Dav,
I read on the boards that you guys blast Storm tonight, that she sucked...Maybe as exc. producer could arrange for better songs? I don't think it's fair when the music you pick for them sucks...
I still agree with you that Dilana is #1!!! my other favs Lukas #2, and Ryan #3. I personally think Storm is trouble..but maybe thats what the boys want...See you in my dreams. Your CD ROCKS!!!!Thank you.

Dave,
Great album! I don't think it's going to be leaving my CD player for a while.

I know 13 is an important number for you, but what is the meaning of the 13th track?

Posted by: Creggers at August 15, 2006 01:35 PM

GO ON was the best song on the record

Posted by: chris at August 15, 2006 01:38 PM

Just got home from my Panic Channel shopping excursion--went to Circuit City, bought two copies (and subsequently got two shirts!!!!), went to Best Buy and bought another copy (had to get the download), and when I check the mail I am hoping my Amazon copy arrived.....if we had a Tower Records, I would buy from them....

I am now wearing my new PC shirt, and am cranking the CD....love it!!! What a great day!!!! Thanks to the Panic Channel for the awesome music!!!!! :-)

Posted this on the Panic site, but wanted to hit your site up as well Dave.

Just ran out on my lunch break to pick up the debut CD...absolutely LOVE it! From just talking about the album (sorry...I'm old school), to actually having it out in the world and in our hands, you've taken me and all the Panic Agents on an incredible journey. Best of luck, and thanks for having us all along for the ride.

P.S. How about a Panic attack in Vancouver B.C.?!

Posted by: John D. at August 15, 2006 02:15 PM

I'll be holding a listening party at my house..Plenty of coffee and cigarettes will be available.
Yah..Dave can you get into more details about Track #13...it's been driving me bonkers.

Posted by: Diane/FRI13th at August 15, 2006 02:16 PM

Track 12- Lie Next To Me- A Capella, really tight, interesting harmonies....BRILLIANT. Period.

The whole thing is great, but that one is my favorite.

Okay, I just bought ONe at Circuit City and they didn't give me a shirt. I didn't even know about it until I read your post Dave. I shouldn't be surprised seeing they didn't even have ONe in with the new releases. The guy tried to tell me that they didn't have it, and I said check your list. They finally found them, under P in rock and roll. Thanks for the heads up Dave, because I just called Circuit City and they are holding a shirt for me.

I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole Cd yet, but I love "Left to Lose". You sound so amazing Dave, if you're as good in bed as you are on the guitar, WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DYNAMITE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Linda at August 15, 2006 03:30 PM

listening right to (ONe) right now. Your guitar tone on Left to Lose is badass. lovin the CD.

Posted by: Shane at August 15, 2006 03:40 PM

TO THEE ROCK GODS...
"ONe"--Simply AMAZING & BRILLIANT--you guys covered all realms--hard, soft, and in between, just the way I like it--My Fave, "Left To Lose"--that shit is off the Rock Chain!!!
Can't tell you how many times I hit the rewind just to hear the guitar intro, that is my new favorite song...
Got a Free Tee, nothing better than that, I will wear it with pride until there is nothing left of it! Listenening as I write...

Dave,
(ONe) RAWX ! Excellent !

Wayne and I got ours this am at CC ~ the T-Shirt is very cool, we will wear them with pride this week !

We think the original Bloody Mary was an "epic" rock ballad. What happened to that arrangement?
Bet there's a good story on that (ONe)....he he he.

Party On !

Posted by: Sharon Roberts at August 15, 2006 03:50 PM

Dave, you mentioned before that "Go on" was off the record. WHY again? U should have left it in and skip track 13.

Posted by: Frank at August 15, 2006 04:02 PM

^^I think 12 mixes in perfectly with 13...I first thought it was the same song!!!

How are you guys spending this (ONe) great day?

Hey Dave

The cd is great!! I liked all the arrangements. I did like the original version of Bloody Mary better though, I think it showcased each member of the band a little better. Still, great job!!

Posted by: reezie at August 15, 2006 04:45 PM

Hi Dave -

I just downloaded ONe from itunes and am rocking out to it right now. It sounds great. Congrats to you and the rest of the band.

Love, LA

Posted by: LA at August 15, 2006 04:53 PM

ONe RAWKS big time. Saved my miserable day. I didn't have time to hit Best Buy on my lunch break and couldn't wait till after work. Some kind soul should hit me up.

Posted by: SHOE at August 15, 2006 05:08 PM

Dave this record is the shit! This has been a sonic assault on the rock world today i love it man!

