RS:SN
Back into Rockstar stuff: I have been reading a lot about Dilana's attitude here in the comments. I have not watched the reality episodes online as my job is to give an unbiased critique of the performances only. I have no idea what these guys are like when they aren't on the show. I told Jimmy Kimmel last night that I stay as far away as possible from the contestants so I can remain impartial. As for the SN guys, I am sure that what they have seen outside of the main show is a factor in determining who they choose as their front person. After this week, there will be only six contestants remaining. This week should be interesting as two of the hopefuls are doing original songs tonight and we will be hearing another original SN song with a new voice on it tomorrow. My personal prediction for this week is that Patrice will go home. She is OK, but not really Rockstar material. I also think that Toby might have one foot out the door too, but I can't be sure. He is definitely good, I just have yet to see him give that one performance that makes me go, "Wow! This guy is awesome!" I have to hand it to Ryan. When this thing started I thought, "Not a chance" with this guy, but it appears he is holding his own. I think he is by far the most evolved competitor we have seen so far. Stormy? She is hanging in there. I'm not even concerned about her until the last stages. I think that it will ultimately come down to Lukas, Dilana or Magni as our final three. Of those three it is hard to say, but I would personally narrow it down between Lukas and Dilana. Honestly, I wouldn't be mad at either one of them winning this thing. This is all just an outsider's perspective mind you, I have no extra insights as to what the guys are thinking. I stay out of that and I don't want to know. As with last year, it is more fun for me when the decisions are revealed live and I learn who is going home along with everybody else. Sure, I could pump the SN dudes for info, but that would make my job boring.

First, second or Third! haha
Looking forward to RS tonight. I agree with your final 3 for sure...w/ Lukas being my choice in the end...here's to hoping he is the one fronting SN wednesday.
Have a good night family!
Love, Amber :)

alright Dave...i respect your opinion on MOST of what you think, but i really think that you're misguided when it comes down to magni in the top three. Storm's in it to win it and she WILL be going all the way. the only way the "iceman" will end up in the top three is if the viewing public realize what a whiner little miss dilana is and they keep putting her in the bottom three until SUPERNOVA wakes up and realizes that the public might be trying to tell them something. no way in hell is Storm not making it into to the top 3 bro, so you best recognize!
STORMnation all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you got some needed rest. Very cool. Take care of yourself. Looking forward to your comments on RS:SN. Sending some love and a boom chica boom from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Wow Dave I just missed your post by a few minutes, so forgive me if I mention this again.
OMG, in this weeks webisode, Lukas is wearing the ring that I gave him. He's wearing it on his right hand. I am so touched that he's wearing it, and happy that it fits. I am going to be really sad if he doesn't win and I don't get to see him again. I guess I'll have t move to Toronto! I can't believe how much I've come to love hiom. I'm sure part of it is missing my son.
I had to get some more tickets to rockstar so I can see Lukas again, and you too Dave!!
Love you too Dave. I keep on voting for TPC artist of the month!
Posted by: Linda at August 22, 2006 04:06 PM
I have to say that I am sure it's going to come down to either Delana or Lukas. But as much as I like to watch Lukas perform, when Delana's on the stage, I am mesmerized. Every time. Can't wait for tonight.

Dave,it looks like new mexico really digs TPC.I am sure the ladies all love you here as they do all over the globe. As for us guys here,we are hoping to see TPC come to NM on your tour. You are the man dude.Peace from new mexico

Well Dave the reality show is starting to work its magic. It seems that fans are almost more focused on what everyone is doing rather than how they perform with and for Supernova. Sure it is important but, I am more interested in the eventual LP and the concerts than the National Enquirer articles.

Just a quick peek to say hi and see what's going on in here. I'm so out of it 'cos we don't get RS in Finland, but judging by the amount of comments regarding it, I sure as hell hope we will sometime soon. Glad to see everything's going so well for TPC after the release. Be sure to come up here next time you tour (I'm sure it's already top of your list, haha)!
Peace!

Hey Dave,
I noticed last year INXS brought a Canuck,a Yank and an Aussie to the finale good coverage there.Although to me Suzie was a much better fit and more talented than MiG but she was from the wrong country. So another Canuck another Yank and this time a European...again good coverage.
Let me say next year could you add another street guy from Toronto or another dude who was on the Beyblade album please.I haven't yet figured out if your trying to make "Rockstars" out of all the Beyblade album people or struggling Toronto artists.I think you should do it just to get the internet boards on their grassy knoll theories even before the show starts.HaHa!
Posted by: KeithMoonLives at August 22, 2006 04:19 PM
So, how many have figured out yet that SN won't really do much of anything in the future? As if it was going to be a "real" band for the long term.
The checks are from this tv series you idiots.
As if, in ten years, or even five, there will be like, "the second Supernova album the world has been waiting for". These guys will of moved on to the next TV project.
For the record, Zayra was the most original and most honest human in the freaking room.
Posted by: jj at August 22, 2006 04:19 PM
OK. I loved Lucas in the beginning but his attitude sucks towards the others and that tells me something about his character; whereas both Dilana and Storm treat people well (mentoring the young chick, etc...) Magni is really good but not great, not mesmorizing, not "bad" enough (somewhere in between Lucas and Peter Pan would be just right)not unique enough. In the end, I think Dilana will win it. You can tell Tommy really digs her big time. GO GIRL!
Posted by: Lou at August 22, 2006 04:20 PM
Dave,
Let's hope it is indeed "Patrice goes home" week. Then again, her performances give me time to run down to the laundry room without missing anything important! Dont get me wrong, I think she has a lovely voice and all, but she is totally not suited for SN.
Ah well, at least there's hot men with tats to oogle!
Down with the eye candy,
Lily

Hey Dave,
I love coming on your site and reading your comments about RS. I like Lucas but his attitude is someting I do not think the band or public would put up with.
I think the winner of this is Dilana.
She seems to be mature enough to handle anything that is thrown on her.
Thanks

Lou, at least Lukas tells people how he feels and doesn't talk shit about them behind their backs. I used to like Dilana, but now I think she is a two-faced back-stabbing BITCH!!!!!!! Check out this weeks webisode if you don't believe me.

