Studio Shift
I know it has been almost a week since my last post. We have been working long hours in the studio and it looks like we are pretty much finished with most of the songs. Today we are tracking two more from scratch in a different studio. I am personally looking forward to these as they are really all about the sonic journey. Apart from these two I can't think of much more that needs to be done. I am actually really happy about the fact that I had to take the summer off for the show, as I have been able to rethink some things and come back with a new perspective. As for a release date, I haven't really thought too much about that. I know we are shooting for the early part of the year 2006 but we haven't even handed in the latest version yet. I'll check in later and see if I can't get a cast going from the studio.

Thanks for the update, Dave! It's so easy for us as the audience to lose sight of all of the hours, days and months of hard work that go into maybe an hour's worth of listening pleasure. With all of your shared perspective, I know I'll appreciate it that much more when I finally do get to hear it all. Everyone enjoy your weekend!!

Hey Dave,
What kind of hair gel do you use when it gets long and flat?

Posted by: SweetMelis at November 4, 2005 11:11 AM
Sounds good Dave. Do the songs take on a new meaning/shape for you after stepping away from them for a while and then coming back to it? Sounds like the recording is going well, can't wait to hear it dude! :)
Peace!

P.S. Hey to Sue and Kristen! What'd you guys think of NIN last nite? :)
Posted by: Sean at November 4, 2005 11:18 AM
Hi D & 67’ers,
Can’t wait for the album.
Last night, I met Trent. Soundcheck. Even Deeper , Dead Souls, the Frail/Wretched and Wish five feet away from me in the light. He signed my inserts from TDS and the Fragile. What a show!!!
Oh, and we met Chris Cornell, Tom, Brad and Tim during soundcheck for the Audioslave show Saturday, what a week—Chris and Trent within 5 days.
Saw Sean from here at NIN, too.
Have a great weekend everyone,
Love,
Sue

Thank FCUK for that! I'm off the naughty step! (promise to go to TCP from now on!)
Good to see you Dave but goddammit - another web cast - another occassion when I will miss it!
Have a good weekend everyone - Miffy, over and out x

Wow Sue, sounds like you had a great week. IDK you were meeting Trent, that's very cool. I, on the other hand, had the WORST concert week of my life. I think you all know about my little Audioslave adventure to the hospital, after only getting to see 4 songs, but on top of that, I couldn't get to NIN because of recovering that was just 2 nights later. Worst. Week. Ever. :(.
Posted by: Lyn at November 4, 2005 12:08 PM
Lyn sorry to hear you had a sucky week.
Dave thanks for the update. It was killin' me to know what was up. Too bad I can't ask for it for christmas.
Hey, since your anniversary is commin up, what are your plans with the wife? What are ya gonna get her? What would you get a girl that has the world's most beautiful man?
Hope that everyone is doing well. I am fabulous as always. Have a nice weekend family and Dave.
Shot out to QQQ, have not seen you in a while. Hope things are cool. Jezzi, hope you had a nice b-day.
Much love, CC

Hello Dave! and Hello community!
Sounds like you have had time to really pour yourself into this project, Dave. It is good to step out of the hectic pace of life every now and then, relax, and take a good look around. Excited to hear about how much progress you guys are making on the album, I can't wait.
Are you still in the process of picking photos for the traveling TNO display? or is this project on hold for now?
Much love,
Carolina

Hey Dave and 67ies,
I am so glad to hear things are moving along with TPC album. Can't wait to hear a preview of it! Not to mention catching you on tour finally...
Sue-Im so glad you had a great time at the NIN show. I am very jealous...did u take any pics? You should post a full recap on the NIN thread in the community. Im hoping there will be M&G for the Oakland show. When they came thru Sacramento they pulled everyone in at 5:00. We arrived at 5:20!! >:/ This time I will be arriving much earlier, let me tell ya!
I hope you all have a great weekend. I for one will be trying to enjoy what will probably be the last weekend of decent weather for a while.
Love,
~Amber :)

I didn't abandon you, or the cake. I had to get up, get dressed and go to work. Which is really starting to pi$$ me off. That whole work thingy is really starting to cut into my personal life.

Hello Dave and family!!
My hubby and I were cruising the WCC site and saw the Grand National again. I had to hand him a towel cuz he kept drooling!! His '77 Malibu is in getting new paint as we speak. He drives his on a daily basis. How often do you take the Nat'l out for a spin?
Happy Weekend everyone,
Bonita

Hey Dave!
I've been looking at pics of you on Jenettes site (I don't think I spelled that right), but I noticed that you, like almost every other rockstar, has those pants that lace up in the crotch, where do you get them?? I mean they're like a necessity if you wanna do music, so I wanna get them for my guy, but I can't find where to buy them. Could you please help me out. Thanks hun.

Hi Dave, Hi family...yes,you ARE mi familia, thank you SO much for all your birthday wishes, and emails, and ecards, and posts, it meant a lot to me. I have been feeling very sad, disillusioned, etc, with the world around me, and my place in it, and you guys helped make me feel almost loved!!
ok, well, off I go in further pursuit of my inner geek, reading Andy Warhol's Interview Coffee Table book collection at the local CB and TL, drinking my Blueberry/Pomegranate tea...just kidding, gimme Coffee, no frills, no muss, but I will take it white and sweet...
love to all
jezzi(Have fun in the studio, Dave!!)

Hi everyone!
Sounds like lots of exciting developments in the studio. Very cool.
Sue, Sean, etc... Glad you had a good time at the shows.
Lyn... Sorry you didn't. Hope you're feeling better.
Jezzi... You're not alone in your disillusionment - sometime's it's the story of my life. And you ARE loved. Chin up!
If I'm not very lucid, it's b/c I'm super sleepy today. There's a pillow with my name all over it.
Good night, all!

Good morning Dave and 6767ers!
I just thought of a question Dave.
Do you think if you were doing something as for as work alittle more "white collar" type job you'd still have all the ink?
I was thinking about how nice it would feel to get totally inked and be able to show it off (as you do) without all the strange looks. Heh
It just brings back some odd situations with my tattoos. I had one interview and this lady asked me "Can you take them off?"..I'm not even sure which tattoo she seen cause I thought I disguised them rather well..Hmm

Hey Dave...Hey Everyone
Dave...I was in the Times Square Virgin Mega Store here in NYC last night with my girlfriends when I saw a display of soft covered DTTAH. Seeing your face on the cover struck a chord with one of my friends who proceeded to tell me that earlier in the day on the Wendy Williams show here in New York, she heard Wendy mention that Carmen's family was involved in a house fire. My friend didn't hear the complete story but if there's any truth to it I hope and pray that her family is safe and unharmed.
Looking forward to tonight's cast. I listen every Saturday as I'm getting ready to go out on the town for the night. Although I think I'll be staying in yet another Saturday night (2 weekends in a row) because I just can't kick this Strep & Bronchitis that I caught 2 weeks ago after returning from Vegas. Wondering if there's such a thing as New York/Vegas "sars" bc I sure feel like I caught a case.
Sidenote: Is there anyway (or anywhere) I could get my copy of DTTAH autographed? You know maybe send it so some sort of secret P.O. Box or something where you could sign it and send it back to me? That would really rock. A chick can dream right?
Have a great day everybody!
With love from NYC,
~GiGi :o)~

P.S. If you ever need a stylist for hair/make-up/etc while you're in NYC...I'm ya girl. 17th & Broadway. I know you probably have a slue of them but I just wanted to throw that out there in case you need one in an emergency or something.
