Halloween

Well, tonight is Halloween. As for costumes, Carmen is going to be a school girl and I decided on the grim reaper. We went to the costume store yesterday and it was so insanely crazy and busy in there, I had to make a decision... fast. The reaper was quick and easy so I went with that, although some of the suggestions we got on Saturday's CFR were amazing. The best part of my costume is the boots. 6 inch lifts. Who knows? Maybe they can become my everyday shoes as I am like 6 foot 3 in them.

It's a shame the bunny ears can't make an appearance. Lifts or not, you're a giant in my book (sorry for the cheese, but it's true!). Have fun Man.

Hahaha! I like the part about the boots and being like 6'3" in them. I'd like to see those boots actually.

On Regis and Kelly today, Gelman dressed up like you (complete with the CE tat and nipple rings...) and the other producer guy, Artie I think, dressed up as Carmen. It was cute. Did you see it?

Happy Halloween!!

So what will "The Grim Reaper" and "Little School Girl" be doing for Halloween? Will you be staying home and giving out candy to the little tykes. Or will you be out partying? Or both? Will there be pumpkin smashing afterwards?

Me and my friends were just debating whether or not we're too old to be smashing pumpkins. I'm thinking we should stick to our own pumpkins, and leave the rest for drunken high schoolers. Any opinion Dave? Anyone? We need to decide by 4 a.m.

BTW, that Grim Reaper costume is creepy scary. Don't show up at my house trick or treating, OK? However Carmen can come and stay as long as she wants. And she can have all the candy she wants. That's by unanimous vote, so say we all.

Still handing out candy,

Dude, that's dope! Those shoes are silly tall!

Posted by: Spencer at October 31, 2005 06:57 PM

Was that a regular school girl or a "dead-type" school girl? I imagine that Carmen could do an awesome make-up job for the latter. I dig the boots. You should wear them for the next CF show.

Happy Halloween Family!!

HI I went to Berklee with Chris Chaney, I noticed he is your right hand man lately. We both were on the 8th floor dorm rooms at Berklee. Chris would make me laugh a lot with his impromptu bass lines for porn movies and I remember him being the number 1 telemarketer for a job he had. Anyway wanted to say hi, this is Lara Wechsler, flute, sound. The last time I saw him he was doing an MTV unplugged right here in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Academy of Music with Alanis morresette. I was working for See Factor sound company.

Hiya Dave and all!!

Happy Halloween!!

Dave that is a cool costume still. Don't think I have ever seen grim reaper with a black skull.. Hey maybe you can wear your club kid jacket with the boots sometime..

Took my daughter trick or treating and she was soooo not into it. But I think next year she will be as she is only 2 years old right now. :)

I hope everybody stays safe and have a great night all..

You totally have the Donnie Darko thing going on with that mask. You just need Frank the Bunny ears.

I wonder if you got those boots around where I live - I'm in the bermuda triangle of hookers shoes. I'd love to see pictures! Where does Carmen come up to on you when you've got those on? Hmmmm?

Happy Halloween!

"If you are the grim reaper, the grim reaper can visit me any time!"

I was just gonna say that, Tammi. LOL. The mask is quite creepy... but if Dave takes it off and shows that face of his, he'll have lots of folks wanting to join him in the afterworld!

Hope everyone is having a great time, whatever you're doing.

Gooood eeeevening (that's my vampire voice),

My fiance constantly gets stopped and is told "Dude, you know who you look like? That guy married to Carmen Electra" Or "You look just like Dave Navarro" So we figured why not for Halloween so we dressed up like you and Carmen, I of course look nothing like Carmen, but my finace, whos name is also Dave does resemble you.
I dont know, do you think thats kinda creepy or cool? Would love to send you the pict!

Dave - how do you feel about so many people dressing as you for Halloween? Does it creep you out a bit or is it all in good fun?

So what did everyone dress up as this year, if at all?

This year I was a vampire decked out in a very nice all black suit, silver tie and black eyeliner/lipstick. Really, I didn't decide to call myself a vampire until after putting on the clothes and makeup. :) Did my partying over the weekend though. Tonite was all about school work for me.

Peace!

Miffy, sorry I didn't reply before..I was out buying some Halloween treats.
That's so sweet of you to offer to get me the Gromit mug if you can! I'd really appreciate it! I'll email you later today! Look how excited I am over a Gromit mug!!!! :D hugs, Lisa xxxx

I didn't dress up this year. I'm sort of always a freak....:P

Hey Dave,

You can only wear the boots everyday if you also wear full KISS make up every day. ;)

Hope you had a great holloween.

jinx, itanja, you owe me a coke

Posted by: jezebel at October 31, 2005 11:45 PM

Hi jezzi,

I was uploading that photo at TinyPic, as yours was probably going through here! Great minds think alike! lol

I couldn't find anymore of Gelman as Dave. I found mine at the 'Regis & Kelly' site, where did you find yours?? Did you photograph it off the screen?

I actually think Nick Lachey looked much better as Dave in that SNL sketch!

take care,

Another halloween - no kids turn up - me overloading on sugar ;-)

Seriously - my sister-in-law actually brought my nephews round just to get rid of some of the sweets I had! (their first time trick or treating - very funny - neither of them knew what to say so the youngest one just stood there and farted instead! Not sure whether that was meant to be the trick or the treat!)

You can put money on it that next year I won't buy any sweets for the little "darlings" and they will all turn up at my door! Bah, humbug!

Hope you all had a good one x

Awwww...I was hoping for a report about your night as Jerry Cantrell. I was at a party last night and there was a couple there dressed as You and Jordis:) was kinda cool. I would love to see a pic of you and Carmen together in costume...take care!

Posted by: Scott Williams at November 1, 2005 09:32 AM

Dave,

Finally bought your book and had a chance to read it while I was in detox this weekend(yes I missed Halloween which sucks). I loved it..too cool.I feel like I know you so much better as a person and the shit you've been through even though we've never met and being a long time fan of your music.

Some of it was so funny I was laughing out loud but I'm not sure if some was exagerated or fictionalized or not. It brought me back to the old TNO days so I've decided to change my screen name back to the one I use to use on your old Capitol Records message board.

Peace out,
Ryan-Pinhead
