The Panic Channel on Leno Tonight

Well, for once I was half right. Jill AND Josh... On their way home! That only means one less week until the finale! For me, it's hard to imagine some of these obviously talented singers being in THIS band. I think that all of them absolutely have talent, but some of those talents could be better served somewhere else. Like at a Starbucks. (J/K) Seriously, Supernova needs that undeniable rock front person and I do believe that a woman could definitely do the job. Also, I try to keep in mind that last year, everyone was on about Jordis and Mig and the game quickly shifted mid season. As I see it, Magni, Dilana, Lukas, Storm and Toby all have a shot. My money is on the next few weeks to look like this elimination wise: Patrice, Zayra & Ryan (even though I personally loved the whole new Ryan vibe last night). The truth is, that out of all the elimination days, I have only been right 1/2 (when Jill and Josh were sent home) a day out of all of them, so what the hell do I know? I'm just there to run the couch, chime in with an outsider's perspective and move it along. I never saw the Josh thing coming today.

Thusrday August 10th, The Panic Channel will appear on The Tonight Show. Check here for local times and listings.

ok, to do some research for your appearance on Jay's show...check out his children's book "If Roast Beef Could Fly"...he was my first book signer, YOU were my second..I was almost as stupid in front of him as I was for you...I asked him to sign a book for a friend of mine, it was for her birthday, he was so nice, got his assistant to get me a comb, it goes with the storyline...
and 6 months later, there I was at my second book signing, freaking out cause we called, and they said you were leaving, rolling down the window on Sunset Blvd, screaming at the top of our lungs just to let out the tension..and there you were...and the beautiful Riss...and Neil with painful looking earrings...good times, good times...

waxing nostalgic

Hi Dave,

I am communicating from India and I must say that Rockstar Supernova is getting really popular.I think Dilana has a great shot at it, as she has been killer everytime. However, things change from week to week, e.g. Sometime has happened to Ryan and he seems to have really improved on his performances. The Iceman is cool too. BTW you can view my stuff at:

I would LOVE to do some Graphics for The Panic Channel. Please do get back to me on this.
Have a great Day!!

Regards

Ari

Hi Dave

John from Canada Love the Panic Channel, best of luck with it, hope things with work and personnel go your way

As for Supernova, the only two I would even consider is Dilana and that guy from Iceland. I don't think anyone else is in their class. The rest of them, I wouldnt dream of listening to a Supernova CD. Dilana, week after week, gives me chills, she has a great voice, so intense, I would take her without thinking. As for that Zarya , she may be fun to watch, but its an insult to the other talent who were chopped, that she is still there. Shes a freak show, but is a rock Celine Dion to me

Dilana is something else, such a rock chick.

Posted by: John at August 10, 2006 12:21 AM

You shouldn't be down on yourself and your picks. You are getting some really good press this season. I just read an ap article at work tonight about how you were the next greatest thing to be reborn from rock. People aren't talking about the supernova band, they're talking about what dave navarro is going to do next.

Posted by: Melissa S. at August 10, 2006 12:22 AM

Dave, your top five is my top five. Dilana is great. She sounds like Marianne Faithful on steroids but her songwriting is in question. Lukas is a great songwriter and is the most well rounded but he has an attitude problem. Storm is hot and is a veteran. She knows what she's doing. Magni is showing he is a big time veteran, too, and his singing is getting unbelievable. But he doesn't have the wow factor. Toby is a sex symbol type and can sing but he is more raw. And sometimes he looks borderline retarded. Bottom line, it could be any of those five. The others just don't fit in.

Posted by: doke at August 10, 2006 12:32 AM

Well Dave, seeing you're up so late you must have been watching the four pack of Mindfreak too!! ha ha

Come on Dave, the only viable candidate for the job is Lukas, and you know it. Actually, you and Lukas would look great on the stage together. I would love to see you guys perform on the show together, although I know that's not going to happen.

Looking forward to watching TPC on Leno. CIAO BELLO!!!

Posted by: Linda at August 10, 2006 12:37 AM

I really don't see Josh or Jill fronting Supernova so I wasn't surprised to see both of them go. Jill was in the bottom three 3 times in a row and frankly, I can barely understand half of what she's singing because she screams most of the time. Josh has "too much soul" and I don't think it's right for Supernova and what I think they're looking for.

Your top 5 are also my top 5. I love Z but I don't see her making it up there :D

Posted by: Miko at August 10, 2006 12:56 AM

Cant wait to see you boys on Leno tomorrow night, good call on the Jill thing and it was a pleasant suprise when they sent both home, gotta clear out the waste and step up the competition ya know, see ya manana (or on my tv that is)

Posted by: Courtney at August 10, 2006 12:56 AM

I really got to where I liked hearing Josh sing, he's not right for SN but the kid is very talented. If he could get Rafa to play on his CD, I'd buy that.

I could never sit and watch Dilana for an hour and half nor would I ever listen to her sing for 45 mins on a CD. I think she’s really fun to watch for a few mins, got talent. But that’s $$$$ I just won't spend.

I like Lukas; he seems to have that grab you by the throat stage presence like jagger, Morrison, Tyler. They would come out and eat chunks out of the stage.
Seems being the key word.

I don't think we really will know until we see all of them in front of SN who really is going to click with SN and us.

I hope that when it’s down to the final 5, with this double elimination, they can have one week where no one's sent home but that SN plays 2 songs with each person left To give them and us a chance to see who shines.

But hey that’s just my 1.5 cents

Peace

Dave, so wish I could have seen or heard that last nite at Camp Freddy. Unbelievable!!!

Please give Z that earpiece, we would love to hear what she can do. I agree, captivating in a burlap sack. Did you go to Vegas?

Posted by: Michael at August 10, 2006 01:17 AM

Glad I checked in, I flipped to Leno in time.
I will get a couple shots of Zequila! and enjoy the show.

Posted by: Michael at August 10, 2006 01:19 AM

I think that there should have been a double elimination sooner. It was seriously painful to watch Jill, Josh, Phil and Patrice even from the very beginning. Should have started the season off with a hard poke and cut them in half sooner. No point in being candyass about it. I still wonder whether SN wants a singer/songwriter... or a singer/performer. Best of both worlds is in Lukas, but Dilana needs this gig more than any of them. Too bad her songwriting skills are bottom of the barrel. "Lotion and your thong?" I couldnt even believe it. I suppose SN could always hire from outside.