Good Show last-nite, glad I remembered. May the best man win RS. LA Times has it on for 10 pst.I heard on the news that only 7% of people post on blogs/or have blogs and only 22% of people read them. Is this even possible I would think it's alot more. This info was on the news after Jimmy last night(and they said bloggers do influence the media they encourage it,ha)I wouldnt think its that rare a breed. Well hope someone breaks a leg tonite. p.s. Dave I think it's good you keep a professional distance, lest your judgement be clouded...ha, ha..(when the poor people sleepin all the *Stars* come out at nite*
Posted by: karin at August 22, 2006 04:46 PM
Dave, I completely agree with you on how far Ryan has come. I don't know that I even noticed he was there for the first couple of weeks and NOW? Wow, what a ever-evolving artist he is proving to be. If he doesn't win this thing, then at least he will have learned something about himself along the way and had a chance to introduce himself to the wider world. Okay, enough love for RyRy!
In response to 'Lou' about 5 or so posts up.. I completely disagree with your thoughts on Dilana treating people well. Bitching behind peoples backs is very low and shows a complete lack of loyalty and trust. The remaining rockers would be absolute fools to even give her the time of day now, as she has proven that she has a VERY loose tongue when it comes to talking to the media. Also, watch out Supernova.. your dirty laundry will be aired for all the world to see if you hire this girl. And really, does Tommy need any more of that shit?
Hey Dave.. man you should knock yourself out and watch the reality ep of the interviews.. just the once, babe, you know.. to humour us ;)
Loves to all!!

Hey guys - this is what I love about RS:SN, these characters polarise people and make them talk, take sides and get angry. That's what will make a good front person for the band. Pale shades of grey won't sell albums.
Dave...I love the way you think.

Hi Dave. I’m psyched waiting to see the performance show tonight. :-) It’s a sage stance you’ve taken by not getting personally involved with the performers this season. It must have been a genuine temptation, considering there are some very cool and fun people in this year’s audition process. But, it has made your contributions to the show much stronger. Can’t say that you’re missing much by avoiding the (un)reality episodes of the show—they are heavily edited and spun/manipulated schlock ‘drama queen’ fare. LOL You’re probably right on the mark with your final three predictions. (Either that, or I’m out to lunch, because that’s the way I see things right now, too. ;-) ) If I’m wrong, it’s satisfying to know that at least I’m in great company. LOL Hope you’re resting up when you get the chance. :-) Peace, man, and be good to you for all of us, okay? :-)

The Dilana worship is getting tiring. This woman has ZERO range and nobody seems to want to mention it during a show. Every time I watch her she reminds of me of a poor person's Stevie Nicks. I don't care what she's like off stage, I don't care if she takes credit for other songwriter's work, on stage she's like a gazillion other bar band singers that are out there toiling in obscurity. The bright spot is that at least with Dilana I don't have to pay a cover.

Hi Dave,
I was wondering if you've ever entered your own name on Pandora.com?
If yes, what are your thoughts about the music it connects you with via its Music Genome criteria?
If no, try it for fun, and let know your feedback.

I think people need to remember it's a COMPETITION. Not a love in. They got on the show to win, not make lifelong pals.
Anyhoo...
Tomorrow night is The Panic Channels NYC listening party @ Snitch Bar 49 W 21st St NYC 8:00-10:00. Steve posted it up on the bands My Space page AND the main page of the bands website! RSVP panicpartynyc@yahoo.com Come down we'll have trivia and prizes and listen to (ONe) together!

Dave, you confronted Phil with the newspaper in which he said negative things about SN. Dilana did something like that in the press junket this week (8), indirectly rather than directly, and it seems to me that you have a responsibility to SN over and above staying aloof and not swaying them as to who you think would fit their band best. Ignorance cannot be bliss for you: You're the executive producer. Step up to the plate and make your call. Don't ignore it.

Dilana did. I mean, to put down others to make yourself look good? Take notes for our dear DN who even though has had his differences with Perry, only said good things about him on Kimmel last night. Sorry, Dilana, that was mean:( GO LUKAS,SKIPPY GIRLZ love;) DN< I think I MIGHT just be as tired as you=wow!! Luv ya hun,Db

I'm predicting that Magni "The Ice Man Cometh" will take this thing. While I sense in the spirits of SN members that they are open to a frontwoman, I still think they'll go w/ a brutha. Dilana is a siren, no doubt, and she is alluring and captivating. I think, though, she may be too "throaty". On the other hand, Magni has some range.
Posted by: Brian at August 22, 2006 05:14 PM
The "meet the press" portion (which I'm guessing you missed) of the reality show was a brilliant idea. Its nice to see peoples true colors when they get harrassed. Someone mentioned Dilana's attitude earlier and I couldn't help but to think, there are a lot of bands who's lead singer is a total pain in the ass (anyone watch supergroup on VH1?). It would seem that the magic formula in rock is to have at least one member in the band with major personality issues...i think there are a few to pick from of the final group.
Posted by: plurge at August 22, 2006 05:14 PM
Honestly Dilana said it best about her music career... "This is my last chance"...
I hope she wins it because she totally does rock with Supernova, but on her own she'll most likely be back in bars doing covers with some originals inbetween. So I do see where she's coming from in winning this in regards to her actions.
I mean all the others can sing her under the table 10 to 1. Also, I feel because of that fact, they make her feel insecure so she lashes out at them. Maybe it's the only way she knows.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to Patrice's and Ryan's original song. Yoo Hoo!!!
Posted by: Savvy at August 22, 2006 05:16 PM
No amount of editing can hide the fact that Dilana backstabbed every single remaining contestant. It would have been so easy for Lukas - good for him for letting it go. Although I would have liked for him to tell that interviewer off!
They said on the radio Lukas is doing a song by the Killers! Woohoo, I hope but doubt it's their new song - what an amazing tune!

