The (One)!

Thank you to everyone who sent the birthday wishes! I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate it than with you guys and the band last night at The Roxy. It was bitter sweet as the evening also marked the last date of our Spring Tour, but we will be back in the fall, touring harder and longer than ever before. I honestly can't wait. Also, we will be doing shows here and there over the summer so we won't actually disappear this time. The past month was absolutely amazing and the most fun I have ever had on tour.

Tonight is an all new Spread Radio Live show with my co-host Gregg Simon. I am really looking forward to getting back into the show with some regularity. We should be on around 5:30pm PST. Look for the spreadradiolive AIM name to know when we are live as always. Gregg will be at the helm of the IM windows so we can have a lot more interactivity tonight.

I'd also like to send a huge congratulations to Lyn a.k.a. OLDSCHOOL, who has become the (ONe)! Nice work dude! You have been there since day one and all of us are totally proud to have your name included in our album liner notes for all of eternity. In fact, I just noticed the plant you gave me just got greener. Yes... It is still alive and kicking right here on my desk.

Here is a short film of all of the 7 clues assembled in the right order to create the riddle, "From these black seeds the Phoenix rises". The answer, of course, is "Ashes" which Lyn was brilliant enough to figure out in 6 clues!

Gregg and I will come and join you in your homes later tonight!

Congratulations to Lyn on winning! How cool is that? You're the man! This calls for a big celebration... maybe even a ticker-tape parade.

OK, I'm tired and am going to leave work now. If I'm awake later on, maybe I'll see you all at SRL.

Cheers,

Dave, this is Linda, I met you at the Canes Concert (not that I expect you to remember me). I wrote this poem for you, I based it on some of your revelations in DTTAH.

THE MAN BEHIND THE MAKEUP

He's handsome, talented and charming, but what dwells within the man behind the makeup?

Walls surrounding heartache and deception
They protect him from abandonment and rejection

In search of a remedy to fill the emptiness inside
He seeks constant pleasure, a place where he can hide

Love is often difficult to define
At times a fleeting moment, sharing only an embrace
Sometimes a haunting memory, that time cannot erase

Without sounding too terribly cheesy, this is all just a bit overwhelming. Seems as if that lucky bamboo plant has brought us both some luck in the past year and half eh Dave? :) Thanks for all the thanks folks, it's greatly appreciated. My only regret was not being able to be in LA for your bday. I hope you had a blessed one.

Dave Navarro and TPC is honored to have ME included in the liner notes of the first album? Wow, too much. I guess the sun shines on every dog's ass eventually.

I love you Dude. Thank YOU and the band for the contest, the commraderie it created on the board, your effervescent personality, the example you set for millions, and for just being Dave. If you ask me, TPC is the (ONe)

Posted by: OLDSCHOOL at June 8, 2006 10:47 PM

I thought we had to wait for the final clue number 7 before answering? Oo I mean I thought the answers would only be counted it you found all seven clues by finding them properly, not by guessing them.

Well, whatever..:shrugs:

Lyn! Congratulations! It's a bitter sweet feeling, but I'm glad that it was you. I think I threw Steve a funny look when he was telling us you won 'cause he asked me "are you mad?" I was happy for you the whole time!... Mostly. ;P

Nice post, Lyn. You're a class act!!!

Now someone tell me....have they had a drawing or something for the PRS? Wonder how many people actually registered at the shows for it? I know I did!!! Did you???

See you in the ASYLUM, inmates (I mean family)!!!

**Now someone tell me....have they had a drawing or something for the PRS? Wonder how many people actually registered at the shows for it? I know I did!!! Did you???**

Man...I couldn't find where to enter at the Independent (SF)...anyone from that show enter? Where the hell was it?! I was totally bummed that I couldn't enter.

Dave - I finally downloaded iTunes yesterday and got Why Cry and Teahouse. I was wondering if you are singing the backup vocals and/or harmony on Why Cry?

Can't wait to hear last nights SRL on rotation today at work!! Always makes my day a little sweeter. :D
Love, Amber

Posted by: ambersonian at June 9, 2006 08:43 AM

ambersonian - at the Independant there was a table to the right of the Merch area or in front of the Merch area, depending on how you looked at it. Of course I was too discombobulated to manage entering, but I did see it.
