with Storm... thought last night was interesting... Lukas for me just sounds like he's singing with his dinner in his mouth... as much as other aspects of his performance draw me.. that's distracting... I hope Dilana can make it on fumes to the finale... I'm deeply saddened by what's happened with her...she's so much better than this..... Storm while exciting not SN front woman for me.. Toby kicking it up a few notches for certain... Magni... great guy hate to say but a bit predictable in performance...who to leave? I'd have to say Magni.. Final 4... the real dark horse is Toby... and Dave are you a little embarrassed how your "dark horse" Ryan is trashing SN in interviews because they didn't pick him?? awful dude... You getting the impression he set all the Dilana fall from grace up yet??? Don't let him clown ya...
Posted by: Stephanie D at September 6, 2006 08:51 AM
Beyond wonderful performance!! Storm rocked the house, and you two looked like you'd been performing for years together! Nicely done.

totally agree with you dave. magni isn't raw enough for SN. im with dilana till the end, but toby is starting to give me chills as well. id just really love to see a girl rock the boys.

Mornin' Honey~
OMG...last night totally blew me away!!! Last night was the first night that Storm didn't irritate me!!! My first thought was that she's been hiding out and waiting to pull the big guns out for the end of the comp. Dilana's facial expretions killed me...she suddenly looked like she was worried!!! Lukas...I love his purity and Gilby's comment was absolutely priceless..."I feel inspired watching you." How sweet was that!!! Magni...does he know what's it's like to have music move your body and soul...he sings like it but, come one. Dilana hung in there like a trooper but I'm on the fence with her now...from the gate I thought she had the cat in the bag, but, she's definately getting a run for her money!!! Toby...
You by the way were fucking fabulous as usual!!! Was it fun for you to finally get your ass off the couch??? A complete unexpected treat...Thank You!!! The two of you totally complemented each other...for the first time I thought she was Rad!!!
Of couse looking forward to tonights show!!!
Thanks for loving us...Have a great day!!!

Dave Navarro, you and Storm were inspiring together! I was amazed watching you guys, listening to your music! And the work you've been doing here in this space, this blog, is surprisingly positive. It takes you to a different level of communication.
Keep on doing it.

It really pisses me off when people snap at you on your own pages. Then you have us all rushing to your defence which is funny because you don't exactly need the femail army to do it but we seem to be able to stop ourselves! The tension in RS SN is unreal - the houseband are great, have they thought about poaching Magni as their new singer?! Could be the alternative RS competition! Silky.x.x.x.x mmmm, Dave no shirt. x

Nice to see you out jammin' and happy instead of brooding on the sidelines. The Storm/Dave performance was just sick! Storm really kicked it up last night.
Posted by: Teresa at September 6, 2006 09:01 AM
Hey Vicci I am 56 and an artist also and think Dave is really a cool dude along with the Supernova group. Great moment seeing Dave come out on stage and playing. Wonderful performances by everyone and I'm not really sure about who will win this thing. I've liked Dilana from the start and do think she is the most talented performer by far followed by Lukas.
In some ways she has revealed more of who she is than any of the other performers through all the drama.
Posted by: Tom Menard at September 6, 2006 09:04 AM
I'm looking for a Storm Large & Toby steel cage grunge match to the death! I think Storm may have a bit more "hollywood" in her to pull things off with the band, She's more responsible and we haven't seen her all passed out drunk. She can hang with the big dogs!
Kudos to Dilana for hobbling on one leg for the second song.
Gonna be a hard decision tonight, but my money is on Magni or Lukas going home. Lukas being the most obvious choice.
Can't wait to see the show!

Dave,
Thx for jammin' last night. I knew you'd give us a lil taste!
As for the show...I keep flip-floppin and don't really have a fav, just know who I don't like. Anyway, looking forward to SN's decision and the tour, especially now that we know the house band will be touring with them...excellent!
Love & Peace from the bayou...RoxieJean

Dave, keep your opinions coming thats why I read! You and Storm kicked ass last night... Loved it! Loved it! Loved It! Storm is moving up on my list she may not have as much grit as Dilana does on stage but she is always on and she is always one classy bitch on and off stage! Tobys original was great he had the crowd in his hands! I have always liked Magni but last night I found myself saying .. I just wanna see some grit from him and he didn't give me what I wanted! My vote is Toby, Storm or Lukas but I am still not sure about Skunk (Lukas) he seems a little more punk to me. Either way they are all talented ... can't wait for tonight! Rock On Dave!

You looked unbelievably HOT last night, and the way you play that guitar.....I agree with Traci A....no shirts please!!!!!! A girl can dream can't she. You and Storm were great on stage, would love to see more of you.....
Love Ya Bratty
Posted by: Bratty at September 6, 2006 09:05 AM
I agree about Magni for a different reason. He is more of a glam/pop rock singer. He is GREAT at it, but not the dirty rocker Dilana is. My opinion of Lucus is, well not good. Too punky. Storm and Toby doing well! My pick for the band is between Dilana and Toby. Ryan was not right for this band, he is right for a solo career - he was phenomenal!
Posted by: KLo at September 6, 2006 09:05 AM
I liked all of the originals last night. I agree with all who ranked Storm's and Toby's at the top, they were really catchy & had great hooks. I even liked much of Lukas's song inspite of his voice, which is an asthetic thing for me...
Storm's song was hot, Toby's was fun and let's be real about SN's potential they aren't going to be radiohead or minus the bear , they're going to be a shot and a beer show us your tits band.
Posted by: john at September 6, 2006 09:06 AM
Last night was a great show. Did they plan that line-up? It kept building and building. Dilana was mediocre, though it was nice to hear her softer and more clean with the introduction to "Behind Blue Eyes". But she didn't dig into the back half of the song like I thought she would.
Magni will always be professional, with a rock solid performance. He doesn't have a freak factor, so he's got to sell the songs on vocals which he does nearly every time.
Storm, with you Dave, was brilliant. I'm not a Bowie fan, but I didn't hate that performance. And her original was exactly that...original. What an excellent song in every way.
Lukas should have picked an original that was a little higher paced than his rendition of the first song. But that was an incredible open to his set...and it probably made a statement that he's a solo performer, he needs to be the star.
But Toby is the band's pick. He's got the energy, he gets the crowd into the songs, and he's a solid rock singer. But really, WHAT IS TOMMY'S THING WITH TOBY'S ASS?
Going home: Magni or Dilana. Taking the show: Toby.
Posted by: John at September 6, 2006 09:07 AM
Dave, you and Storm rocked last night. Great job!!
I'm a bit miffed by your comment about Magni. I think such high quality performances and professionalism is hard to find. Anybody can fake it, by turning weaknesses into "special features". If you can't sing, then scream, make your voice raspier, sing from the throat, etc. But we all have different opinions, a different set of eyes, and a different set of ears. I never liked Bob Dylan, I always thought he sang out of tune. Others love him. Each to their own.

I fucking love surprises. Thank you so much for the surprise last night. What a rush. Man I gotta see you live (wish I still lived in L.A. sometimes). As for the show, I know it's a competitive world, but does it really matter who wins? When I started watching I was hoping to be turned onto some new music. That happened...(ONe) and Ryan's CD is next. I'm still opening my eyes to Supernova as it develops and enjoying the ride in the meantime. Seriously though, it's not about who wins. Music is our passion. Music is our rage. Music is our pain. Music is our joy. It fucking keeps us alive. Our hearts are the rhythm, our spirits, the melody and our mind the lyrics. It brings us together. Keep making it! Keep commenting on it. You are so loved Dave. I know you know that, but I'm reminding you.

I've liked Storm from the beginning, she's just so unique. I thought her original was awesome. There's another CD I'm going to have to pick up as a direct result of this show. As much as I loved Storm's original, though, I don't see it as Supernova material. I like Lukas a lot but I don't see him as a good combo with the band either, he's more punk than metal. Magni and Dilana are okay, but I'm hoping Toby will win. He has such great energy. Whatever happens, another great season is almost over and I wish them all luck.
Posted by: melinda at September 6, 2006 09:09 AM
Hey Dude, nice job rocking out on the Bowie tune. I, like you, was a huge Dilana fan for the first half of this season. All things aside, I still prefer the sound of her voice to any of the others, but she has really fallen hard. Between her dwelling on the negative, being overly defensive, and the show editing highlighting anything to make her look bad, what was once the ONLY choice for me to front SN, is now no chance. However, I hope she does well solo. I think it is either Magni or Dilana tonight for sure, and honestly, I thought Lukas tore it up last night. Too bad they edited Tommy's enthusiasm out of the show, but I think Lukas is the one for the job. Toby is just too bland for me, and Storm is just not my cup of tea. Anyway, peace out! Any prospects for next year's show and who the band will be? Can't come soon enough.
Posted by: Dig at September 6, 2006 09:09 AM
Does it ever happen that a singer stops and has to start the song again- which we wouldn't see cuz of editing?
Also, do you guyz smoke cigs while on the couch?
I thought I saw some smoke lingering around Gilby.
Panic Channel still in my cd changer. Awesome.
Posted by: JOHN DICKERSON at September 6, 2006 09:09 AM
well, last night I have to say you rocked it Dave. Unfortunately, IMO Storm was completely off. She is a dynamic performer but her voice often goes flat and off key. I don't know how it sounded live, but both my husband (who is a musician) and I were like "He's completely showing her up." I think the bottom 3 will be Storm Dilana and either Magni or Toby. Of those, I think it should be between Storm and Dilana. Storm just doesn't have the quality of voice and Dilana has cracked under pressure. I think in the end it should be between the 3 boys. I wish somehow I could combine one part of the swagger of Lukas, with one part of the voice of Magni and one part of the energy of Toby and BAM! the perfect rockstar.
Posted by: allergies suck at September 6, 2006 09:12 AM
Last night's show was awesome - Dave your getting up there was a long time coming and you certainly didn't let us down! It rocked hard!
I've always been a huge Dilana fan, but the more I watch and listen, the more I have to say that she HAS to get over what has been going on these last few weeks. She's not allowing anyone, including herself, to forget about it all and move on. All she's doing now is reminding people over and over and over again that she screwed up. She has to let it go and just rock!
Having said that, I still think she's got that one great performance in her, and I can't wait to see it. Let's just hope her self-pity and constant reminders of what happened don't land her on the Tommy-chopping-block. Get over it, learn from it, and MOVE ON!!!!!!
Posted by: Lynn at September 6, 2006 09:13 AM
Nail on the head...
STORM ROCKED
And looking back at the first show, I told my husband and friends that I loved Storm the best...but then she lost me. I loved last night's set, and the more I thought about the past season...Storm has been the one stuck with the songs that no one else wanted to do or could even hope to perform. Storm proved herself -- not that she needed to -- last night, that when she is free to rock on songs that she loves, she far outshines the rest on vocal, performance, and overall rock ability.
Dave, help the sister out by reminding everyone what she was stuck with for song selection...and that she has proved to be the one in the house who is supportive of everyone -- consumate professional that has yet to be catty. She is strong and confident and would be the best to work with on top of all the talent and energy she brings.
GO STORM GO!
I think that even without SuperNova she rocks...especially with you on stage with her -- I thought you both were amazing performing together, and even with your stage presence she definitely held her own. When I watched TPC on the Tonight Show, I distinctly remember only seeing you and don't recall any other members of the band...sorry, but just giving the honest
Posted by: CdnChick at September 6, 2006 09:14 AM
Dave-
I have been a Dilana fan from day one. Can not imagine the pressure she has been under, obviously being the front-runner in this competition from the first time she sang 11 weeks ago. She is not blameless in what has happened-she made the comments and only she can know what they truly meant, but don't you guys feel she needs some break from the constant negative publicity...unless she had a smile literally painted on her face for the show last night, someone was bound to see her not smiling-she was on camera more than the rockers who were singing!
Enough already-she is a performer, she brings something extra to every performance-not just one every here and there and I would hope that in the end that means more than the "created for TV drama" that has killed her spirit in the last couple of weeks!
Thanks for doing what you do-it's hard to be negative toward you, but I think you can be instrumental in helping rebuild a spirit that you had a definite hand in destroying!
Much love your way-S

You aint kidding about Hot and heavy... it has already started... Last night on the MSN boards a poster named The Dead King posted Dilana ODed on pain killers and rushed to hospital, then continued he was listening to an LA news morn show and that she had died and what was that going to do to the show... Got to tell you that got alot of folks going till no varification was found. it had been all a VERY VERY sick joke
Posted by: Jeff at September 6, 2006 09:23 AM
Thanks for giving Storm the props she deserves. That woman lives UP TO HER NAME! And we msut...we NEED to see more of her...some how, some way, somewhere. Thought you guys looked great together on stage by the way.
So you can't see me, Dave, but I'm holding both a lighter and my cell phone up in your honor at this very moment. Soak it in!!! lol!
Posted by: centrd at September 6, 2006 09:23 AM
Boy am I sick of Dilana's pity party. She had this thing in the bag until she opened her mouth, and while she's continuing to stick her foot there, she's whining all the time about her problems and how people are treating her. If she'd shut up and stop putting people off, she might actually regain her fans. Right now I think she's just done, and I really hope that SN realizes she brings nothing to the table, and that they have no use for her (best Gilby comment all season.)
I'm also a little tired of everyone praising the crap out of Lukas. If you want to bag on Magni for being predictible, come on. Every song, Lukas flops around like a gothic Mick Jagger, and it got old weeks ago. I've heard his other stuff, and he doesn't sing with that gravelly irritating tone normally, so I'm not sure why he's doing it on this show.
Toby is awesome, and I pick him for the winner. He's gotten better and better, and taken the critiques to heart, without going way overboard trying to please SN and get attention (like Ryan did.)

Hi Dave,
LOVED your performance last night with Storm! So glad you finally took the stage! I have to admit, I too, was not a Storm Large fan in the past, but she completely ROCKED last night. Loved both her performances, and Toby's too. Lukas is very unique, and I'm glad we got to see a little different side of him. I was really interested to see what he'd do with that Bon Jovi song, and I was maybe hoping for a little more, but it was still very good.
One question - does the house band have a name? Have they been playing together for years, or were they just pulled together for the show?
Thanks Dave for all your comments and opionions. It's the first site I check out each day before I start work!
Posted by: T at September 6, 2006 09:34 AM
I would definitely have to agree with Traci A. I was also SOOOOO jealous of Storm last night. And I would definitely love to see a shirtless, pantless Dave live in concert! I have always enjoyed Storm's attitude and her professionalism, but her voice was never one of my favorites. But I gotta tell ya, her original song kicks ass! And her overall performance last night has taken her from my least favorite to my favorite. I hope that she doesn't go tonight. Everyone really liked Toby's original, but I didn't care for it too much. Maybe I would have liked it a little better if I could have understood the lyrics.
Posted by: Amanda at September 6, 2006 09:37 AM
You rocked it last night, Dave! Thanks for the performance. About the show: It should come as no surprise when Lukas wins this thing. His Bon Jovi tune sucked ass last night, but everyone on the panel said "Oh you did a great job. You were great. You were ispiring". It was like the panel was purposely avoiding a comment about his cover tune...because it was so incredibly horrible!! Every other rocker received comments about each of their 2 performances, except Lukas. SN is setting him up.,,

It's your blog !!!! You're the one who is there every night watching these people perform live, you are the one that is not directly involved in the band, you're the one with tons of rock n' roll experience, who better to give their opinion.
Geez Dave ! I hope you don't listen to these people... Keep givin' your opinion please !
Amazing performance with Stormy last night...
Posted by: Jen at September 6, 2006 09:43 AM
Dave ... first off, you rocked last night! Storm totally turned it up about 5 notches. I loved her original song as well as Toby's. I have been a die hard Dilana fan from the beginning but the past few weeks have been hard to watch. I feel bad for her, and no I haven't forgotten the amazing performances of the past, but she's letting this get to her and she's not letting her fans forget about it either which brings me down while I'm watching the show. Not good! IMO, right now, I think it should be Toby and Storm. They have produced really great originals and have grown as artists, taking advice and working hard. Magni has always been fantastic but I can't see him with SN. The awesome thing is that he's getting his name out there with the show and he'll take off, without a doubt. Lukas just annoyed me last night. I don't know why, I can't explain it. He just didn't do it for me.
That's my five cents worth :)
And for those who are putting others down for their opinion. That's not right. We all have an opinion including Dave (who's nice enough to post his thoughts every day) and even though you might not share the same, we all have our favorites.

nice job with storm. Good chemistry. I thought you guys were gonna start banging right there. I hope Lukas tastes bottom 3 tonight.