I'm pissed that it was decided to make Lukas share his first encore with Magni. I feel that he should have gotten the first encore to begin with, but then slapping him in the face pretty much tonight with that... subpar performance of Magni's? I'm incredibly disappointed and I've lost a little respect for the SN guys.

Love the comments from you though Dave. *thumbs up*

Dave, It was so great to see two episodes of Rockstar back to back without any misogynistic remarks from T Lee and yourself. Sexist remarks are really just so last millenium. Additionally, alienating 1/2 of the record-buying public is not necessarily the smartest business move. Thanks!

Posted by: Gkaplan at August 10, 2006 01:31 AM

I seriously hope it comes down to a final 4.
Magni
Storm
Lukas
Dilana
'Cause I seriously don't see any of the others fronting Supernova, talent or not.

Ryan does nothing for me even with him trying to "rock up" his image!

Toby is a poseur 100%! and does nothing for me.

Zayra is 100% wrong for them in all ways.

Patrice just doesn't work with them.

Posted by: Savvy at August 10, 2006 02:25 AM

Serves me right. I check the blog on 6767 15 minutes before Rockstar is showing here in Australia. Ill know next time.
The Panic Channel stuff sounds great. Keep up the good work.

Posted by: Muttsy at August 10, 2006 03:17 AM

Wow Surprise Surprise, even though you called it earlier...Good Call I might add as it steps up the bar for the rest and hopefully some 'meat' will start hitting the stage. I really thought Z or Patrice before Josh...But yea I agree, his style isnt with the band and he knew that anyway!

Posted by: Jodi at August 10, 2006 03:47 AM

Dave, I agree with you!

I also think a double elimination should have happend a couple of weeks ago. So now, is Zayra going to just skate through because people want to see what she wears? What if she doesn't make bottom three because of that - then we are stuck with her in the top three? That would be a crime!

You have been asked many times if you are going to be playing.....what happened with other celebrity guest appearances? Or is that all being saved when you get down to 6 or so?

And I felt sorry for Josh - he wanted to go to LV!

Can't wait to see you on Leno tonight!

Always,
me

Dave,
Lukas pulls in woman in their 30's, 40's, and 50's. That is a narrow demographic. A lot of men don't dig the guy. A lot of younger people don't dig the guy. Check the threads on the Rockstar message board.

Dilana - Sounds like a man. Not bashing her but she does. That is what happens to a woman's vocal chord after smoking. That is a fact. A lot of people don't like her sound. It is the same exact sound every time she sings. Too bad those people don't vote...well who else could they vote for anyway.

Third, I hope you realize that the masses all LOVED Josh's version on the Supernova track. There was votes and opinions taken on all kinds of boards. That should have told somebody something. Next to Josh's song was Lukas...but I am sure Supernova can not seriously consider Lukas being the front man. We know it is Dilana. Too bad.

Well, as for you I vote for your video everyday and I am excited for your release.

Posted by: candy at August 10, 2006 04:14 AM

Hi - it seems like Josh and Jill both made really poor choices for their final song. Josh, in playing guitar when he had been strongly advised not to, and Jill for going bluesy after Supernova had said their style is not blues at all (and screetching, AGAIN). All contestants are talented, but not all seem there for the right reasons.

Magni, Dilana and Lukas are the likeliest contenders, but Storm and Ryan may well have some great performances along the way.

Love the show - would watch it happily 7 days a week! Love your very honest commentary, Dave, and can't wait to follow the newest part of your stellar career with the Panic Channel.

Posted by: LW at August 10, 2006 04:32 AM

I like Lukas' singing, he definetely has talent, but I can't get around his total unlikability. He's reminds me of JD from the first season, I just don't like him.

Delana can rock but all that metal in her face is incredibly distracting. I'd love to see what she actually looks like.

Love Storm on all levels.

Zayra is a train wreck and she really makes the show look bad. She has got to go.

Posted by: Ye Old Guy at August 10, 2006 04:40 AM

Dilana has been reminding me of Diamanda Galas since week 1. Guess that's why she freaks the hell out of me :->

Posted by: sigga at August 10, 2006 04:44 AM

Really enjoy the blogs, Dave...keep 'em comin'...as for last night's elimination show...totally agree with Jill & Josh going...amazingly talented individuals, but they don't fit into the SN puzzle...top 3 Magni, Dilana, & Lukas...as for the remaining contestants, i truly don't buy the 'rock' act...it's difficult watching Storm...she reminds me of a broadway performer...and the eyeball thing is just too freaky...ryan has got a hootie-wants-to-be-a-ROCKstar thing going on...toby = pretty boy front man, but no substance....you totally pinned Zayra...definitely will make it as shakira/bjork type - just not with SN...Patrice just plain ol' BORING...she can sing, but not attention grabbing enough, ya know?...any-who, enough of my rambling..have a good one!

Posted by: Feeknix at August 10, 2006 04:47 AM

And you run the couch oh so well!!!!!!

Posted by: Sharon Roberts at August 10, 2006 04:56 AM

Dilana all the way...she's got the voice that can belt 'em out and has the hard rock edge. Lukas has an attitude that is very abrasive to me and his appearance bothers me for some reason. I think it's time for Zayra and Patrice to go. They just don't fit. Zayra is not compatible with this band and Patrice looks like she's straining her voice everytime she sings. The hard rock persona just does not come naturally to Storm. She appears to be overacting the part when she performs. The rest of the bunch just doesn't seem to fit in with the hard rock sound that Supernova is..after all these guys did come from bands that play hard rock and I imagine that they'll stay that route. Not that there isn't a lot of talent amoung these performers, but several don't fit the role of a lead singer for this band.

Posted by: Debby at August 10, 2006 05:15 AM

I also wanted to add that Magni is the guy to lead this band in my opinion, if Dilana is not chosen. Magni has the voice, the attitude and with a little training on how to project himself to the crowd, he could become a well rounded performer. He just needs that little bit extra of macho badass to pull the crowd in.

Posted by: Debby at August 10, 2006 05:20 AM

Just to say Hi Dave and you must have enjoyed seeing Jill go home. I don't think I could've watched another week of her screaming!! Dilana really has rockstar potential. She puts on a great show. Keep Rocking Dave. Love You! Peaches (:

Posted by: mary at August 10, 2006 05:33 AM

Good Morning everybody!
I was surprised that Ryan was in the bottom 3 last night and that Patrice wasn't, but the rest wasn't really a big surprise. I liked Magni's encore better than is first rendition, and I thought Lukas was wonderful, but there is something about that guy that creeps me out. I think everyone is pretty right on about their picks for finalists. I think the guys will not only consider talent, and they've all got that but also because of who they (SN) are they are going to go with someone who has maturity in their actions on and off stage. I really think that will be a big consideration. However, I have to say that last year I was surprised by INXS picking JD. I really thought it would be Marty or Mig. So we could all be surprised in the end,, but hey isn't that why we watch this show faithfully? To see what really does happen next? Dave you looked great last night. I think it was the shirt.