Posted by: Winston at August 15, 2006 05:14 PM

Went to 2 circuit city stores this morning. Both stores were sold out of the shirts. They told me that each store gets only 10. Bummer. I had already bought the cd somewhere else, but when I heard about the shirts I went to get a second copy.

Opening act? You guys rock WAY to hard to open for another band! There's no way! It would be perfect if KHZ opened and TPC headlined... regardless, you know I'll be there with bells on, but I just think you guys are way too awesome to open for someone else.

Spreading the love,
Deena

All I have to say is that you should be very proud of this album....it's totally amazing and I can't wait to see you guys rip it up live again....

Thanks for all that you do for us...including giving us great balls out rock n' roll!

Oh Dave… Guess what I’m holding in my hot little hands? ^^ Love the new CD. You’ve done yourselves proud, lads. :-) I like the slightly funked up groove, badass guitars and when Steve hits those soaring vocals it’s just “Oh yeah, Baby! I can definitely hear your unmistakable ‘sound’ on different tracks, too. Someone could have blindfolded me, played selected parts of “ONe, asked me who was on guitars and I would have said “Dave, immediately. LOL The album art’s pretty wild, too—great job. :-) So many CDs come out now that have one or two good songs on them and the rest is garbage. Thanks for producing tunes that rock from the first heavy-hitting intro to the final countdown. “Teahouse Of The Spirits is definitely going to be a favorite, love the vocals on “Why Cry and the rest of the album just plain rocks. You’re going to have to share my play list with Lukas Rossi, though, because I’m completely hooked on his “Headspin, “Riddled, and “Bored & Gorgeous tracks. LOL

Dave, I love ONe, it's rare for me to like all the songs on a CD. The only one I'm not too fond of is "Lie Next to Me". I'm not trying to be critical, I just want to give honest feedback. I totally agree that "Left to Lose" kicks ass! I'm surprised that you guys didn't make that your first single. I also looooooooove "Night One".

I'm going to the rockstar taping tomorrow, and much to my surprise, I received an e-mail saying that Supernova will all be playing together for the first time.

I posted about our NYC listening party at Snitch (Wed 8/23 8-10 pm) before I actually got the CD in my hot little hands after work. I immediately popped it in my car CD player right there in Best Buys parking lot.
Can I say....WOW...I had chills listening to the entire journey. I don't know how I made it home without crashing my car!

Thank you!

Circuit City @ Camelback & 16th St hadn't heard of the Panic Channel, let alone had t-shirts.

Dave, got my copy of ONE and thanks to you posting the info about the tee I got it too! The CD is amazing and I can't thank-you enough for remembering the 'AGENTS, ASYLUM MEMBERS AND SRL PEOPLE' in your thank-yous in the cover! That made me feel so great that you thought of all of us! Congrats to all of you on the album! Can't stop listening to it!

Congrats on your new "ALBUM" I still call it that and I know what 45 and 8 tracks are too
I will have to be a "bad" fan and wait until I get paid to get ONe, I will consider it my early b-day present.

About rockstar-Crashed after work and woke up around 8:30pm. Woke up to violins and quite music. Made me want to go back to sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZZ song choices. I only started watching at Patrices performance , so I can't say who did worst.

Who did song selection tonight? Were they informed this was SUPERNOVA?
I could care less if Criss Angel was up there playing violing the music sucked.

My vote:Patrice=didn't see Zayra. Thanx Dave for being generous and accessible. Db

DAMN! BIG BROTHER SUCKS DOG SHI*!! I'm going 2 listen to INDIE until 900 when Rock Star comes on. Yes!

Posted by: Bird Vaccine at August 15, 2006 08:16 PM

damn. have to hit circuit city tomorrow! Congrats!

Well, I don't like Storm so screw her for blaming vegas on picking a pop song and then dressing like a man for it.

Lukas kicked so much butt, it was like Rockstar is just a long intro for Supernova with Lukas. ;)

Then it dawned on me tonight that the gravelly sound to Dilanas voice is really her utilizing vibralto..and hence the shivers..the lady has talent!

The tempo seemed fast for Toby's cover with Gilby..but I dug that he hit the bongos for the finale.. he should have made it a wee bit shorter and finished owning the stage.

Zayra..how could I not mention her..I am telling you, the new Linda Rondstat..I would LOVE to see SN behind her..she puts a NEW twist on everything!

I did and still do, like Patrice, esp the way she tries to peer down Brooke's shirt for some mam comfort after you guys buried her.

PS. Last week I got this lovely Jersy Bull Calf, on a bottle.(he is...I bought him at a livestock auction) A glorius red thing..named Star..but now, Rockstar, Supernova! (he just needed a couple of hits of penicillin in the ass to bring him around to full glory)

Question: what should I name the wild eyed new one (he's brown and white, holstein/jersey) ?

