Vegas CF Show Tonight

I'm going back to Vegas for another Camp Freddy show tonight at the Empire Ballroom. Tonight's Camp Freddy Radio on Indie 103.1 will be a rebroadcast. I hit the studio yesterday and finished the guitar tracks for Go On and She Won't Last. I'll be back tomorrow so if there are any Sunday 10's let me know.

Morning Dave & Family!

Have a great show Dave! Not much going on here in the Pacific Northwest.... just gonna relax on my day off.... oh! I have gone over 3 weeks without a cig. Been difficult the last week....

What is your current relationship with Perry Farrell, will you work with him again? Please explain. Regards, Paul

Hiya Dave and Everyone,

I thought you might use the word fortnight for the rebroadcasted show, that is if it is the one with you and Carmen..

1. I would like to ask where you got the idea for this website?

2. If you wanted to know anything about your fans what would it be? (I know someone asked this one before but I never saw a response).

3. Did you check out about the movie that Carmen is supposedly going to be in?

Here is the link for the wesite saying that she is. (Her name in it is Jackie Mankiller) hehe.

Have a great weekend all..

I know I've asked this before but I didn't get an answer so here it goes again: is the right hand on the website banner there because you're a follower of the right-hand path?

Any more TV stuff in the works for you or things we could be on the look out for?

Thanks,

I had a dream that I was giving you a blowjob and when I looked up at you, you were eating an eclair with a big-ass grin on your face. Any idea what it means?

Good morning Dave, I noticed that the paperback editon of DTTAH is now available on Amazon.com.Here are some book-related questions.
1.Are the proceeds for paperback going to Musicians Assistance Program, as the hardcover's did?
2.Any plans to do book signings?
3.Will the photobooth outtake gallery show be taking place in November or December?
4.Any word on possible venues? I know you mentioned L.A. and N.Y. Are there particular galleries you are favoring?
5.Whatever happened to Live and Direct with Rita "it hurts to talk" Cosby?

love to all

Yeah, I have one...(Sunday 10)
On one of the early Celebrity Poker shows you played against ol'whatzizname from the old WKLP in Cincinati. He played with an unlit cigarette in his mouth for at least half the game and I wondered if that was just to torture YOU. I saw that others in that game had decided you were the one to beat but I didn't know if he was a smoker too and if the unlit cig was for his benefit. So what's the scoop, was he running for the door during breaks for a smoke, or was he just trying to get to you?

Posted by: Amanda at October 22, 2005 01:14 PM

Ah Jez! I am so frickin' proud of you girl!

Have fun tonight Dave!

Is there any song that you'd like CF to cover that you haven't done yet?

Posted by: Kate at October 22, 2005 01:24 PM

Here's a couple questions to consider for Sunday 10:

~Whats the word on a possible Camp Freddy album?
~What's something about yourself that you think your fans would be suprised to learn?
~What do you feel is the biggest misconception about yourself?
~If I was to look into your stereo today what CD's would I find?
~Seen any good movies from Netflix lately?
~Do you play party poker online? If so whats your screenname on their website so we can play you...or just watch! ;)

Jezzi, great job going strong for 30 days! That's awesome...Keep it up!

Hope everyone has a great weekend...wish I was in Vegas :)

Hey Dave,

I see that you have a link-in-progress for Podcasts which will presumably be enabled soon. I imagine that will allow us to download an archive of Camp Freddy broadcasts. My question is whether there will broadcasts of the show that pre-date when you started making them available for podcast. For example I'm really interested in hearing the Camp Freddy show that included Eric Avery...are they going to be made available?

Thanks

Daniel

**DAVE**

Ok I have 2 DTTAH questions for you:

1. Did you ever get to the bottom of Mr Young and his pager, or did it turn out to be one of life's many mysteries?

2. Do you know approx how much money your book has raised for M.A.P.?

Win big in Vegas!!

Hey Dave,
A few questions:
1. If you were contacted to be a guest on The Surreal Life, would you be insulted or honored?
2. Do you take baths ever or are you strictly a shower guy?
3. Ever think about doing Lou Reed's Sweet Jane as a CF cover?
Good luck tonight!
Love you!!!

Dave,

Was wonderin' about your relationship with other musicians in the studio. I always got the impression from interviews that you regretted the way Ritual was (mostly) recorded separately by the four musicians, but it sounds as though that is the way TPC is progressing, with the individuals laying down their parts separately. How do you avoid losing the vibe/groove that you get actually standing there playing the song with your comrades?