Posted by: NANA at August 10, 2006 05:37 AM

Hey Dave,

Why does the rockstar show hate the UK? There are never any rockers competing on the show from the UK despite the fact that the Uk has some of the most talented and up and coming new and exciting rock music coming from it. Also, we are now forced to watch the show at 4am on a tuesday morning! This sucks! If you can use UK artists in your musical selection, why can't you guys give the UK a break and put some of us in the show!

Absolutely love you tho, and think you rock!

*"Tonight Show, tonight," scribbles furiously*
Wish you were on Ferguson's show..he is sooo funny.

Great performances on Rockstar! Glad for the double elim.

I can't stand Storm, but I like Zayra. hahahahnot for SN.

PS did you go to Vegas?

Posted by: merrymagic at August 10, 2006 05:43 AM

ZAYRA GOES TO VEGAS!

I'll be watching the Tonight Show. This is a big sacrifice for me, as I despise Leno with the fire of a thousand suns. Him and that chin. But, you know, have fun!

Posted by: Lydia at August 10, 2006 05:56 AM

I, for one, am glad to be rid of Jill. She seemed to be doing nothing more than her impersonation of a rock singer. She must have the idea that singing everything at the top of her range and adding some grittiness to it made her sound like a rocker. Nope. And whomever said that the weird dance moves were like Milli Vanilli yesterday cracked me up. I've been calling her Jilli Vanilli ever since. She busted the MV moves last night.

Josh has a great sound and his melody/lyrics to the SN track were really good. BUT, again, I think he was trying to hard to be a rocker. He'll do very well just being himself.

I was a little shocked on performance night that the guys called Z on being flat much of the time, but they didn't call Storm on it. She was off-pitch a good amount of the time, and, I thought she was boring. When she's doing the crazy eyes thing, she reminds me of Marty's Scary Conductor.

I don't know who should win. I think we just need to keep in mind that SN needs to feel like the winner just clicks with them. Many were surprised about JD last year.(he was my fave, so I was glad) But INXS has been playing sold-out concerts all over the world. The concert I went to in April at the House of Blues in Atlantic City was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and JD has grown so much as a performer. He was incredible.

Gotta be up at the crack of doom tomorrow, so Leno will be on the DVR and I'll watch it tomorrow. Can't wait!

Posted by: Jaded at August 10, 2006 06:03 AM

On youtube, there is a music video of Dilana from a few years ago and she is absolutely gorgeous. Not sure what happened to her. I thought I heard she was 33 but she looks older than that. And Storm is supposed to be 37 but she looks ten years younger than that.

Posted by: doke at August 10, 2006 06:18 AM

DAVE!!!! Last night was the MOST WONDERFUL night in TELEVISION HISTORY!!!! I was on the floor, jumping on my couch, just totally amazed and laughing my ass off! That fucking rocked! I am happy you seem to think a girl can really pull off singing for SN my boyfriend thinks otherwise...I am telling him Dilana is the shit and I think she could do it. I would love to see anyother band kinda like KHZ with the female lead. I think she could make it possible, she's very talented. I guess we will have to see who is right in the end. :)

So stoked for the LeNo ShOw, That's the shit! Good Luck with the show and safe travels. Much Love and ROCK OUT!

Josh will go on and maybe be another John Mayer, I wish it had been a triple elimination and Zayeta or Patrice had gone too. Zayeta has zero talent and it is an insult to the better musicians that have left before her. Who is voting for her? I ask the voters to PLEASE think about who would be best for the band and take a look at how hard the band members and Dave are laughing at Zayeta's performances and get real! I agree with your choices Dave. Remember last season everyone thought Marty would win because he didn't have attitude like the guy that won, so? Toby, Lukas, Magni, Storm and Dilana are great, but Dilana's more a presence than talent as her voice does sound like a heavy smoker and the eye thing with Storm is distracting. Ryan? We'll see. Take care.

Posted by: Caren at August 10, 2006 07:23 AM

Ryan is not only a complete frat-boy striking his retarded version of "rawk pose" but his "come from the crowd" schtick with the hood wasn an OBVIOUS rip-off!! If I were Dilana I'd be PISSED.

Send that dude back to Abercrombie and Fitch. I piss more RAWK than he's ever had.

Dilana and Lukas (even with his heavily manufactured look) are the only two that seem to have actual rock music in their blood. Hell, Lukas looked may be very Hot Topic but there's atleast a small degree of legitimacy in that HE'S the one who manufactured it.

I dug the megaphone btw, Mike Patton (aka GOD!) has been doing that for years. It fit the song even if not so much the person. But props to Toby for atleast being bright enough to ripoff an idea that wasn't done on the show by another performer!

Posted by: ranger at August 10, 2006 07:27 AM

Great show last night! Lukas is the winner - has been since Rebel Yell. He's got it all.

Posted by: jubileee at August 10, 2006 07:34 AM

Can't wait for Leno tonight -- I know you guys will rock it!

As far as Rockstar goes, I am soooooo glad Josh & Jill are gone. Did anyone else think josh was very reminiscent of a bobblehead? lol... I was getting dizzy watching his head going back and forth and back and forth AND back and forth! oi!

Posted by: Lolita at August 10, 2006 07:36 AM

Well by Jill's song choice, I think she knew she was going home. As good a performer as Josh is (and what a great voice!) he's totally wrong for Supernova. He's suited to a Sublime or Incubus and I hope he finds the right fit somewhere because there definitely is a place for him in the music business, especially if he can write a song worth a damn (I think I missed songwriting week). It's Dilana, Storm or Magni. I know I bashed him the other day but he stepped it up this week and did some really respectable stuff. He really must have been down about being away from the kid. I kind of question whether he can handle touring.....

I had my doubts about a second Rockstar season but I'm glad they did it. And Dave, I love hearing your input. Rock musicians don't often get the kind of feedback they get in this forum. (At least not to the point actors do) It's good to see and it reminds me of a vocal coach I used to have when I was younger. I was her only actor. Most of her students were in rock and metal bands. Anyway I'm rambling so I shall shut up. Keep up the good work Dave, and I look forward to seeing you on Leno tonight.