Hey, Dave. I've never posted before, so this is new to me, but I just can't hold back any more. You are awesome, Dude! I loved you last year, and love you even more this year. I thought the show rocked last year, but this year it's SUPER DOPE! I'm an 80's music freak. Motley was, and still is, my favorite band, so having Tommy on the show is killer. I love the other boys too. I'm so glad the show's back this year and you are still co-host. It makes my week to watch you and the show. Thanks for that. I have to tell you that a few weeks back, after Z's performance, when you're response was a hysterical giggle, that was just awesome. I had to rewind the TiVo like five times. I laughed so hard, I cried. Love ya, love the show!
Posted by: Tracy at August 22, 2006 05:33 PM
Tracy-welcome to the show:) At the Asylum on here, we have a post on the ROCKSTAR forum about Dave and Jason's reaction- Hilarious! Still tired -DN?
Posted by: Danni at August 22, 2006 05:36 PM
Hey Dave,
Not to harp on it but I would find it a bit more realistic if you actually criticized Dilana's lack of range.I mean Marty got lambased more than once for having a screechy limited range voice.I think Marty sings at least as well as Dilana.
I understand that your doing this to make the show more interesting i.e. that Lukas has some competition. But I mean I heard Breakfast in Central Park that is almost worse than the lotion and thong song.I know you gotta bring a chick to the finale and I know it has to be Dilana but is she going to go the whole show without any vocal critique?
Posted by: KeithMoonLives at August 22, 2006 05:36 PM
I don't care if Dilana's a bitch behind the scenes or not. I don't completely immerse myself in the lives of musicans whose music I enjoy. Unless she's running over puppies in a golf cart for entertainment, it doesn't bother me a bit. The music's good and she's awesome to watch. If she breaks someone's little heart with some comments in the meantime, call it survival of the fittest. A little cleansing of the RS:SN gene pool.
She's still the most engaging person on that stage right now. I used to think the same of Lukas, but I'm waiting for him to not look so swallowed alive in front of the crowd. He's got an interesting look, but he needs to bring it to the stage.
Dave, I believe you're right on in your assessments. And good on ya for remaining as impartial as possible.
Posted by: Lara at August 22, 2006 05:44 PM
Dave, you guys could always ask Dilana if the day she spoke to the press it was "her special time of the month"... lol...
and onto my thoughts...
Dave criticizes Storm heavily when he feels she doesn't bring all she can to a song... He says she can take it... and as we all seen she can...
Maybe Dilana can't take criticism... Some people have ways of taking their weaknesses, like not being able to take even constructive criticism, and using them as manipulative tools in their favor...
But that's just my dime storm analysis of it all...
Either way looking forward...
Posted by: Savvy at August 22, 2006 05:45 PM
Dave,
I think Dilana is becoming Jill and I will have to call her Jillana from now on!
I do care who wins.
Lukas is a creative genius. Jillana is pretty much a good cover singer, but I don't see a lot of creative fire in her.
Dave, why does SN never say anything bad about Jillana? I see lots of flaws in her performance. Are they blind and deaf?
Posted by: Mike at August 22, 2006 05:53 PM
It's frustrating to see only the performances being judged and not taking other factors into consideration.
Dilana's original lyrics to the SN track were embarrassingly bad. Magni's were a big yawn. Lukas and Toby had the best with Toby's being the more sophisticated of the two.
That brought Toby up in my opinion as an all-around talent. To put down his Burnin' Down The House because you saw JD use a bullhorn last year was unfair. The arrangement kicked a$$! Also the siren worked. The bongos were the cherry topper on Solsbury Hill after hitting the difficult vocals. Maybe try and look at him differently.
Hearing the same critique over and over again is really sounding biased these days, especially the remarks about Dilana and Magni. I think knowing what else they have to offer makes a huge difference.
Posted by: Niki at August 22, 2006 05:57 PM
I really don't like Dilana. I mean, I liked her in the beginning, but then.......
1. She cannot write songs, the song-writing clinic? she wrote SUCH a shitty song, "lotiona and thong"?? COME ON, and she did NOT even write that herself....she copied most of the lyrics from this other song "breakfast in central park" which someone ELSE wrote it FOR her.....she cannot even write her own bad music.......
2. she pretends to be best friends with everybody and then bitch about them behind their backs to the media,,,WTF!!!!! talk about backstabbing......
3.her voice.....i just don't think i can listen to an hour of that thing.......
and i don't understand why she NEVER gets ANY criticism....for ANYTHING....you guys have nothing but praises for her....what's up with that?? because a lot of us out here can see some serious problems with her.......
Posted by: Jen at August 22, 2006 06:07 PM
Hey, Dave.
A couple of points.
You TOTALLY tried to influence TLee a couple of weeks ago by saying while he was trying to give his honest criticism "Dude, shut up, that was dope!" And then he totally caved! About someone whom I can't remember. (Or words to that effect.) And TLee totaly caved too and agreed with you! And then there are all your blog posts telling us who you think should go home next? Come on, dude, quit trying to influence the guys!
P.S. Read a good review about a panic channel song on rockband and was pleasantly surprised! Will end up listening to it yet!

I wish we could see the WHOLE show. We only see what the editors want us to see. I read this article a few weeks back. It was written by someone who actually attends the tapings. Let me tell ya, if what he says is true, we are REALLY missing out and getting a distorted picture of reality. I, for one, would like to see the TRUE reality. Isn't it supposed to be a reality show??? I'm not sure the intertainment industry understands the 'reality' part of things. Anyway, Dave, I liked your idea of having a DVD with the full tapings. Please press on, I'd buy it. BTW, what's up with the time change today??? I'm bummed. I should be watching it right now. Anxiously waiting..........................

Patrice is okay? Honey, Patrice is BETTER than okay. Patrice is AMAZING. It's a shame more people can't see that because they're too busy wrapping themselves up in the illusion of "rockers" like Dilana and Lukas. Because a ton of piercings and make-up makes a rockstar, right? Being a true rockstar is not about what you look like...I mean, quite frankly, look at the members of such INFLUENTIAL bands as The Who... Being a TRUE rockstar is about having talent. Patrice has that. Patrice can sing, play guitar, and write lyrics better than anyone on that show (although Storm is also a fantastic writer). But it's for the best that Patrice doesn't get tied down to a band like Supernova. Patrice Pike has gained a lot of exposure through this experience and has gained many loyal fans who will follow her through the rest of her career.
Posted by: Ramona at August 22, 2006 06:53 PM
I agree that Patrice is awesome, just not right for THIS band, and probably all the better for her. She'd be a great solo artist. Not everyone that is left could make it solo, so good for her. Rock on!

I'm not going to put anyone down. The last 7 are all great. My pick is Lukas, who has been my pick from day one. I use to like Dilana and still think she is great singer, but talking about the rest of the group in front of PRESS (of all people the press) was very uncool. Plus I can't see myself listening to a two hour concert with her voice...great for 30 minutes, but nothing longer. Magni has a fab voice, however Lukas is the most well rounded for the band.
Posted by: Dee at August 22, 2006 07:09 PM
I live in the country (big time), no cable, so the dial-up doesn't allow me to watch the 'reality' episodes, so I'm in the same boat as Dave. I can only comment on performances. I don't think that I could listen to Dilana or Lukas for 2 hours. I agree with Jason that Lukas closes off his voice too much. All his songs sound the same. However, his stage perfomance is awesome. I don't think I could listen to Dialan for 2 hours either. Too 'throat-y'. I don't think Ryan has gotten enough credit for the transformation he has made over the past few weeks. He is killer! Has anyone else made the encore twice? However, he would be a great solo artist also, so I'm not worried about him. Storm is all that. I love her crazy eye self, I love her stripped down self; however, I agree with Dave, I didn't care for last week's performance. Too much partying?

I'm not sure why people are getting bunched up due to Dilana's comments. I think it's about time she showed her claws a bit. I thought she might just give away the competition from the beginning, and I'm glad to see she isn't.
Love the CD Dave!

