Updates

We are just days away from re-launching Shop 13. There you will find new Spread Radio Live merch including camisole sets, hoodies and men's and women's shirts. I know we are due for another live broadcast. I am just a few days away from being all caught up time wise from my trips and I plan to go live within the next few days. I'll be flying solo as Gregg Simon is in Europe with Carmen.

Also, we are three days away from The Panic Channel Site v2.0 launch. Some of you have been able to get in there and we don't mind. In fact, feel free to explore and use your imaginative skills.

Gossip:

So, here is what we are dealing with here. Carmen and I were in a press line for Scary Movie 4 the other night. A reporter asked me this question: "If you were stranded on an island, who would you rather be with? Carmen Electra or Pamela Anderson?" I am absolutely not kidding! So, I look at her and say...
"Um, Carmen Electra..."
"Why?" she asks.
"Well, because a. I love her b. I married her c. she's standing right here! Are you fucking seriously asking me that?"
The reporter looks up and says, "Well that's the question I have written down here."
So, the point is, these people aren't always geniuses. They are sometimes on some kind of scary autopilot feature without any idea of who they are talking to and what their surroundings are.

I'm not saying this is the case with all press, or even with every sensationalistic news source. All I know is that as of late people are reading way too much into things.

So regarding all the gossip... Are we getting a divorce? Are we having a baby? Are we doing sex aerobatics? Well, none of these things are true. However, I wouldn't mind trying the sex aerobatics thing!

Can't wait for TPC album! As a young guitarist, I am constantly inspired by your work dude.

One question: I read in an interview that Eddie Van Halen once spit on your car. Is that true and why? Honestly, I am just really curious.

Awesome site.

Posted by: olsen at April 14, 2006 07:18 AM

Lookin' forward to the new TPC site Dave,

these reporters all have thier research from the wrong places huh,why don't they just check this place out?
Making something out of nothing,i guess they think if they report un-truths that eventually they will come true and they will have they're "you heard it here first " bullshit.

I imagine you both must be getting pretty tired of the persistantcy of these stories.

Posted by: Steve L at April 14, 2006 07:20 AM

That reporter's question is just funny, I'll be laughing at it for a couple of days.

And you could have just answered, "because she has bigger boobs", or something like that... a stupid question deserves a stupid answer.

And just a thought for everyone: Carmen and Dave having a baby, that child is gonna grow up to be really really hot...

Posted by: Rhonda at April 14, 2006 07:37 AM

Morning D & Fam,
Dave, not sure who sets up the Ticketmaster links, but do you know that there are 3 dates up? And 2 spellings for TPC, one has "Panic Channel", the other has "The Panic Channel". Don't know if you want to have that fixed, but just FYI.

Screw the media, bunch of morons. The important people in your life (Carmen & your family and friends) know what's going on, right? Who cares if a random rag reader gets their kicks out of the BS gossip? Rise above, you always do. (although I am sure it can wear on you). Hang in there.

Posted by: Sue at April 14, 2006 07:41 AM

Thanks for the update! The anticipation.....

Posted by: Junebug at April 14, 2006 08:14 AM

Dude - if you do decide to try the sex acrobatics thing (sex aerobatics would have you fucking on the wing of a plane, where not shitting your pants would be impressive enough), let me test it out for you w/ one of the vixens. If this thing goes bad, how are you going to tour with a broken penis?

Just thinking about you dude – because I care about the music.

Posted by: Lance at April 14, 2006 08:16 AM

Yeah Baby get your sexercise ON!!! Welcome home I can only imagin how slammed you are!!! Ummm did this reporter even know who either of you are? Gossip sucks but the tabloids are sure enticing. I never hear any gossip about you and wouldn't believe it unless I got the scoop here.

What???Ticketmaster dates...ah yeah, gotta check that one out right now.

Happy Easter kidz

Kisses

ooh new clothes to buy! can't wait!

some reporters are just morons and want to stir up problems. they also take rumors and "explore" their truth, mainly adding to the rumor. but that was just ridiculous of that chick. honestly now.

Posted by: Megs at April 14, 2006 08:33 AM

I can't imagine anyone choosing Pamela over Carmen! Some jerks, like my ex-husband, would have chosen another woman, he used to try to pick up on them when he was with me!

I guess I'll have to check out Ticketmaster website, because the Roxy said you guys aren't performing there on June 7.

How the heck does one become an illustrious celebrity journalist, anyway? Who do you have to know? What kind of background do you need to qualify to ask those hard-hitting questions... who's wearing what, who's doing who, who's too thin, who's too fat... Such important matters!

Whatever the case, I hope everyone is doing well today. Happy Good Friday, even though it's not exactly a 'happy' holiday for many... but Sunday is just around the corner. (So is the weekend, come to think of it. Thank goodness!)

Sue - Thanks for the heads-up about tix going on sale. 3 dates? I didn't know the dates were even 100% definite yet... Are they doing 3 shows in NY? Anyone know?