I was totally chanting for a double elimination!!! definately the highlight of the show...Ryan did another great job out of the three...I understand where Jason is coming from when it comes to the way his body moves...but this guy just keeps doing his homework.

Posted by: chrissy at August 10, 2006 07:54 AM

Josh out before Zayra, what the fuck? Forget it, I don't care anymore. Jason should really be careful, that ego might not be able to fit thru the front doors soon.

"Did anyone else think josh was very reminiscent of a bobblehead? lol... I was getting dizzy watching his head going back and forth and back and forth AND back and forth!"

Thank you for saying that!!! I thought it was just me. I just wanted to reach through the tv and hold his damn head still!! I couldn't believe SN never said anything to him about it since they mentioned Phil's wobbly neck syndrome ( : Anyway, he was good for another type of band.

Posted by: blacklace at August 10, 2006 07:59 AM

Josh deserved to go last night for two reasons-
1) The head bop thing
2) T Lee specifically asked to see him NOT playing the guitar and yet, he played the guitar. AGAIN.

Jill deserved to go because she thought she rocked out RESPECT. She so did not.

Time will tell, but my pick for the top 4-
Dillana
Magni
Storm
Lukas

Posted this yesterday..but late in the blog.
I still don't get all the raving about Dilana.

THE WHO -WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN (maybe we are)

And now, Dilana said that she never heard that Who song before.

....and after seeing that awful, grotesque,
quasi-pop princess video/song of hers on youtube ,

...and after hearing her David Hasselhoff cornball solo lyrics, I am now seriously starting to question if her rock image is merely a cloaked guise.

Has anybody seen her or heard her playing in any bands that may have delivered some vibe of a current alternative/rock/punk edge to back up her rock image.

From the sampling I've seen, she obviously can't write or deliver decent song lyrics, so I'm wondering if there is anything "of value" that she could possibly deliver to SN (other than singing entertaining cover band songs on the Rockstar stage-that won't sell tickets or tour well).

I am very excited about the Leno show tonight! I jumped for joy last night when Jill was FINALLY cut. I am so glad Josh is gone too. I was sick of hearing him sing through his nose! I live in a small town too so Leno and RS are probably as close as I will get to seeing DN :( I can always dream!

I really love 6767. My friend is watching a burned deluxe edition of Tommy Lee goes to college and my all-time favorite part is when he gets his hot tutor and that nerdo for a roomie. Oh the college experience. I used to go to strippers in my college days, however, that wouldn't have been academic enough for network tv. Oh Tommy, how he would've rocked my college days...But Navarro, keep up the awesome rock on CBS and you made Carmen all that more delicious! I hope you still prefer brunettes!
P.S. I like none of the "singers". Can you really imagine any of them in Ozzfest even Ozzy pronounces his lyrics better than Lukas and Ozzy has an excuse. The rest are like watching an expensive but bad battle of the bands.

I was curious as to why Patrice and Josh's respective contributions to the songwriting clinic were not included in the webisode. Apart from Lukas' song, which was catchy, Josh and Patrice really had the most dynamic vocals--and Patrice (who is not always my favorite) definitely had the most intelligent lyrics. (Not that rock always requires intelligent lyrics.) I was surprised to hear no further mention of the clinic, especially after it was announced at the end of last Wednesday's network episode. Also, that song sounds VERY Butch Walker. Anyone agree?

dave,

the HTML CODE on your banner image SPREAD RADIO LIVE link is inaccurate. it is missing the "A" in "Spread" so the link to SRL does not work. This is on the copy/paste link to SRL on your "links" page on 6767. Of course, i fixed it on my own page, but anyone else pasting it will have a problem.

you rock,

How I'd do it...

Two more double eliminations...

1st = Toby and Zayra
2nd = Ryan and Patrice

leaving...

Magni
Storm
Lukas
Dilana

to vie for the Supernova crown of rock!!!

Posted by: Savvy at August 10, 2006 09:54 AM

I forgot to add that there's nothing worse than a really old looking rock chick who looks more like a groupie or roadie than a Gwen Stefani, if you know what I mean.

Get some botox ladies on Rockstar, because weird hairdos and strategically placed highlights are not cutting it. That goes for Lukas too. (Just the hairdo part.) I wish the world wasn't so cruel, but it is. Rock on Toby. I think he's the only one with any shred of singing talent.

Jason posted a blog to the MSN site 2 days ago.
And he doesn't seem thrilled at all.
Maybe some shit hit the fan behind the scenes.

I don't get it- Is he talking to the contestants or the SN fans who read the blog?

It seems like he's talking "directly" to the contestants-Sending them a stern warning about something that went down behind the scenes.

I am SO glad to get rid of two people. In fact, I was thinking how painful it is to watch the elimination because you have to watch people you don't like in the first place perform AGAIN. I even thought i might miss the next week or two because that way I might care who gets eliminated or that one really sees the process of the supernova guys. You know right now they are just biding their time, they already know Dana, Jill, Josh, Phil etc couldn't front their band. It's when it's Magni vs Storm which would make me sit on the edge of my seat.

Yeah, and to be honest, I did vote for Zayra today. I know she can't sing, but she's far more interesting to watch than Patrice or Jill or Josh, in fact possibly Toby and Ryan on their off days as well (I thought Ryan actually did good today).. I wouldn't want her to go before it gets interesting.

Come on! I love her outfits. They are really really good and the gold thing with the top had and platforms IS perfect for a david bowie song.

Posted by: Glutterbug at August 10, 2006 10:09 AM

imho, Zayra fits in perfectly with the Scissor Sisters, Dresden Dolls, Goldfrapp kind of music/performance scene... of whom i like all 3...

and actually I really liked her gold outfit with the heels and top hat... i just couldn't get into her superhero stuff...

Hey Dave!

Never thought I would enjoy you as much as I do! haha (I mean that in the best possible way!)

Look forward to hearing your band now... ;)

It should have been Zayra and Jill..

Posted by: Junebug at August 10, 2006 10:31 AM

To whomever it was that said that Lukas only appeals to the 30-50 female demographic..

Not sure what internet you are using but it's not the one I'm on. Check out the big sites like Rockband, here is the way the thread count shapes up for the top 5:

Lukas: 8466
Storm: 689
Dilana: 504
Ryan: 398
Magni: 175

And since the posting is mostly dominated by teen and 20-something females, just tell me who they like and who's music they are going to buy.