Rock Star is the best show ever! How lucky are we that we get FRESH performances of the songs that are anthems of our generation?? Dave, you rock the show, but this year Gilbey, Tommy and Jason are showing you up. What a great group. My picks are Dilana and Magni. They are the two that I keep playing over and over from previous weeks. I can play Magni singing "Starman" and "Creep" at full volume and it charges me up. Dilana singing the original SN song was totally ROCKING! The kids think I am the coolest auntie ever because I think rock is dope... All you who think Dilana screwed up with the interviews, think of this as a learning experience. She's a great rocker. Cut her some slack and see where she goes.
Posted by: Teresa at August 22, 2006 07:47 PM
Seriously Dave. You have got to be laughing your ass off with all the hate comments.
Peeps. Get. A. Clue. This is a HIGHLY edited Mark Burnett reality show. He create drama out of nothing.
Unless this is your first reality show or have an IQ less than 90, there is no excuse to be calling Dilana a backstabbing bitch! LOL
Do you Lukas Fans believe he is a drunk or lazy or all those other negative things Mark Burnett showed him to be? Really. Get. A. Clue.
With that said....go Dilana! She is fabulous :-)

Storm's howling - er, singing - right now, so it's break time. Up until tonight I thought that Patrice was possibly Cher's mini-me, but now, after having seen Patrice perfom her original song, I'm almost positive she's a hybrid of Cher and Joan Jett. Dear God but I miss Zayra.
Magni was Magni, I don't even remember what he sang and it was only about 20 minutes ago.
Ryan was excellent and his song was pretty damned good. I'm really impressed by the strength & steadiness of his voice.
I'm betting Lukas will be worth listening to, as well. Toby will be adequate, and so darned cute. And One-Note Dilana will sound exactly the same as she has every other time....

I'm surprised that not a single one of the "journalists" hired to "perform" for the "reality" press junket thought to ask what upper middle class "street" Lukas thinks he's from. The dude is definitely not "homeless" or in anyway on or from "the streets". JD Fortune slept in his car because his parent's big house in the suburbs was too far from the downtown core where he partied. Lukas sings the theme songs for cartoons. People - TV is manipulating you. Turn off the TV and go see you an indie band in a local club. Please tip your server. Thank you, that is all.

And just to add to Ramona's RAVING review of Patrice. Right on girlfriend! And homechick kisses girls - oh it's all just too much of a dream come true for TLee.

What exactly what Tommy saying when he said "Check please"? Does this mean he has made up his mind? If that's the case, wake me up for the finally show. I have too much porn to watch to waste my time on a competition that is already decided.

Dave, Dave, Dave
do you really not recognize the talent in Ryan? I know you do.....He is mesmerizing!
Anyways...the show...Dilana is terrible! I think you are blinded, she sang cat's in the cradle and screwed up the words(showed no emotion) and then this week enough of that raspy voice (that's not singing!) Boring!Really Dave, baby.....
Posted by: jenn at August 22, 2006 08:20 PM
Dave to bad you do not watch the reality episodes because they are great way better then last season. Lukas and Toby are so fucking funny this week, they could have their own show. And I am not sure if watching Dilana be a bitch to all the other rockers would throw you off the D love train, if her same performance week after week hasn’t. Not sure what you see her but I am not sold. Toby needs the encore dude brings the boat every week. Love Patrice but I know she will go this week, even though vocally she is so much better then Ismokeapackaday Dilana.
Posted by: lukasfan at August 22, 2006 08:22 PM
live he might have been great, but on tv, Lucas sucked, he really did, and I was dissapointed by that.
Storm rocked. I'm totally lovin her right now. Ryan was rock'n, though his lyrics kind of suck. And the whole tossing the guitar was total Poser Action.
Toby started out weak, but come out strong - the arrangement DID suck. Magni was great. Dil...kinda bored me really, and normally I love her performances. Also, the butterfly things did NOT make her look like bambi on those closeups, man. They made her look like a passenger on the short bus. Yuck. Patrice just didn't really grab me.
Posted by: lpmiller at August 22, 2006 08:23 PM
For certain we'll check out that poll. Check please!
Posted by: B at August 22, 2006 08:24 PM
I really could care less what Dilana says here and there. Though her performance (at least through the TV) was monotone and the same as the last few weeks.
I use to think she could front Supernova, but now I don't because I don't think she can take constructive criticism and has way too many insecurities. I think she'd end up in the rubber room if she got any bad press while fronting Supernova.
Outside of that, it was a decent show tonight.
Posted by: Savvy at August 22, 2006 08:35 PM
Hi Dave! Your blog sounds just like you are speaking instead of writing!
I am soo sick of Storm, but I also missed Z tonight. Ry kicked some ass..Lukas and Di seemed toned down-and I actually liked Toby's version of Clapton. I think Tommy likes Patrice..maybe they will kick Storm..but for sure P will be in bottom three and they will probably boot her instead.
PS do you really have an olympic sized pool? May I request putting "a dip in Dave's pool" in the free giveaways? :D
Posted by: merrymagic at August 22, 2006 08:37 PM
A few comments: Storm's 'Pinball Wizzard (week one)' and 'Everything' were spectacular. I had never heard either song before (I know, pretty lame, hugh?), but, my gosh, I can't get those tunes out of my head. They rock. She's awesome. I think it's kind of a 'girl crush' type of thing I have for her. In fantasy land, I'd like to be her.
Anyway, some comments on this week:
1. What's up with the hoodies????? In my opinion, they can go.
2. What's up with Dilana's eylashes? I didn't care for them.
3. Just want to make it clear that NO ONE can do 'Layla' better than JORDIS; however, Toby started off low, but it got killer as it went on.
4. What's up with the SEX talk?? It's getting old and sad. Are these guys totally SEX deprived or what???? It's not helping the show, that's for sure. Actually, I feel very uncomfortable for those out there that don't really know this group of guys. I'm no prude, but it's so imature. Please try to be more proffessional!

Hey Linda-chatting with your buddy:) I would like to wish two beautiful women, Cori and Denise a HAPPY BIRTHDAY:) Hope it is AMAZIN!:) I did not think Dilana was good tonight. Ryan should ge the encore. Dave, can I take a swim sometime? I love swimming:) luvin the sparkly cross attire on the guys:=;)
For someone who mentioned not talking about Rockstar- we literally talk about everything and everything on this blog. I feel pretty relaxed here. I mean you can only say Dave is sexy SOO many times! Mkay. Love to all 67ers and Agents!

Hey Dave,
The show tonight was great. I thought Toby and Lucas brought it. I just dont know why Patrice is still here... Oh yea and your so hot dave!!