Hey Dave. It was great to see you rockin' it out on the stage with Storm. The chemistry you two had was electrifying. Keep up the great work, on this show (for another week.. hee) and with your band. Ciao.
Posted by: dee at September 6, 2006 09:54 AM
Dave, you did great last night with Storm! It's nice to see you back up there with the House Band like you were a few times last season with RS INXS.
Personally, I didn't like three of the originals: Storm's, Dilana's & Lukas'. Because Storm's originally had the F bomb in the lyrics (but bleeped out online in the webisode), it sounded odd with her changing the word. Dilana's was too vanilla & I couldn't understand a thing Lukas said. I like Storm, but I don't think she's right for Supernova. Dilana's got the sound they want, but she's a lightning rod for negative attention. Lukas would fit in with the band, but he's such a live wire that you never know what he's going to do next, and Gilby wasn't impressed in the writing clinic. Out of the 5, I think Toby probably has the best shot. He's a talented writer (according to Gilby), he can sing, and he can entertain. Those are qualities SN needs.
Posted by: Scott L. at September 6, 2006 09:55 AM
I would like to see Toby front the band; he has all the vibe that Supernova seems to be about, and can produce the catchy stuff that will sell records and tickets.
Excellent rocking out on Suffragette City.
Posted by: Hazard at September 6, 2006 09:56 AM
Magni to go tonight? Are you insane! Dilana is a complete basket case. If she sings one more song about her "situation" I'm gonna throw a beer at the tv! It would have all been forgotten if she had shut up about it already. She is not strong enough mentally or physically to deal with this gig.
Does Magni win, probably not, but he deserves to be in the final four. It will come down to Toby vs. Lukas.
Posted by: Davd at September 6, 2006 09:57 AM
Too cool that the house band will be on tour with Supernova... Hmmmmmm, it could be Supernova headlining with winner and house band with all others in rotation opening up... Just thoughts...
Posted by: Savvy at September 6, 2006 09:58 AM
We rock to carry the baggage we have. It get's us through the life we're living. Dilana represents the edge, the ambitions and the failures we are. I'm 64 and I should know.
Posted by: Sharon at September 6, 2006 09:59 AM
Dave, you're a fuckin idiot!!! What you've done to Dilana and her career is unforgivable. As if it's not hard enough to live under a microscope she has you trashing her on the show and your website - I haven't seen you do this to anyone else. If you don't like her that's fine but wehy brak her spirit....are you that cruel of a person?? I really doubt that she was ever going to be chosen by Supernova?? Why would they want someone more talented than them - the only ones that think they (SN) are gods are you and them!! Get a f*ckin life Mr. Elektra - you can't even decide if you like boys or girls!

This has been an awesome week. I've tuned into SRL for the first time, making it almost a nightly listening. An AWESOME performance on Rockstar with one Storm Large. I went out and purchased two originals from last night on MSN. Storm's and Toby's. They've both become the front runners in my mind. I normally vote for Dilana but I had to throw every vote to Toby and Storm due to last nights performances and I kind of think the pulled calf muscle will seal the deal on Dilana not making it even though she was a strong trooper for going on with the show. I own virtually every Dilana song from RS:SN, it will be sad to see her go but hopefully they'll have her with the house band.
Dave, thanks for jumpin up on stage before the show goes off the air.

Hey Now Dave,
I wasn't going to mention this but since CdnChick brought it up...What the f@!k was the point of using "I will survive" as a song selection? I'm a musician and I've tried every way in hell to make that song rock, and I failed miserably. I don't believe it can be done. I've tried so much that my man threatened not to beat me anymore if he heard it one more time, one more way, on one more instrument.
What was in the sizzling brains of SN when they decided to use that song? Should Storm have slapped on the glitter dress, platform shoes and just done it disco?
I gotta know Dave...
Posted by: DarkEve at September 6, 2006 10:01 AM
First of all, Suffragette City WAS karaoke at best but what gets me is the way you cop out and say that 'Magni's somewhat perfected style is not raw or dirty enough' Give us a break with the b.s.
Posted by: Mean Girl at September 6, 2006 10:01 AM
The lack of comments about Lukas's performance last night is revealing but so are all the inconsistent comments made this year. They are subjective and calculated to manipulate the unbelievably maleable public. It is scary how so many people don't realize they are being herded like sheep but then look who is the president of the US.
Posted by: mizzy at September 6, 2006 10:04 AM
Great job last night Dave! I am not a lover of Storm, but you gyus rocked the house!
Here is why I think Magni should win - he has the best voice and voice control out of anyone and he will not take away from the rest of the band. I know that you want a dynamic front man, and based on talent, I think that is Magni. But, if you put someone like Toby, Storm or even Dilana in the front - the emphasis will be off of TLee, Gilby and Jason. And let's face it - that is who makes up Supernova. Most of us will just be listening to Supernova on the radio, IPod, Internet - wherever, so why would you NOT choose the person with the best voice? I am a person driven by the voice of the band, and so when I hear Layne Staley, or Eddie Vedder on the radio in the car - you just know I am about to crank it!
Great job this season - can't wait until next season!
Posted by: Deb at September 6, 2006 10:04 AM
First...Dave you are one of the main reason's I started watching this show last year...and then I was introduced to Marty Casey and JD Fortune...so it was 3 times the fun for me.
2nd...I was never a Dilana fan, still don't know what all the fuss is about...and now I think she looks pathetic. She keeps talking about this "horrific" thing that happened to her...umm..honey nothing happened to you...you did it to yourself. However her Ring of Fire performance is among one of my favorites...if i don't watch, and just listen...
As for the remaining...If SN hired Toby, Storm or Lucas I will be there...front row centre...all have such abundence of talent...and emote it in such different and unique ways...
Magni...I will buy the cd...man is amazing when your not watching him...but when I watch him, something is missing...don't now what...it just is...
Now these are just my opinions and thoughts...I am not a musician, I am just a huge fan of music and my cd collection spans decades...from Frank Sinatra, to Frank Zappa...right now I am huge on Billy Talent, 30 Seconds from Mars, The Panic Channel, and Silverstien. I also have a strange and embarrassing like of britney's dance mixes...yeah i know...you don't have to tell me, or cut me up. I am just saying, that all forms of music are enjoyable...whether you like it or not...the talent..the sweat...the tears...the f*ck ups...make for interesting viewing, and exposes your senses to something different.
Rabid fans, forget this, and only want thier chosen one to win...sit back, and just enjoy every performance...you will find the ones that you "hate" are actually quite good, and sometimes quite superior to your favorite..if only for that one moment...or that one song...
Dave..you have a great gig, we can tell you enjoy it, and we love that you are doing it...
so
thank you

I missed your performance last night. Damn!!! Someone msged me and said "Did you see Dave playing?"...."Umm, no!"....Now that would have been a sure reason to watch RS! haha
Oh well, I really have nothing to say..since everyone is still all RS chatter..
Have a greta day all!

Hi Dave !
I think u rocked the house with Storm last night.. WOW great job! Can't wait to hear more from your band..
I thought Storm had the best original song of all of them by far, I had goosebumps the entire song. But my personal favourite is Magni and I was sad to see that you thought it was time for him to go home. But well, we all have our opinions and I respect that :)
I just want to say that I absolutely adore you, I think you know better than Supernova when you guys are judging and I always hear you out :)
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work! Love you Dave !!
P.S. Lol.. I had a dream about you last night ;)
Posted by: Anna1986 at September 6, 2006 10:11 AM
Last night really was a great show. Storm was the one who performed the original I liked best, with Toby coming up second. Lukas did a great job on his cover with Dilana coming right up behind him. I'm afraid you're right about Magni. He's great and I'd LOVE to hang with him, but yeah, Supernova needs and 'edge'. Bottom line though, I have NO idea who's going to win this gig as all the remainders are so damn good!

Hey Dave,
Last night you totally overshadowed Storm. You rocked. I was so pleased to see you get up there and rock out. Amazing. Totally amazing.
About people coming down on your for your opinions... look... those are YOUR thoughts this is a FREE country and you are entitled to say what you please, when you please and they can just get over it. They are only mad at you because your opinion is different than theirs. How childish can some people be? Seriously?
Speaking of Childish... Dilana. Her little song with Gilby about the fans. Sure Dilana has talent, Dave but look at her attitude. She would be a liablity to Supernova.
Now that Ryan is gone Toby is who I am pulling for. He just looks so right for the spot in Supernova. His song... his original was so good and catchy. I think even if he doesn't front Supernova that he has a GREAT future (just like Ryan does).
Also Dave, what was up with Newsted being so quiet last night? Is he alright? Usually he has more input than that.
Keep rockin' Dave. I am sure the end of Rockstar Supernova isn't the end of this for good... I can't wait for a possible season 3. And perhaps more of you rockin' out like you did last night.
XOXOXO

Wow. What an incredible show. Fun! Fun! Fun!
You were fantastic. Your's and Storm's interaction was so right on. Still, don't get the Lukas appeal, neither does my boyfriend. Can't understand the man when he sings. We're mid-old rockers in our 40's. Dilana did great, but her choice of cover song and original lyrics was distracting due to all the drama. What a trooper ... got to give her credit.
Top performances last night: Storm and close second is Toby.
For SN Frontperson: taking into account marketability, longevity, concert touring, chemistry with SN, wide appeal, and talent ... Toby all the way. Girls and women from 8 to 80 are attracted to that dude.
Love Storm! My personal fav to follow career wise. Went to bed with the chorus of "Ladylike" rolling in my head. Storm is what I describe as not being ready for the prime time players. That's what I love about her most.

Dave, the show just killed all over the place last night! What a blast 2 have u rock up there 2! I wrote on here b4 that they should pick a chick and a guy, but w/them doing the combined tour thing, that is just as good, aww hell yeah! Ok Dave, next year: Rock Star! I'm with the band~ U gotta have the house band be the next ones 2 cut an album & do a tour with an undiscovered vox chick/dude. peace.

As in your words, AWESOME DUDE!
What I don't understand - and I am sure you are questioning this - but why would people come on to YOU site to give you NEGATIVE criticism. We can all use a little now and then - but this is YOUR site and YOUR show and like you said - if you don't agree, there are other boards out there.
Please Dave, I am begging you, would you tell us if there is any talk in doing another Rockstar next year??????
Love and peace to you..........
Always,
me

Last night was a great show. I loved seeing you up there with Storm. She was tthe highlight of the night. I also really liked Toby. Magni is a favorite of mine so I would be sad to see him go but He would do good with the house band. As far as being too perfect. Have to tell you with the ticket prices the way they are nowadays. I really want and expect the act to be perfect annd bring...or I want my money back.
On a side note..not sure if you read the blogs but I saw a picture of you on TPC webside with a clown picture. Looked like John Wayne Gacy. Do you won that painting? Is it Gacy or did he paint it?

Morning Dave. :-) Ah, it’s amazing what a good four hours of sleep can do for a person. LOL I feel like a million bucks again. :-) I was fading for awhile after that ‘power voting’ last night. *ouch* LOL Now, it’s just up to ‘the boys.’ Fans can still write supportive messages and such to SN and the performers. But our part in this process is effectively done. SN has to decide how they’re going to roll. Depending who they choose, it’s going to be a very different band. For me, the only person I can completely get behind is Lukas. He *is* “Supernova to me and fits in perfectly with Tommy, Jason and Gilby. They are ‘tight’ as a band, together, and with Lukas onboard the potential for hit songs and edgy, risk taking, brilliant performances would really have no limits. Lukas has an incredibly wide and diverse fanbase, too, spanning both sexes and all age groups. Folks like Toby, Magni and Storm I could watch for a couple of songs, singing their best material and enjoy them as ‘opening acts.’ Lukas I would watch for every second he’s onstage and then stomp, whistle, clap and cheer for encores. LOL Who’s going home tonight? Personal choice: Dilana. Magni is a definite possibility as well. I love the Magster and hope he puts out an album in English—I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Toby is a somewhat gimmicky chick magnet (unfortunately they come across as a horde of screaming teenyboppers LOL) with a fabulous sense of humor and a good voice. Again, I love the guy, but as an opening act, not the frontman for SN. I just cringe a little at the thought of seeing Magni, Toby or anyone else but Lukas onstage for 1 ½ to 2 hours. It’s great news that the House Band will be touring with SN. I’d love to see a show with Magni, Toby and Storm as the opening acts and then Lukas fronting SN for the main show. That would be a perfect case scenario for me. :-)

I know what happened was a travesty to her, by far the best performer on that show, now it looks like she has been getting no sleep and is in a real slump wven though behind blue eyes was awesome, and what the hell was lukas thinking??? that was nasty. I hope Supernova gets what they deserve, you will see them next year if they don't pick Lady D, trying to get another singer

Dave, I think you are what keeps the show from turning into an us vs. them with contestents and Supernova. And your opinions.... you are the only one who is really able to say what you think. I love to hear it.
I think Dilana should be the next to go... and I never thought I'd say that. The end should come down to Toby and Storm. Something about Lukas just doesn't sit right with me.
Thanks for the show, the fun, and the awsome music.
Posted by: Word_slave at September 6, 2006 10:21 AM
its a total outcry what they did to Dilana, like I said lithium, zombie, cats in the cradle, cyndi laupers song, ring of fire and behind blue eyes and that stupid supernova song, whos performances have all been memorable??? not anyone's but hers and this what they do to her... I hate all of them for this just do to the fact they never planned on having a woman front that band

Why is it when I see Dilana, it is always wht you guys did, it is no ones fault but her own, everything to her is her, my gosh, she didn't even apoligize to anyone yet, it's always about her making a mistake, and so on. I love her voice, and no one has ruined her, Her fans will always be there, and they will support her.
Storm did awsome last nite, but it's to late, I can't see her fronting SN. I will be saddend next week when the show is over, but can't wait to see who gets this.
Posted by: Angie at September 6, 2006 10:23 AM
Dave + Storm + Bowie = GREAT FUCKIN TELEVISION
Wow, last 2 performance shows have blown away anything we've seen on both seasons. Good times!
Dilana is self-destructing in spectacular fashion and it's sad because I still think she has the best on-stage presence. She's made it painfully clear that she doesn't have thick enough skin to front SN...nor to make it very far in the biz at all. Not to mention the writing skills...which we now know are very important (2 clinics, crappy SN songs presented so far).
I would have thought Lukas was the natural fit except that when I saw Toby with SN a few weeks ago, I was surprised at how they "clicked" - looked/felt/sounded right. Then even more surprised when I didn't get that same feeling seeing Lukas play with them.
After Toby's showstopper last night, he's finally proven he can command an audience...beyond his teen idol looks.
Time for Lukas to break out his FUN side otherwise the job goes to Toby...in fact it's probably too late lol.
Posted by: Kim in Toronto at September 6, 2006 10:26 AM
Wow, what a show last night. Tonight will be intense. Dave, it was awesome to see you onstage with Storm...man, you two looked HOT up there and sounded even hotter.
Right now, I'm predicting the gig will go to either Toby or Lukas. Dilana did sign her death warrant with those last comments on the reality show, and her lack of writing ability clinches it for me. Personally, I prefer Toby to Lukas, but either one will pull it off. Lady Storm deserves a kick-ass solo career and will have one. Magni as well. Oh, whatever will I do with my Tuesday and Wednesday nights when this thing is over??

