Vegas/NYC/Merch
Well, that was kind of a drag. We got from Nice to London without a hitch, but our flight from London to LA was grounded for two hours after we boarded, making our 11 hour flight into a 13 hour flight. As a result, I missed my connection to Las Vegas and just came home. I would have whined about it, but Sir Paul was on my flight and if Sir Paul can hang in there, I guess I can too. To make matters worse, my DSL connection was all jacked up when I came home so I wasn't able to do our Thursday SRL. Of course, it's working fine now after hours on the phone with tech support telling me that everything is fine on their end. It eventually just fixed itself. I'm sure you can imagine that I am not too comfortable in life when I can't connect! Well, the Universe is looking good now.
I'm just about to roll out to Vegas and meet up with the Freddy boys (Matt, Chris, Dono, Scott, Billy, Duff and I) to do Cheap Trick's Surrender on a Spike TV awards show. That is at 8:15pm tonight, then directly after I have to jam over to the Wynn Hotel to host the Maxim Hot 100 Poker Event. As I said on the radio the other day, I'd pretty much host the Maxim Hot 100 anything. "The Maxim Hot 100 Watching Paint Dry Event." Absolutely!
Tomorrow is NYC where I will meet up with Carmen.
P.S. The Spread Radio Live merch is coming along and looking killer. We will have the store up very soon for pre-orders.

Dave, When it rains it pours! Glad you have such a good attitude about it all. I wish my life was as exciting as yours, but when I wish for excitement, it's usually a disaster! Take care, thanks for taking time to check in.

Really, Paul??? Did you get to talk to him? YOU KNOW this is a big year for him, being that he is turning 64(which I'm sure he is so tired of talking about). I just love him! Have a great time in NY. Hey, among all of those plans, remember to SLEEP(maybe with some sex thrown in)

That sounds like good stuff (delays and lack of DSL excluded)!
Be sure to provide some smalls for pre order! I know last time with the 6767 stuff it seemed everyone wanted bigger sizes... but some of us are in need of the small!

Perfect choice for a one-off for SpikeTV, the first time I saw VR in July '04, they closed with Surrender, I love that song and they rocked the shit out of it!
Hope the next leg(s) of your trip go a little smoother.

Dave, do you support Serius? Hopefully some of your fans will log onto it, and then you can go on stern...You guys need to get a jammin tune and play on Serius...Play a phish tune!! You probably figured that was coming! Anyway..I do think you need a satellite channel...everyone else has one...You planning any musical appearances in NYC? Medeski played last night...Ever heard DJ Logic? Should we expect any samples...or keys? Might be fun to take some extra tracks up next time your in the studio...are you on myspace?

I didnt know you still drank...ex:handcuffs comments...Is that a more recent thing? As a social worker I believe in individualized treatment plans-what works for one doesn't work for everyone. Its cool that you dont endorse it or talk about it for respect to the program and the fact that many fans are addicts and not everyone has the same threshholds...I still find it so hard to imagine that all the music icons kick dope without methadone considering all the access to the stuff, all the money, the pressure and the fact that they dont have to go through the dirt (stealing/blowjobs/selling their only guitar) to get the shit. If your ever on Stern, you gotta ask Artie if he is on the sh!T...the comments he constantly makes sound like someone who dabbles...and who dabbles? One more question, if you ever break an original string from kurts jaguar...would you send it to me before you threw it in the trash? Do you like any of the small Fenders-the mustang or the jaguar and do you play/own any. Competition mustangs are such beautiful instruments.
Have ya seen Jerry's toilet?

Hey Carly, I was in cubicle yesterday also and did indeed suck, but probably not as much as it would if I were in a PUBICLE!!
Posted by: Edie at April 8, 2006 12:17 PM
Dave, that plane routing sounds like a real bitch.. I hope they had some fine whiskey on board!
Funny how them computer connection problems will solve themselves like that sometimes! So cool...
...and the world spins around...
Wishing you a sanctuary Saturday!!

TATTOO QUESTION!
Dave, what is this?
http://rhcprock.free.fr/photogallery/tattoos/dave_palm.jpg
Posted by: JustinKohli at April 9, 2006 01:20 AM
Let me be a real dick, and give you an answer on something I know nothing about (just regurgitating what I found on a website), incase Dave doesn't have an opportunity to answer your question about his palm tat.
According to http://www.so-to-speak-if-you-will.com/tattoos/#hands, it's a "...marriage symbol tattooed over a pagan hand-fasting wedding scar."
You can google handfasting and get the real answer, or if you prefer, you can believe (like I do) that handfasting is the act of not rubbing one out - (used in a sentence: "I work in a cubicle and must handfast for EIGHT HOURS because the computer techs won't replace anymore of my stuck keyboards")