Hey
I love your commentary on this show. I'm really glad you are able to be so honest about your thoughts.
When I first started watching this show and saw the performers the first thing I thought is Ryan seems to have molded himself after JD Fortune. The more I watch him the more it seems like that ;) Was going to throw up some seperated at birth pics but I'm lazy hehe
I like him but somethings missing.
Storm is to much in your face for me (in every aspect of what she does). Not much else to say.
Toby is cute but I don't think he's got what they need and there is something about his voice that is just not right.
Patrice will go home probably tomorrow.
Magni - I think he's a good peformer but he's hit and miss, or seems to be. But then again I guess what we hear on TV and what you hear in person can be alot different.
Dilana - what can you say about Dilana. I liked her at the beginning but the more I watch the more I lose interest in her. I know shows are edited but the stuff she said yesterday on the realty show were just low blows. Contest or not -no one else really stooped as low as she did. I don't think it made her look better. I also didn't love her performence tonight and I didn't buy the "I haven't talked to my mother in a long time" BS. Seemed like she was trying to buy her own "pull at the heart strings" story line.
Lukas - welp I really like him. Not because I'm Canadian but because he seems to light up the stage. Everone is wondering what "check please" meant, care to share Dave?
Oh and tell him to lay off the beer hehe ;)

Just wanted to add that Dilana did a terrific cover on "every Breath You Take" so that seems to throw the "she doesn't have a range" comments right out the shitty window. ;)
Posted by: merrymagic at August 22, 2006 08:51 PM
Chopper liked Patrice. So did I.
Almost all the performances were good, Ryan really surprised me, still a little over the top, but he brought it tonight.
Disingenuous Dilana..yawna. When does the stripper pole come out?
Lukas has kept a steady pace (with 1 minor slip) but the others are improving so it appears that he's losing a step but he's not.
I liked Toby's arrangement of Layla he made it his own and he performed within himself.
Storm is quite the drama queen no? Don't tell me that your fearless, just be fearless.
Anyone else miss the bottom three at the end? How the hell are the great unwashed gonna know who or who not to vote for?
Good show Dave...I'm diggin' (ONe) more and more. It's not perfect, but it's damn close :)

i didn't see any "range" in Dilana's take on "Every Breath You Take"... Granted most anybody would pale in comparison to Sting singing it... She did fair...

HI Dave, love the show. This year and last you have always been honest but this week I was shocked that you did not call Dilana on talking smack about all the other rockers. Were you afraid that if you did talk to her about it before she preformed that it would blow her show? You did'nt worry about that when you called Lukas on his bottom 3 comment at the begining of the season. Dilanas comment were to the press not to her fellow house guests. She lost my vote for the rest of the year.
Posted by: Janet at August 22, 2006 09:19 PM
Janet, re-read the first paragraph of Dave's post. The trash talk was left out of the broadcast. It was repeated in the At the Mansion segment which is the televised replay of the webisode.
Posted by: B A Hughes at August 22, 2006 09:25 PM
oh yeah... one last thing about Dilana...
man i never realized how insecure she was...
the way she cringes when the other rockers
gets praise from SN is just too much...
my hope for her is that she gets some couch time
for her insecurities with or without Supernova because it seriously holds her back...
oh yeah, thanks Dave for letting us be snarky to one another on your blog... you totally rock for that!!!

YOU are THEE master of opportunism. Almost every spoken word, gesture, appearance, blog post, performance, facial expression, photo and bit of body language...is done to an amazing degree. It appears to be painless for you. Is it? I am charmed.

What the fuck, Dave. So, I'm right. Storm, no matter how talented she is, is only around fo the T&A and yor desperate need to find a dominatrix and TL to flip his dick at. I think Dilana is a hack and Lukas is childish, primadona. Storm blows me away every week (including the Gloria Ganor debacle). I'm sick of Dilana's shit and if this is all SN can focus on, well fuck it, they deserve her. Ryan is a trip and Toby rules. What the fuck is wrong with you guys? The only taste you have in your mouth...hopefully not your own cum!
Posted by: brnduck68 at August 22, 2006 09:31 PM
OH..and PS. The only thing RS ever offered was one "original" artist...Jordis Unga. Don't care how she butchered Layla...she's a true artist...Dilana is a psuedo facade of a rock star...Jordis lives it!
Damn!
Posted by: brnduck68 at August 22, 2006 09:34 PM
"Check Please" is right. Some of you guys are good, some of you are really good. There is no shortage of talent and honestly some of you are stronger singers, but really...you can all head the fuck home because LUKAS IS THE MAN. Nevermind the makeup and "the skunk" or the guttural, the guy has IT.
Damn I wish Dave and Lukas were fronting together. Killer.
Posted by: bajatango at August 22, 2006 09:34 PM
SN will get it right in the end!!..... just like INXS did with JD. Caught INXS live in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend and JD gave a rockkkkinnn performance.
My bets are on Lukas and Dilana too. Altho Magni is growing on me. Lovveee Ryan..although I don;t think they'll choose him in the end.

Interesting you don't watch the reality epi's... but I see your point/goal re: last year.
My first top 3 was Lukas/Dilana/Toby, then it was L/D/Storm... after tonight I think it will be L/D/Ryan. I don't usually like Ryan's voice but I thought he was AMAZING tonight and I've wanted to like him so much because he comes off so well in the reality shows.
You said "As for the SN guys, I am sure that what they have seen outside of the main show is a factor in determining who they choose as their front person." So does that mean they are for SURE watching the reality epis? I hope so... because if they do not call D out on this weeks press clinic I'll be so disappointed, and personally I even think it's stupid to get worked up over that shit, especially like some other people do. But this... It's just this one and only thing they just NEED to do. NEED!
Posted by: CJ at August 22, 2006 10:16 PM
Dave--if you could help me with some insight here--I would greatly appreciate it.
I don't know--maybe I am pms'ing, lmao. Something happened with the energy, or direction, with these performers and show. I am not jumping up and going that was hothothot or even having feelings evoked of me in disagreement. Just sort of numbing right now. hhmmmmmmmmm...I know it is easy to be an arm chair critic--I sincerely couldn't do what these performers have done. I do respect and understand the pressure and effort of each contestant. And, it isn't that my favorite performers are gone--they are all still in top running.
If you notice what I am saying--do you think it is the song choices? Or, do you think a contestant that has gone home somehow interjected a certain vibe and high energy for the collective group?
I miss jumping up and down and loving the hothothot performances.
Much love for you--for all!
Sincerely,
Jen

Very frustrating to be on the West Coast and get the comments here before seeing the show. Living in paradise has it's drawbacks I guess... I can't wait to see what Dilana and Magni bring to the show tonight. Dave, keep wearing those vests....