Dave- Like everyone else has said here today, YOU ROCKED LAST NIGHT!
I'm sad that Dilana is in this funk. I pray she doesn't go home tonight, but it will be from her own doing, unfortunately.
The Panic Channel is a constant in the car, the pc, in my head.
Thanks for playing Bloody Mary the other night. All of my begging paid off!

Great show altogether. Dave, thank you for sending some love Magni's way.
They all did their thing last night. I stand by my belief that Dilana peaked too soon. I hope this is the end of the SN road for her...
I'm getting tired of people not understanding Magni. He doesn't compromise who he is people! Gotta give him credit for that. I don't find him boring. I find him REAL. If I want theatrics from a lead singer, I'll go see a Broadway musical! lol Then again, I'm more of a classic rock fan and definitely not a goth girl. But hats off to Toby and Storm. They did very well. Lukas is Lukas but as I said, I'm not into the theatrics. I know his fans loved him.
Anyway.... just my two cents.
Rock on, Dave and thanks again.

Dave,
It's an honor for me to have your last name. I thanked my daddy last night for having the name... "NAVARRO" :D
Dave, YOU ROCKED last night!!! :D What an awesome show. I just loved the chemistry that you and Stormy had. I keep visualizing Stormy on her knees saying, "Oh David" and how about the kiss that she gave Brooke before going to commercial. That was hot or I'm just, oh so a Lesbian, in which I am. lol' I am so glad that Stormy finally came out although I was expecting it because she did mention that she was sick of portraying someone who she wasn't throughout the beginning (wearing a dress, showing skin, etc). "Thank you Storm for showing us your edgy side." Although, Storm rocked out last night, I must say that I cannot put aside the performances that Dilana has shown us. I just hope that she lets it go already. Please, let it go!
Dilana or Storm to win. I just want a girl fronting the boys but I still favor Dilana more.
Keep up the good work Dave, you are amazing!

Dave, first off you and Stormy rocked it. Her song was my fav of the night, hands down. The one thing I just don't get though is all the loving for Lukas. I like his look I even like his performances but face it he CAN'T sing. He trashed living on a prayer. His song I couldn't understand a single word. I guess I'm boring becase Magin is my favorite. Always a great performance out of him. I would buy his CD, great voice. Oh well. Here is hoping Magin stays and Dilana goes home. She has worn her welcome
Posted by: jennifer at September 6, 2006 10:45 AM
Storm did a lot better than she usually does but I still don't want her to win. Ryan's original was much better and Toby's was good, plus he got a lot of crowd interaction. Lukas's original was quite good as well.
Dilana did the best cover of a song by The Who so far, but if you watch the reality show she said she had only heard the Limp Bizkit version. She should get eliminated just for that.
Posted by: Dan at September 6, 2006 10:46 AM
Here is my oppinion of each
Magni - Great voice - no doubt about it. A little boring on stage. But voice is awesome.
Storm - She is fine, doesn't do anything for me. I believe she tries to hard to be a bad a** and that irritates me.
Lukas - I do like him. His stage attitude, emotion and voice is great. I don't know. He just has that edge to him.
Dilana - Her voice is different and fun at times. I don't think she is right to front SN...but that is just me.
Toby - Definitely fun, but predictable. I knew he was going to jump off that stage and run through the crowd before he did it. He does it on every show. When he doesn't - he is kinda boring. Voice is fine - but nothing stands out.
Out of all these - Lukas would be my pick for a long term band. He has a large fan base and appears to have that special something that will keep changing with the times and the style of music for the future.

Hey David!! How are you doing? I love SRL and try to catch it whenever I can. Love your choice of music and even if I disagree with a lot of what you say I do appreciate your views.
As for the show and who should stay and who should go....
This year has been a major disappointment for me. There has been no stand out performer. Dilana, at the beginning, was riveting but then slowly degenerated into the same boring, monotonous singer. She never seemed to grow. Storm is probably the most interesting personality but her style isn't going to mesh with SN's, at least I don't think. I'm betting she will be singing the new SN track tonight. Magni has a great voice but a meh delivery and an even more meh stage personality. Toby sometimes sounds like a yappy little dog especially when he is using his higher register like he did last night in Mr. Brightsides. And as for their originals....generic at best. Toby's had elements of Panic! at the Disco in it and what was with the Van Halenish guitar? That is so cliche. Lukas? I don't know what to think of him. He has a great voice as he has proven with "Living on a Prayer" but when he starts to growl he loses me. I loved "Headspin" and it has been stuck in my head all day, something that I can't say about the others. I can recall a bit of Storms but the other three are totally forgotten.
I don't envy SN the job of choosing who they want to lead them, there really isn't anyone that I think is clearly the best. There is so much potential in the bed tracks I've heard, but the lyrics need a lot of work. So with that in mind, Dilana is out - can't write a lyric to save herself; Storm is out - lyrics aren't all that inspiring; Magni is out - he might do well writing in his native language; Toby is out - too generic and forgettable. Lukas has good writing skills but not sure about his vocals and stage presence. Can we get Patrice back? Lukas and her would probably write some really brilliant music and she can sing the pants off anyone else on the show.
And please tell me that it's not going to be an all girl show next year? What will it be RS: The GoGo's? Will they then go on tour with INXS?

Hi Dave,
Great show -- you and Storm made a great pair; I could see you both in a band-to-be-named-later. Really glad to see Storm showing her rocking chops, she's been a little vanilla the last few weeks. Last night was the first time I could see her in front of SN.
My friend Barb and I see the finals this way: Dilana goes home tonight; next week it'll be Toby with the high prize, and Storm and Magni with the House Band (they need a better name!).
I know there are lots of Lukas Lovers, and I like Lukas, too, but he's a little too spazzy for some of us. I do think he'll do very well with his own band, as he's got some great fans.
Will be having some RS:SN withdrawal in a couple of weeks, but really glad you have this forum, Dave.
BTW, rocked to ONe on my way home from Houston the other day -- Why Cry is really growing on me.
Muah.

Hey Dave, I like to hear your opinions if I agree with them or not. My family thinks Lukas is the most original and talented rocker we have seen in years. Toby is good but a little bit bubble-gum rock to suit us.Storm is growing on us but would be a better solo artist. Magni good voice nice guy but boring on stage.Dilana all but Ring of fire she does the same thing over and over and over and over well you get my point.
Thanks for 2 seasons of Rockstar hope to see#3.
Bye for now.

Hi Dave
I saw you in the last show and it was amazing. You are a great musician I enjoyed your performance very much. About Dilana I am a big fan from the begining and I believe that you and the SN band have made a big damage to her she looks worry and sad. Dont forget that she is just a human been, lets her mistakes away and remember she is a wonderful singer . She deserves to be on the final.. she dont need to be the SP singer She will rock alone
Please Could you have another performance before the show ends.
Regards

Hi Dave,
First time watching this show this season. My personal favorite is Storm. In the past few weeks she has sang a variety of music. She has a great voice with an edge. She just needs better material. She also has had a positive attitude. She has not bad mouthed the other contestants which is good. Bad mouthing people is just not a good thing in a competitive business. It makes you think if you could bad mouth you competition you would probably bad mouth your band? She seems more like a team player who wants to grow with a band.
Posted by: T-marie at September 6, 2006 10:55 AM
SN = Staring TLee, Gilby, Jason & Lukas. I think that sounds like a rock band with an edge.
Posted by: sam at September 6, 2006 10:56 AM
Hey Dave, or anyone who knows, I was wondering something about the tour. Are the cokers going to be required to go? Is this something like that American Idol where the contestants had to sell their soul to get on the air and have a shot? Or is this just something for those that want to do it. With all the comments you have made about some of the folks getting out there and starting their career, I have the impression that they are free after the show. But I just thought I would ask.
Posted by: Joe Mayer at September 6, 2006 10:57 AM
Damn...can't get that Headspin song out of my head. I've been humming it all day. I love that guy. He is awesome. Intense in a good way. And I'm a 34 year old corporate woman sitting at my desk writting on this website. What is wrong with me...I have Rockstar and Lukas fever bad. Shame on me....I should be working.
Posted by: pete at September 6, 2006 10:58 AM
Ya know, I wasn't gonna post my view on the contestants 'cause it REALLY doesn't matter, it's just my opinion. But all of you FUCKIN' IGNORANT CRAZEE's are really pissing me off. Most of us come here because we love Dave and we wanna know what he thinks. That's the purpose his blog...sharing himself with his fans. Yeah, OK, some ppl don't like him, whatever, we don't care what you think. We are here for him. Expressing your opinion is one thing, but trashing someone 'cause they don't agree with you is just plain ignorant.
Go spew your fucking stupid thoughts on your own blog! Oh yeah, no one reads it because you're a fuckin' nobody. Shut the fuck up!
Oh yeah...DILANA SUCKS, she has since day one and no matter what the commentary is, she still sucks!
Posted by: RoxieJean at September 6, 2006 10:59 AM
I just wanted to add that I have the impression that Storm has the BEST attitude on that show. She is the only one who is standing and singing along no matter who is up on the stage. Heck, I think the only time I have seen her off of her feet is when she is answering questions. She has really shown support to everyone in that house when they are playing. That is why she has my vote.
Posted by: Joe Mayer at September 6, 2006 10:59 AM
First things first, Dave - you and Storm rocked last night! Too, too awesome!
After reading most of the posts today, I have to say that if anyone has been a true fan of Dilana from the start then all of this negative crap isn't going to make them change their mind of her. I consider myself a fan of hers, and if anything I've become more supportive of her fronting the band because of all the crap she's having to deal with as a result of what she said and how things were edited (mistakes are made, move on.) How can we forget all the wonderful performances we've seen from her; i.e. Ring of Fire, Lithium, Time After Time?
As for the people commenting about the "looks" Dilana was giving during the other performer's sets last night...for God's sake she's probably in pain from her torn calf muscle! I don't think she wishes ill of any of her housemates.
Moving on...I love every one of the remaining performers on this show and should they all come out with albums after this show, I'd be the first in line to buy one regardless if they are fronting SN or not. They've all received great exposure from this show and I think they are all better off from the experience.

Hi Dave,
Have to love the reaction to "Livin On A Prayer". Lukas really shook things up; you'd think Pluto'd been demoted or something.
I thought it was brilliant - stripping a top 40 tune down to it's Dylan roots but giving full credit to Bon Jovi's melody & riffs - awesome. Can you imagine if he'd done the opposite to a Dylan song? ha ha ha ha!!
One question, though. The 'labelers' are blogging that Lukas isn't metal enough for SN as he's too punk or too EMO. To follow thIS reasoning... so what's metal about Toby? Gotta love it! I'll bet you miss this gig.
Posted by: RoadDog at September 6, 2006 11:04 AM
Dave, I really enjoyed you and Storm together - TOTALLY HOT! My boyfriend wasn't too happy when I blurted out, "Oh my God, He is so hot!" when you were playing!!!
Hey, today's my birthday, can you jump out of my cake?? PPPlease!!!!!!
Anyway, I hope Dilana gets kicked off, she's losing her edge, and her voice grates on me - maybe if she smoked less, her voice wouldn't sound so bad - within a few years, she probably won't have one!! JMHO...

I´m a true Magni´s fan and would love to see him in the final four but he would fit better with the HB because they are "real" and so is he. Thank you Dave for sharing your thoughts with us and have a great time tonight.

Hi Dave,
Loved seeing you on stage Rocking.
All of the Rockers are talented and have their own style. I was a Dilana fan from the begining but, her self doubt is really bringing her down.
Lucas---I don't know, talented Yes, but something about him. Magni-love his voice but, a little boring on stage. Storm - have always liked her performances, she has done the best she can with the song choices. Toby - getting better but I can't see him fronting SN.
Hey you never know, I still haven't figured out what SN is lookig for in a singer.
Peace

That was a really great show last night, Dave! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for jumping on stage and adding a little spice. If SN wants the total package of professionalism, realism, talent, energy, and creativeness...Toby or Magni are their men...much love to ya, feeknix
Posted by: feeknix at September 6, 2006 11:11 AM
You know how sometimes the opening band turns into the headliner and the headliner turns into the opening band? Glad to see they choose the houseband for an opening act...too bad they are just as good.
Maybe they will turn out the real winners.

GEEZE what is with people today! DAVE NOR SUPERNOVA did a fucking thing to Dilana...she did it to herself! She had a huge fan base and lost it all on her own. Her constant whining about what happened to her - even tho she did it to herself, and her comments on the webisode "fuck the fans" lost my vote for sure.
And by the way - You all who are dissing DAVE NAVARRO need to get a life and get off OUR website! We LOVE the way he LOOKS not to mention the way he ROCKS! So do your bitchin somewhere else.
Love to the 6767 family.

I missed half of it as my wife was so turned on by Both Dave and Storm on stage she was pleasuring herself :-O so needless to say my attention was divided...
Gotta say after having watched it back....AMAZING!!! I am totally captivated each and every time I see that woman on stage be it TV or in person and this was the ultimate as my favorite guitar player was there ripping the hell outta it as well! And I LOVE her original, (What the FUCK is)Ladylike. As Tommy said, "That track is.....unnnnnnn!" it now being sold as a single on CDBaby.com (http://cdbaby.com/cd/stormandballs) Go Storm Go!!!

Hey Dave,
A few thoughts about Living on a Prayer.
When I heard Lukas was doing this Bon Jovi cover I could not imagine how he would be able to make this a Lukas like song.
When I saw his performance I was stunned. I did not think it went off very well.
I have since gone back and re-watched and I must say it was absolutely magic.
I think that initially sing this song stripped down was a shock to the system and not what I have come to know from Lukas. Upon seeing it again with the shock wearing off I was able to enjoy it.
Dave this is what sets Lukas apart from the others. He will step out and take a chance delivering something different in every performance. The other rockers although talented perform the same every week.
I must say I know enjoy Bon Jovi covers!