No disrespect to Storm, Dilana or the other performers but let's just keep the facts straight. Lukas has a massive following already...if you don't like him that's fine, you can't please everyone...but I am sure Supernova and DN are well aware of who is most popular and who will sell cd's. That always has to be a big part of the equation.

Posted by: bajatango at August 10, 2006 10:33 AM

Toby cuts in there with 353.

Posted by: bajatango at August 10, 2006 10:36 AM

Come on...We all know SN has already picked Lukas! If people can’t see that!! It’s time to start paying attention.

Dave.. it makes for good TV for the less fortunate.

Posted by: Shue at August 10, 2006 10:38 AM

Since Steve Isaacs will be performing with you 3 on The Tonight Show, I'll watch!!! lol...

Posted by: Savvy at August 10, 2006 10:41 AM

Don't be down on yourself. The gods know we at home have shrieked WHAT?!? at the TV with some choices of who goes and whom stays behind. We all knew Jill was going to get the chop as she never seemed to actually listen to the bands critiques but instead was obsessively defensive. VERY high maintenance. I always thought Josh had a great voice but, yep, not for Supernova. To my mind, the top 4 are Dilana, Storm, Magni then (if he maintains the standard of singing he showed with 'Creep'), Lucas.

Dilana has a one of a kind sound, has a great look on top of being beautiful and seems to have her head together. Storm is a pure professional, but I'm not sure if her voice is recognizable enough. The same with Magni. Lucas, well, I've already shared my opinion about that in my last paragraph.

Keep up the good job Dave!!!

Posted by: Fiona HV at August 10, 2006 10:46 AM

The thing i don't get - Toby. I mean, ok, the ladies (and the boys who swing that way) like his looks, but - meh. He's got no charisma whatsoever on stage, a forgettable voice, and it no way says supernova to me. Of all the people left LAST week when the boys sent Dana home, I would have put Toby up as my first to go, ahead of even Zayra. He's just *boring*.

But here's my frustration watching this show - and I bet Dave shares this to some extent. The viewers choice format preserves people who are interesting for being bizzare (Zayra) over people who are considerably better performers (Dana, Josh, even Jill). So the band can't get rid of people who really have no business even being on the stage unless the viewers vote 'em out. This means we are stuck watching people who're never gonna front this band, not in a bazillion years, and lose out on people who are fighting hard to stay in and growing; I for one wanted to see how far Dana could go, she was getting exponentially better each week.

The other issue is that the format punts the same people into the bottom three week after week, so we get a whole lot of extra airtime for them. I don't want to see more Zayra, or Jill; I want to see more Lukkas, Magni and Dilana. The format worked well with inxs 'cause they had teh losers try out on inxs songs and used that yard stick to say 'who works least well for our music'; but this season lacks that feature, and I'm not finding that it works that well.

So I think Burnett and company, if they do this again, have to seriously re-think the format, giving the band input on the bottom three. The band needs more control over this. Also, I'd like to see something a little more controlled on the final three. Singer's choice doesn't tell us much; give them all teh same song, or give them all songs of the band's choice. I want to see them competing on an even field, not on songs they've clearly rehearsed a lot in teh past.

Bajantango, that was Candy who said only women in their 30's 40's and 50's. I've been to three of the tapings, and the teenie boppers love Luksa too. Ye Old Guy - I met Lukas a few times, and he is very likable. They are just trying to make him the bad guy this year, like JD was last year. JD did win. I agree with disinterestedyouth that it was an insult that Lukas had to share the encore!!

OMG Sigga, Diamanda Galas. I haven't heard that name in years! My son Jason, that recently passed away, was a huge fan of hers. When he was in high school he interviewed her by phone for a paper he was writing. She used to live in San Diego, I don't know if she's still around. Jason used to play her music,if that's what you want to call it, day in and day out. He told me that she did vocal backgrounds for movies. I would guess horror movies. Wow that really brought me back to better times!!!

Gkaplan, I was at last Sundays taping, and there were sexist comments, they were just edited out.

Posted by: Linda at August 10, 2006 11:21 AM

I'm in total agreement with K Elvis on Toby, he's a complete yawn. I think Magni's getting better and better, that electric version of the Live song rocked. And I think the guys in the band might be looking at Lukas attitude and thinking "Do we really want to hang with this guy on tour for a year?"

On the fence with Dilana and Storm. Dilana needs to change it up a bit and Storm needs to rock, not act like she's rocking.

Ryan sucks, he could probably pick up some cash by doing dinner theatre or he could find a Prog rock band that needs a singer, maybe Asia or Styx are looking for a new front man.

Posted by: rob K at August 10, 2006 11:23 AM

Forgot to mention Zayra, I think she's brilliant. Probably the most entertaining of the bunch. She's going to do alright for herself (probably not with SN though).

Posted by: rob K at August 10, 2006 11:25 AM

M

i have to agree with you. i actually think josh did a great job at the songwriting clinic and actually sang with a great "rock" voice for once! i find it frustrating that he never brought THAT voice to the stage! i wonder why there was no mention that he finally delivered the rock.. i guess he's just not one of the "stars" of the show. i'm probably the only one here could've imagined josh fronting supernova - reminded me a little of scott weiland..

and that song did sound quite butch walker

Posted by: ooftymcgoofty at August 10, 2006 11:37 AM

while i'm giving opinions, i think lukas would be better suited to rockstar: my chemical romance and ryan should sign up for rockstar: creed..

just my 2 cents

Posted by: ooftymcgoofty at August 10, 2006 11:45 AM

lucas is the cats pajamas. hand down he is the best rockstar, you have up there. he's genuine, and really wants this. you can tell that someone didnt just throw some tatts, eye-liner, and piercings together and try to make a fake "rock image" outta him. lucas was rock before you found him, and he'll be rock if you leave him. he knows how to deliver goosebumps week after week despite the efforts of his many critics:) (you of all ppl should know pure rock when you see it right dave?)

Hi, Dave. I have to agree with Savvy that Lukas is a poseur(of the first order!), albeit that his voice was transcendent on Creep. Ryan, however, is only a poseur wannabe--the wig-hood thing was just embarrassing, and the black polish shows pure gimmick on him. Toby is far too young to handle the responsibility and demands of road tour. Dilana is a goddess, no doubt, and seems mature and grounded at the same time--she's just not going to draw the boys so much, and they do buy tickets. Boys and girls, men and women are all in love with Storm, but I almost hate to see her go any way but solo--she's just tremendous, a real Force of Nature. In my opinion, most of the others fail to merit much comment or real consideration: Zayra, forget it, please, this is a rock group; Patrice, Lillith Fair, period; Magni, I wouldn't pay. If I forgot anyone, I guess that just iterates my point. By the way, thank you for holding down that couch, and for adding wisdom and lucidity to the proceedings each week. Love, love.