Hey Dave Hey FaM*lY! Just got home from work (i.e. ORMC the burn/trauma intensive care unit) hard ass long day! I went to circuit city and picked up the (ONe) and I asked for my shirt they guy goes..."Uh...what?!" I said "You know the free shirt you get for purchasing the album?" He then went and asked his boss about these shirts and he came over to me and said "O My God!" I am sure he was shocked to see me in my scrubs with sulfamylon solution, blood, and fucking hypodermic needles hangin out of my pockets waiting for this shirt and cd. Then he proceeds to tell me he had only (ONe) shirt...I told him.."Good! I am the (ONe) who should own the (ONe) shirt!" So he went and got it for me and it was a LARGE! O well its a dress right now as we speak! HAHAHA! But a great night and it has been even better since I picked up my shrimp scampi pizza from california pizza kitchen and now am eating and enjoying the (ONe) Thanx Dave! Tell the guys they are fucking awesome you guys just made life a little more exciting for everyone go celebrate that shit!
ALL MY LOVE

I don't get how you guys hated Storm - who did a very interesting, Cake meets James Bond Theme Song version of I will Survive, and yet, loved Ryan, who really comes off as pretentious singing what is a huge, iconic song.

Of course, I don't get how Cat's in the Cradle is a huge rock song, as Brooke said. Though yeah, Dil rocked it...but it ain't a rock song.

I too think Toby's song was really too fast in the beginging, really threw off the pacing.

Congrats on One, have sampled it on itunes, grabbed some songs - need to take more time with it when I'm not surrounded by family (I always spend a ton of time in itunes, trying to make that decision of "Do I like Enough Songs to Buy The CD, or do I just grab a couple of songs?") So far I like what I hear.

I LOVE THE CD DAVE!! HAPPY 15TH TO ALL!

Posted by: MoonRider613 aka heather at August 15, 2006 09:02 PM

First, congrats Dave! I listened to ONe all day! Love love love!

So the Dilana songwriting thing is getting interesting. And not in a good way.

You know Dilana's awful "original" Thong Song on the Supernova bedtrack sounds just like her old song Breakfast in Central Park?
http://www.redbullet.nl/public/media/breakfast.htm

Turns out Dilana didn't write the Breakfast song. A guy named Jan Koster did. Her label put them together, and he wrote 4 songs for her.

Sooo. She can't write, and she lifts from other people's work to make up for it. Seriously Dave, Supernova don't need this kind of crap!

Here's the lyrics and writing credit for "Breakfast".
http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1097674

She changed the location from Central Park to the mansion in LA. So instead of "Bring your lotion and your thong" it's "Bring your martinis and your Liz Claiborne specs". Um, LOL! She should have picked a GOOD song to plagiarize!

Posted by: acebandy at August 15, 2006 09:05 PM

(ONe) has arrived, and not a moment too soon! It's a keeper.

As for RS:SN, I think Storm had a bad song and did a sub-par job with it. To me it was "mute" bad. But she knew it, so the negative comments just slid off her for the most part.

Agree about Ryan, very pretentious. Thought the house would be going crazy again for him, but it was just a whole lot of throaty yelling. Jason should have got on him for that like he keeps doing with Lukas.

Dilana got your nod Dave, but to me it was nothing special, no chills to be found, just doing her same thing she does every week. Not bad, but just standard fair imo. And whoa, what is up with the send everyone else home comments? Tommy doesn't seem to be buying her cocky thinking at all.

Magni can sing, but gotta disagree with Brooke's comments about his stage presence. He is doing the same movements on stage everytime now. Blah.

Pretty dull show overall. And the editing is way out of hand...even Dave fell prey to it. Apparently EVERYONE wanted to do the original song at first, but editing made it look like only 2 were battling for it. Hence the look of surprise when Dave chastised them. Like Magni said, don't believe everything you see on tv!

Posted by: bajatango at August 15, 2006 09:07 PM

Lukas is probably the best but SN will choose Dilana because I think they are looking to pick a girl. It would cause much more of a stir. Ryan is really good but not for this band. Poor Storm, she knew she was fucked....and she was. Z is a very smart cookie and knows exactly what she's doing. Watching her sing her style, her way; like a completely different person. She's just not a rock singer. Nothing wrong with that.

just heard the cd really liked "tea house, left to lose, said you'd be" the entire cd rocks they just stand out.

RSSN:

Toby was pretty good.

Z I just get a kick out of her.