Dave,
Gonna miss Rockstar ending. One of my favorite shows. Looking foward to the next one. Listen, I know the Panic Channel just released a great record, but wouldn't it be cool if you guys pulled a fast one and announce you're joining Supernova as the lead guitarist. Oh, sweet mercy. Ahmmm...you know that is cool. Looks like Dilana shot her wad. Too bad she's self-destructing. Wow, you gave Storm a peck on the cheek last night, lucky mo-fo. She's the only one that can stand beside Brooke Burke and take the attention off her. She needs work but has potential. Magni is reliable. Toby, Supernova's best bet. Lucas, fucking weird. Reminds me of a great Billy Idol impression. But he feels the most original of them all. Ah you lucky guys. To be a rock star. Brooke & Storm...I'd be knee deep...if you know what I mean. Cheers.

I liked last nights show.. although.. I think great kudos should go out to Dilana with her injuries and such she can still rock dance and perform to awesome degree ... whether sitting or standing ... We love her and think she is getting back on track .. I still think she would be great if she could do a Rob Zombie song... Didn't really care for Lucas .. though.. but the rest were rad... You was awesome... Thanks for sharing with us .. and reminding us who you are and what you can bring to a stage and performance..

As I realized belatedly there is another Raven who posts here (and it's my name so I won't change it, lol) I'm identifying myself a little better. I'm the one who cuts and pastes your blogs for my mother since she can't access your site through WebTV. (She loves your comments and insights, raves about how intelligent you are.)
Keep on commenting! Even when if there's a time I don't agree with your opinions, I still want to know what you have to say.
Lukas's fan base is tremendous, between the Lukatics, the Rossi Posse, and whoever else is out there ... so though I will hurt for him if he doesn't front the band, his fans will follow him from now on. On one sight, he had over 27,000 posts, as compared to the other rockers, a couple who maxxed at around 2,500. There was no one else close. He has fans desperately scrabbling for lyrics and recordings with his previous bands Cleavage and Rise Electric.
As always, love your insights. I couldn't believe how incredible Storm was on that Bowie song; she kicked it up several notches. Magni's voice as always beautiful, but his stage performance is lacking. Toby lacks something for me ... he keeps reminding me of singers you would hear as console-game soundtracks, though I love his attitude and what I've seen of his personality. He's putting forth tremendous effort for this audition. Dilana ... I felt it was lackluster. Both her songs. I used to admire her voice, but it's starting to grate on me; I don't think I could listen to it for a whole album or whole concert. JMHO. ~ciao~ I have to get back to work, so signing off.

Wow now time for my thoughts. I feel everyone who changes their opinion because of one or two shows are not really true fans. I have been a fan of Lukas since day one. Last night he shared of himself to the whole world. For me Lukas has been the winner since week one. I do like the rest and will miss them as much as I do the dark horse. But as far as performance goes Lukas would put on a better show. I can't get the thought how He looked with the guys after their set. Just awesome. And you looked awesome as always last night. Such perfection :p

Are you the same topcat that used to post on the Rogers forums a few years back? The attitude is very similar- I would be surprised if there were two such assholes with the same tag.

Dave, I have to say you are a lot better guitarist than Gilby. He did not show up at all during the 3 performances. I like headspin the best but Ialso enjoyed you and storm. Can you nit replace Gilby? He needs to be updated as well as his song choice, re: toby's dhuring clinic. love ya Dave

Nice job last on Suffragette City, Dave--I was waiting for you to bust out a Deez Nutz in honor of the Times Square incident!
Looking forward to the show tonight, and I have to say, if the House Band is on the SN tour I definitely want to go!
Have a great day, D & Fam,

Nice post Dave giving some love to all the rockers gotta respect that.By the way this whole who "fits" the band thing is a little overrated.I am not saying Marilyn Manson would fit in with Duran Duran or anything like that.
What I am saying is that a really talented musician can do a lot of different things and if they have range and aren't afraid to take chances then they can pull off multiple styles equally well.
People keep saying I didn't really like JD but he really was the best fit.Well yeah he fits because he can adapt he was so versatile last year it was like watching a different performer each time he hit the stage.I don't love Pretty Vegas the INXS version much because I don't like the guitars on it.Buuuttt when Dave and JD dirtied it up I loved it.It was smoking. So to me JD would fit a Velvet Revolver type of band better than he does INXS.But he can do the INXS gig easily enough.
Same deal with Lukas he changes it up.No one else in either season could really do this other than those 2.Talent is talent.
Posted by: KeithMoonLives at September 6, 2006 11:30 AM
I think Magni is done unjustice for a few reasons...! Number one... he is out of the focus, compared to many other contestants, simply because he doesn't master english well enough to spit out witty comments. He doesn't posess the personality to the theatrical acting that the others do all the time. He has been criticized for being dull on stage. There again, the theatrical part... he may well perform otherwise when he is in a concert, doing music ONLY and not just being judged for that ONE performance of the night.
Posted by: magma at September 6, 2006 11:31 AM
Hey, I think we would all rather hear the nitty gritty truth rather than having it be all sugarcoated and unbiased so that it appears some assistant was paid to write on your behalf, you know?
Supernova definitely has a tough decision to make.
I loved Storm's performance last night -- and you definitely helped in making it a memorable performance -- but I must admit that it is about the only performance of hers this whole season that I enjoyed. I am kind of shocked she wasn't eliminated weeks ago; she isn't terrible, but just doesn't really have anything memorable about her except her name. Sorry to say but I think she should be the next to go...
I think Toby is great with the audience, and he shines above the others off stage in songwriting and communicating with the band, however he is a bit predictable and I don't think I could listen to a whole concert or CD of his voice, it starts to annoy me after a bit.
I was a Magni fan from the start. I love his look and his solid performances, but now I am starting to think he may not be right for Supernova.
And Dilana, absolutely LOVE her voice, she was a fav for awhile but in regards to her mistakes, she has got to learn to LET IT GO. I don't think the band could get a tour bus big enough to fit all her emotional baggage!
I absolutely love Lukas' voice and his stage presence is just amazing... I have a feeling Supernova feels differently, but I think he would make a kick ass lead singer.
Tonight shall be interesting...

I came across something interesting today on Lukas' previous vocal coach's blog, regarding Jason thinking he knows better than Lukas how to play his "instrument". Thoughts?
-----------------------------------------------
"The Producers of Rockstar: Supernova shortly after that first episode brought in a Vocal Coach to work with all the contestants on the show. She repeatedly suggested to all of the singers, and particularly to Lukas, to drop the jaw down. All of these singers, including Lukas, started to sound like cats in heat pulled by their tails using their new found technique of jaw-dropping. I presume that if I was to have recorded any of them, the Auto Tuner would have broke as it could not have dealt with the extreme pitch problems that resulted from it. Thats not to mention the potential damage which could be done to ones voice. I find it interesting that one of the judges, who I dont believe has ever sung himself, keeps commenting that Lukas should drop his jaw in order to open up his throat? Wrong!!! Dont ever open up your throat keep it closed unless you want to end up on an operating table and ultimately have your vocal anatomy butchered!"

Hello people.
Magni deserves to be in the final four. That´s how good he is and that´s all there is too it. He is talented, and he is real and a lot of people get that. On top of that he doesn´t take bs from anybody. Respect!

Hi dave,
Long timer lurker, first time poster so I have a ton of comments and questions stored up.
First, I picked up ONE the other day and I'm really digging it. I particularly like Treehouse of the spirits.
Next, Thanks for taking the time to do SRL feeds. As a music fan I really appreaciat the time and effort you put into the shows and I always enjoy listening to them.
Now for questions :)
The topic of the hour is clearly Supernova. I have to ask this question.
To what degree are the post performance comments, made by Yourself and SN, patronizing or just pure politeness? How honest are you all being?
I ask because I (and everyone else I speak to on this) am shocked by the praise given after some of these performences. It goes beyong subjective taste and enters into the realm of 'WTF are they thinking'!?
There is one performer, in particular, who has been consistantly awful in terms of vocal delivery each week. Yet you and SN shock the world with apparent deaf fanaticism in response.
I have to tell ya, evey time I hear you give the thumbs up to this performer I shake my head in disbelief.
I won't drop the performer in questions name here. It would change the dynamic of my post from an honest question to a slanderous comment. I think it should be obvious to anyone who loves music or performs it who I'm talking about, anyway.
So, if possible, let us know what's up.
BTW I love that Axe you played on this weeks show with Storm. Was that one of your personal rigs or was that just something provided for the show?
I'd love to birage you with signal path questions but I think I'll save that for another day :)
Rock on.

At first I laughed out loud when I read the accusations that Dave, or the producers, or creative editing did 'it' to Dilana. Then I just got mad.
Who readily vomited up hateful statements about other contestants to reporters? Who had the meltdown? Who flipped off cameramen ON A REALITY SHOW? Who threw the glass and cut Magni? Who said her song was an F--- You to the fans? Who brings up poor, poor pitiful Dilana every time a camera is pointed her way? Who sits with a pissed off look on her face when everyone else is performing? I'll tell you who. Dilana. So please explain to me how anything was DONE to her?
Another pointer for some of you - PUNCTUATION and SPELL CHECK might make you a tad more credible.

I gotta say I'm a Lukas fan but I think last night was Storm's night and hers alone. You performing was the iciing on the cake!!!! I think Storm's original song was amazing, I can see that as a hit already...I only wish she had've been able to swear...I am convinced now that if a woman is gonna front the band, its gonna be Storm, she's a complete package. I love how you guys can pile on the criticism, and she just takes it like a professional...strong storm...
I thought the whole Dilana torn calf muscle was lame...come on now...did she really have to be carried out? What a trooper!!! *dry sarcasm* We've all torn muscles, it ain't that bad!!! I thought it was a little played out...Remember that gymnast (Japanese I think) who completed a ring rountine, nailed a perfect dismount all on a broken leg, NOW that guy was a trooper...
Posted by: Mel at September 6, 2006 11:42 AM
Oh, yeah! House Band in the... er.. house. I was hoping that the last 5 would go on the road with those guys, but then Ryan made his insane comments and I figured 4 was good enough. I've also heard that The Panic Channel might show up for a few of those gigs, too. That would be great.
Honestly, I don't understand the Luke Love, but to each his own. Toby, on the other hand, took the Killers song, which I love but has a tendency to sound monotone, and delivered in spades. His original was easily the best performance of the show for me.
It's time to lose either Magni or Dilana. Sorry, bud, but the editors tanked her. No way the 50% of the viewing audience who doesn't do the forums or this blog are going to get past the point of view presented. I can't imagine how having all your worst points edited together must feel, but I don't think Dilana will bounce back.
Against my prior judgement, Toby now seems strongest. Thanks for getting on that stage. It was a treat.

Oops sory about the double post!!
Posted by: Debbiedoo at September 6, 2006 11:46 AM
OMFG!!! Last night was awsome! All the performers were amazing except for Dilana - it seems she has just given up. for me however, Lukas is still the guy. He brings something the others don't - raw, real emotion. He laid himself bare on that stage last night - only a true artist can do that. the others are great entertainers and if SN is just looking for a sure short-term seller to make a quick buck - then Toby or Storm will do it for them. I'm hoping these guys have the balls to go in a new direction and help to change the face of today's music. Rock and Roll should be about more than sex and partying (although there's nothing wrong with that! lol). Lukas brings so much more to the table - pain, sorrow, love, intensity. I could feel his pain during Headspin and feel his love on the Bon Jovi song. This guy is in a class by himself. Please, Please, Please guys - don't take the easy road - go for something real and life changing!!!! You won't regret it.

Dave,
I might be the only one who thought you and Storm were awkward together. There, I said it. She did give an awesome performance, tho.
Toby has some undeniable chemistry w/ the group...both fun and serious. I would love to see them rocking together as a band.
Lukas is very cool. Just not sure the chemistry is there.
Magni...pack yer bags and thanks for the ride.
Dilana...such a sad story b/c she's lost it and she knows it. I really thought at one time that she was going to win.
I think it's Toby or Lukas...I guess. Not super excited about any of them. But individually, they're each incredibly talented.
How important is that sense of chemistry for a band...isn't it HUGE?
SN has got to know who they want by now, right?!?!

After just reading through the comment and the whole conspiracy theory and being sheep, I just have to comment. Lets say that it is all set up and votes don't count and they already know who they are going to pick. Does it really matter? This is entertaining regardless and we are watching a process nonetheless. If many of us have changed our minds, how could supernova have not as well? For that hour I sit in front of the TV, I am completely entertained and that is all that matters to me. In a week when this is all over, I'll bitch and complain about the elections coming up and actually care if that is all a conspiracy because that matters more than my entertainment being fixed!!

What is wrong with you people knocking Dave and saying he knocks Dilana? Dilana did it to herself, I still like her stage performances she does have an edge. If you remember correctly he was the one that liked her the most! The singers are getting stronger and she peaked from the beginning now its harder as everyone is great. Dilana is the one that keeps bringing it up NOT DAVE.. get over it already... AAACK! Dave keep your opinions coming if people dont like them they can read elsewhere!

I finally figured it out last night....everytime Lukas opens his mouth, he sounds like a Goth Carol Channing. I can now rest easy.
Go ladies!

Wow, imagine expressing your own opinion on a blog. That is pretty weird. It really is unacceptable – how dare you? It was a really great show last night. I am not a big Storm fan. In the past, her performances always seemed good - but a little dull or formulaic or something. But after watching last night, I am thinking part of what bothers me is just the way she moves on stage to the music. At time it looks like the movements she makes are completely unrelated to the music and look choreographed or forced or something. Maybe she is just nervous. Anyway, I hope she gets a chance to watch the performance last night because - Dave had all the moves. And it made a huge difference in the overall energy. You really were great. I am so glad you decided to perform because it was awesome. Last night, I had to vote for Lukas, Toby and Storm. So I basically agree with you. Couldn’t vote for Dilana, she is beginning to disappoint me. Although, I am sure she has some excuse lined up – something like that she has never seen a reality television show before and was unfamiliar with how the whole thing worked. Yeah, that’s it. Magni is beginning to grow on me, but we don’t have 5 more weeks of this thing - so he had better flat out do something amazing soon. Anyway, don’t let the comments get you down. I come here to read your opinions. Just scan for content, consider the source…and move on. Have a great time at the show tonight. I guess there have to be some advantages to living in LA.

Whoever said Storm is off key has no ear. I'm a pro singer, and I have never heard her off key in this competition. Storm and Toby were clearly the front runners last night, and Lukas seems like a decent songwriter ... but for me, I just can't get past never being able to understand his lyrics. I also don't care for the vocal theatrics that don't seem genuine to me. I wish him well, but I can't see him in front of Supernova.

I am a fan of the Rockstar show and feel very lucky that I am able to watch these talented rockers strut their stuff a few nights a week. I also feel very fortunate that this show has turned me onto Panic Channel and Mr. Dave Navarro (Not saying this in a gay way, not that there is anything wrong with that , but rather in a way of respect.)
I would not say that I have a favorite rocker, I am just enjoying the music.
Me thinks that this has now changed. Listening to Headspin by Lukas was so totally enthralling. I have been listening to this all day, can't get it out of my head and I am totally loving it. The song is so deep and passionate and just plain out rocks...........so I guess I am now in the Lukas camp.
Great show and great job Dave!!