One more thing, Dilana's perf tonight - I thought this was beautiful ... right until the weird subliminal "Dilana Dilanas" came up. What? It was good all the way until she starts crooning her own name into the lyrics - Huh? After that she completely lost me, but only probably for that one time (because I was laughing) so I'll enjoy it when I watch it over again. I enjoyed that performance I think as much as I liked her earlier ones. I supposed it'll make my ipod.
Posted by: CJ at August 22, 2006 10:27 PM
Ryan & Magni ~ screamed their way through their songs.. dont remember ryans song NOT good
Dilana ~ flat and pitchy and bad eyelashes and outfit... gilbys dog could probably hit the notes better than that witch
Toby ~ needs to keep his shirt on
Patrice ~ not much of a rocker
Storm ~ back to the eye gymnastics yuck
LUKAS ~ PERFECT VOICE, LOOK, AND THE ULTIMATE ROCK STAR CHECK PLEASE
Posted by: chris at August 22, 2006 10:28 PM
Dilana is so narcissistic she sings her own name during her song... cant stand that nasty bitch.... she was terrible w/ supernova last week
Posted by: lenny r at August 22, 2006 10:33 PM
IMHO, that subliminal dilana, dilana, dilana in the song lyrics was just plain wierd.
I think Dilana was trying to mimic Lukas'amazing lyrics during the songwriting clinic.
It sounded like she was trying to copy the effect of Lukas' song writing.
Remember: "stop talking, stop talking, stop talking......"
Yeah- more attempted plagarism from Dilana!
Sad! I'm not surprised!

Dilana: I think she will win but I don't think she is the best
Lukas: Could win, better than Dilana for sure
Magni: Great guy, great talent. I don't see him with this band.
Storm: Love Storm. Will not win.
Ryan: Love Ryan. At this point he is my fav. This guy is really good. He could win.
If SN wants a woman to front their band, I suggest they start showing some respect. Enough with the, "I wish you had less clothes on". The only person they have showed that respect to is Dilana. This is why she will win, unless Lukas does.
Posted by: David at August 22, 2006 10:47 PM
I thought Dilana sounded good tonight. but boy is she hokey.
Magni was really good.
Toby just killed it, loved the way he did Layla and im a hard core Clapton fan.
P sang her little heart out. ya know just something about that girl I Like.
Storm - she is just sooo fraken hot.
Ryan - I want to like him I really do. Meh
Lukas - Not my fav song from him, but he really knows how to work a stage and the camera's.
T3- Toby,lukas,Storm
B3- Patrice,Magni,Ryan
Peace

Linda and Chris, IM is a good thing:)
Linda, many warnings, of COURSE when RS was on. I am expecting more severe storms at exactly 7pm CST again during the show.
You know, it might just be helpful if ALL contestants were criticized ! Dilana does do wrong.

Please let anybody win but Lucas. The fact that he turns his back to the crowd is so lame and once again it had to be pointed out Gilby and he didn’t get it the first time. Lucas mumbles his words and maybe it isn’t noticed because the songs lyrics are ingrained in the sub-consentience of all of us. Too Robert Smith for SN. Magni doing Radio Head blew Eddie Munster AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DooDun DooDun...how could Lucas leave out one of the greatest guitar riffs of all time??????
Posted by: Lynda at August 22, 2006 11:31 PM
I was objective this evening. I've been loving Dilana. Liked her from the very beginning. Why? She was different. And she fit. I even liked Z for her entertainment value.
Anyway-I've always voted for Dilana because I've dug everything. Except tonight. GAG. Not her song, nor style.
Haven't been a Ryan (was it "the black horse"?) Star fan-but he got my vote tonight. I'd pay to see that. Kudos to him for giving it his all.
Storm doing Aerosmith. Ouch-that's a toughy for me. MAJOR 'Smith fan. Can't wait for November...get to see them live with the Crue!
Anyway-she did good.
Maybe Lucas needs to be the first to perform...he completely bored me. It was late...maybe it wasn't his fault.
Eager to see tomorrow...even though everyone pretty much knows Patrice is going home. I think even she knows....ah well.
Posted by: SJ at August 22, 2006 11:32 PM
I thought Chopper the dog rocked it tonight...
Anyhoo, I haven't been a Toby fan, but I LOVED his version of "Layla" tonight. It was very original, but once again why can Toby get away with not wearing a shirt, and Dave and T-Lee can't?
I thought Ryan did a great job with his original song, although I didn't care for the lyrics but I think he gravitated those towards SN's style.
And I have to reiterate about Storm from my last post..."Clearly Storm can sing," but I can't stand her attitude... her constant fist-pumping to every song, and her dramatic reactions to whose in the bottom three each week... like last week when she was ecstatic to be in the bottom six (which I thought she should be) and then so disappointed when she wasn't in the bottom three. I'm sure we'll see more of those dramatics tomorrow night. It just all comes off very fake and annoying. And then she was straddling the married Magni in the latest webisode.
I too am so over all the "can a female front SN" sexist comments. What does being a female or male have anything to do with it? The comments are being made as if to imply weakness in females. Hello, it's 2006 and it should be based on the individual's talent, regardless of if you're a male or female.
Bottom line is RS:SN is an entertaining musical soap opera. Unless the winning singer/songwriter makes a great difference in the end result (released album), it's not the kind of music I would buy or go see live anyway.

First off, tonight's show was amazing. The best of the season so far, by far.
Before I say anything else, I have to say, Ryan's original song was unbelievable. I haven't really been a fan (he's slowly growing on me), but I can't deny him props this week. He sounded great, looked great, and really put on a good performance. The song was really good and I can easily see Supernova recording the track. He may have just moved into my top three... awesome job.
As far as the other contestants are concerned, I still think this is the women's contest to lose. Not only are Storm and Dilana clearly the best singers in the bunch, but they pretty consistently have the best onstage personality, too. I wouldn't mind seeing either one of them front the band... I just get excited to watch and listen to them every time they're on. Both songs were phenomenal tonight. Dilana is still tops, but Storm has the chops - no question. They keep marching on!
Another very honorable mention this week goes to Toby for his KILLER performance of Layla. I don't know what Gilby was smoking, the high-energy electric version of this song was fantastic (and should have been right up his alley)! I keep listening to it over and over... he really put his heart into this one. I think of all the remaining men in the show, he has the best voice and although I don't think he is as engaging a live performer as some of the others, I think he would sound very good on a record. I'd buy it.
As for the bottom three, without hesitation I have to say it's Magni, Lukas, and Patrice. Magni held his own on the Nirvana vocals, but the performance was lukewarm and really didn't bring anything new to the table. Whatever that beanie thing is he's been wearing lately is both really unflattering and distracting... I really hope he wears something different tomorrow. I like that he's a dad and he seems to be a nice guy, but unfortunately this competition isn't about who can best change a diaper...
Lukas is... well, what can we say about Lukas? I think his "shock value" is finally starting to wear on people... I'll give him credit for his style... he is definitely an individual and knows who he is, but that being said his vocals are really just mediocre at best and I don't think the random stage spasms are going to hide it anymore. His performances just keep getting more and more bland and I don't even really get the feeling he wants this anymore... he's been rather quiet and unenergetic on the show lately. I really hope he gets a taste of the bottom three this week, because he needs a dose of reality.
Patrice... oh, sweet Patrice... sorry babe, but it's your time to go. I don't need to say too much; her original song was yawn-worthy and she just doesn't have the pipes to front a rock group. Maybe she could get together with Jenny and start a band... they'd probably go well together. Anyway, I thought Patrice should've gone before Jill, so it's no question as to who I think should go this week. Thanks for playing, see you later.

