Cannes

I've gone to Cannes, literally for two minutes!

Mark Burnett (3 min)
Brooke Burke (2 min)
RockStar Reel (3 min)
Dave Navarro (2 min) Talk about Supernova
House Band w/Mig 4-6 songs (30 min)

I'll check in when I get there. In the mean time, feel free to use the chat, listen to SRL, do some community time and talk amongst yourselves! If you want to throw me some questions, I should have some time once I arrive. Be well...

Well, hopefully, the good thing about only having to appear for two minutes will mean you have time to see some of that spectacular view!! Thanks for the pic!! Have fun!
love,
jezzi(talking amongst myselves, ;))

Yo Dave, I just heard Chaney's been working with Taylor Hawkins on his album. You heard any of that stuff. In other news, should I be worried that TPC album seems to be taking ages before it graces my ears?

dave do you and carmen ever go to the santa monica pier?

Posted by: MrNiceGuy at April 2, 2006 11:21 AM

Dave:

When is CFR going to start playing some Detroit Cobras and Chuck Prophet? You can't tell me you guys don't dig "YA-YA-YA" by the Cobras! And Prophet's the best lyricist working today. C'mon, Dave, put 'em on CFR.

Whats up Dave? This is Dru Gash. I auditioned on Friday at the knitting factory for Rock Star. I had so much fun auditioning. I have never had that much fun at an audition. It was so cool & every body was totaly nice. It was a great experience. I was pretty nerviouse but what the hell. I realy hope I am one of the 16 people picked. Any way shoot me a line. Late. DG.

Dave... just wondering what your opinion is on Courtney Love selling off a 25% chunk of the Nirvana song catalog?

au revoir,

Hello Dave!

As busy as you've been lately, are you still able to set aside time to write in your journal each day?

Have a great and safe trip!

Here's a question as the debate rages on...

Dave, do you think the accesibility of on-line porn is detrimental to society, and damaging to marriages or is it just weak-willed people unable to make the distinction between fantasy and reality that create havoc?

Just wondering.

Posted by: Byn at April 2, 2006 01:27 PM

i'm overjoyed at on-line porn,i'm too short to reach the magazines,LOL

Hey Dave and Fam :)
Here's a couple questions to possibly choose from:

~Out of all the places you have traveled over the years, what would you say are your favorite places to go and why?
~What skin care products do you use?
~What project was Greg talking about in that letter to the journalist that you are writing/working on?

Hope everyone has a great lazy Sunday, especially you Dave in beautiful Cannes! Im very jealous...what a life :)

Hi, Dave!

Wow! Sounds like a good two minutes. How is MiG doing? And what is he doing now?

Are you enjoying yourself?

Always,
me

Heres a question:

You said you are playing Times Sq...where exactly? Or is this an outdoor event? Is it open to the public? Anyone that knows the answer, feel free to answer. Thanks!

I'm heading to the Sydney (Australia) auditions on Wednesday... any chance in hell that you will be there? I wouldn't be able to concentrate if that was the case...

Posted by: Fi at April 2, 2006 05:39 PM

Damn! I was hoping you'd be jamming on stage with Heart, April 7th, in Clearwater Florida! grrrrrrrrr... :(

Posted by: Jacee at April 2, 2006 05:42 PM

Hey Dave, 2 questions:

1) What's the tv drama you're co-writing/co-producing?

2) When will you launch Spread Records? (you should).

Dave,
Do you watch American Idol, and if so what do you think about their only hard rocker Chris? I think he would have been better off auditioning for Rockstar, where they may have appreciated his hard edge voice!

Posted by: Linda at April 2, 2006 06:54 PM

Have a Great time!! Thanks for all the "excitement" lastnight. The laughs were so much fun and always enjoyed!!

Peace

Hi everyone!

i cant believe people sang celine's songs on the rockstar audition! haha i'm sure they just wanted to show their great voice, but really? romantic songs for a rock audition??? lol :S

Dave: why is the TPC album taking so long coming out?

Posted by: Marivic at April 2, 2006 08:16 PM

Dave-be honest, is Rockstar affecting the relationships in the Panic Channel.

Can't imagine I'd want to be in Isaac's shoes (not that he has a choice) waiting aroud for my lead guitar player to get back from Cannes...

all love, just asking though...

Posted by: KV at April 2, 2006 08:17 PM

Dave,

When you perform on Guitar, do you have a pre show routine? Do you enjoy routines at all, or are you more of a free form type cat?

Have a great time man!

Dave I just saw this on the net. Is Carmen renovating while you are away?

'CARMEN Electra is reportedly installing an aerial circus hoop in her home - to thrill her husband with X-rated nude tricks. The former Baywatch babe has been taking lessons in circus arts and can't wait to show hubby Dave Navarro her new skills - while she's completely naked. She said: "You can pull yourself up on it and it spins. "You can do all these sexy moves. I take a class. It's a circus school. I'm getting one for the house."'

what's your favorite restaurant in LA and what's your fav dish?

Posted by: Naomi at April 2, 2006 10:33 PM

Dude I just read Don't Try This At Home and it was really good. Thanks for writing that, it had a lot of good stuff in there.

Since it seems that you like unicorns, you should check out this link for the Avenging Unicorn Playset. It pretty much rules.

http://www.mcphee.com/items/11554.html

The best part (aside from the sheer ridiculousness of it) is that the box includes "The Unicorn Code" which has such laws as Unicorns don't use drugs and Unicorns are loyal. Hot.

I feel your pain, I visited a two minute guy once. I'm sure your view is much better than mine was though. arrivederci

ooh and steveL the "too short to reach the magazines" comment ...priceless! hahaha

Posted by: sexsinger at April 3, 2006 04:20 AM

Here's one for Dave:

Just a question about the audtions, what do you think separates the good from teh bad? I'm always so afraid when I go to audtions because I think the other people will be so much more talented than me, but when I saw teh show last year I thought I could have totally done it...

and if anybody wants to post a reply to this... I would appreciate that...

Posted by: Kat at April 3, 2006 04:54 AM

just wanted to say hey many many many thanks to SRL for turning me on to new music artists...

Posted by: Savvy at April 3, 2006 05:00 AM

I saw a band in Cannes once called PAQ SQUALLER I think they are Australian...although they live in Europe

they rip - check em out..long rock/country/acid jams they dont give a fuck about the audience they just play and jam... one of the best shows ever...they love small and seedy clubs..I talked to the bass player after the show..his name was Konstratos...he has like 8 fingers...awesome.