Hi Dave:
Loved last night's show and great to see you perform. I have always enjoyed Storm - her live videos on Youtube.com are phenominal. She has a way of drawing in her audience and making you feel like you're part of something. I don't think that doing one song gives her the opportunity to do that so it's been missing from the show.
Dilana seems to be self-destructing a bit right now because I think her confidence is compromisec. She's a great performer though, so who knows.
I can't wait for tonight's show and next week will be awesome. Sad that it's almost over though..

Here we are down to the end game.
Let’s see if Tommy is smart or DUMB; now I know this poor guy has only an 80-IQ. But the word on the street is that the Supernova concert tickets are moving slower than a Russian bureaucrat after a 2-liter Vodka lunch. So let’s get down to some smart business.
We all know that Lukas is the inside front runner since he has two legs up on the competition. One he has played with and is a known quantity by certain members of Supernova. Two, he is represented by insider music industry legal talent. These two facts are more than likely the reason Janet Charlton has come out that Lukas is the winner.
So let us assume Charlton is right and Lukas is the winner, fore gone conclusion pre chosen one, fixed contest, ringer, whatever. What would be the smart business move? Clearly Dilana has a following as does Magni, Toby and Storm. The only way to turn the NO SALE sign off and really get to selling some tickets. The way to do this is to invite some of the other players to share the bill with Lukas-Supernova line-up. Here is why this would work; the average ticket price is $70.00 each. So her is my example Joe and Jane Rocker love Dilana and Joe Rocker likes the hotness of Storm’s eye candy appeal, as does Jane Rocker like Toby without his shirt. They also enjoy the crazy near out of control qualities of Dilana.
They might see the value of $70.00 a ticket to see a bill of Storm and Toby as an opening act, then watch Dilana as the warm-up act of crazy Rocking and finally seeing the boys from Super Geezer staring Lukas.
In reality Supernova does not have the material to do a two hour show and will have to fill the void with covers from GnR, MC and Metallica.
As for Magni – dude a solo tour with the house band and release your first single - Hendricks’s “Fire - you are better than Supernova on their best day sober or drunk.
So there you have it a plan to pull this on coming train wreck from the fire.
Dave Navarro’s Tool: Mr. Majestic
Ahhhh ha, I see that someone was listening and NOW the HouseBand is the warm-up act for Super Geezer sorry Magni. I will leave before the little light in the loafers, Canadian furit bar takes the stage.

OFF TOPIC
Dave,
I went out to www.pandora.com and put in The Panic Channel. If you are not familer with pandora, they play songs by the artist you put in, and SAME TYPE of music from other artists. I just thought it was cool that one of the other artists that they play with The Panic Channel is Marty Casey (Rain on the Brain).
Keep coming with the comments. That is one of the main reasons alot of people watch, and we arn't teeny boppers. My wife is 35, and I am a 49 year old retired Marine, you don't get any less teeny bopper than that. Fuck the jerks with attitudes, they are without a clue.

I usually fast forward, thanks to Tivo, through Storms performances cause I am not that big of a fan, HOWEVER, when you got up there to jam with her, oh was i focused! You are such a beautiful man, Dave and I love you ever so much!
As for the performances, i do have to say that I really liked Storm's original song. That was really awesome.
All the guys and gals left are just great. It will be hard to kick anyone off now.
Lots of love and kisses

Dave,
I am a reality junkie....must admit it. I watched Rock Star last year and loved the diversity that the artists had. When this show first started, I was capitvated by Dilana, and through weeks and performances that followed I was/am still hooked by her burning desire to front this band. With that said, everyone of these rockers have not been 100% strong throughout this competition. Dilana was the strongest until her "human comments" were aired in front of millions of people. Toby, while he has been hot the past couple of weeks, was not strong in the beginning. Storm....love her attitude and her compasion, but as it was said before, she has not grown. This week she has received her biggest praise from Supernova, and we are in week 10. Lukas....what can I say about him......in the beginning he was a prick to everyone..totally dislike the raise eyebrown when he was out done by others, hated the fact that when Toby was choosen by Supernova to sign before him, he was the only one who did not stand and applause his "friends"...now we see a sensitive side of his world....and oh....lets not forget the negative comments about his voice being closed off.... and let me remind you that he openly admitted that he forgot the words to a song. Magni has a great voice, but his stage presence is a bit weird and stale! My bottom line is that each of this rockers have had their ups and downs! Lets not forget that they have not been 100% throughout this competition! I am a Dilana fan...and you are too. Let's not forget all those captivating performances before and after her faulty side was revealed.

Here is the deal, Dave.....
Lukas is gonna be the vocalist for Supernova.
Dilana will get booted out before the season is through.............
And Ryan Star will be the a Very Very successful dude by the same time next year....will sell millions.
So who profited the most from this season of Rockstar(And I know there will be another season)??
Ryan Star!!!
Keep Rocking...

So Dave can it be?
That the ticket pre-sells SUCK so bad that the MBA\'s who run the numbers have asked you and Steve to bring The Panic Channel to this ill conceived SuperNova thing?
So there you have it a single price show:
1) The House Band
2) The Panic Channel
and
3) SuperNova
Now that would be a show where I may get a value for my dough.
Do this Dave.

While I have thoughts on everyone remaining.. I just simply don't get something: What is it about Lukas that people like so much? I personally can't stand his singing. I think there's only one song I've heard him do this entire season that he did OK on.
Like others, I think Dilana has basically been crushed under the pressure. She made a mistake, no doubt. But, the editors of the show didn't help either. I wonder what everyone truly said at the interviews. Not to mention there's been some distasteful comments made by others earlier on in the season as well.
I do definitely agree that Magni's performances are pretty much the same. I definitely also agree that he's a hell of a vocalist. I think he's definitely got a good chance at being number one.
Storm rocked last night. She did a simply awesome job. I haven't been a big fan of hers over the season, but she's definitely got balls. I definitely see her being up there as well.
Didn't care so much for Toby at the beginning of the season, but I think he's starting to come out of his shell. His song last night absolutely rocked. Definitely quite a bit of energy.
If I were to guess who would take it for Supernova, at the moment it'd be Toby. Magni is a real close second, but I think the thing that will kill him is his stage presence, even though vocally he's great. Storm I think could have it, but like others have said, I don't think SN is looking for a female to front the band. That being said, I think Dilana definitely had it at one point. Then the interviews, and she's been pretty much downhill from there. And finally Lukas. Sorry, I just can't stand him. Would love to see him go home tonight.
Overall, very interesting opinions overall I see on here. Definitely don't agree with some of them, and no doubt many won't agree with mine.
Dave, great to see ya play last night man! You and Storm definitely rocked!

Greetings Dave:
Last night you and Storm rocked! Thank you for giving us a little Navarrofix.
To me after the Dave & Stormy show there is only one person on the stage:
LUKAS LUKAS LUKAS
Lukas can sing the phone book and make me swoon.
It is very encouraging to hear the other rockers will also be on tour and the magnificent House Band. I was hoping this would happen because they are all so talented.
Please tell Lukas his performance of Headspin completely gobsmacked us all in a good way.
Sending you many Bisous (kisses in French)

I'm a Storm fan to the end - and have been for years now - but you guys do realize that the show is edited, right? The "faces" Dilana makes throughout the show when the camera pans to her could just as well be her staring off into space while everyone takes a bathroom break as much as it could be her looking sad about the performances. Frankly, though I'm a die-hard Storm fan, I thought the treatment she got on camera lastnight was terrible and she deserves to leave the show with some dignity after all the ratings she brought in. I always thought most of her performances were praised far too much for how average and constantly repetitive and predictable they were, but under no circumstances does a performer who pours their heart out to the world and wants their dream so bad deserve to be set up for a fall and then humiliated on international television like this. Frankly, it makes me really sad to watch.
As far as performances, Storm was miles above everyone lastnight alone and with Navarro. In fact, it looked like you both had played together for years. It just looked RIGHT. You should do it again before the end of the season. Maybe on Ladylike again. Storm has the stage presence and will to be more than the lap-dog I think the others (especially Toby) would be. She'd be a driving force in the band rather than someone that just does what they're told and hopes for the best. You saw that lastnight when every time you tried to hog the spotlight, she took it right back. And that isn't to detract from you. IT WORKED. And it LOOKED INSANE.
Toby comes a distant second behind Storm. I've heard people say about Storm since lastnight "NOW I get Storm!". Well, brother, NOW I get Toby. I wouldn't want two hours of him and I wouldn't want a full album of him, I don't think, but the writes some great fun lyrics and he just brings a lot of joy, clearly, if not much variety.
Magni was middle of the road for me again. He and Storm have the biggest and most giving hearts in the competition, but I think it is time for him to go since someone has to. We would welcome him to Portland any time, though.
Yet again, Lukas would be tolerabe if you could understand what he's saying. He did get completely lost in the shadow of Supernova onstage a few weeks ago, though. The one thing I did like was Headspin and that's only because I could understand his lyrics for once.
Dilana falls into line at the bottom. No slight against her. It was a great night and two performers blew the roof off . . . she had a lot to compete against. I just didn't care much for her Who cover (not bad, not great) and her original was . . . less than original. Doesn't Depeche Mode have a song called "Supersoul Highway"? And all I could think of during her song was the Hare Krshna's; they believed in attaining the "Supersoul". However, performance wise, I thought she brought so much energy. I think the thing I hated the most was that she was so uncomfortable to watch hopping around on stage. And more, why did they have to carry her out and show that on live television? That should have been edited out rather than making it something to project her as more "pathetic".
Anyway, I don't see how Lukas or Dilana can be a viable choice at this point. And I don't think Magni is even in the running (though my best wishes to him -- he had the best reply of the night when he explained to Tommy why both songs sounded alike!) -- but I think this game now has to finish up with Toby versus Storm. I want Storm to win with every ounce of my supersoul, but if Toby were to win . . . Dude, I can see that. I could dig that. I probably wouldn't pay for tickets or buy an album, but . . . evs, man.

Dave, as many others above have said, you rocked it last night. It was awesome to see you on stage. Wish I had been there in person to experience your smoking hottness on stage first hand. Hope to be there this weekend and next week for the finale.
Interesting that Jason got almost zero air time for comments last night. While SN will pick the winner, your comments are the most valuable to the performers and the audience.
Can't wait for tonight's show to see who America favors and who SN kicks off. And next week the finale will blow the lid - who knows what those guys are thinking and who will win.
As I am now a Dave addict, please give us SRL as often as possible with your busy schedule. Without a dose of Dave on Tues and Weds nights, we need something to keep us going. There is ONe to listen to, but it's not the same as experiencing Dave's spirit, intelligence and personality live.
Respectfully yours,

STORM ROCKED!
She's been boring me the past 3 weeks (which I know are the dregs of the song selection but heh, it is a competition!) and I had moved on to other favorites because of it. I have always felt that she offers SN a MARKETING EDGE that noone else does which results in the whole package I think they are looking for, but the stage performances have been lackluster. Until last night! I have had 'Ladylike' in my head all day and she just blew everyone else out of the water.
She looked completely comfortable between songs and in interacting with you, had a good repor with the audience, had an amazing original song and just ROCKED!
If Fergie, who is a mediocre beauty (even after the plastic surgery) can give media attention to a mediocre band like Black-eyed Peas, then imagine what a beauty and presence Storm can give to SN for marketing purposes. I did take the time to listen to her songs and the produced songs sound awesome...of course live performances change up the voice control a bit but her warm contralto voice sounds really good on an album. All I have to say is go to www.stormlarge.com and look at the main graphic there. THAT is an album cover that will sell records!
Toby - energetic and consistent. He is the golden retriever of the group...everyone wants to pet him and play with him! He's a safe/generic choice, but in the long run, will make SN less memorable. If he's the choice for SN, he'll sound perfect on those Honda commercials!
Lukas - He's boring me lately, but he is solid. More original than Toby for sure.
Dilana - I feel the SN video editors have been really harsh on her and feel bad for her. She has been performing badly as a result. She's a solid performer but doesn't have much cattle under that hat.
Magni - BORRRRINNGGG! He has zero energy on stage. His casual stroll during entire songs just don't do it for me. Jump around or something! Good vocals though!
I think Magni or Dilana will be gone tonight! And great job last night Dave!

I read the spoilers too. Surprised at the exit? Yes. Then again in the end, it's for SN to decide, not us.
Posted by: Andi at September 6, 2006 12:36 PM
My votes last night went for everyone BUT Lukas and Dillana. Here is why.
Dillana's unjust, superior, diva-esque attitude has more than taken it's toll on her performances. I too, believed she was the only choice for Supernova but her repeated offenses have made her lose her edge. My hope for the results show is that the fans who vote at home will say f*ck off to her, the same way she did to them with the unimpressive lyrics she put together for the Supernova track.
On to Lukas. First let's address his cover of the Bon Jovi classic, Living On A Prayer. I know the song very well and yet couldn't understand what he was singing until he got to the chorus. If he plans to make any kind of career out of singing, he better start working on his diction, because DAMN. Next, he needs to adopt his own style of performing instead of pathetically immitating Scott Weiland or (as someone else mentioned) an old Mick Jaggar. I'd have more respect for him. I also agree that he should have performed an original that had more "steam"; his two performances seemed to blend too easily together.
I voted for Storm, Magni and Tobe last night because they each seem to *want* this more. Every week and with every performance, they have each proven that they are willing to fight for this amazing opportunity instead of believing/assuming they have this all wrapped up.

So is the reason that Tommy's comment at Tuesday's show about "Lukas, you are the frontman I have always dreamed of having" and Jason's "Lukas, you play the music we want to play" which were then followed up with a quick "Oh, not that the show is over by a long shot! Anyone could win. We haven't picked anyone already, honest!" -- is the reason that was edited out of the television broadcast because it was bullshit and everyone would detect it? It seems like they clearly want a MAN to front the band. We know they aren't going to pick magni. And as much as Toby has started to rock, we know they probably won't pick him... so it's clear that the guy they wanted to win the first day is the guy that's going to win 90 days later.
Congratulations, Lukas! All the twelve year old girls will have yet another idol to post on their bedroom walls! And now you won't have to work at hoooters anymore!

I agree with your opinion that Magni should be the one to go tonight.
Its obvious that Dilana has a great ability to please a crowd and so does Storm-
but not on her own.
I loved Storms performance last night but- no offense to her- i think she was mostly feeding off your energies. The thing about Storm is that her performances are not consistently good. So i only think her performance was good last night because of your help.

Dave,
Why in the hell didn't you guys stone Dilana to death on stage last night? It would have been kinder than airing the edited, nasty film clips about Dilana right before her performance. Talk about kicking someone in the guts after a hard fall! What the hell is wrong with you people?
You and CBS have disappointed me with the drama for the past weeks. I stinks of ratings! I am inclined to call you the Jerry Springer of Rock & Roll.
I hope you clean up YOUR ACT tonight! I really do like you and LOVE your music. You are a first rate performer, articulate and great! Please treat people with respect.