To the person who asks about the Lukas Appeal:

I was the one that said Lukas appeals to older women.

Check the rockstar threads, someone took a poll and overwhelmingly they were over 30 (some in their 50's).

And for you post, "And since the posting is mostly dominated by teen and 20-something females, just tell me who they like and who's music they are going to buy."I have read different.

I read a study where House wives participate more in forum message boards than any other demographic. So, it was awhile ago...maybe things changed but if I find a more recent study, I will inform you.

As for Lukas having a massive following-Magni is huge in Iceland. Too bad a lot of Icelandic people don't speak English. I think they would have had his numbers up quite a bit. Keep in mind Iceland is 6-8 hours ahead of the states. Big time difference.

Posted by: Candy at August 10, 2006 01:30 PM

To whomever posted the forum post numbers:

Lukas: 8466
Storm: 689
Dilana: 504
Ryan: 398
Magni: 175

These are great and thanks for bringing them to my attention. I went to rockband. I found it pretty interesting that some of those Lukas Fans have over a thousand posts. Quite a few have a few hundred.

If you go to other contestants, those members have less than 100 posts. So, I think your plan to prove that Lukas has a HUGE fan base just backfired.

My prematurely ejaculated thoughts on the Supernova afterglow!!!

To me when it comes down to it...

Bands get together to practice and
Play anywhere from zero live shows to thousands
Put out zero to 7 albums

To me it's all an experimental experience no matter how band members hook up
and nothing can be promised by Supernova beyond the pre-nup...

Hell even the betrothed contestant may only want to put out one album, do a minimal tour and then opt for a divorce...

This is my response to those who are looking for Supernova to get together, fornicate musically onstage for years and years, and birth lots of baby albums, and on top of that be monogamous only to Supernova members!!!

Posted by: Savvy at August 10, 2006 01:42 PM

A double-whammy last night... Who would've guessed? :) Adios, Josh & Jill.

I never got the fuss over Josh... He seems like a nice enough guy, but I never found him to be all that rocking OR soulful. Time will tell if he makes it big as a singer, but if not, he could always get a job as Christian Slater's stand-in. (Is it just me, or are they interchangeable?)

Jill put up a good fight; I have to hand it to her. She can certainly sing and put on a show, but I agree with those who say she's a bit too 1980s for what SN is presumably trying to do. In a few years, when "hair metal" makes a big comeback (cuz, you know, everything returns after 20 years), she seriously may be onto something.

Ryan - GREAT song choice, and I too am looking forward to what he's going to do next. But man, I was not feeling that arrangement of "Enjoy the Silence" at all. All over the place and just too much, IMO. It detracted from the beauty of the lyrics and melody... much like Jill's rendition of "Don't You Forget About Me".

Onto Dave & TPC... Can't wait to see the Tonight Show! I hope there's an interview as well. Those are always fun.

Have a beautiful day,

I never saw that coming last night with the double whammy, but thats the way it goes. I hope now Toby will pull it up a notch and show SN what he really has to offer.
I am going to watch the Tonight Show tonight, yes we do get it over here in the land of Oz, I hope that there is an interview as well. I feel so lucky this week, Tues, Wed, Thurs and now Fri nites watching you.

I think the double elimintaion was fantastic, speed things up a bit. I totally argree with who the final few should be, but of course I'll be pulling for Storm, we are after all from the same city and I've seen her perform at Dante's a local hang out spot in downtown portland and she rocks.

Oh yeah, and Dave, you rock.

Posted by: Melissa at August 10, 2006 03:12 PM

Dave,

I agree w/ you that most of these people are not meant to front THIS band, which brings me to the question of who selected the talent for the show? Do the producers try to find the best over all talent, or the talent that best fits the band? I thought we would be seeing 15 hardcore rockers competing on the show, but the only people I can possibly see in that vein are Dilana,Magni, and Lukas. I think it has been pretty obvious from the start as to who the final 4 or 5 will be. I hope you can shed some light on this, because I'm sure I'm not the only one with that question. By the way great Panic Channel show at the old limelight here in NYC a few months ago. I've seen you live six times w/ Jane's, once w/ the Peppers, and now w/ Panic and you always put on a great show, so thank you for that.

I don't get the Lukas thing. I mean he looks like he's dressing himself out of Madonna's closet circa 1984. What was up with that silly little lace doilie-like glove he was wearing? I mean come on when was the last time you saw James Hetfield wearing a freakin' doilie on his hand? Or Axl Rose? Maybe .......... never?

Posted by: rob K at August 10, 2006 03:35 PM

I'm glad that Jill & Josh both got the chop...I found them both really irritating!

Magni is my pick to win - he is clearly the most talented performer there.

Dilana is talented, but I don't believe she would appeal to everyone - I don't think I could listen to a whole album with her voice on it.

I should be supporting Toby as my fellow Australian, but he's not amazingly talented or anything.

Everytime I look at Lukas, I think he resembles an oompa loompa - he's just so arrogrant too...drives me insane!

Posted by: Emma from Sydney, Australia at August 10, 2006 03:58 PM

No no, I didn't choose posts for that reason, that is why I chose "threads".

It doesn't matter if someone has posted 5000 replies (although it does show an incredible passion towards someone). The actual topics is just so astronomically higher for Lukas than anyone else that the numbers cannot be ignored.

And if a scientific poll was at all possible, I am sure the results would show a massive audience of female teens and 20's...in addition to those 30-50.

Posted by: bajatango at August 10, 2006 04:02 PM

Loved the double elimination concept but wish it were Jill and Zayra instead. Also wish Josh had gotten a shred of kudos from the band about his skill in the songwriting clinic. It's cool Josh left but others could have and should have gone before him.

I didn't like most of the performances last night - Magni didn't adjust well to the electric, Ryan was all over the place with the anger and screaming - too much! He needs to rein that shit in - you can dance the edge of being unhinged and intense but the best bands take you on the edge and still bring it home with a tight thread of rhythm - he sounds uncontrolled.

I'm in the 30-50 female demographic, clocking in at an ancient 34, and I love Lukas and think Dilana is a Spice Girl in disguise. What, my money spent on tickets and CDs isn't as good as a younger demographic? Please. The younger demographic also buys shit like Paris Hilton's *music*. What does it matter where the numbers come from, as long as they're coming?

