BeE on Spread Radio Live!
Tonight on Spread Radio Live: BeE JeLlYfIsH will debut her own show at 10:00pm PST! This will be the first time a new DJ will be going live from another location... We are finally on our way to creating the SRL family of hosts. Be sure to check it out or listen for BeE's show in rotation. Times will be posted on SRL. The Messy Stench Show should be up and running by next week as well!
The idea here is to have all of our DJ's fully independent and self sufficient from their own locations. Spread Radio Live basically uses the Internet as it's office and headquarters. As you know, we can broadcast from anywhere we can find a connection. Thanx to Robert, Gregg, BeE, Messy and Chase for making all of this possible as well as our sponsors, Rock.com and Live365.com.

SRL Tomorrow
I am going to postpone tonight's Spread Radio Live until tomorrow night as I have a satellite interview with Donnie Deutsch and Mark Burnett this evening. I don't know when it airs. A lot of rumors around about the next Rockstar season. I cannot really speak about it yet but I can say that all of the rumors are inaccurate. As soon as I have final confirmation, I will let you know. It's been pretty quiet around here lately. I have been recovering from a nasty cold and Carmen is in Vienna.
A great movie: The Chumscrubber
1. Although the latest Bloody Mary mix is definitely sweeter, I was listening to the older version today and I wondered why you guys scrapped that dark, droning, ethereal, instrumental ending?
Well, that version still exists. We just wanted to make it a stronger song overall and focus on the story. I prefer the "tighter" version myself, but I am sure we will rock the outro live.
There is only a week left to vote for your favorite Indie band on Spread Radio Live. Killola is WAY out in front. It's looking like they might be the next featured artist.

Getting Better
Finally I am feeling better. I have been in bed for about five days with this damn cold. I see a lift in the fog.
1. What do you think of Trent's opinion of the Grammys?
Well, of course I find them to be meaningless. They are pretty much just a reason to go out to a bunch of parties and hang out. However, if I ever win one, I am sure I will find them to be the most accurate method of calculating artistic merit in the history of mankind.
2. Do you have any interest in the Olympics Dave?
Carmen and I are big fans of the Olympics. We are always looking for new positions.
Last night I took off from SRL due to Valentine's Day. I'll be back up on Thursday for sure.

Sunday SRL
Hey people, sorry about the CFR cancellation last night, I have been getting over a pretty gnarly cold. All I have done over the past few days is lay in bed and watch a lot of TV and movies. Here are some quick reviews as I honestly have nothing else to talk about:
The Shield: Season 4 - Yes, I watched an entire season yesterday. As always, The Shield pretty much rules.
Into The Blue: Although the under water photography was really amazing and beautiful, they should have called this one, "Into The Awful".
Today is all about The Film Is Not Yet Rated, a documentary about the ratings system in Hollywood. I interviewed the film makers on Indie from Sundance and this film sounds really compelling and scandalous. I'll fill you in after I have seen it.
Also, I know there have been questions about the Podcasts. They will be back, but setting up all of the SRL Indie stuff has been a huge undertaking and required a lot of time and energy on Loop's part. Now that we are all set up, things will more than likely go back to normal around here. Thanx for your patience. In fact, let me take this moment to thank Robert and Chase for their tireless dedication to the site and what we are trying to do with it.
Sick at home + nothing to do = Spread Radio Live for a few hours on Sunday afternoon! 2:00pm PST

CORE
Update: I will not be in tonight for CFR as I have come down with a cold.
Last night, Billy and I finally got our Camp Freddy "core band" tattoos. They simply say, "CORE". We went down to The Shamrock Social Club Tattoo Shop on the Sunset Strip and had them done by the world renowned artist, Mark Mahoney. We actually took the needle and did a little work on each other's ink. I know it sounds a little Brokeback, but it was done in a total "rock-brothers in arms" way!
(Actually, that sounds even more Brokeback... But whatever!)
Right now on SRL, it's looking like a tight race between Killola and Jontom. It's all up to you guys, but remember, you can always champion your favorite by sending out bulletins and mass e-mails to your friends to sway the votes!