Oy... enough with the spoilers! That's what I get for browsing through the posts...
Anyway, another great show. Everyone gave their all, and it was GREAT to see Dave up there. Awesome Camp Freddy flashbacks happening!
With all due respect to Storm, I feel, as a few others do, that her rendition of "Suffragete City" was decent, but not amazing. IMO, her vocals did not fit the bombastic nature of the song. Not a criticism, just a personal taste thing. I think she is extremely talented.
She did a really good job on the original song, but Gilby (or was it Jason?) said it best: It was a great STORM LARGE song. To me, it didn't fit what SN seems to be shooting for.
That said, apparently many of the contestants will be touring with SN and the House Band... so it's all good.
IMO, Toby was, by far, the best last night, in terms of being a good "fit" with the band. He was energetic, sexy, rocking... I FELT like I was at a rock concert when he was performing.
A close 2nd was Lukas. He was awesome... Shoot, he even made a flippin' Bon Jovi song sound good! But I felt his set was a little too mopey and angst-ridden.
Dilana/Magni... Both good, but neither stood out in any way last night. And I just don't know if I buy the calf thing. It seemed like a red herring. But that's just me.
In any case, it's fun to witness all of this, and it will be exciting to see who wins. Fortunately, I have no emotional investment in any particular person, so it's all good.
Ciao for now,
Posted by: Denise at September 6, 2006 01:02 PM
Whoever said storm hasnt' been consistant is high. Storm has taken the worst songs that nobody wanted every week and blown the roof off the house. Are you suggesting Dilana has been consistant? She's taken great songs and done average things with them. There is "I'm singing low and slow" dilana and there is "I'm singing low and loud" dilana. Every performance has been predictable, except the ones where she didn't just do average but completely sucked and forgot the words and even had Supernova scratching their heads. And now I'm not feeling so bad about the bullshit treatment she has been getting in the editing room at Mark Burnet Productions. I mean, it looks like the winner was already selected 90 days ago -- Lukas or Dilana. So if it's Dilana, then all this drama and shit she has gone through seems to be well worth it.
As for feeding off Dave's energy? Whatever, you little crack monkey. You have clearly never seen Storm perform live before. She IS the energy.
But I'll let you get back to cutting your wrists in the wrong direction while listening to Chemical Romance and whistfully hating your life or whatever you do.

Really pissed and disappointed about how the show goes tonight, but that's they way it goes. No need to watch anymore for me. But, I will say I've really grown to like you a lot the past few weeks Dave. You and Storm were awesome last night!
Posted by: rj at September 6, 2006 01:03 PM
Storm's original song was garbage. "What the What" spare me, that's disgustingly bad. She's way too man-like for my tastes.
Posted by: buggout at September 6, 2006 01:04 PM
I also used to be a Dilana fan but due to her latest childish behavior and comments I no longer support her. Although who knows what goes on behind closed doors and what everyone else is saying in the mansion. The problem with Dilana is she just CAN'T LET IT GO. I flipped to Toby or Storm. I was always on the fence abut Storm but seeing her interact with Dave was fantastic.
BTW, Tommy Lee is going to be on Regis and Kelly this Friday. That should be real interesting.
Posted by: Carol at September 6, 2006 01:04 PM
I enjoy your opinion and look forward to it everyday. The truth is I wonder who can go the distance. Storms original was great, but she is not always on top. Maybe conver songs are not for her. Toby is just a recent fling of energy. Personally, will he make it long distance? Lukas..I just can't understand a word of what he says. I thought his cover sucked and his original was okay. Magni seemed to stay the same throughout and Dilana was consistant until the whole episode with the interview. Can anyone go the distance with originality and be willing to grow. Can anyone of them do a show night after night and still sound fresh? I know you said that they sound different on TV compared to live, but won't they have oppurtunities to be on camera in the future? Shouldn't their abilities show in both areas? With all the technology out there and it changes constantly who knows how we will hear music years from now. Shouldn't the frontperson be capable and able to do all of the above? Just a thought.
Posted by: 2bcrazy at September 6, 2006 01:09 PM
Dave, your guitar playing last night was killer! Loved it. More please.
As I read through these comments I wonder how you stay sane. Why people are surprised that you voice your thoughts on Rock Star just baffles me. Um, like you said -- it's your job.
I love that you offer commentary and also tell it like it is. And speaking of telling like it is, exactly WTF do some of these rockers think being a celebrity is all about? If you're in the public eye you are going to draw criticism, it's just part of the job. I very much dislike Dilana b/c of her attitude about this reality. She is very defensive and combative when she is called on something. Does she think it's going to get better if she wins? It won't. I really hope she does not win this thing.
Dave, you and the House Band (yes, and Brooke too) are the best parts of the show. Love the new Panic Channel cd as well. Thanks for all the time you spend on your fans.
Posted by: Charles at September 6, 2006 01:12 PM
As a Canadian, I am definitely biased, but Lukas is the only performer that will make me want to go out and buy the cd immediately.
I like some of the others, but for me, he is distancing himself from Dilana now.

Er ... hm. I won't bash on any of the remaining contestants; they each have their strengths and weaknesses, and what is one person's cup of tea may not be another's. They are ALL talented in different ways. But I did feel compelled to comment on Honesty's post.
There have been numerous threads done to attempt to figure out the age range of Lukas's fan base. The average is around 30 and, yes, female. I'm 37. My mother is 65. We are both huge fans of his, which is almost a little scary for me. :) Most of Lukas's fans have been from their mid-20s to their late-40s. Only a few teenagers have popped up; granted, they may not be posting on the boards. But when there are 20,000-27,000 posts (20,000 on one, 27,000 on another) on two thread dedicated to Lukas, and around 1,000 people posting on those threads, and virtually none are teenagers ... well, you do the math.
Please do not compare Lukas's fans to teenyboppers. Most of us are mature, educated rock fans. Like Dilana fans. Like Toby fans. Like Storm fans. Etc., ad nauseum.
Having your favorite and critiquing and offering opinions, as Dave does so eloquently and others on here have also ... that's cool. Bashing on fans because they like someone you don't ... that's trolling.

A big thank you Dav for playing last night. That was so wild...You and Storm rocked the house. I'm still a Dilana fan, but the boys were right when they said that Toby puts the fun in rock in roll. Dilana is enchanting, but she is alittle depressed these days and its coming out loud and clear.
I'm still waiting for you to run around the pool naked...Your in my dreams.

I'll agree on Magni. He's so stable that he bores me a little bit. He didn't before, but for some reason I've started tuning him out like I did to other rockers earlier in the season. It's kind of like ... there was a band I liked, and I enjoyed their music for the first album and then the second ... but after a certain point, all their music kept sounding like the same two songs over and over again and I just got tired of it. That's how I feel about Magni.
I guess I'll have to wait 'til tonight to see what happens.
And, huh? No opinions for Dave? 'Cause you're just on Rockstar to showcase your chest and just on this blog to better your typing skills, right? Of course.
Posted by: Bunzor at September 6, 2006 01:22 PM
Dave I sure did have a good time by my self thinking of you last night!!!!
Fuck Storm, just because she does good ONE time, no no no, she does not deserve it, come on people.
love ya

First time commenting on this blog. Dave, I'd like to commend you on keeping up on this blog and not censoring your opinions here. I think it's fucking great when musicians grasp how the internet can work in their favor by becoming closer to their fans. Kudos!
Dilana. She pulled me in with her first three amazing performances. Then it just became painful to watch as a fan. I can't help but cringe when I see her go onstage and how she talks as though she already knows that she's gone. It's too bad, it does seem as though she's had near misses in the past regarding her career and it makes me think that her self-destruction may have been her biggest obstacle in the past and continues to be today as well.
I think Toby brings a certain energetic element to his performances that I find catchy. He really does seem able to pull the crowd in. It's not as an intense pull as say, Dilana's Lithium performance, but I'm betting to see a Toby Rand show would be to leave the show feeling pumped up and electrified. He seems like a cool laid back guy to have a beer with.
I find Magni is spot-on every time. However I have to agree that I'd love to see him get dirty with his performances. Which is why I enjoyed his original last night, he really brought it with his vocals.
I'm having a hard time with all the Lukas love myself. In fact, I find it hilarious that all his fans are digging the internet to look for music from his previous band, Cleavage. I live in Ontario and Cleavage used to come through every few months about five, six years ago. I caught the tail end of their opening act several times and can't even recall how their music sounded like. Needless to say, I wasn't very impressed back then and I'm not impressed with the guy now.
And than there's Storm. I've enjoyed her performances throughout the season and came across some vids of her previous/current bands on youtube and holy mother of god, I think she's brilliant. And last night, she really came out of herself and fucking killed onstage. I'm now a Storm Large fan and will follow everything she does after the show. The onstage chemistry between you and Storm, Dave, was just fucking classic.
In all honesty, I have Storm's original running through my head whereas I can recall a bit of Toby's and none of the others. What the fuck is ladylike if ladies like to do what the fuck they like just like you, yeah, just like you. Love it. Will buy it. Will follow the Storm wherever she may go.
Hope you have Storm on SRL whenever the boys decide to cut her loose! Count me in as new SRL fan as well, love the guerilla music of the internet. Keep it up Dave!

Have read the spoilers and let's just say that I am shocked after last night, a little pissed, must mostly releived that I can no STOP watching that show, and thankfully it came BEFORE I wasted money on SN tickets. Whew...

To the person that posted about Lukas' fan base - age....Anyone can "say" they are older than puberty years just to make the attempt to prove someone wrong. Don't believe everything you read on here. lol

Final the best Rocker on the couch got up and played. it was what I have been waiting for 2 seasons now. I do agree with you about magni. Nice guy but stiff. every week his performance is the same like tommy said. Actually my favorite Rocker went home RYAN. Love his CD "eye of the elephant". You should play it on your radio station but he will do better on his own. So now I am predicting it will go to either Lucas or Toby. They seem more like supernova guys. Some reason I cant picture a women in the band, only in their beds, Sorry!
Again Thanks for finally Rocking it. Hope you play some more!!!
Posted by: ANNA at September 6, 2006 01:32 PM
Dave, Thank you for being the first rocker to stand up and ROCK with Storm instead of sitting on your hands and just telling her that she needed to rock with you. The two of you ROCKED the HOUSE!
Now if only someone will please hand Dilana her crutches and tell her that she has "lost that lovin feelin" and boot her gimp butt off the show I will be happy. The past two weeks her eyes are dead. The fire is gone. The Dilana we loved has leftthe building. The STORM is coming in. With a MAGNItude of ice. It is a force TO BY recconed with. Be sure to watch out for the LUKASt.
Posted by: Jennifer at September 6, 2006 01:33 PM
Magni - best voice, good guy, boring on stage.
Storm - best attitude, interesting to watch.
Dilana - best overall performer until recently, too much drama, melting down fast.
Lukas - worst voice but has riveting, edgy 'rock star' type quality.
Toby - most fun, possibly best fit for SN's 'good time' type of music.
Prediction -Lukas will win because he will help them sell the most.

Where the F**K have all of you been reading or seeing the spoiler info? How are you finding out who gets the boot before the show airs? PLEASE someone tell me!!!!!
Thanks

Cha-Ching
Did you and Tommy just find your "Pretty Vegas" for this season with Toby's original. I'm sure that you guys have some publishing rights attached to all the original songs and that song will make you some money. Not dark and brooding, but a hook driven money song. I personally think that most of your PanicChannel songs are really great, and as a guitar player you are definatly a straight flush. SN has got to pull out some decent tunes cause the last ones that we heard are not going to sell out a national tour. Crue/Metallica/GNR fans are more rabid than the crap the've come up with so far.
My 2 cents

This just in....2000 year old man big fan of Lukas Rossi.
If you're old enough to know who the 2000 year old man is you're WAY past puberty :)
Posted by: B A Hughes at September 6, 2006 01:44 PM
Dave,
You are one of the best guitar rock performers in a very long time. Was great seeing you perform!
I hate to see Dilana imploding like she is, though she isn't my favorite to win, there is no denying she has major talent.
Toby, I don't see why everyone is fawning after him after his song last night. That was NOT a rock song, it was a POP song. Someone needs to tell him he is on ROCKSTAR Supernova and not AMERICAN IDOL. Besides he is boring. Though I have a feeling he is going to win because Gilbey always looks at him with goo-goo eyes.
Storm did an excellent job last night, I love Bowie and Navarro so maybe that had something to do with it. But, her original song was kicking as well. Great Job by Storm.
I like Magni, and I like his performances. I think he needs to grow more as an artist though before he is ready to front a major band.
Finally, my boy Lukas. He gives me chills everytime he performs. His stripped down Bon Jovi was great, and his original song rocked. I love Lukas bevcause he doesn't do Karaoke covers like Toby and Storm.
Posted by: QueerMan at September 6, 2006 01:47 PM
I couldn't disagree with you more about Magni,he is the greatest singer of all five left, and if SN let him go, they don't recognize talent even if they walked right into it.
You seem to prefer all the other four left to Magni, I grant you that Storm is quite a character and singer, and so are Lukas and Dilana, but Toby? Sure, he can belt out a tune, but he tries to hard, what he is doing on stage doesn't come naturally to him. With Magni, however, you get exactly what you see, a great singer and a great character. Who could ask for more?
Posted by: Mia at September 6, 2006 01:47 PM
Hey Dave,
I have to tell you HOW PISSED OFF I WAS LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right when you hopped up on stage...dah da ta dah....this special news reports on the elections! I was like...I don't give a FUCK about the elections, Dave and Storm are on the stage....missed the whole damn thing. So So pissed off. Will there be a re-run of the show?
Damn it, Damn it, Damn it!!
Posted by: ChristineE at September 6, 2006 01:48 PM
Everyone appears to be a critic. You all talk like your the only person who knows what's best for SN. Anyway, Dave I hope you don't absorb too much of the crap posted in here.
Lukas is the only real artist with any depth and while others slept through have of these three months only to show up when the money bag is visible. Let's remember that Lukas has been solid. I think i'd want a solid performer who doesn't change like a chameleon to match each no sn's song's vibe. [Toby]. I've read Tommy's book]. I would assume he is done with beer on the beach rock and roll and is inspired to do something with a little more meaning then boning girls and beer. If not. Well what a waste of time watching this show has been. I had higher hopes for SN. With Luck Lukas will win.

as a teenager in the late 80's hearing Lukas's arrangement of living on a prayer pissed me off. that song is classic jersey storytelling. I couldn't understand a word that came out of his mouth, the melody was lost by his amateur hour guitar playing ick, living on a prayer strips down nicely, he did it no justice. people can say he took a risk,& blah blah, but he wound up driving a shitty truck route in west manhattan with that one.

Dave, I thought you and Storm were awesome. I also think she is awesome, with a great original song and insane stage presence that can co-exist with SN. I hope she and Toby are in the finals and I've changed my opinion from the start of the show. Personally, I find Magni boring, and Lucas mumbles! I could never listen to an hour of him. Curious to see what they will decide tonight. I've always loved Dilana until lately when she glares at the other contestants and does not display a good attitude. It gets very tiresome! But I think Magni should go.

