Spread Radio Live Player
New on Spread Radio Live: Robert and I have just launched the new SRL Player, complete with your choice of three different themes. Here is a tip. Right now the player is a pop up when you access the site, so if you have your pop up windows disabled in your browser's preferences, you may need to enable them. We also have a seperate link for the player as an option right here. Of course, all the other players are still available if you'd rather go that route. (iTunes, WMP, RP)

Hey Dave,
I know you're a big Pink Floyd fan and I was wondering what your thoughts were on 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' and 'The Division Bell'?
Posted by: Andrew at January 19, 2006 01:16 PM
I really like the Spread Radio player you guys got up there now. It's simple and to the point..Stop/Play/Volume/Date/Song Display.
And it's way better than my other players! Good job!

Love the SRL player. Thanks!
Posted by: healtopalm at January 19, 2006 01:30 PM
My IE STILL won't let it play! :'( It opened the window though...
I have that same problem when I try to listen from the SRL MySpace page. It's there, it just won't play. B
Posted by: Jenn at January 19, 2006 01:42 PM
Oh, and just FYI, I CAN listen to other stations, watch videos, listen to music without a problem. Something just won't let me listen to SRL. I'm cursed.

Bee-autiful pic!! When is our favorite SG coming back to do another show?
Posted by: Bonita at January 19, 2006 01:47 PM
Hi peeps! Long time, no post, but I keep up day-to-day on everyone's thoughts here and SRL. You guys are the best. And I'm glad someone else thinks bed hair on a man is sexy. Yumm.
An idea for Chilly Dave: How about the Twin Cities fave native Jordis guesting on the new season? Either a duet with a contestant, or better, a coach to the contestants? Who better to advise them?
And a quick movie recommendation: Brokeback Mountain is a beautiful love story. Go see it with Carmen. I guarantee you she'll cry, and you probably will too.

Hey Dave, I can't wait to the TPC album! Quick question, I was on the Camp Freddy website and I noticed that at the Sun Microsystems Birthday Party (June 29/05), one of the guests listed is Brett Anderson. I was wondering if this was the Brett Anderson from Suede and if so, how he got involved. It just seems like a bit of an odd pairing. Keep up the rock Dave!

Lovely pic today!!!

This has nothing to do with SRL...but I just wanted to tell Dave (if he's reading this) that is he F-ing HILARIOUS. I love his sense of humor. He always cracks me up with his blogs...and especially on the "Till Death Do Us Part" commentary. I almost peed my panties. Yikes, you didn't need to know that. Anyways, Dave, you are so naturally funny...and in a word: Awesome. p.s. I heart Carmen too.
Posted by: Steph at January 19, 2006 04:58 PM
Oh, question! Is there a particular blog we need to go to if we want to ask Dave a question? Or does he read all the comments to filter through to the questions? I can't figure it out for the life of me. (What can I say? I'm new here)
Posted by: Steph at January 19, 2006 05:03 PM
Wow. I was listening to itunes, and then clicked on the SRL player. What a difference! Thanks Dave. :)
Posted by: dead scorpy at January 19, 2006 05:26 PM
Sweet! Both the player AND the pic!
Can any of you figure out what the second theme is a picture of? Are they forcepts? And a chain? It's hard to tell.
Spreading the love,
Deena

ITS MY BIRTHDAY! 18!!
Posted by: Zach at January 19, 2006 07:28 PM
Dave,
The player looks wonderful.
Do you know if in the future the elapsed time will be added to the player? One of the things I liked on the SRL page was the time remaining on a song or how long until you & gregg would talk again.

I would like to say thank you for donating to and for pushing Cure Autism Now. I work for Midland Association for Retarded Citizens and supervise several homes with residents that are diagnosed with Autism. They are amazing individuals that are trapped inside. There are not alot of celebrities that push Autism to the forefront. Thank you for doing this.

Reading through the posts and saw the thing about you donating to Cure Autism Now. Just wanted to say, you rock, Dave. I have an 8 year old son diagnosed with autism. He's doing really wonderful and is my sunshine. You picked a great cause to support, and I think even more of you than I did 2 minutes ago :O)

ot... 'King Kong' is an excellent movie... i actually prefer it over the other two because of the advanced fx of today over yesterdays... if you haven't seen it, it would be an excellent Valentine's Day date movie, believe it or not...

Ok--I'm lost-if anyone can help me. I recall one of the links here had some Loop Experiment stuff on it. (Not the direct link to the www.loopexperiment.com site...But there was one here somewhere..If anyone knows what I'm talking about--can you clue me in to where it is? Or maybe Dave took it off? Dave? Heh

Posted by: Savvy1007 at January 21, 2006 05:35 PM
Dave:
I was reading through some past posts and one mentioned "Daves heart truly being with Rock star"...my question...is your heart truly with that show...or is your wallet more with that show. Question 2.Would someone not diggin the show offend you if it were posted here? I guess its a cool idea, but, i guess I would think your heart to be with your own music not such a show as rockstar. "I would never judge a person by how they earn a living...its too tough a world."
It also baffles me that people dont know who Layne Staley, the Monkees, Krist Novecelic and Dave Grohl are. Its like whats a Velvet Underground? Brian Wilsons still alive? And Pet Sounds can only be found at the zoo? My concern is people watch too much television, and dont get out enough to find what they are looking for.
2 years clean coming soon!
Muchas ***s!!! Steve L-thanks for the sanity

Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday!
If you haven't checked out rudy's link yet, DO SO. I saw it on another site and was going to post it, but he beat me to it. The music ROCKS, and there are a few shots of Dave rocking along, goin' on with his bad self.
I'm so glad that it worked for me... made my morning! Several of my favorite musicians doing one of my favorite songs = Heaven!
Hope everyone is well.
Love,

Neida, Im 27 and still think of myself as young but yeah times they are a changin. I sometimes wonder when I listen to the radio if music is evolving or devolving. Thats why I try to check out a lot of live music, see whats going on in the city, and network with others to find what really should be going down at "shakedown" so to speak. There is so much stuff to be found is what Ive discovered. Some is new, some is old. I recently discovered John Frusciantes 6 solo albums which blew my mind. Along with that I received a Radiohead cd from England the night of the trade center bombing. I also was turned on to a Piano cd of live Bruce Hornesby which is so pretty. Sent a James Brown from Paris in 71 to someone from this site and with karma ended up received a Phish show from Japan that had blown my mind someone had stolen from me months back. If you havent heard "Pet Sounds", or the Velvet Underground, or Stevie Wonders "Inner Visions" be glad because next time you feel your not finding what your looking for on the radio-head to the record store.
To Jezzi: That post to me kinda put a smile on my face as Im currently sleepy from a late night reading Moby Dick- the story of the white whale. "Ahoy Mate!" Hope alls well wit cha.
Anyone spotted a Creepy loser? If so kick him a smile, dont kick him.
Dave-I have like 200 something Dead tapes with your name on em if youd like, something from every year. Have you watched that car auction on the SPEED channel? Its on today, make sure to check it out! Anyone see that shit?
Sineramente:
Boots
whose point is that music is like cars, it all has validity and purpose. whether new or old, you will find classics and need to continually search through the new and old stuff for that same feeling you can only get from this single source-so get down wit yo bad self and make some, buy some, trade some, turn someone on to some, drive to it, sleep to it, funk to it, fuck to it,phish to it, get to it, refer to it, and live with it because its one of those things that goes with everything...."even Life needs a soundtrack!"
