Dave,
are you looking forward to seeing David Gilmour on his upcomming tour?
Posted by: joel at January 7, 2006 01:50 PM
Andy,
Apologies if my comment in some way deserved the sarcastic remark. I didn't think it was overly demanding of a touring musician to ask about their touring plans. I've never met anyone who has taken offence at the question before. It's worth remembering in the future that questions are being vetted for quality though. Thanks.
Posted by: Matt at January 7, 2006 02:34 PM
Just been brought to my attention that Andy's comment was probably not aimed at mine. My full apologies for jumpin' the gun. Thanks.
Posted by: Matt at January 7, 2006 02:52 PM
Matt, your question was fine. Myself, I didn't even get what Andy was even referring to. I was a little puzzled why he posted that, until you replied.

Hey when are you going to form the greatest Rock N Roll band of all time? Its got Weiland on vocals and Tommy Lee on drums. And on bass... I don't know. I was thinking image when I came up with the idea, but musically I think it would work pretty well too. So whos going to play bass, and when will this take place. Thanks, Zotis.

Is there a reason why I can't hear anything?
Posted by: Darwin at January 7, 2006 06:16 PM

Well, I am gonna have 2 listen to the show via the podcast as I went to see Match Point and also went to the Vickie's killer bra sale. Anyways, I called tonight late and I was gonna tell you Dave that you MUST see this Woody Allen flick, it's brilliant! But you guys were doing some give away thing which, don't get me wrong I love, but I had just gotten out of the mall and la la la you know...Anyways, peeps y'all have got 2 see this movie. Usually I can guess the ending as I have great women's intuition, but not this one. Scarlett is hot and god, what an incredible actor she is! Well, I'm off to my new stuff....yay........peace. ck
Posted by: Carly at January 7, 2006 09:34 PM
i never would have guessed it was a woody allen flick had i not known beforehand. be curious to know what you thought of it.

I've just finished reading the post about your fight at Rokbar! (I think that was what Andy was referring to btw)
Dave - I've got some pink boxing gloves if you wanna borrow them? And just a hint when fighting big fuck off guys - go for the nuts - it brings them down to your level so you can get a nice punch to the face. Works even better if you've got steel capped boots on *grin*
Got beaten by bird flu again this weekend so missed CFR - looks like I'll be catching up on the podcast AGAIN!
Posted by: Miffy at January 8, 2006 03:00 AM
Miffy!!!
You're going to scare Dave, and every guy in here with a set of nads.
I've been very careful not to mention your rock climbing, weight training, football hooligan ways. I mean we all know about the pink boxing gloves. But even I didn't know about the steel toed §hi†-kickers. I bet they make you hand over your boot laces at football matches. And just how big are those §hi†-kickers, and more importantly what color are your boot laces?
Wearing a cup,
LostBoy
BTW I'm sorry the bird poo flu got you again. I'm off to leave you some egg drop soup, in your mailbox. In a nice way, with bowl, spoon and extra napkins.

Good morning Dave, good morning family...
just in case there is a Sunday Q and A....
1. With those "in the know" predicting the demise in a few years of albums in favor of digital downloads, I wondered if you still actually purchase CDs yourself, if so, what was the last one?
2. Do artists receive more royalties from downloads or from album sales, given that the downloads are done through a paying service?
3.Regarding your Sundance roving reporter gig, are there going to be people you are told to interview and questions you are supposed to ask, or are you on your own? I have this vision of you as a Huell Howser sort, with a "Louie" by your side ( I hope there is someone out there who gets that reference)
4. How are Daisy and Kiko getting on? Daisy IS the alpha shemale!!(Messy Stench reference, haha)
5.I know you are making an appearance at NAMM, cause Billy said so, do you have the times scheduled, so I know when to make the Jack Bauer inspired commando raid on the doorman? (kidding!! I jest)
Camp Freddy Radio was terrific last night, great music, and easy on the eyes!!
love
jezzi

Oh,almost forgot..
Tom and Chris from Myspace are going to be at Sundance, doing events to promote their independent film section. Any plans to meet the original myspace friend?
jezzi(he was my first)

Don't know if you know this or not Dave.
But your podcast link in iTunes in borked.
it no longer updates.
You have to manually download the mp3, and then add it to iTunes.
And it shows as a regular sound file, and not part of the "Podcast" section.
I kinda liked keeping all of the CFR stuff in the podcast link.

It was good to see CFR. I missed Billy and Donovan (awwww). It was a good show and the music picks were really rockin' last night. Adam Ant at the top and just kept going strong.
It was good to hear and see you all and to be able to chat!

Wow. Costa Mesa Red Onion (Caligula). Last time I was there was with a fake ID many many moons ago. It is no longer there.

LB - don't worry - only boot nads in self-defense - I'm a pacifist until provoked (or until I get PMT - whichever comes first).
UK Size 8 steel-toed doc martins - with pink laces (what else!). Did I mention that I collect teddy bears as well?
Miffy x (well I did tell you I was a living contradiction!);-)
Posted by: Miffy at January 8, 2006 08:12 AM
and if there is a Sunday 10, Dave, do you smoke cigars?
Posted by: beth at January 8, 2006 08:12 AM
I do offer to kiss it better afterwards - does that help? {{giggle giggle}}
Posted by: Miffy at January 8, 2006 08:13 AM
For a "Sunday 10"....Are you up for a Quit Smoking Challenge?

Perk is one hell of a drummer! what does it feel like to be friends with and to work with such an amazingly talented brilliant drummer???
Posted by: Kyle at January 8, 2006 10:06 AM
Dave, do you sleep in the nude?
Posted by: ylais at January 8, 2006 11:34 AM
HOT DAMN !!! DOC MARTINS WITH PINK LACES !!!
Miffy, I'm heading straight for your in-box now. Don't keep me waiting...
Taking the cup off,
LostBoy
and Dave
You can come out from behind Jezzi's skirt. Miffy is not after YOUR nads. On second thought Dave, better keep hiding. Miffy probably is after your nads. You know how women like to collect things.
BTW Miffy I hope you have those little white lacey school girl socks, to go with your §hi†-kicker boots.
Posted by: LostBoy at January 8, 2006 11:54 AM
I was going to call in and ask you this question Dave but I have to ask you HERE-
If you were stranded on a desert island which ONE cd would you have with you?
