Not Much To Report
Not a whole lot to report today. This afternoon I have a meeting regarding the Spread Radio Live Clothing Line. We should have that stuff rockin in no time. The highlight of the weekend was Jerry Cantrell's 40th Birthday party on Saturday night. Billy and I rolled in after CFR and had a great time. Eric Avery was in the house and it was awesome to catch up with him. I hadn't seen him since he came into the station months ago.
SRL News: Messy Stench has been doing some on air tests. She should be ready to go live this week. This Tuesday's Dave & Gregg show will not happen as I have a conflict in scheduling. WE WILL BE LIVE TONIGHT AT 6:30PM PST...
It's true, I'm not always as gracious as my wife as is evident in this clip. My apologies to Larry Stern, but damn if this isn't funny anyway. Sometimes, you're just "not in the mood".

That's a great clip. Apologize to no one. He was being a gossip mongerer. You were well within your right to be pissed. I woulda.

Can't wait for the clothing line....will they be T-shirts, or button up shirts, or sweatshirts or hats or.....??? And don't forget to get them in a size for your big-boobied fans....
As for that Larry Stern "interview" I thought you were classy and didn't give him a chance to really let loose--good for you! And the title ("Navarro Goes Ballistic")--if that is you "ballistic", man, you are very mellow!!!!
Posted by: Elizabeth at March 20, 2006 11:20 AM
Seems like you had a little melt down there for a few days... Take it easy or you'll blow a gasket. We don't want that.
Posted by: Mike at March 20, 2006 11:21 AM
Thats awesome about Eric A. He mention anything about an album or musical endevors? Any chance of you guesting on anything he's doing in the future?
Posted by: Juanjay at March 20, 2006 11:36 AM
Hahaha. Dave, you dick. That was awesome.

Hahaha. Dave, you dick. That was awesome. i like how you didn't just storm down the red carpet, but went directly to the people next to him. haha. great shit.
Posted by: Six7Six7 at March 20, 2006 12:12 PM
CFR rocked but I could have used MORE DAVE AND BILLY!!!! AND less Inger. She was sort of, well if you don't have anything nice to say.....
Posted by: Bird Vacine at March 20, 2006 12:18 PM
LOL! Great clip, Dave.
Posted by: davesboa at March 20, 2006 12:26 PM

Bravo Dave!!!!! If he was fishing for a gossip story, he blew it. Yeah..that wasn't ballistic, that was as calm and as cool as you can get.
Hopefully some pics from Jerry's Bday party???

I love that they said you "lashed out" I went and checked it out thinking I would see you go nuts on the guy but as usual you were calm poised and respectful of the situation. I respect you for this and every other time I've seen you handle an ass hole trying to get a rise out of you!!
Posted by: Rain at March 20, 2006 12:41 PM
Hahaha, Dave that jackass deserved it so don't apologise...
Posted by: Simon at March 20, 2006 01:01 PM
I bet he crapped his pants when Dave said that.....
Posted by: Friend Head at March 20, 2006 02:57 PM
He heee
Yeah you worked that punk... how the hell did he get that job anyway?
Posted by: leroy at March 20, 2006 03:01 PM
haha....good going! Great clip. He wanted a rise out of you, I think you turned the table quite well, heehee.
Posted by: stardreme at March 20, 2006 03:42 PM
awesome dave. what a goofy question anyways - didn't deserve a response. but you handled it directly & moved on...love it!!! LOVE it!
Posted by: mary at March 20, 2006 04:08 PM
I like how it says "goes ballistic" when you simply walked away. What the hell? I thought you handled it well, that guy's a jackass.
Posted by: The Ren at March 20, 2006 04:18 PM
Jeez, you're working a press line, and the guy who's cohosting the event, for CHARITY, comes your way..you have 30 seconds to ask him anything, and what do you do...bust his balls about why his wife isn't there, and bring up an Xbox vs. Playstation debate....Edward R. Murrow is rolling in his grave at what passes for journalism...
By the way, is that sweet Gregg in the background there?
love,
jezzi(scoop this!)