SRL Updates
Gregg and I did an all new Spread Radio Live show last night, as tonight's regular Thursday show has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. At some point today, the New York show with Steve, the JFK show with Steve and the show from last night with Gregg will all be in rotation on SRL. Our trip to New York was amazing but we might have to readdress some of the mastering bits we did. No big deal, in fact, the last two records I have done had to be remastered a couple of times to get it right. It's hard to know exactly what things sound like till you get home and listen to things on your own system. It's all good though, the record is a mere hours away from being totally done, mastered and sequenced.
The SRL Indie site has been getting a lot of hits. Thanx for your participation! As for new submissions of Indie bands, we will be looking at requests later in the month. Right now we are just tweaking and making sure this all works smoothly. So far, so good. For the time being, we are only accepting submissions from the artists themselves, as we have already received over 1000 entries from fans. We love your enthusiasm, but we also need to be able to give each submission our full attention. If you are a fan of a particular Indie band and wish to help them out, please contact them and have them send in their request. This way, we won't be weeding through lists and bands that don't want to participate. Plus, you would be doing them a great service. Of course, when it comes to the voting, it's all up to the fans.

SRL Indie/CFR/TPC
Good morning! Our Indie section of Spread Radio Live should be up by tonight or tomorrow. We have all five band submissions for this month, so if we didn't get to yours, there is always next month. Once we have our listener's poll in place we will be ready to launch and hear from you. Robert has done an outstanding job with setting all of this up. Thanx homey!
Smashing Pumpkins? Not a shred of truth to that, but even having my name attached in the rumor mill is a compliment as they are one of my favorite bands of that era. I don't go to many shows as some of you know, but I would certainly make the effort to go out and see them. The last show I went to was NIN in Vegas.
CFR Tonight: Dono and Billy have a very special guest so be sure to tune in. I will be with Isaacs mixing our final track, Blue Bruises. Tomorrow we head out to New York for the final sequencing and mastering. I still don't have the confirmed release date as we are in the middle of scheduling the year, but you can be sure to hear some new material from us on CFR next week and on Spread Radio Live. Also, for this week's Tuesday installment of SRL, I am gonna try to broadcast live with Steve from New York. Perhaps we'll slide a new song into the playlist.

Spread Radio Live Indie Artists
Our new Indie section on Spread Radio Live is almost completed and should be up by this weekend. There will be five bands highlighted with their own profile, pic and bio, as well as a separate Indie Player that will have up to three songs from each band. SRL listeners will be able to vote for their favorite entry and at the end of each month, the winner will become the featured Indie artist of the following month on SRL. From the home page, you can access the Indie section of the site where you will find the entries for the month. Once you have selected a band, you will be taken to that band's own area on SRL. (See the above photo.) The rest is up to you!

Good Morning
Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. I've been working on the record and getting ready for New York next week where we will do our mastering for the finished album. I honestly couldn't be happier with it. At the last minute, I talked everyone into retracking Blue Bruises. The mix we had just wasn't up to the sonic level of the rest of the record. We went into the studio and recorded it from scratch and I can tell you that I am very happy we did. It sounds like us now. All that remains is one guitar fix and a few fine toothed comb listen throughs and we should be mixing it by Saturday. We now find ourselves in the position of having too much material for the record and needing to decide what stays and what goes by mastering as well as sequencing which is an art unto itself. I know that this record seems like it has taken forever, and in some ways it feels like it has, but I really feel that we needed to go through this process and become a band by taking our time, building personal and musical relationships, dealing with dramas coming out the other side.
New on Spread Radio Live: We will soon be accepting submissions for Indie artist of the month. Please do not send us mp3s, but a link to the band's music site. We will choose 5 artists every month from your submissions and each band will have their own "area" on SRL. SRL users will vote which artist will win the top spot to be featured on SRL's main page. The winner will be exposed to everyone who visits our website, as well as become featured for the month.
Once a band is chosen they will be notified by e-mail with a link to access our Indie section along with a user name and password. The band can log in, fill out the information and upload 3 mp3's to be streamed on the band page.