Just checking in. I loved to hear ya all bitching about Dilana. The one bitched about the most is the threat to win ;-)
Face it peeps (a big shout out to Lukas Fans in particular), the thing that bothers you the most about Dilana is that she is kicking your Rocker's ass! Need a hug?
Dilana rules!
p.s. Dave. We want "scary" Dilana back again soon!

"....you average 25 million visitors a week here on 6767 and traffic has increased 90% over the last 3 months!"
HOLY SHIT! 25 million visitors a week?!?! If that's true...thats just insane. I'd like to know the website that has that info. I believe the 90% increase in visitors, thats been overwhelmingly obvious...I used to be able to read all the comments in minutes...totally impossible as of late!!
RS:
Loved Magni - He sang the hell outta that song, when he broke into the chorus I got all excited cause it was perfect! I think he had the best *vocals* of the night...definitely deserves the encore.
Toby, pretty good...one of his more memorable performances for sure. Ryan...HELLO, what's going on with this guy?! I fought it for a while, but I'm becoming a believer. Delana - eh...usually enjoy her much more. Kind of boring performance tonight, nothing special. Lukas - I love him. He has that magic that can't be faked...he has 'It'. Storm & Patrice...not so much.
For my money, Magni deserves the encore (or I guess Ryan now that I think about it...) and Lukas needs to perform w/ SN.
Love, Amber :)
Linda - was Lukas wearing your ring on the performance show tonight? I was looking for it.

Hey Dave & All - Just a few thoughts... =)
1) Dave - Totally agree with all of your thoughts as to the final three - it seemed obvious from show 1.
2) I'm definitely no saint, but does Lukas have a drinking problem? They are looking for a rockstar and he is definitely that; however, the guys in SN have already been through years of the trouble heavy drinking can bring to a band and the rockstar life can quadruple that problem. Something to think about.
3) To all those beating up on Dilana - she has one of the most sexy, husky and powerfully engaging voices I've heard in a VERY LONG time. Her performances are always mesmerizing. If SN truly wants to place a new & different stamp on the rock world, they should choose a strong female lead with a unique look and sound. Choosing one of the others will be nothing more than the same sound we've heard for years - but with a hardcore bad-a** band behind it.
4) Dilana backstabbing? Review the webcasts again - all of the rockers at some point talk about the other rockers - that's backstabbing. Dilana did it in front of the press - out in the open.
One more thing (not to Dave)- some of you need to GET OFF YOUR DAMN HIGH HORSES - what are most of the comments listed here if not "talking about" Dilana and the others - it's just cleaned up and called "commenting", "chatting", or "blogging". Get over yourselves.
Dave - Loving Rockstar. Keep it going!

I do like Dilana the best and Storm--I certainly do get Lucas. Anyone care to place a friendly wager with me? Even though I like Dilana and Storm the best--I do think if they only chose one person that it would be Lucas. I will bet a pound of chocolate, lol. I do hope that ultimately the band chooses Dilana and Lucas as co-leaders. I will place a long-odds bet of two pounds of chocolate on that, lol.
Enjoy,
Jen

Hi Dave,
I listened to TPC album this weekend on Rhapsody.. it was awesome! Not that I would expect less with you involved. Congrats! Very excited to listen to it again. I've read 6767.com for a while, and I think it's incredible that you post here so often, listen to your fans (read their posts!), and give your honest and genuine opinion. You seem like a very cool guy... which makes me like you even more. Loved RS:SN tonight... the original songs were great, and i thought Ryan really brought it tonight. He's finally getting comfortable on stage and early on I would have said I don't think he could front SN, but now...I really think he could. I think Lukas, Magni, Dilana and Ryan should be top 4 based on the last few weeks. Best of luck to all of them... and I agree with everyone that we'd love to see you get up on that stage Dave! Have a good one...

hi dave! first of all i wanna tell you that you've gained a new fan in me. i love the panic channel. you see i'm a recent rock convert chick who just truly adores rockstar (way back RS:Inxs). fearless forecast: last 3 rockers standing will be MAGNI, RYAN AND DILANA/LUKAS. umm.. yeah that was 4. but anyway, ryan oh my gosh. what a hottie who can truly rock it, sing it, whip it. magni, what else is there to say??? i'm not a fan of dilanas actually. she scares me but i can tell how much she really wants this so kudos to that. lukas is also a born rockista so i don't know... may supernova make the right choice. and let the rockin begin!!!

Hi Dave,
The show is just Great! There's no other word to describe it. All the rockers, the songs, the host, the cat fights, the backstabbing thing... wow, it's just awesome. A Real Big Entertainment!
But... with all regards to all SN members, it's YOU that i'm waiting for every Wed's and Thur's nite. You're the Man on the show!!! It's COOL, dave!
Hey... i live here in Indonesia.
We've got 1 day delay for the show. And your blog has become my little cheat sheet! Hahaha...
Last, Dave... i'm truly sorry about you & Carmen.
Seriously!
Don't know you guys personally, all i know... it does hurt!
Well, what can we say.... when the pain has gone, it's time to ROCK again!!
xoxo

Hi ya, Dave and the Gang,
Here's the old fuddy duddy weighing in. I've decided I guess I'm not much of a rocker chick after all because I enjoyed very few of the performances tonight.
I can't quite put my finger on what is it that I don't like about PATRICE, but her voice just bothers me a lot.
My daughters said MAGNI sounded pretty good on this song, to me it just sounded like noise. He's still my third favorite.
I think I would have probably enjoyed the guitar/piano version of this song that is on YouTube, but RYAN is still my pick of the litter.
STORM has the voice of an angel and I love to listen to her sing. This performance was my favorite of the night, crazy eyes and all. She's my second choice.
I really, really hated DILANA's performance. She didn't sound as much like she was going to burst into a coughing fit, so I guess that was a plus. There wasn't one thing special about it, except for the hideous eyelashes. Didn't chanting your own name in the middle of a song go out with Chaka Khan? If not, it should have.
TOBY's song had a very interesting arrangement but I didn't feel it did the song justice. Toby was certainly the most entertaining he'd been even with the kindergarten style letters on his tummy.
I seriously don't get the LUKAS thing. I really don't understand the playing to the band habit, his butt just isn't good enough for me to pay to see it for a whole concert. He did merit a huge jump in my respect this week for the way he handled himself in the interviews on the reality show.
I don't know how anyone could keep up with SN's suggestions, "Use the guitar," "Lose the guitar," "Don't grind," "Hire Strippers," "Don't mess with the arrangement," "Why didn't you change it up?" No wonder some of the contestants look so dizzy. And when did Jason stop giving the most helpful advice of the bunch and just start asking them how they felt while they did whatever they did?
I'm not sure why there was such an emphasis on the whole Dilana/Press thing if it wasn't going to be addressed on the show. Another SN mystery.
My choice for going home is the same as the majority, Patrice. I would have Dilana and Lucas in the bottom also, but I doubt the Golden Twins will fall from grace anytime soon. The only other guess I would have would be Toby and Magni to round out the bottom three, however undeserved that would be.