I love it! It's nice to see someone in Hollywood being real and actually getting annoyed when someone is being an ass instead of just worrying about "thier image" and trying to always be friendly to everyone. ROCK ON DUDE!
Posted by: Twisted Angel at March 20, 2006 05:54 PM
Man, you and Eric A. I adore Eric, he's such a genius. I would love to see you guys collaborate again in the future.

Don't Try This At Home: $20.00
6767 T-Shirt: $30.00
...Watching Dave rightfully snub an arrogant reporter:
priceless.
That was pretty freakin' funny.

That's ballistic? That's not nearly ballistic. I would have slapped him. God bless you for having more composure that I, Dave. Like Miranda said, he was just a gossip mongerer.
I truly respect how you'll be completely up-front and explicit with anyone. It's a breath of fresh air in today's society where it's all back-talk and under-the-breath.
Keep tellin' it like it is, Dave.

Hello panic community (again),
Hey Dave, I really think you do a good job handling the negative press. Hey, seriously, don't let them get you down - I know I can't begin to imagine what that's like, but I definitely wouldn't care one way or the other, so neither should YOU. Seriously.
On a funnier topic: Did anybody notice how 2 nights ago, some weird messages were posted about sharks and bottomfeeders, press releases (LMAO!), and a "chilly" message to a lurker, telling them to listen to the Trust No One song, not once but twice? OOhh, chills went down my spine, how about yous? Geesh, like what was up with all that??? LOL. Anyway, just call me "dazed", for that is what I am these "days".. ah love can do that sometimes.. mmm'hmm :)
Have a good day everybody, good sex, good jokes, good card games, or whatever turns you on!!
ta'tah loveys!

Hey -
Anyone else having trouble viewing the clip? Oh well, I guess I'm not meant to see this "ballistic" behavior.
Happy to hear that SRL is imminent. Maybe I'll see some of you in the chat room for a while.
Peace out,
Posted by: Denise at March 20, 2006 06:31 PM
Ballistic????????
Lashes out???????????
WTF are they talking about?????
Dave you did the right thing. Ya ended it and moved on. If anything a big THANK YOU for posting that. I am having some anger management issues these days & if anything your actions are continued motivation for my own self controll.
Dave I know you enjoy films & docs. Have you ever heard of "Wrestling with Shadows" The bret Hart story. Another good one is "Beyond the Matt". I know they are both wrestling related but give em a chance I think ya might enjoy.
Buzzin after some cardio...woooo! :)

Hi Dave - You may have answered this, so I apoligize if you have...but are you watching the Fox show PRISON BREAK? I freakin love this show!
Posted by: Peg at March 20, 2006 06:49 PM
Sigh,
Yeah, if you're not normally know as someone who rants, it's the old "what, you think THAT's yelling?" (being rude whatever) Well GOOD. You're a ROCK STAR for cryin out loud! 'Bout time people remembered that, you've been so even tempered lately! (grin)
Why SHOULD you have to stand there and do what somebody else wants just because dude is standing there with a mike in his hand and a smirk on his face?
Glad to see you blow the idiotImeanjournalist off,
Neida

Larry Stern isn't very skilled at talking to people, you know, for an "interviewer."
Posted by: Max at March 20, 2006 07:37 PM
That guy was a tosser! Stupid interviewers pretending to be everyones best friend!
"your bleeding. "I ain't got time to bleed" You got time to duck?"

Funny, I agree...."ballistic" is a little bit of an overstatement!
Posted by: abby at March 20, 2006 08:30 PM
dave, honestly ... I don't think you went ballistic but i do think the guy would have shat his pants. You didn't LOOK like you got angry or at least to me so when you said "do you wanna be a smart ass?" even I almost creamed myself. Carmen was good about it and you laid down the law. Like someone else said, he was just waiting to lure you into the "marital problems" track. To be honest, I've never been in your situation and I know you said that you tried to let it go for a long time and now it's a bit much for you. I don't know if it counts but all that matters is that you and carmen are the only two people who know about your marriage. I hope everything smooths out for you guys with this press thing over time.
x o x o,
zoezee