Much love to all,

Dave,
Tuesday night I was standing in the press area (even though I'm not press but schmoozed the security guy ;-)) when the reporter from channel 7 detroit came over and was relaying the "interview" she had with you and ended it with "Are you always this cranky?". My friend and I looked at each other and just started laughing.

TV Reporters sometimes are complete airheads who NEVER do any backround investigating before an interview. At the HRC opening in Sept the airhead from VH1 "Top 20 countdown" interviewed Matt and Duff on the red carpet and she ended her interview with "OH go inside and HAVE A DRINK"! WTF? You obviously do not know that Duff lost half his pancreas to alcohol. She also talked to Les Paul like he was a dottering old coot who wandered away from his nursing home.
I was standing near her during her interview process and thankfully couldn't hear her....or there would have been trouble. ;-) I had to watch it on VH1 a week later.
But you were a doll when I met you as you were leaving the HRC!

Take care,
Robin

This is what the press should focus on:
(from a UK interview w/Carmen)

Carmen, who wed husband David three years ago, claims she has finally found happiness.
She said:..."This is the first time I have ever been in a relationship where the other person allows me to be me. And it feels good. He loves me for me and I can do what I do what I have got to do and it feels nice."

Posted by: Sue at April 14, 2006 11:39 AM

camisole sets....sweet ( : can't wait
And wow...reporters are that freakin stupid. hmmm, maybe that should be my next career ( ;

Any chance us 6767.com fans will get a chance to get The Panic Channel tickets before the general public? Also is there any chance of a public NYC Camp Freddy gig in the near future?

Posted by: Pete at April 14, 2006 03:35 PM

Posted by: St Nick at April 15, 2006 06:16 AM

Happy Easter everybody x

and I have a prize of a nice big Easter Egg if anyone can e-mail me a cure for sinisitus when I can't get me any anti-bionics for the next 3 days :-(

Posted by: Miffy at April 15, 2006 08:48 AM

Miffy,
I only like to play doctor (and then again w/ only about half of the population), but you may want to try to flush that stuff out w/ some salt water. I did a quick search and came up w/ http://www.sinuses.com/toc.htm
Your milage may vary, your nose or other favorite parts may fall off, you may become gruesomely deformed (I hope not, but I take no reponsability if these or other horrors occur).
Hope you feel better.

Savvy, I always go for the eyes first. I'd hate to think he can see me eating the rest of him (her?).

Not a Doctor Lance

Posted by: Lance at April 15, 2006 10:13 AM

LOL - Lance, one Easter egg coming your way just for making me feel like someone cares!

Now - have you got a site that tells me about the tonsilitis which now looks like it has joined the sinusitis? I'm thinking I might just go see the on call doctor tomorrow and get me some of them emergency anti-bionics though ;-)

Until then - LB have you got an emergency recipe for that egg poo soup stuff?

Miffy (feeling very sorry for myself and whinging like a 7 year old)

Posted by: Miffy at April 15, 2006 11:37 AM

Sorry bout the lack of sexual aerobatics! Surprized the hell out of me!

Posted by: biinstinct at April 15, 2006 01:16 PM

Hi Miffy,

I've have something that makes me feel great when it's sucked on, but seeing that your not feeling well, it's probably not for you.

The sore throat is probably from the post nasal drip from your sinusitis. If you can get a hold of a decongestant to dry you out and take some vitamin C(deez nutz - sorry, can't resist), you'll probably feel better. 1000mg of C 4 times a day until the sore throat goes away should work. Lots of fluids too, so the C doesn't crystalize and give you more problems.

We'll we've certainly taken an interesting turn at 6767. Any gynocological problems I could take a poke at? (anyone??)

Feel better,
Lance

Posted by: Lance at April 15, 2006 01:30 PM

Hmmm...
"I've have" Apparently I have to go back for a refresher on english as a second language.

Posted by: Lance at April 15, 2006 01:32 PM

Hey Miffy,
I have a friend that swears if you boil epsom salts and inhale the steam that it clears your sinuses out immediately. I haven't tried it, so I'd check into it before you try it, but she says it works wonders.
Hope you feel better, I just got over that!
Lance, you're funny--too bad you couldn't meet up with us the other night at the CF show...
Love,
Sue

As long as we've decided to reinterpret aerobatics, I feel justified to reinterpret Aeroplane to fit:

I like pleasure spiked with pain and
My penis is my aeroplane
It's my aeroplane
Sometimes sweet and sticky rain
Comes from my penis aeroplane
It's my aeroplane

I'd continue, but I'm probably only entertaining myself.

Posted by: Lance at April 15, 2006 01:45 PM

Hey Sue!
I know - it SUCKED missing that. I really wish that I had a chance to meet up wityh you guys.

I really appreciated the photo's and the Vids that Caffiene Sue put up. Really helped a lot.
