Sundance/Camp Freddy Show
Last night Camp Freddy played for a Sundance Channel launch party of their new show, Iconoclasts. Here is the set list from the show:
Ballroom Blitz: Donovan
Feel Like Makin Love: Jordis Unga, Jerry Cantrell
Surrender: Jerry Cantrell, Billy Duffy
Love Removal Machine: Billy Morrison, Billy Duffy
Brass In Pocket: Macy Gray
Whole Lotta Love: Ty Taylor, Jerry Cantrell
Cat Scratch Fever: Mark McGrath, Jerry Cantrell
Pretty Vacant: Mark McGrath, Steve Jones
Suffragette City: Donovan, Steve Jones
Crackerman: Scott Weiland
Roadhouse Blues: Scott Weiland, Billy Duffy
I Wanna Be Your Dog: Everyone
Also, The Panic Channel show on Nov. 5th has been unfortunately cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. We are in the home stretch of finishing our record and we need to make use of our time to get this thing done. Or producer, Josh Abraham is only free for so long as well as his studio. We will reschedule the show and I will for sure let you know when that is. I will say that the tracks are coming out really great and Steve Isaacs has been doing a fantastic job, not only with his vocals and creativity, but with keeping the momentum alive. I went in the other day to do some guitars and I was blown away with the progress he has made.
Anyone see Lost last night? I did and I still can't figure out if anything actually happened. It was by far my least favorite episode. I was worried when they started introducing more characters. I think my concerns have been realized. "Lost" an hour of my life.

I recently bought your album "Trust no one"---it is very good.. You have a really good voice! Also, what is your book called? I want to get it but I always forget the damn title! Hi all,
Everyone's raving about Lost over here in the UK - I'll have to catch up, cos I like the sound of it. I'm addicted to Arrested Development at the moment - funniest and wittiest thing I've seen in a long time.
Dave, I was wondering something about Carmen. Has she ever been approached to be a Bond girl and if not would she like to be?

Posted by: Julie at October 20, 2005 12:52 PM
I watched lost last night. I totally sucked. No hidden clues or anything (except the legs of "the others"). Now it is not coming back on for 3 weeks. I will totally forget everything by then. I am still addicted though!!
Oh well.I guess I will just have to go to the world series here in beautiful Houston, Texas next Wednesday since Lost will not be on.

have you heard anything by Placbo? If so, what do you think?
Posted by: rocket queen at October 20, 2005 01:08 PM
Scotty doing Crackerman in a club. Damn. It's been a while since I've seen that. Like Myrtle Beach, STP, HOB, summer of '2000. That was one of those special nights. A night you never forget.
Posted by: Lyn at October 20, 2005 01:11 PM
Lost will never suck for me, but it was a very low key show. No endings with "what the FUCK was that!".... ah well. It laid down some groundwork tho, and I'd venture to say the "Other" with the Teddybear was probably French chick's son that was kidnapped 16 years ago.
Sorry to hear the PC show is cancelled, and I just got my ticket from ticketmaster yesterday too. No Dave fix for me for a while. (hint hint, how about a CF show soon for us fans again).
Claudinha, I'm VERY pleased to see you are on the road. Keep on trudging that road, and remember you are not alone. God bless!

I agree, WTF is going on with that show. Cool idea, but I missed the first episode and I've been trying to catch up since...

Sounds like an excellent show!! I like that setlist a lot.
Yay for TPC album!! Hopefully when you guys tour it won't be 18+ or 21+ venues so I'll actually get to see you guys. AND get to hear Half Hearted live. Oh how I love that song!

Hey Dave and 67ers :)
I haven't seen last nights episode of Lost yet, but I did figure out that all the numbers (4,8,15,16,23,42)add up to be 108...the number of minutes between the pushing of the button drama. Don't know if that means anything really...quien sabes!? Oh yeah, also there was 23 survivors on the other side of the island and 42 from the front of the plane. Again...not sure what that means but some more food for thought. :)
Hope everyone has a good day. I hurt my knee again last night by working out too hard...hopefully a day of rest will help it heal quicker this time around. Think I'll watch last nights episode on my Tivo. (my best friend during a day of couch rest!)

Hi Dave and everyone,
Good news, The doc says the blood work came out cler for chicken pox and it shouldn't be shingles either. He thinks I just got bit by something and having a bad allergic reaction.
Also I have never watched 'Lost' because I don't think people could be lost in this day in age for this long and always thought I would lose an hour of my life watching it like Dave said.
Have a lovely day and night all.

okay, i always wanted to watch Lost last year and was always at work. the reason i wanted to start watching it last year was because one of the actresses from Roswell was casted on Lost. i have Lost in layaway right now, but all the episodes that i have seen previews of (of this season) claire is not in them. what happened to claire? i missed all but the last few minutes of the season finale so did she get killed? or is she 'missing'?
Posted by: Heather at October 20, 2005 02:49 PM
Dave, this site rules. You rule, too.
I know this seems unorthodox, but I have a major favor to ask you. My 13 year-old niece, she lives in FL, is doing a year-long scholastic project for her school's "gifted" program. Cos she's gifted, see. She decided she wanted her subject to be "The History of the Electric Guitar." And that's fuc**ng awesome. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to know that she is actually COOL. All those mix cd's I sent her with loads of Siouxsie, Curve, Jane's, NIN, Bauhaus, etc... are paying off. WHEW.
She needs to get in contact with a famous electric guitar player. Do an interview. Ask questions, get opinions, feelings, etc. Maybe have it taped. That kind of thing. Would you be interested in helping us out? It would mean more than the world to this here loyal fan of yours.
C'mon, now -- help make our youth better by encouraging them to worship Rock-n-Roll, aw
fuc* yes! Let me know, okay?
Posted by: Tim C at October 20, 2005 02:49 PM
Don't worry about us, Dave. The music is what is important!
Although, I'll miss the chat, I have to work this weekend anyway!
As far as "Lost" is concerned, I allow myself to get sucked into one show a season...and "Lost" didn't make the cut.