Lukas always fun to watch. great stage presence
(wonders if his mother hooked up with Brando)

Dilana Blah (tries to remember why I liked her before.) *gives up*

the rest Meh

WTF???? I am so done with you, and your contrived piece of shit show...

How are we even supposed to take anything on there seriously when Gilby says "act like you are singing in our band" but you give them ABSOLUTE SHIT like gloria Gaynor to sing...

C'mon admit it, they have already decided that Lukas or Dilana is their choice but for advertisers sake, we are just pretending this is all real.

All this on a day that should be a glorious one for you, but with each passing week, you, Burnett, and Tommy Lee become a bigger and bigger joke. I hope you are getting paid enough to look past the embarassment of being associated with that project. Maybe you are not even to blame...maybe Exec. Producer is a title only to justify your paycheck, maybe I need to copy this post to Mark Burnett...

Now that I think of it, I will!

Posted by: Scott at August 15, 2006 09:45 PM

my copy of (ONe) shipped Sunday, I might get it before the international release...it's the first time I've looked forward to a new album launch since the downward spiral came out. And no, I haven't been in solitary confinement for the last 12 years....CONGRATULATIONS on the release, it must be an amazing feeling to realize that your garage band dreams have come true. All the tracks are killer and I predict it's gonna be a MONSTER!!

Storm ruined a gr8 Cake song. 'Sauteed in wrong sauce' that is a classic line...too much lol

wtf is vibralto?

Dave, can't wait to check out your album, I think this site is very cool. Love you on RS:SN.

When you bring up Marty Casey on RS doing "Hit Me Baby..." and the awesomeness of it (which it was), please remember it wasn't that original, Travis did it just like that before Marty, and even one of the Hobbits did it on some talk show, Letterman? Leno? At least Storm tries to do something creative with the shit you give them to pick from.

Storm is the SHIT, btw. LOVE her. Dilana's starting to bug.

Lukas and Dilana killed it tonight. Lukas is better overall. I do think the song choices are really not that good. There have been several repeat songs from last year and not that many 'rock' songs altogether. I'm not sure how the selection process goes, but it could be better. i do understand that you're trying to appeal to broad audience. The people who post here are true fans of rock. Oh well...

Posted by: Jack at August 15, 2006 10:38 PM

(ONe) is amazing...every bit worth the wait...CONGRATULATIONS!!!

RSSN: I'm becoming frustrated, it seems the majority of the contestants have no interest/intention of being in SuperNova...there is not even a pretense anymore...they are just using the stage to showcase their own particular thing, whatever it may be. Too American Idol...

I have to hurry up and post before I lose my connection. Hi Danni! Anyway Lukas kicked ass not Ryan!!! Then you said Dilana was good, which she was, but I don't understand why Jason doesn't get on her case about the gravely sound of her voice. I liked the way Lukas was sitting, almost like he was in the audience. I thought everyone else was boring!!

Danni, I just e-mailed you back, I haven't been able to pick up a wireless connection tonight. It would be a lot easier if I was looking for a drug connection!!!! hahahaha

I'm using my roomates computer, and of course she doesn't have flash player, so I couldn't fuckin vote. I"m having a really fucked night, well actually if I was fucked, I would feel better! haha. I have to get up in four hours to go to the taping today. I will really be a bitch if I don't get in!!!!

Heads up, Jon Bon Jovi is going to be on Larry King Live today (Wednesday) at 6pm PT. I know you're going to love me for this one Dave, but there may be some other Jovi fans here?

ONe reason I will enjoy my ride up to LA (God knows I couldn't find another one) is I will be rocking out to TPC all the way. Hopefully I won't get rear-ended again!!!

Hello Dave...haven't received my cd in the mail yet but I already know it's awesome..saw you in AC, NJ and have been playing samples on napster. I just want to say that some comments up there are really off the mark as far as I'm concerned. I know people are entitled to their opinions.. but....I'm pretty happy that I have RS/SN to watch, I appreciate the fact that rockers that aren't known worldwide get to be on t.v. and rock out for some of the best musicians in the world...who could complain about watchin that? I like the fact that they are challenged to do something with songs that aren't necessarily rockin'...so...I think you deserve your paycheck.

Dave ,Well Im not going to be fake like most of the people on this board, I thought this was going to sound like some studio musicians trying to be the next new thing because corporate wants them to be even though they suck . But Im actually proud of you for not completly cheesing out. Yeah there is just a tad bit of cheese but not enough to stop me from listening to the cd. I really dig the solo's something bands just dont do these days. It has a Jane's /Lite Anthrax early John Bush days kinda feel. I hope the outcome of the sales and the popularity makes up for all the bullshit in your life right now. Hang in there Bro.