Posted by: Suzanne at August 10, 2006 04:27 PM

Linda - I'm glad i brought you some happy memories, but still sad about the departure of your son. Diamanda did a great album with John Paul Jones a while back, I might be wrong here but Dave used a sample from it on Trust no one. hmmm I could actually get up and check the cd book hehe.

Candy - Pretty much everyone in Iceland speaks english, and we're hooked on that internet thing as well ;-> I've never liked Magni much but watching him over these last few weeks I'm totally surpised at how well he's been doing! He made me like a Coldplay song! AND a live song for chrissakes! Can't see him front SN though. And yeah the time difference; 5 hours before the east coast puts the tuesday show on at 1am for us, but still everyone and theyre grandmas are watching. And voting.

What else... Oh Josh - Christian Slater, I totally see it!

And we get Leno a couple of days late, tpc will propably be on tomorrow night, it'll be cool to see Steve, see how much he's changed since that night at the Scrap bar back in '92...

Cheers

Candy, I am one of those women in their 50's that loves Lukas. It just proves that old ladies rock too and appreciate true talent no matter what clothes he's wearing (refering to the remark by Rob K). Noelle, Lukas is not arrogant. I've met him twice, and he is very gracious as well as easily approachable. Don't judge a book by it's cover!!!

Posted by: Linda at August 10, 2006 04:43 PM

I'm also in that 30-50 demo, but have seen enough to know that Lukas' appeal (or lack thereof)cuts across all segments. At least everyone has an opinion, it beats indifference, that's a given.

Looking forward to watching TPC on Leno tonight. Probably will be short for time and won't have much of a chance to hear the boys speak, but at least we will all get to see Dave get his rock thing on!

RS SN: My money is on Magni. Stage presence. Powerful voice. Multi-talented and could keep an audience for a long show. Appears stable and mature enough to handle stardom. Doesn't need gimmicks or props - has class. Seems like he and the "guys" have mutual respect and chemistry.

See on Leno.

Can't say I'm shocked by the elimination of two contestants, I knew it wouldn't be too long before the allstar set up of Supernova did something groundbreaking--first on the show--later with their music.

I dig you're presense there and it wouldn't be the same without it. You're at least 50% of why I watch the show.

Much love.

Dave...can't wait to catch you and the boys on t.v. tonight. Wish you were doing more than one song...I also purchased my TPC c.d. from the nbc website. I would have gone to the mall to pick it up right on the 15th but hate going to the mall. (No local c.d. shops in town)
As far as RS/SN..I still like Dilana, but am growing fonder of Magni.. still like Lukas but he's #3 for me. I don't agree with most posters about Zayra..I think she is fun to watch and I think she can sing but rock is not her thing. Can't stand Patrice, Storm is a great singer but something bothers me about her and sorry to say...Toby leaves me feeling uninspired. Ryan's singing still reminds me of Neil Diamond (on pot) for some reason.

So if Lukas wins this thing, that will be two years in a row in which a contestant from Toronto wins Rockstar - I guess we might see an influx of scouts trying to locate this untapped talent!

And I agree with the other poster who said they're trying to portray Lukas as arrogant as they did with JD last year...

Just want to let you know that I LOVE YOU MAN...
Take care and hey hope you stop by and give me some love on my site...take care

I would pay 2 see Dana any day over Patrice or a few others I'm not nutz over any of em like last year-what was her name..her dad managed the Scorps? Marty too!

Posted by: Carly at August 10, 2006 08:26 PM

Everyone likes different rockers and that's cool and it's the point of the show to create some buzz for the singer and the band and to help other performers careers along...it's all good.

But when Dave said in a much earlier post and has since backtracked a bit that he would have no problem picking the singer... guess what he still thinks that. It's not just Dave either it's TLee it's Gilby and Jason. It's Butch Walker it's the record label it's the producers it's the marketing team anyone who knows the business from an insider perspective knows who the singer is.It's pretty darn obvious.

The only difference from last year when it was equally as obvious was that MB messed with the show more.I mean Ryan has been more of an asshat than JD ever was calling Jill a bitch and telling Dana she shouldn't be on the show because she embarrases him ???MB is showing everyone to be a bit of an asshat this year where he didn't go that direction last year.People overlooked JD's talent because they disliked him so much early on.But it should have been obvious that he was the only fit last year pretty early on.Just as it is this year.

hey dave, do you guys know anything further about a bonus track cd being released as a different version from the standard cd? i just looked on amazon but they only offer one version...and the cover art is what i expected. it looks great!! the one i saw the other day was wrong...it had a picture of what looked like ronald reagan blindfolded in the middle..guess the place i looked it up got their album art mixed up!!

Posted by: MoonRider613 aka heather at August 10, 2006 09:17 PM

asshat? anyway, JD was an asshole a bit 2 last year-and Jill WAS a bitch, so what. Dave was at the house last year and it kept the kids from really fighting~

Panic Channel Rocks!!

Posted by: SweetMelis at August 10, 2006 11:46 PM

Hey Dave,

I wish we had Leno here..sounds like you killed!

At first, I tuned into Rock Star: Supernova because I have been a long time die-hard fan of Jason Newstead...but now I tune in to see Dave Navarro dishing out the honest and very witty critiques! You are every bit the Rocker, Dave! Rock Hard!

Signed..your number one stalker
Samantha xx

ps: Just kidding..I live too far away from you to be of any real threat ;)

Hi everyone. My name is Maree, from Australia and I am only new to this blog, in fact never commented on (ONe) before...sorry had to slip that in there. LOL
I was wondering if someone could let me know if on Leno the boys were interviewed as well...or just brought the house down with Teahouse of the Spirits?
Thanks heaps
Maree in OZ

My SN picks are Lukas and Dilana..I think they have a commanding presence onstage that the others just can't seem to equal.

I loved Ryan's 'Paint it black' performance...sure that tuft of hair on the hoodie was scary but I think his encore gave him the confidence to really come out of his shell. He's come a long way from those first few weeks. Yeah, he may be an asshole in the house..but when he sings..he is downright intense and scary!!! Hope he stays awhile.

Patrice and Zayra should go next..Patrice is boring and Zayra is just plain nuts.

Posted by: Sam at August 11, 2006 12:25 AM

Has the Asylum gone down again or am I having a brain-fart?