Does anyone know why Luca's first song is not on the Rockstar site? His is the only one missing; I wonder if the taping was damaged or something.
Posted by: Serenityelf at September 6, 2006 01:57 PM
TeaBagger:
You can find all the spoilers at StormLarge.com -- and possibly RockBand.com. Plenty of regulars at both attend tapings and spill the beans via cell phone immediately after.
The results in both sites have been known for several hours now. It sucks that some people have let the cat out of the bag in this forum, though.:(

Oh, for the people that seem to insist a Lukas fan is a child your very dilluded and presumptive, dillusional even. I'd think those 12 year old girly fans you keep mentioning are more apt to enjoy someone who feels he needs to strip his shirt off and write thinks on his stomach to get a reaction.
I like that Lukas has allowed his music to speak for itself and the negative comments are as good as money in the bank as well as the good comments. Fact is, for many, their comments have been revolving around Lukas for 3 months. Good and bad.
I enjoyed your stadium comments last night because I agree. I simply do not see any of them ever having a hope of filling 40k-60k seat stadiums. Lukas I can see doing that. Artists from the days of old didn't walk on stage first time with half the skill of this young man. Rock music is dying and I am very glad a show like this is putting it back on the map. Heck if we can't beat them we might as well join them and beat them at their own game. Start developing these artists that record company's never will because all they want is a buck with zero integrity. If your not selling sex or gold teeth props don't bother applying.
Ya. I am happy to see a potential for singers like Lukas to have a chance in a world where musical integrity and style apparently has no place. I get a bit sick of the american idol people criticizing every nuance of someones voice. They apparently haven't been to the 60 odd concerts over the last 30 years I have been too. Or they would take their heads firmly out of their assholes. Take care Dave and I haven't a clue if you read this. I can only hope.

Last comment. For the people that complain about their precious bon jovi song being changed. Get a grip. I went to Bon jovi eons ago in syracuse new york but it was more to see the first act skid row. If your panties are in a bunch because your favourite bon jovi song was changed your listening and watching the wrong tv show. Break our your crue records and GET REAL. Bon Jovi is just about as lame a hair band as there ever was.

Dave,
I love everyones comments on the show and your take of what you see live. I like the fact that you can give me a little more to think about than what was just put in front of my face on the tv. I am able to think for myself...but, when you are not a musician or not musically inclined reading and hearing comments from others helps to open you up to more than you do on your own. Thank you for that. I have one huge favor to ask of you though.... I listened last week when you had Ryan Star on your broadcast...loved it... are you or could you get and interview from everyone in the next two weeks or so as the show wraps up and is finished? Dont really want to see an over edited interview on ET or anything like that. Want to hear the real grit from all the performers. Love ya Dave....Keep it up. AND your CD which I just purchased....KICKS SOME MAJOR ASS...Thanks Dude.

Hey Dave, I just want to say it was awesome watching you play last night, and I think in addition to being a hottie, you're one smart dude.
Posted by: Wendy at September 6, 2006 02:14 PM
Mr. Dave Navarro you are one rad dude. Smokin hot too (but you have to already know that). I want to thank you for all your honesty with regards to SN. It is funny, if you say great things about peoples favorite then they are lovin all over you but, if you say something they do not like they are hatin all over you. Lame. You are entittled to your opinion and have your favorites, like we all do. As far as the Dilana things goes I DO NOT think it was creative editing that made her look bad. Had she not done or spoken the words she did there would be nothing to edit. Unfortunately, she did it all herself. I think she is a really great singer and will hopefully go far. She needs to move on. I agree with you with Magni. Loved his original last night I thought it totally rocked and I was suprised with it. I just feel he does not have enough stage presence. I kind of feel that he will be going home tonight as well. I loved seeing you up there with Storm. You looked hot and sounded great. I think she is a class act. She is always up there rockin out with everyone, it is cool to see. My man is Lukas. I love this guy and I can not get enough of him. I am just loving all over him. He has really touched me and I hope he gets this. I am sure that SN already knows who they want, we just don't know who it is yet. Dave keep rockin that hot body!!!! Peace.
Much love

From "Z" outrageous antics, to the growth of all the other rockers, the ride has been fun. Who knew a Navarro Production would turn out to be our family fun nights. Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday nights have been great for us.Now you can tell people you put the fun in disFUNctional family... hahaa!!My husband, me and my two girls love it, we love you, and we LOVE, THE PANIC CHANNEL....stay true to you...fans forever,

I liked the performances last night, of the originals I like Storm, Lukas and Toby in that order.
I think Storm will get the encore.
anyway have a good night all, I got shit to do before I can settle in for a evening of great TV.

Hi
I know how the outcome is tonight ---
But i am of course not going to tell !
Posted by: Dandi at September 6, 2006 02:30 PM
Dave you are the hottest. I have loved looking at you for the last 12 years or so. You are on my work wallpaper and people always ask, who's that? (my boyfriend of course.)
Regarding what you said about the heavy subjects such as the Holocaust and the soldiers's needs being so much more important than Rockstar, of course, i agree. However, with all the chaos in the world, with our president living in a bubble, sometimes we just need a distraction.
I would also like to state that I don't get what is up Gilby's ass. He is the most negative person, I was shocked that he actually was positive towards Storm as he always seems to show disdain for her. He even pushed her off his lap last week. Does he just dislike women who aren't his wife?
And what is up with his hair? It can't be real! And I don't recall his lyrics being on any GNR that counted.
Last night's show was so awesome. I can't wait for tonight. Peace to all.

I just pray it's not Dilana that goes home. She's had a few tough weeks but I think she's the right one to front the band.
I just checked out Panic Channel's website. Dave, I just have to say...
SNAP! I'm totally digging it.

"Magni is missing something" I have heard a few times on this blog.
Yes I agree, he is missing the 'act'.
Magni simply 'IS':-) he is incapable of the 'Great Pretence' of the other performers. When he performs he is not wearing or putting on anything, he is a complete natural. So If there is any one person in this competition who is 'raw' it is Magni. Most of the others are giftwrapped when they perform.
So, I think it's fair to say that in a world where we are constanly bombarded with elaboratley dressed empty boxes; Magni is a rare treasure.

Thank you Dave for bringing us your blog, its nice to read your thoughts before and after the shows - going to miss that - Who's going to be the next 'RockStar" band? :-) Just because Supernova is done, doesn't mean that you should abandon us out her!!
Last night show just rocked it out and the crew that is left is the best of the best. They all bring many styles and flavors to the group - Lets just get to ROCKIN' IT MORE! Good luck Rockerz!!

I can't believe some of the comments on here, especially the crap earlier directed at Dave by a classic example of a total t*sser. Passion, fire, opinion make for good discussion but some people are being downright nasty. I love rock, real rock is raw and dirty. It absolves pain. But feeling that passion does not give license to speak to the host that way. Some people who've lately taken to flinging insults on here don't really have much of a clue how to express themselves any other way. Sad b*stards. DAVE IGNORE THEM! xxxx

Common sense tells me it would be best to let up on Dilana as she has been pushed to the max. My warning to Lukas to lock his door still applies, lol.
Posted by: KuT at September 6, 2006 02:41 PM
Lukas' style and crappy poser angst is yesterday's news. If SN chooses him, they will be noting but a forgettable flash in the pan that'll have to compete for sales in a market that is completely flooded with clones like him.
If they choose Dilana or even better Storm, they will have the unique edge that will allow them to rise above all the rest of the scenester losers. I understand that they want young and edgy singer, but please don't let them choose one that looks and sings just like every other myspacer in the country.
Storm has the unique talent and spark to carry them for a very long time. Lukas will still look, act, sound and write the same in five years. The fans will grow bored and move on.

Hi Dave,
It was really cool to see and hear you play with Storm last night. Nice suprise. You and Storm did look rather nice together on stage.
What was up with all those pirate outfits last night? Pretty funny -- I remember a while back someone on here said you should play Johnny Depp's long-lost brother in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

I JUST picked myself off the floor after LMAO at some of the vitriol spewing out of people that obviously have nothing more to give them passion in their lives but....Dilana...I mean, I'm hot for the girl myself, but to tell Dave you wish him to 'burn in HELL'? oh...my....GOD!!! Those are some pretty harsh words...I wonder if you people who are all up in arms about the supposed Dilana hatin' conspiracy being perpetrated by Mr. Navarro, will come back to kiss his ass when she wins? hmmmm....hmm....off to ponder THAT one...
love,
jezzi(I came to teach you posters something about respect, and in the process, learned how to love..hahahhaha)

Luckas and Bon Jovi was a disaster, he doesnt have the voice range to carry that song, or many others.
My choice to go home tonight, would be Lukas, but I think it will be Storm

Hiya Dave,
First of all you rocked last night!!! That was my favorite part of the show. Also thank you so much for SRL. I was not familiar with it before SN and now I hooked. I listen all day.:) So thank you for that.
As far as the show last night, I think it would be a shame to see Storm go. Not because she is the best but her attitude is incredible. If you notice she is the only one standing and rocking with all the rockers when they are doing there performances. She seems so encouraging and truly loves rock. If you see the faces of the other rockers they look bored or annoyed. She is always up on her feet. She accepted your criticism well and never had an attitude.
I personally was/am a Ryan Star fan and especially after I heard him on your show. He had a great attitude (well at least on SRL.)
So I think my new favorite is Toby or Storm. I think Storm has the right attitude and could be taught what she is lacking. I do really like Lucas voice and he has an interesting quality about him. I always look forward to his performances..:)

See Dave, you are a softie! You should have taken part in the clinics since you ended up getting attached to these guys anyway. We would have gotten more Dave on our screens. (And, a "screw you" to the RUDE comment above. A bare chest is ALWAYS a good thing!)

Dave,
I have always been a big fan. I was huge into Janes Addiction and then I was stuck on Deconstruction and well it just keeps going and going from there.
So, I have been your fan for a long time, but until I made to the taping for last nights performance show I had never been able to see you play live.
It took 15 years to happen. But, I was extra happy because it happened with Storm Large on stage. Now, she has been a fixture of my life for the last three years. Not many people get the chance to see their favorite act week in and week out. But, on almost any Wednesdday I would know where to find her and her lovely Balls.
Anyway, I know you are a big show now, and for good reason. Heck I don't even know what is possible anymore, but if there is ever a chance to do a small show take it and if there is ever a chance I will make it.
Anyway, I know that tonights decision was not in your hands (and I am not trying to put any spoiler in here), but I do hope that you meant what you said. I know Storm and the Balls don't do guitar, but I think for you an exception could be made and as a big fan of both I would like to see that happen.

I totaly agree with dave! magni need some drift. HOWEVER I've been workin at a nigthclub where he have preformed and damn he's f***in awsome, just inmagin fullhouse of kindergarden staff singin tellytubbies song's whole nite and also him ( cose he started that) among other tunes. I know he can do better and belive u me he will ( someday if not with supernova). I think that ppl should consider this and think really hard about 1 thing. he is a winner no mater what ( my personal apinion) 1 guy standin in front of millions of ppl is a great victory for a land of only 300.000 in middle fo f***in nowhere.

OMG, Lukas bastardised 'Living on a Prayer' last night. I felt embarrassed for the little guy. Toby is a looker and a good performer, so was the clown at my kid's party. Magni has a great voice but is conservative on stage. Dilana has lost the plot so should go and Storm is a try-hard with a mediocre voice.
Posted by: Kiwibunz at September 6, 2006 03:10 PM
I firmly believe the boys have bigger plans for Ms. Storm Large. I'm willing to bet we see Storm and the Balls or just Storm Large opening for SN or maybe even the Panic Channel.... hmm.....

Hey Dave
These are the few of the things that I love
1. The fact that you jumped up on stage last night. That made my fucking birthday.
2. The fact that you lent Storm your new red - kicks which your fabulous assistants bought for you. :)
3. The fact that this show is ending and that this site will remain all of its glory.
You Are Awesome!

Storm is a Poser and most of us in SF have known that for years.
Posted by: HAHA at September 6, 2006 03:23 PM
Why ya all trying to convince Dave who's the best or his favorite?Dontcha think he may have his own opinions like everyone else? It's like you think if you keep harping at him he's going to call Tommy up and say Tommy maybe you guys should go with Storm a bunch of people on my site really like her.
LMFAO!!!Give me a break. Here is how you can tell who the singer is don't even worry about conspiracy theories.Real simple way to do it.If the show ended right now without another week who do think will be getting calls from industry musicians? You know how Paul Stanley called up the house band that sort of deal.Toby?Maybe a couple small time LA cover bands...maybe.Dilana hmmm if they watched the show I doubt too many would want to take on her baggage.Storm well a band like the one she has already has would call her up.Magni I don't know about him maybe someone somewhere and I really like Magni.
But Lukas???Shit there would be several pretty big sized musicians on the phone to his agent like tommorrow not counting the record industry people that would be after him.So the question is does Suave Porn but him on the free agent market?Gee I dunno I'll guess we'll have to watch and see.LMFAO again!

Hi Dave
I really loved it that you got up and played last night, I actually had troule going off to sleep after that.
I really dug Toby, yes I am being bias because I'm from down under, but he really showed everyone what he was made of. Even doing the charge into the audience.
You will have to come down under and pay us a visit.
Travel safely, and may your days be bright.

Jeez, and people wonder why D hasnt let go, neither have most of you or others seriously bashing on her msn blog, and please remember they shut down the guest book on her website b/c of it. While I will agree her performances of the last two weeks have been lacking. How would you react if half the "fickle" people who called themselves fans deserted you. Yes, she is dwelling and I agree she needs to let go of it, but I also think she knows what people are doing to her in cyberspace....folks, its not like she ripped a photo of the Pope in two (now that was REALLY bad).
I guess what I am trying to say is D is not the only one who needs to let it go.
At this point I think Toby should get the gig, and the encore.

hi all 6767 people!
This is what I think will heppen tonight:
encore ----> Toby once again! with his original.
supernova song ---> Magni. (not stormy. hihihi)
buttom 3 -----> Dilana, Magni and storm, as was in the end of the show (Lukas was also in the Bottom Three at some point during the world wide voting... bla bla bla brooke :-) )
and who's going home, you're asking?
well I can't tell you everything....
ok. I think it's either dilana or magni.
REMEMBER WHERE YOU READ IT FIRST!! ONLY HERE AT 6767!!
Posted by: OliverT at September 6, 2006 03:37 PM
To me, this is a competition between roommates Toby and Lukas at this point. Storm's original was great, but it's not exactly the type of music Supernova will be putting out, and her performances until now haven't been as memorable. Dilana committed suicide in the last two weeks with bad performances, moron mouth, and showing off her lack of songwriting skills. Magni is great, I love the guy, but Toby has more energy and Lukas has more presence. Supernova wants to be a visual band that plays old school rock with a sense of fun. So I won't be surprised if they pick Toby next week. And If they do, Supernova will die the quick death of genericness.
Bottom Line: This process feels a little too manufactured. Rock music requires authenticity to have any real longevity. This type of thing works for American Idol because when your fans are 12 year old girls you don't have to have good intentions. Rock groups sponsored by MSN? Take the money and run, take the money and run, take the money...