Keep it up

Posted by: ed at October 22, 2005 03:53 PM

Dave...one for the 10

the ssri vid said the album was coming Fall 2005, n I must admit, I was a little worried by the Boston method of recording you mentioned on CF last week (reminds me, what happened with that guy's fender? all bow down to hummers!)

any release date roughly pencilled in yet?

cheers dude

Hi Dave, hope you have a kick ass time at the show (im sure it'll ROCK!!!)

listen, i have a question, what was the first guitar that you played on?(the one that you started on)i'd love to know

Hiya Dave, have a great time with CF in Vegas!

Questions:

1- Any word on when the Camp Freddy album will be
released?

2&3- When and where will the DTTAH photobooth art show be? Will you be featuring those photos on here?

4-Do you prefer playing with Camp Freddy, or with The Panic Channel, and why?

Cheers Dave!

Kate- thank you for answering me..i was starting to take the lack of response personal. ha,ha.

miffy- sorry. but i haven't seen any episode this season because i am waiting to get the first season so i can catch up on it first...so it might make a little bit of sense. i just hadn't seen this particular character (which was the whole reason i wanted to start watching the series in the first place.) btw-desperate housewives started about a month ago here too. i forget not all of us are on the same schedule.

Marivic- it is impossible to get someone to admit they have a problem if they don't want to. trust me. the more you push the more problems that you will have with this person. so you have to figure out if you are willing to stick around and be there for them (and this means putting up with much shit)when they finally realize it or if it is too much for you to handle, then you need to make an exit. there are some things that you can do to help them of course but they are more like 'i'll be here when you need me to' etc. people will not change unless they either wake up and decide they no longer know/like who they have become..or until they have a major wake up call like an accident. but that doesn't mean that they don't still need you. okay, enough rambling now...got lost in old memories for a minute. good luck.

dave- if you could change one thing that has happened in your life what would it be?
--how do you stay grounded? do you remember what it was like before every girl wanted you? (which they do..)
--what is your favorite movie, book, cd, actor/ress? (if these are common knowledge, sorry but i don't know them)
--who inspires you?

love
moonrider

ps jezzi--CONGRATS!

-Have you ever played poker with James Woods? I saw him on Conan awhile back, he came accross as an asshole, douchebag and totally hilarious! In your opinion, does this guy have the game to back up his schtick?

Posted by: Spencer at October 22, 2005 08:07 PM

Hey Dave, i was wondering did you ever meet Kurt Cobain cause i was watch mtv cribs and saw that you have one of his guitars in your house?

Also do you Surf? or have you tryed to?

and i know this a dumb question but is there any chance of Janes Addiction ever getting back together? Cause i went out and got a copy of the Three Days dvd and it looked like one of the most f.ucking rad live show ever, it was just awsome.
cheers

I have a question...

"Why do birds suddenly appear...?"

*giggle*

Posted by: Zestiny at October 23, 2005 02:06 AM

And Jezzi - *hugs* well done sweetie, keep up the good work!

Posted by: Zestiny at October 23, 2005 02:07 AM

So Dave,

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS !!! Ignore everyone else.

How will you and Carmen be celebrating the most significant holiday of the year?

Have you and Carmen decided on your Halloween costumes yet?

If so, what?

Are you going to stay home and hand out candy? Or party? Or both?

Do you give out the good stuff? Or the 20 pound bag of crap for $1.99 stuff?

Theoretically, would you give candy to a trick or treating 23 year old diabetic, dressed as the Easter Bunny (minus one ear)? If said fictional trick or treater, had allegedly responsible friends following him around all night, with glucose meter and appropriate meds?

Warning: I'll be severely disappointed, if you answer those last two questions wrong.

Actually, everyone needs to answer those last two questions. So I can decide if I still like them, OR NOT !!!

Lost in Suburbia,
LostBoy

Posted by: LostBoy at October 23, 2005 03:12 AM

I remember that last year you had planned to go as Bunny Boy from Gummo but it was changed for some reason. The burning question is: Will you appear as Bunny Boy this year? Gummo fans the world over await. :)

Dave, What ever became of the acoutic guitar auction? OR did I just like totally miss the boat on that one?

Ohh, With the Gallery showing, is there any chance of a coffee table book with these photo's as well

thank you pet

Hello, Dave,

You said awhile back that you were taking a vacation when Rock Star was finished (paraphrased). I wondered if you have any travel plans, where you would like to go, when you think you will be taking your much needed break.

Do you think TPC will be available before Christmas?

Always,
me

Posted by: Angel at October 23, 2005 08:17 AM

Some for the Sunday 10 (afraid some are repeats):-

1. Who is your favourite guitarist ever?

2. What is the one question (if any) that you get most fed up with answering?

3. What is the one question that you either wish someone would ask you or you would ask yourself if you had the opportunity (?!) and what is the answer?

