Bob Ezrin/Killola

I'm leaving today to Toronto to help induct my friend, producer Bob Ezrin, into the Canadian Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Bob has produced everything from Alice Cooper, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed to 30 Seconds To Mars and the last Jane's Addiction. He just finished the new Army of Anyone album featuring Richard Patrick and the DeLeo brothers. This is a much deserved honor for him and a huge honor for me to be a part of this historic event.

Last night's Spread Radio Live was a lot of fun. It felt great to back with co-host Gregg Simon. Obviously I won't be home for tomorrow's show but I plan to broadcast at some point from my room in Toronto. Who knows, maybe I'll get Bob to stop by and say a few words.

Speaking of SRL, Killola has won by a landslide as the new SRL Indie Artist of the Month. Congratulations to Killola and a huge thank you to everyone who voted and participated in this new endeavor on SRL. This means, of course, that we are now searching for five new unsigned artists to be a part of the March search for the Indie Artist of the Month. If you would like to submit your band or an artist you like, please do not send us any music. Our server crashes from all the files we get. Instead, please send the link to the band's site or MySpace page and we will check them out.

Dave

Im back to reading Andy Warhols diary...Dave what do you think of that guy...he comes off as snooty and insecure of his image in my opinion. Ive read entries almost daily from 1970-1984 and he hasnt mentioned one sexual relationship of his own but tells everone elses bedbuddies and what they wore to dinner, the snotty things they said, and embarrassing things that happen to the rich n famous. Im fascinated that he is so much not like I would expect. I guess I just expected more details about Andy and not the early lives of the SNL/NY scene. A lotta gossip. Sean Lennon sounds like a great kid growing up, and Jean Michel Basquiat is the eccentric person I expected to find Andy was. Andy would have been a good reporter. Ever meet Andy Warhol? Are you into art? Do you paint?

Keep your ears open for that scholarship!!!!Sent the application in to UCONN last week! Cant believe it

Hey Dave, I was just wondering are you going to play songs from your album on March 10 in Atlantic City? Just curious. This Decades show sounds like a great lineup-I won a contest a couple of months ago off of the radio for the Doors Decades Rock and backstage passes. It royally sucked because of technical problems, bad suprise guests (Pat Travers was good and poor Perry Ferrall was being nailed by guys in the crowd with garbage and homosexual references), and most of all, security kicked me out when they never heard of the radio station that I won the tickets from and never got to meet the Doors. Fortunately for the millionaries and rich people, they got to meet them. The real fans will be left out waiting in the cold for a glimpse of their choosen hero passing away in a limo to the next hot party..

Hi -

Have a safe trip to and from Toronto and have a wonderful time!

I agree that SRL was great. Some of the stories at the end were quite interesting. Your frankness and honesty is refreshing and appreciated!

Congrats to Killola and best of luck to all you aspiring bands out there!

Cheers,