I stand corrected on one point: apparently fans *will* have to vote again next Tuesday. *valiantly resists swearing a blue streak* LOL ;-) Ah, well, "Once more unto the breach..." Dave, can your sweet assistant find me a massage therapist for next Tuesday at around 4am? LOL Kidding. *cracks, crunches and ‘snap crackle pops’ sore back… sigh* ;-) Lots of surprises (as in ‘smack me with a sledgehammer, I’m mystified’ shocks) coming up on tonight’s show, I hear… But that’s all I can say until it airs.
Posted by: Sanlin at September 6, 2006 03:41 PM
Lukas will be the lead singer of Supernova.
I was disappointed that the huge tonguebath Gilby, Tommy, and Jason gave Lukas was edited out last night. I heard the emotion on Lukas' face was something that his fans really should see. I believe the editing effects voting way too much. But I guess the producers want to keep the field more even or make it look like LUkas my not be the lead singer. I still would have loved to see the non edited parts.
Toby ~ kareoke at the local bar. He has no emotions and is not interesting at all.
Magni ~ hit the snooze button. I love the band LIVE and Magni is the poor mans cheap version. His voice isnt even close to as great as eds.
Dilana ~ why beat a dead horse
Storm ~ I can listen, but cant watch her. She has a great voice, but goes around the stage like the Attack of the 50 ft woman. just cant watch.
Lukas will be the Lead Singer because of some insider info I heard at the beginning of the season. come on, why would gilby, jason, & tommy go through this audition to pick a toby or a magni. They would be the laughingstock of the industry.

Dave, I've been waiting all season to see you get up there and kick some guitar riffin ass! You rocked it dude! You and Stormy were amazing together and she's stepped up again in my book, shocked the ass off me. The two best performances last night were definitely Stormy and my man Toby. He kicked it! That dude can belt out the vocals in any range, blow up the crowd without overkill. He rips! If anyone of them can take a SN song and make it rock badass, that would have to be THE man Toby. Lukas was a disappointment. What happened to the dude, he looks lost. Dilana's too mild for my taste & now a train wreck. Magni set in his ways, no changes there. Let's see you kick it up there with Toby next time Dave. Can't wait to go to a SN pumped up concert with Toby fronting. He should be first place now and Stormy a close 2nd. Stellar night. I'm tuned in again, it was getting a little stale there for a while, too predictable.

Hey Dave,
Hope your gig goes well tonite... we don't these kinda gigs up here in cowtown very often. Wish I was there. I haven't had much opportunity to listen to yer spreadradiolive yet (my 5 year olds don't get to hear those words yet ;0) but from what I heard it's awesome. I couldn't believe you tracked Jim Carroll!!! Somewhere I have that album on cassette (two copies, I think I wore it out on that tune). Now how about some Max Webster?
As for RSSN... I think I mentioned my Dark Horse:Storm! I like here raw power and emotion and after hearing her track, I was with you on the tune! I did like Toby's as well but there is something about her track that said more...
At the end of the day, I think Lukas is the 'ultimate fit' overall but since my li'l vote doesn't make it so in the end... if it were my band I'd want to go with Lukas or Storm. Oh and by the way, I'd get you in on GTR as well along with that killer house band. It seems they kept getting better and better every show!
Cheers from Canada!

LUKAS ROSSI is the type of entertainer than doesnt come around often. Supernova will get him, while they can.
LOAP & Headspin gave me chills & goosebumps
There was so much raw emotion in lukas' performance last night. It was so fucking great.
LUKAS is a true artist. The others are a dime a dozen.

Dave - You and Storm on stage together. Wow! Any chance that relationship could be made permanent? You were both amazing together. It would be cruel if that was a "one night stand", you tease!

I was at the taping earlier today, & I was seriously blow away by everyone. I have to say I enjoy all of the 5 remaining rockers, to different degrees.
Posted by: Belou at September 6, 2006 03:55 PM
It was fun to watch you onstage last night with Storm. I know you get tired of the criticism but remember, most of it is just noise. It is so refreshing to have someone in the public eye not afraid to give an oppinion. Musician's have more of a luxury in doing that than most "celebrities". I am so tired of the "you are in the public eye you have to worry about your image" crap. I am so tired of the plastic unfeeling boobs that are all over my television, on my radio & in my movies. It's nice to know there's a real person there with an actual BRAIN that thinks about these things. It's a nice change to know you DO have an oppinion. Exercise your right to speak & don't worry about the rest, once again most of it is just noise.

I am totally ok if Dilana goes home, she will be WAY better off! She will go farther than this stupid washed up band of old rockers will go.
I will follow her, she is THE best performer that has been solid this whole show. Her mental game was destroyed when she got picked apart and now no one will let it go. When your mental game is at stake, of course your going to look pathetic.
Get a clue people !

I love the fact you are so honest, say what you mean and never take back what you say even if it isn't the easist thing to hear. Your playing last night was..... hot! Let me just wipe the drool before I move on. :> Anyway- I just want to say, I could not listen to a full cd of Dilahna's voice. I really like her but not for very many songs in a row. Also- she has been milking this "poor me" act for some time now. Get over it already, quit thinking about it. You made a mistake, move on! Maybe you can say something like that if she is still crying about it next week if she is not sent home tonight. c- ya sugar.

Gilby explained SN's problem very clearly.."we need energy in this band"
That will be the main focus, WHO?, will make this band interesting, because right now I just don't see/hear the excitement in their music. I'm not trying to put them down, the lyrics/music so far lack any "freshness" to put it plainly..sorry
And Dave, great job on stage with Storm, I was wondering when you would finally pick up that guitar and blow the dust off!
Posted by: bryan at September 6, 2006 04:02 PM
Dave-
You are dear person, that is obvious. So....can you eventually do the honorable thing and apologize to Dilana for the public thrashing you gave her two weeks ago. No doubt, she needed to be called out, maybe even on TV, but for 20 minutes-really!
She has an amazing stage presence and ability to captivate an audience. She is still the right one with the right combination of all the good things to front this band and she will have my vote, and my ticket money and the money for her CD's with or without SN. I just hope she fulfills her dream despite the need for reality show drama!
Thanks for giving us an avenue to talk to someone who actually matters in this whole thing!

Why, Why, why would they send Storm home tonight?
They DO. After Tommy totally bangin last night with her original, and her INCREDIBLE performances not just last night, but through the whole competition, even with badly chosen songs, SHE ROCKS.
WTF are they thinking keeping Dilana, who has proven to be a lackluster songwriter, and has lost her spunk, would they send a consistent rocker (the Large Storm herself) home?
This comes from someone there at the taping. I do not get it.
I guess she just had no chance against the other bottom 2, Lukas and Dilana (yes they are in the bottom 2 tonight) she had no chance against the 2 that bring Drama and whatever Lukas brings. They have been the chosen 2 (by SN). Storm doesn't bring enough drama I guess with her constant support to the other rockers. Always a class act. I think she definitely should have been in the final at least.

Lukas sucks, choosing him to lead the band would be just wrong. Magni is too good for this band, my money is on Dilana, she would be the best choice. Storm and Toby should try to keep on working with their bands, amazing talents both of them.
Posted by: Izzy at September 6, 2006 04:15 PM
I agree Storm would be better with her own band and making it big with them.
I just wish she could have made it one more week.

Izzy, you're a moron. Dilana is the best choice for Supernova? Why? Because she's a terrible songwriter so she'll fit right in? Because she's a drama queen who can't keep her mouth shut? Because she's a fake?
Go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODc8bTMMTC0
She's a lame popstar wannabe. She's as authentic as her hair extensions. She brings the rock like Tommy Lee sucks the cock.

My humble opinion: I think that Dilana peaked too early, and a agree she could go. I really did not like Storm's set at all, though Lukas did really well - although at the start of Living on a Prayer I couldn't understand what he was saying. Loved his original song! As for Magni, he'd be a great lead singer for the House band :). Toby has improved immensely, but hey look what happed with Ryan.

Hey Dave~
I was browsing through the message boards at RS and saw a name of someone who had posted here under the Support our Troops blog...thought you might like to see this...
In Sorrow,
Kate
Hello Everyone~
Almost none of you know me as I have only posted here a few times, and the few that I interacted with, well..it was more often than not some of the best fun I have had. For those of you who haven't read the thread I started a few days ago "I confess..as well", my name is Dessa. As of 1645 this evening, est., my husband Thomas died of his injuries suffered in Iraq. To all of you who sent prayers and best wishes, THANK YOU.
I am sharing this with all of you strangers because prior to Thomas getting hurt and dying, I had come on this site to hopefully meet and interact with people with the same interest as me. RockStar SuperNova. Well that is not what I found. I found people here being so disgustingly nasty, brutal and cruel towards very talented people that that no one here has ever met. The hate and viciousness is mind boggling and disturbing. I am writing this because in all of the shock I can't help but direct some of my anger at you all. MY HUSBAND DIED TO GIVE YOU YOUR FREEDOM. TO PROTECT YOU ALL, AND TO GIVE YOU THE RIGHT OF FREE SPEECH. And free speech you have. What a shame that you choose to use such a precious gift to be so hateful and hurtful. You all must be very proud of yourselves. To be so judgmental, hateful and vile...definitely traits I am sure you will pass on to your children. Definitely something to aspire to. Definitely something to be proud of. How very creative you all are in your self-righteousness. It must be wonderful to be so perfect and flaw free.. Can I come live in your world? Maybe my husband would still be alive if he hadn't chosen to enlist to protect all of us. Funny as I write this through my tears and anger, I can't help think what crap. From where I sit, this world is it's on worst enemy and no amount of wars are going to change it. From this little window, well I say to hell with all of you. None of you deserve the deaths of the men and women fighting for your right to FREE SPEECH. You are all abusive, cruel and hateful. You think the Middle East faction is hell...well...welcome to America, Canada and Europe because we are no better. Dressed in our fancy clothes, driving out big cars, living in our nice homes...Yeah we are just so much better aren't we? NOT. We are just dressed prettier. So as you sit safely behind your anonymous screens spewing your foulness at people who don't deserve it...remember this..you only have that right because of the many deaths of the men and woman who are fighting for you. SHAME ON YOU for your horrible, obscene, abusive behavior. I am so ashamed that my husband had to die in order to protect the likes of YOU.
With that said..think before you write...think before you speak and think about how lucky you are that you have that one specific right...TO THINK!
*gone for good*

Hi Dave,
I just wanted to thank you and Mark Burnett for bringing the Rockstar Series to my livingroom every week. I love this show and you are a big part of that love. It's so great to have an avenue for undiscovered rock musicians. There is a wealth of untapped talent out there and this is a welcome stage on which to showcase it. I have enjoyed both seasons and will continue to so. I have also become fond of the bands searching for their frontman/frontwoman every year. Damn, I never thought I would find Tommy Lee so endearing and hot at the same time, but I absolutely love him. Jason and Gilby too. These three men are all very talented musicians and artists in their own right.
Without this format how would I have ever found some of the best undiscovered talent around, like Lukas Rossi, Magni, Dilana, Storm, Patrice, Josh, Ryan, J.D., Jordis and Marty, just to name a few.
I hope that in future seasons Mark Burnett and team will continue to let these artist have "Original Song Night". It was so awesome to hear what each of these artist have to offer. I especially loved "Headspin". It was a powerful performance. It stuck with me long after the show ended last night.
Sad to see this season end, but look forward to future SuperNova tours and CDs and of course next season.
You need to take the stage more often and play more. You fucking rawk! Much Love!

Great show last night! You rocked with Storm! I couldn't take my eyes off of you!
What's up with all the Dave & Lukas hate on here??! I think both of you are FANTASTICALLY ORIGINAL! Lukas showed a very vulnerable side last night....I loved it!
I love your blog and SRL because you DO express your opinions. Keep up the good work! People that don't like it....FUCK THEM!

Wow Kate, my condolences on the loss of your husband. Thank you for his service to our country. May God bless his soul and help you to be strong.
Not everyone posting here is evil, many like me are supportive and thankful of this forum. And there were a lot of wonderful comments. But you make good points and I hope the haters see themselves there.
Don't give up on 6767.
Peace

Great to see you perform last night dave, i almost missed it, i'd given up on the show cause i didnt like any of the originals so was flicking thru the channels and then came back and HELLO there u were. AWESOME
but i dont get the storm love for her original. In my opinion they all needed to do a JD Fortune; a song that's fun, easy to sing along to, has commercial radio play written all over it and ROCKS at the same time.
And that's what Toby did! That's why he was 1 at the start of last nights polls! I think they saved the best for last last night!

According to a spoiler who was at the taping, here is what Lukas fans missed;
"When Tommy told Lukas that he was his dream front man the look on Lukas face melted my heart into a puddle. He was truly humbled and filled with emotion. I really don’t care if Tommy let the cat out of the bag it was great being witness to such affection from Lukas, he looked vulnerable for the first time that I have seen on the show. Lukas has great stage presence and brought it vocally."

I think she definitely should have been in the final at least.
bottom 3
Storm (sings Wish You Were Here)
Dilana (forgot)
Lukas (sings his original)
encore: Toby
Magni sings with SN

Hey Dave, first time writing in your blog. just wanted to let you know that I totally appreciate your comments and think you are totally prof! You guys are super cool and down to earth!!
I have to agree with your take on most things. Here is my low down:
1- MAGNI (aka Respectable Rocker) - almost fell asleep during his performance
2 - Storm (aka Riot Rocker) - totally liked her performance, worthy of the encore - total Rock head.
3 - Dilana (aka Reality Rocker) - I felt sorry for Dilana (in a pathetic way).
4 - Toby (aka Regular Rocker) - had a smile on my face the whole time Toby was performing.
5 - LUKAS (aka Real Rocker)...he brought it on like no one else. He gets inside me each time ... all I know is that I hope I get a chance to see him live, to listen to him, to his music ... and just to feel it ... Gracias LUKAS!
Peace to you Dave!

That is sad that you think Magni is going home. Evan though Iceland is a small country with few people, we can make maricals happen.
I really would like to see him in the finals, though he might not win. I think he would kick a** as a front man for the houseband, there is real ROCK chemastry.
Out of all the rocker that have sing with SN, I think Toby fits best. His vocals really shine thorgh the music. I thoght both D and Luckas peformance with SN very boring, like there vocals just disapire in the SN songs.
Now to other things, is something going on between you (Dave) and Storm?? She is a real flirt.
Well I really hope magni will sing with Supernova toniht, he is great singer. And Toby (MR. Hot) will get the encore with his orginal. Magnis orginal was awsome also.

I also knew Storm was going home, this info from a good friend, and previous bandmate. and several others from the taping. everyone at storm's site is up in arms.
I'm a 35 to mom of 6. completely heterosexual, and she turns me on.
but more importantly, She is AWESOME>
I loved her Ladykiller. Her albums just rock. I'll be glad to see her at Dante's in Portland though.

I really have to laugh at the people who say Lukas bastardized Livin on a Prayer and similar comments. People wake up! He is not in this to showcase his skills at Karaoke! He did something pretty amazing with that song, something completely out of the reach of the other rockers. He came to showcase his own unique skills and he did just that. His performances are pure art.

I'm not hopin that magni is goin home and I'm not sain that he sould be at the final somethin. however I think he's a winner at all times. all the other guys who r left ( I think) had ther change to get some of the sn with them on stage. tell me if I'm wrong. I've seen all the shows and my guy hasn't got one of them with him

I like him a lot. I'm glad he's in the final.