Hey Dave, sorry to read you were disappointed with the last Lost episode but in case it wasn't as obvious just yet.. things are going to change ** careful might be spoilers **
I don't think it's a show about weird smoke and a bunch of people waiting to be rescued anymore... Things are happening in the island and to the people.. aren't you curious to know what happened to the 20 survivors that died by the "others"? I'm not quite sure myself but the promo for the next episode {which will air in 3 weeks} implied one of the crash survivors will be "lost".. so something's happening there.. the creator of the show did say they were not dead... so who knows.
Personally i dig the new twists, i think its getting much darker and creepier, the new charecters are full of mystery.. just think what will happen when they get to the other side of the island..
but hey, guess we'll see when the show will jump the shark, i doubt it'll be this season though.

Claire and the baby are absolutely fine. They recently dined on peanut butter, found in the bunker they blew the hatch on.
Second season of Lost started last month. The first season is out on DVD.

Dave,
Have you had a chance to listen to Rafael Moreira's Acid Guitar CD yet? Went up on sale a week or so ago on cdbaby. Sounds great. Did you enjoy your time jamming with him?
Posted by: Gristletoe at October 20, 2005 11:35 PM
Yeah, Lost wasn't too good, it was as if they completely forgot about the hatch. I don't believe we have to wait three weeks for the next episode, I just heard the most gigantic spoiler/rumour and now I've got to wait for ages to see if it's actually true! Apparently, the people who play the others are really nice ppl..one of my sisters works for CNN and saw them in the lobby of CNN. Strange.
Have a nice day/night everyone,
crish xx.
Posted by: crish at October 21, 2005 12:52 AM
Lost was massively over-hyped over here and I must admit that what I've seen so far hasn't really lived up to it - am getting REALLY bored with it.
From the stuff being posted on here though it sounds like the second series is going to be better so I'm guessing I am going to have to persevere with Series 1.
One request though - please don't post too much info! The UK are WAY behind you guys and the girl with the baby only went missing last week! Assuming the posts above are accurate, I now know that they eventually find her so it does kind of ruin some of the suspense. As for the other side of the island, the others and the button - WTF?????!? Now I have to lose so many more hours of my life continuing to watch to find out what you are all talking about!
Any chance that you could start your posts with big LOST SPOILER notice or LOST SERIES 2 INFO or something? Then I can avoid reading the ones that will give away too much.
Personally - I can't wait for Series 2 of Desperate Housewives - I think the guy who plays Mike helps - serious SCFMEs! ;-)

I always felt like Lost was gonna lose it's intensity, coz they got too tangled and there was gonna be a moment where they couldn't anything else to keep going with that and they were gonna screw it... they got it so suspense that there wasn't any thing else to keep going up and up, so they went down.... that is not so interesting anymore...
Claudihna: i'm glad you're ok, of course there are some bad days, but they will keep getting better and better... be strong...
BTW guys, i have 2 friends (one of them was my bf) and they have problems too, but they don't recognize it, they keep saying that they're fine, and i don't know what to do to help them.. i guess that until they realized they can't control it there's nothing we can do, but i don't want accept it... i don't wanna just sit and see how they rok botton... any advice?? i don't know how to make them understan that they are not fine, and they need to get some help....

I actually liked this week's episode of Lost. When Lost first started, I didn't care for neither Sun nor Jin but the more of their backstory I see, the more of an attachment I make with the characters. It gives them much more dimension.
That being said, I saw Sun's wedding ring being buried with the bottle a mile away!

Awesome setlist, DAMMIT. :)
Hope you have an awesome weekend, Dave and 67'ers!
(I got to do the chauffeuring thing again..
Steve I. explained at the Community how the band was behind on studio time, and how it would be an inconvenience to disassemble everything, then go right back and get it all set up again, who can blame you guys for that decision? I personally believe that when you're ready and done and hit the stage again, it will be truly awesome and unforgettable! ( my .2)
Posted by: Junebug at October 21, 2005 08:37 AM
A quick review of the CF show Wed( I lucked out through a Grey Goose connection);
Very different vibe compared to a typical show because the crowd was spread out and 25% of the people there weren't sure what they were about to see. The band took the stage to a low key reception, which you could tell they were not used to. After "Ballroom Blitz", Dono actually thought it was necessary to introduce the band and invite people closer to the stage, probably something Dave hasn't seen in 15 years.
Once the show started rolling, the fans got more into it. The atmosphere increased when the guests started filing out. The biggest responses (at least from the people around me) were for Steve Jones (older people) and Mark McGrath (chicks). I thought it was kinda funny.
The place got all fired up when Scott Weiland (all 98 pounds of him. I cannot emphasize how skinny this dude is) took the stage. He did all the signature stage moves with the hat and bullhorn and all. Great stage presence. He did crack the band up though when he started singing the wrong verse on "Roadhouse Blues".
Props to the band and the guests for playing like they were at Wembley and not a small LA party. Very professional.
Personal critique: Ty and Jordis gave great vocal performances, however having them share the stage with the likes of Scott Weiland and Jerry Cantrell almost isn't fair. Opposite ends of the scale in the "showmanship" category. They would have been "Lets go get a drink" songs, but lucky for me, the bar was 15 ft from center stage.
It was a very fun night overall. Can't wait for the next "real fans" show.
If anyone has more questions, just ask.