Posted by: LostBoy at August 11, 2006 12:31 AM

In the run up to RockStar SN, wasn't it said there would be guest judges each week? Wonder whatever happened to that. Maybe still to come when things get interesting...

No love for the house band this year neither?

Also, isn't Lukas too young to front such a band, I mean he only looks about 14. ;)

Posted by: waler74 at August 11, 2006 12:42 AM

Dude, you guys killed it tonight, I could feel the energy through my tv, fucking awesome, thanks for not disappointing once again!!!!

Posted by: Courtney at August 11, 2006 12:42 AM

Nice Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Wendybird at August 11, 2006 12:42 AM

Great performance on Leno!! You all sounded great...and could the "A" Steve threw up stand for Agents?! That made my night...I was wondering if you guys were gonna do something like that. I could be totally off base, but I don't think so. Didn't any of you fellow Agents see that shit?!
I fuckin love you guys!

Love, Amber :)

Posted by: Ambersonian at August 11, 2006 12:49 AM

I dont know but I dont buy the Ryan Star as rockstar thing...he looks like Adam Sandler doing a Zayra impersonation

Posted by: Batgirl at August 11, 2006 12:58 AM

Excellent job tonight.

Posted by: Mike at August 11, 2006 01:02 AM

Dave, did you really think that much of Ryan's performance of PIB? I thought it was actually a step backward in terms of vocals compared with the previous week....I was really surprised with all of the praise he recieved both from the jury and from the web postings. Not that he should go home - he was just....meh.

Posted by: Tracey at August 11, 2006 02:21 AM

Steve is a cheeky monkey! From the home page og the TPC site:
"And yes, Steve was giving a special message to all the Panic Agents and Asylum members last night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" during the band's performance of "Teahouse of the Spirits"."

So his "A" he did with his hand during the song WAS for all of us!!
At least he did a little sign, and not a "clue" that would have us hunting all over the net today :-p

Posted by: Peebs at August 11, 2006 03:32 AM

I totally saw the 'A' that Steve threw up! I hope that was a sign, that would be so cool if he did that just for us! And to answer that persons question....NO they didn't get interviewed by Jay...I was hoping they would've but that's okay!

Posted by: TRACY (OHIO) at August 11, 2006 03:38 AM

I'am such a dork. I was feeling all mushy when I seen them playing on Leno.. I feel so happy for them..and I did see the Steves symbol thing... :)
Steve had on my eyeshadow too! He looked nice with it on...and as usual Dave smooth as ever.

Posted by: Diane/FRI13th at August 11, 2006 04:21 AM

TPC rocked Leno's house (and more)!!! and Steve was hottt hottt hottt!!!

Posted by: Savvy at August 11, 2006 04:51 AM

Dave, what an awsum job on Leno, you guys rocked so badass! I was already in line to get your cd next tues, but now I will be there when the cd store opens! Awsum dude, can't wait for you guys to tour - make sure you come to So Florida!
Love watching you on SN, your the best part, keep up the great comments, you have been dead on!

Posted by: Artie at August 11, 2006 04:55 AM

Just watched Leno and I gotta say, you guys fucking killed it. I'm so looking forward to this album. Hell I've been looking forward to this for a couple of years.

Posted by: Shane at August 11, 2006 04:58 AM

the only thing that bothers me, regarding SN, is that the contestants mostly showcase their performance and vocal abilities. the songwriting part is a big question mark. dilana is a great singer and performer, and unfortunately that's about it. her lyrics were embarrassing, infantile and lazy. the other contestants didn't present outstanding lyrics either... and SN doesn't seem like a band that can suffer such lack of depth. i put my money on magi. i also believe that they'll get rid of him, when the obligations that are required by the show are not valid anymore.

what happened to NOT making 6767 all about Rock Star?

Posted by: Matt at August 11, 2006 05:32 AM

True that, Matt....6767 is supposed to be all about ME!!!. ur...I mean, Dave...hahaha

hey Dave, it's FLASH FRIDAY!!! Leykis should dedicate it to you....so, if you are on the road today, and see girls flashing their beautiful breasts...it's all about YOU!!!

love,
jezzi(the password is ...grotto!)

Posted by: jezebel at August 11, 2006 05:47 AM

I was thinking Ryan looked like BEN STILLER doing a Zayra impression

Posted by: Jen at August 11, 2006 05:56 AM

Dave you guys rocked it on L(eNO) last night.

After all the deadweight is gone from RS, ought to give up a TPC song for the contestants to sing? I am fairly sure there is at least one guitar player on the couch that can come up an jam it.

Posted by: Schwing at August 11, 2006 06:02 AM

One more thing: tune in next week to watch Zayra perform "She Bang"

Posted by: Schwing at August 11, 2006 06:05 AM

Yeah, Kristen and I saw the "sign" from Steve, we knew (well, thought we knew) right away that it was for the Agents, that was awesome! Great show, guys.

Plus, last night we were on the beach with a bonfire, and Why Cry came on to make a perfect moment. :)

Love,
Sue

I totally missed the Leno performance last night! Aaarrrgh! Please tell me someone can post it on You Tube or some such place, I gotta see it!!!

Posted by: Mechelle at August 11, 2006 06:48 AM

I can't describe how happy I was to see both Shrill and Posh go!

Josh should never even have been on the show. Every time he performed I felt like I was watching PopStar*NKOTB, so wrong on so many levels!

Dilana was my original favorite but after the SWC and her spice girly lyrics I think she's out of the race...
I'm fairly certain now that Lukas will win, which means that I wont be going to any SN shows... Cant stand his voice/look/act. All the makeup in the world wont cover up the fact that he has a cute little babyface.. Last show was the first time he actually sang something... Up until then he didn't just kill the songs, he strangled them!

*lil giggle*

Posted by: Peebs at August 11, 2006 06:55 AM

You guys were fabulous last night on Leno! Only problem is that you were on last, only got to play one song, and he didn't talk to you. I am ready for Tuesday, can't wait to hear the whole CD! By the way, Dave, you were HOT! Wish the camera could have stayed on you the whole time! You left me wanting more........I guess that is the plan. Thank God for TiVo, now I can watch it over and over.

I caught The Panic Channel on Leno last night and you guys were fantastic! Great sound! I'll definitely be buying your album when it's released next week.
Any plans to play some shows north of the border? Say in Toronto?

Take care,

Watching the final frames of Leno - with you directing your gaze into the camera with a thank you - I SWEAR you are taking the title of "Hardest Working Man In Show Business" away from THE MAN James Brown - RIGHTEOUSLY! The Panic Channel brought it!