Dave, Dave, Dave. Magni, top 3? BOR-ING. Dilana? POSER! Okay, media clinic aside (where, by the way, she totally proved herself to be a PR liability by saying that she knew some people hated the Supernova track..yes, she was trying to put down her competitors, but that's not the point...to say that anyone hated your bands tune to a member of the press is DUMB DUMB DUMB....Dilana confesses housemates aren't thrilled with Supernova's new music...story at 11)...Okay, yes, media clinic aside, she was pop with a capital P singing that Sting song. She Beyonce'd her way through it, from the "breathe breathe" "Dilana Dilana" cheesiness to the moves (pointing to her eyes to indicate watching) to the Pink Panther video eyelashes. How is that right for Supernova? Couple that with her poor writing skills, and she has ZIPPO cred. She's a good cover singer. Period.
Ryan, on the other hand...now that guy is a musician's musician. He can write, he can play, and he sings with tons of passion when he finds something to connect with in the right material. Lukas has a bit more of a magnetic charisma, but there's also something about Ryan that draws your eye and makes you want to watch.
I think the final two should be Lukas and Ryan.

Wait a minute... what exactly does an executive producer do? I find it hard to believe that you have 'no idea' about the reality based portion of the show. Plus if you haven't seen the 'webisode' - then what's with all the talk about people running naked around the pool? How would you have known that had happened had you not seen any of the reality episodes? The fodder for your pre-performance banter would be little further past, "hey guys..." A big giant WHATEVER.
Posted by: JackNancy at August 23, 2006 01:20 AM
Dave - forget all this Supernova junk, you and Lukas should form a band together!

Dilana tonight = sauteed in CHEESE SAUCE. flat (vocals), missed a coupla notes, boring. WHY AREN'T YOU GUYS HONEST WITH HER??
Toby's Layla arrangement = really cool, his voice gave it the flavor it needed to work. I grew up with Layla and haven't ever heard a cover that worked, especially Jordis'. Toby didn't need to take off his shirt, but for SN, maybe it was a good thing. I like his humor.
NOT BUYING RYAN AT ALL. Thought the concept of his song was great, the lyrics didn't speak the concept to me.
Not getting the Magni appeal either.
I'm trying not to be disappointed in this year's show. Hearing that you don't watch the webisodes and therefore, can't factor in other aspects of each contestant is really disappointing. If you'd see how UN-creative Dilana is, your critiques might sound more honest. Hearing you say what you say to/about her doesn't feel honest because there is so much information missing.
Toby's original lyrics were strong for SN. Having that information about him would help you to appreciate him more and Dilana, Magni and Ryan less. There is a real-ness to Toby's creative talent that gets overlooked.
I understand that you're doing your TPC thing and I appreciate that. I saw a video and thought you guys were really good. You're definitely the prettiest of those guys. The song is great.
I just wish you'd be more involved in the show just because the critiquing is a huge part of it. It's been frustrating.

I found web traffic info for this site. very impressive. 25 million a day, but it doesnt say how many are unique.

25 million a day? That seems excessive- I am not saying Dave's not popular but he would probably have had to run around the stage without a protective blur to get those numbers. But what do I know? Its very late and voting fogs my head.

I slept trough the show. 2am isn't working for me and I'm not sure if it's due to my dendist appointment or if I'm losing interest...

Hey Tracy...
"Just checking in. I loved to hear ya all bitching about Dilana. The one bitched about the most is the threat to win ;-)"
You just helped proved my point. Dilana is bitching about the others because she is scared she's going to lose. Thank you...

Tommy's a great drummer...
but please shush the sexist pig faced Tommy comments directed at Storm... i'm sure she's had enough but is being nice to him... so give him a pacifier shaped like a breast to suck on when he starts to act up...
Dave I actually see your comments as less sexist and more comical banterish exchange between you two...

lol Ezekiel
the site doesn't reach 25million people, it reaches 25 users PER million.

When is Storm going to bust out and show what she can do? As the show goes along I'm getting tired of Dilana. Actually, no one impresses me too much. They guys in SN will have ALOT of work to do with whoever "wins". I doubt if any of them have the vocal chops to front this band. And yes Tommy, lay off the sexist comments already.

It's strange to see the difference in Dave between this year and last year in Rockstar - I think it's pretty obvious that choosing not to get personally involved with the rockers has changed his attitude to the performances a huge amount. Like I said before, there were performances last year that would have been ripped apart by Dave if they were on this year, but last year they were his "Baby Birds" and he clearly wasn't going to be hard on them.
I can totally understand given all the crap he's got going on right now that being the Mentor this year wasn't going to happen, but I can't help feeling that the show and the rockers are missing out as a result. Having SuavePorn take a far bigger hand in things is better from a forcing improvement aspect, but as has been pointed out, there's no real consistancy to their criticism - people are told totally opposite things week to week and while that's "tailored to the performace", as it were, it's not giving anybody a clear idea as to what's going on.

And to repeat myself, I don't think SuavePorn have a lot of work to do to mould someone like Lukas or Ryan into a Rockstar - based on last week, I think Lukas or Ryan would have a huge job to mould SuavePorn into a credible band. They did themselves no favours with their performance last week. I'm with Elton John when it comes to Lip Synching I'm afraid.

P.S. I liked Chopper the best. Go Chopper!

"I don't know--maybe I am pms'ing, lmao. Something happened with the energy, or direction, with these performers and show. I am not jumping up and going that was hothothot or even having feelings evoked of me in disagreement"
I agree with you. I spent last night kind of flipping between performers. Even Lukas lost some of his luster - and I'm not sure why (still love the guy tho and I really didn't think he turned his back to the audience that much).
Dave you were even toned down last night and the guys on the couch are the biggest reason I watch hehe ;)

If Storm wins this thing she will have a ton of sexist remarks and such to deal with and not just from TLee. She seems to handle it pretty well. I'm sure she's used to it. Not that she should have to be but when you're hot, that's the way it goes I guess.
Was loving Dilana, not necessarily my favorite anymore, still think she's best for SN though. I must mention Ryan and his effort. I really appreciated his orginal. For the most part he's very intense.