4. Did you get to see Jack Osbourne's tv series where he undertook various training exercises in order to climb El Capitan (I think) - it was awesome. I have gained a totally new found respect for him - that boy has balls!

5. What is the most surprising item in your music/cd/mp3 collection? (Abba took me by surprise and also wasn't expecting Lady's Night which nobody else seemed to pick up on!)

LostBoy - I bought loads of sweets for Halloween last year and not a single bloody child turned up at my door. If the same thing happens again this year feel free to come on over and help yourself - even have some diabetic chocolate in there if you're interested ;-)

As for Gene Simmons - don't know if you guys get it in the US but he is currently doing a tv show over here where he is working as a music teacher at a private school and teaching a whole load of classically trained kids to be heavy metal rock stars. Episode 1 was hilarious - he scared the living daylights out of these kids! It's actually the school where one of my friends has her son - we had a bit of a shock when we turned up there recently and he introduced his music teacher! The only thing I am confused with is that the show says that he has never been married - I had it in my head that he was - anybody know the answer?

Posted by: Miffy at October 23, 2005 08:27 AM

Hi Heather, thanks for this answer, guess i'll just keep been there, i've been doing it for a few years now... just hope this stops before it gets more damadgefull...

Dave: how would you like to see live that you haven't yet? and who would you like perform with that you haven't yet?

Jezzi, great work, keep on going ;)

Marivic

Posted by: Marivic at October 23, 2005 08:27 AM

Just as an added update - was doing my washing yesterday, bent to put it in the machine and boom - back totally went AGAIN! That's 3 times in the last 2 weeks! So maybe chocolate isn't medicinal after all :-(

Also now have an allergic reaction to something I am wearing - haven't got a clue what though which makes it fun!

So, do I take anti-histamines to stop me scratching my skin off or do I take painkillers to enable me to stand without screaming? Hmm - tricky decision - maybe that would be a good one for the Sunday 10! ;-)

Posted by: Miffy at October 23, 2005 08:31 AM

Miffy, take both. I do.

Posted by: ylais at October 23, 2005 08:58 AM

Are you going to be answering peoples video questions? Or is that still being worked on? Cause I'm thinking-I may make a nice new one! :) and ask a question this time.

Posted by: Diane/FRI13th at October 23, 2005 11:33 AM

Hey Dave I hope the show went well! And I must say this now, because I've been forgetting for awhile. I downloaded the cover of Kashmir with you guys and Maynard from APC and I gotta say that is a great cover!! Props to you!

And I know I've asked this once before, but I really hope it happens...But will we ever See the Spread and Rhimorse CD's go in Shop 13?

Be Well,
~Shannon~

Dave, any suggestions for those who put in a good few hours a day on guitar, as far as tension in the wrist goes?

Posted by: Pete at October 23, 2005 01:05 PM

Belated RockStar:INXS questions:

1) In an interview, Brooke Burke mentioned that Daisy Fuentes and Rachel Perry (among others) were vying for the hostess job on RS:INXS. Do you know who else was auditioning for the mentor position?

2) As someone who has filled a role in a previously existing band, did you give JD any advice/insight, etc... from your RHCP days?

Posted by: Caffeinated Sue at October 23, 2005 01:38 PM

Ylais - thanks for the tip but taking both just makes me get REALLY sick - am going with anti-histamines taken about 4 hours before diazepam - gives one a chance to wear off before I start the other and the diazepam knocks me out for the night so I don't feel the itching - at least that's what I'm hoping!

I can feel another trip to the docs coming on - can't take anti inflammatories though as they make my stomach bleed so not sure how much they can do (although they did try giving me Viox once before to get over that - hmmm, that worked NOT - they made my eyes swell up so I had to come straight off them - from the evidence since, I think I was the lucky one!)

Posted by: Miffy at October 23, 2005 02:08 PM

2 final questions for the Sunday 10:

1. Have just finished watching the original Italian Job - so which do you think is better, the original or the re-make? (I had forgotten how funny the original was)

2. And finally - its 10.15pm on a Sunday night, I have allergic reactions on my arms and legs, my back is in agony - why do I care what film you prefer? And why can't I stop singing Close To Me by the Carpenters (thanks Zestiny!) ;-)

Me, diazepam, bed - laters x

Posted by: Miffy at October 23, 2005 02:12 PM

Miffy, Gene isn't married. He has had a relationship with Shannon for 20 years and has two kids. Dave, any plans for kids in the near future. I would HIGHLY recommend it. You two would make some GORGEOUS kids. It is a tough job, but you will love it!
